I have seen a few DCxMarvel dimension travel fics, and quite a few of them are of them are Peter Parker post-blip. Which gives me a crack fic idea: everyone who got snapped ended up in the DC universe. Yes, all of them.

The current world population is around eight billion, so half of that would be 4 billion... Yeah that would cause so so so many problems. But the DC universe is used to crazy shit.

Obviously there would be a sudden influx of "new" heroes and villains but with absolutely no context it is hard to figure out who is who.

Batman immediately trying to make contingency plans for all these new heroes and villains as well as figure out their civilian identities but this is very difficult because literally no records exist yet.

Magic users from both worlds team up, but I think they were still unable to fix it, the infinity stones were just too powerful. Also I think Dr. Strange and Constantine can't stand each other.

While I am at it, Wonder Woman and Loki would probably hate each other too. DC is more Greek but it has had their own version of Norse mythology, so maybe they are the same and have beef?

They would struggle to feed and house that many new people, but getting them jobs and integrating them into society would be hard too. And good luck proving anything anyone says. "You swear you have a law degree from Harvard? Okay I guess."

Do doubles exist? Yeah a lot of people probably don't have an alternate universe double, but it stands to reason some do. How do you deal with having a new kind-of twin? Or a dead friend or relative coming back, but different? Or even someone you never knew/doesn't exist in this world insisting they are family.

Some au double ideas I have seen people toss around are: Dick Grayson as Richard Parker, Kara Danvers as Carol Danvers, Steve Trevor as Steve Rogers, and Slade Wilson as/being somehow related to Wade Wilson, but I am sure there are other fun ideas out there too.

The snap didn't just affect humans/earth! So other planets are having the same problems.

Then randomly, five years later, just when people were getting used to the change, they all disappear again without warning. This causes as many problems as the original appearance did.

I never fully considered the time travel implications of a time traveling ballpit when reading the book. "Freddy’s" very much felt like it's own little world, especially since Oswald just had tokens in his pockets when he needed them.

But the game likes to make you think about the time travel. It let's you make a paper pal in Freddy’s you can see at Jeff's too, It moves the mallet. And Ozzy can clearly go outside

Did the events in Freddy’s even take place over multiple nights? It couldve been just 1 from that time's pov

Do Mike and Chip think he's dead? Do all those kids remember the one who saved them all, looking for his dad, and always ran deeper into the Pizzeria when the rabbit caught up? Is Oz remembered as another kid to go missing during the tragedy at Freddy’s?

Did they ever try to break in themselves when the rabbit was gone? To try and discover their friend's fate? Did they ever find anything? Do they see blood at the ballpit?

You can imagine an au where they go in it themselves, into the future.

You can imagine an au where Oswald lost and become Foxy. Would they recognize him? Would he recognize them?

You can imagine an au where they grow up, and finally see their friend Oz again, a child in the now rundown and emptying town

What if Oswald chose to leave while in the past like that ending? What would happen after? Where would he live? What would happen when he ages, and one day, sees himself, bored at Jeff's Pizza?

Where did the trope of everyone leaving Hawkins except Steve come from? He canonically admits he wants to travel America? He's not some sad little baby who wallows in his sadness? he knows who he is and what he likes? Plus he'd never let Robin go alone. Come on.

Imagine Second Chance AU:

Shadow's gone back too far in time, and now is the sole guardian of apparently an orphaned baby blue hoglet that's somehow destined to become the Hero of Mobius.

Petrified that remaining too long in the wrong time period will step on too many butterflies, Shadow resolves to gather the Chaos Emeralds and travel to the correct time, back to the future and save Sonic.

But what to do with the baby? He can't just abandon him, he'll die and then the future will still be in jeopardy, but who can he leave him with? None of the future Hero's friends are around or able to care for a kid yet...so Shadow does the only thing he can: take the babe with him until he can find him a good home.

Collecting the Chaos Emeralds proves to be an easier feat.

Shadow is NOT a parent by any stretch, but finds himself the only able caretaker for baby Sonic on this journey. At first, he's just trying to keep the kid alive and well, but slowly, Sonic worms his way into Shadow's heart. And by the time Shadow has learned the location of the seventh Emerald, he's found a home for Sonic.

It's a good home with good people that will take good care of the baby, Shadow knows this. He did his due diligence, and now he can complete the mission he set out to do: Save Sonic. But when he turns to leave Sonic's new home, a little voice cries out: "DADA!!!"

Shadow freezes. He can't believe his ears. And then he hears it again. That same little voice that has been nonsensically babbling his ear off and costing him a decent night's rest and slowing him down and giving him cardiac arrest after cardiac arrest: "DADA!!!!"

And Shadow knows right then and there that his previous mission is over. It had been for a long time, but he was too stubborn to see it.

He's got a new mission now.

(Or that one AU where Shadow goes back in time to save Sonic's life but instead adopts him as a baby and irrevocably changes history as a result.)

shot in the dark has so many great little character things that are jokes but not, but one of my favorites is shawn's habit of renting places that are not apartments because they're defunct businesses because the rent is cheaper. lines up nicely with his history of odd jobs that he does because they look interesting and then he gets bored of. and it also tracks that he wouldn't live somewhere longer than a year despite having the means to do so, because what's he gonna do with an apartment??? cook dinner in it???? his dad hatessss this but short of actually dragging shawn to see prospective places there's nothing he can do, and this is an activity neither of them would enjoy. so like he currently lives at a dry cleaner's that still has a moveable clothes rack. and is breathing in probably so many toxic chemicals every day
