so, being the confident man he was, dallas discarded his place at the bar and walked over to you, placing a hand on your shoulder, turning you to face him.

you nodded with a furrowed brow. with your full attention dallas dragged you to a more relaxed and quiet corner of the bar, his hand still holding onto your shoulder. “what it is?” you sounded so innocent, as if you didn’t know how mad dallas looked.

“are you kiddin’ me? you was just flirting with that stud.” he exclaimed, his new york accent becoming more pronounced as he got more worked up.

“and?” you replied, still completely confused.

dallas was stunned. and it took everything in him to say the words he said. “i thought we was datin’, man!” with that, you frowned.

you didn’t mean to hurt him, you didn’t know he felt like that. you had never hung out with someone long enough to know if they had feelings. but now was different. “you thought we were dating?” you asked with a slight tilt of your head.
