Onkalo Heart is a Pokémon Sword and Shield fanfic featuring Chairman Rose. After he awakens Eternatus, Rose wakes up days later in the hospital, with a Wishing Star where his heart used to be. It's clear he won't find answers if he turns himself in, so he decides to take his leave and search on his own–but as a man on the run, he's forced to seek help from questionable characters who don't always have his best interests in mind.

My thoughts on Rose as a character + Eternatus as nuclear power + the utena references in SwSh + making an OC to ship with him all combined into this fic. I have put a deranged amount of effort into the themes and symbolism. Enjoy!

Is it weird that I’ve been convinced ever since I met him that Unknown smells like olive oil. Every time i think about it I can’t imagine him smelling like anything else even though it makes no sense

Olive oil? Now, that's a new one I haven't heard before. I don't know if it's better or worse than hearing someone think he smells like he took a shower inside an Axe bottle. Olive oil is pungent though, with a sort of thick smell of something fruity but so dense you can't tell for sure what it is. Waxy and stale when it goes bad. It's a wonder how there'd be a way for him to smell that way. I'm sure there's no cologne that is like that scent, but maybe you're imagining him in the kitchen!

God knows he needs to eat better and make food for himself, unlike two particular boys who only eat caffeine pills and sweets. Maybe all this time your brain has just imagined him in the kitchen, making his bread dough malleable and fluffy, wearing a "kiss the hacker" apron on his waist?

I just think everyone should take a moment to consider the question "what is your visual shorthand for cruelty?" and then follow it up with a critical "and who taught you that?"

specific examples include but are not limited to

why is an evil timeline character design disabled? (why do the heroes go through equally punishing battles and never lose an arm, a leg, an eye?)

why are the futuristic scifi terrorists uniformly darker skinned? (why are the heroes so much lighter?)

why is the greedy boss fat? (why are the heroes skinny?)

why is the criminal mastermind heavily scarred? (why is the brooding, traumatized hero unscathed?)

why is the predatory creep a bearded person in a dress and makeup? (why are none of the heroes trans women?)

who taught you that this is how things are?

how long do you plan on repeating it?

the funniest meltdown ive ever had was in college when i got so overstimulated that i could Not speak, including over text. one of my friends was trying to talk me through it but i was solely using emojis because they were easier than trying to come up with words so he started using primarily emojis as well just to make things feel balanced. this was not the Most effective strategy... until. he tried to ask me "you okay?" but the way he chose to do that was by sending "👉🏼👌🏼❓" and i was so shocked by suddenly being asked if i was dtf that i was like WHAT???? WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY TO ME?????????? and thus was verbal again
