Despite halting development, tumblr has somehow managed to tweak posts to make them slightly less opaque. Guys why are you bothering with this stuff? Leave it alone.

@autisticslp asked (on the old blog):
Tumblr media
So a lot of cooking advice that people tend to give that seems very basic honestly comes from decades of experience; there's a post that floats around Tumblr sometimes, actually, that talks about how a lot of "cooking from intuition" isn't actually intuition at all. It's deeply ingrained memorization about the "laws of cooking" that we've learned over time, that feel like second nature to us to the point where we no longer have to think about it or physically reference recipes or tutorials anymore.
In essence: We're good at "taking what we have on hand and making a meal of it" because we have a lot of practice! We've built up a skill! A skill you're lacking in. And that's not a bad thing! But it also means that you shouldn't be too hard on yourself because you don't know or can't seem to grasp this stuff that seems so "second nature" or "easy" to a lot of the cooks you know. You're still really new at this! And with various disabilities and mental illnesses, cognitive issues, etc? Of course you're going to struggle harder at it than "most" seem to, to you!
As a secondary aside to that, you mentioned growing up on a farm. But farming and gardening, and the various forms of food preservation that frequently comes alongside small family subsistence farms, is a very different skill set! Knowing what's seasonal in your garden doesn't necessarily inherently translate into cooking it, and building a full meal up from scratch unless you also had someone who had that skill as well to teach you that.
I know my Husband's mom sure as hell didn't. He grew up on a farm like that, and she could can all day ... But Lord. She couldn't cook to save her life. She attempted to impart neither of these skills to my Husband, either ... I grew up on one, as well. But where my mom couldn't can or garden to save her life, she was a damned good cook and imparted those skills to me. Now I'm passing them on to my Husband decades later, because his mother failed to.
What you're ultimately missing is a fundamental set of basic skills, and a knowledge set built up over time and practice. And the good news is, those are really simple skills to learn. The bad news is, it does take a while to learn them and to build up that pool of knowledge. Most of it's experimentation, though, and not a lot of it's super difficult.
For basic knowledge of cooking science and spices, I'd recommend The Science of Cooking and The Science of Spice- both by Dr. Stuart Farrimond. I own both and love them dearly. They'll debunk some common myths, and give you a basic understanding of certain food sciences that are honestly really helpful.
When you feel like you're ready to actually sit down and experiment with spices, I love The Encyclopedia of Spices and Herbs: An Essential Guide to the Flavors of the World by Padma Lakshmi. It has information on various spices, tells you their cultural contexts, mentions what they're usually used on in those contexts (vegetables, which meats, etc), and even gives you some common cultural spice blends (though doesn't provide measurements). It's a thick boy, but it's a really fun one to work through if you have no introduction to spices or idea how to use them.
Past that, something you need to build yourself is a well stocked pantry with staple basics. I can't tell you what those are for you. That's something you have to figure out for yourself based on what you cook, how often, etc. But my minimum has always been at least 2 months worth of food in my pantry at any given time, across a broad enough spectrum that I can pick just about anything out of a recipe and only really need to shop for the fresh or immediate-need ingredients each week.
Staple Grains like Rice, Lentils, Cous Cous, and Quinoa.
Pasta Noodles of various types- like Elbow, Rigatoni, Bowtie, Penne, Fettuccini, and Spaghetti
Potatoes in the form of Mashed Potatoes and Scalloped Potatoes both, as well as a "fresh" bag each of Russet, Yellow, and Red Potatoes
Onions. I keep a mesh bag each of Red and Yellow (or White; whichever's cheapest at the time I'm shopping) on hand at all times.
Boxes of Stock (Chicken, Beef, Vegetable, and Protein Broth when I can find it)
Canned items that I use a lot of, like Diced Tomatoes, Tomato Sauce, Tomato Paste, every kind of Bean (Cannellini, Great Northern, Dark Red, Light red, Black, Pinto, etc), and Chickpeas; plus canned fish (Tuna and Salmon, Sardines, etc)
Condensed Creams Of (Chicken and Mushroom are the two we use most often)
Spices. Of every kind. You literally do not want to see my spice box. It's insane. Yes I'm proud of it. But it would make the average person cry with confusion and fear.
Frozen Veggies in the freezer (Green Beans, Brussel Sprouts, Broccoli, Carrots, Squashes, etc; personally I prefer the frozen to the canned)
I'm sure there's stuff I'm forgetting. But ultimately when you have a full pantry and only have to buy your fresh or immediate-need ingredients? It not only massively saves your grocery bill each week, but it also makes it so much easier to "make things with what you have on hand". Because a large part of the trick is, honestly, having things on hand to make stuff with in the first place. And that's really the big secret that goes unspoken in a lot of circles. But it really shouldn't be an unspoken secret, because it holds so many people back.
Another secret is just knowing basic cooking methods. What is chopping vs dicing? How do you pan fry? What's a dry fry vs a wet fry? What about baking? Broiling? Boiling? What happens if you stew an ingredient instead? How big does it have to be for each of these methods? How does it perform with rice as opposed to cous cous? How is it raw- if it can be eaten raw? Other than that, just knowing recipes is really going to be the big key.
Unfortunately I don't have a recommend for learning any of these ones, since I learned all this the hard way. I do see some cook books that could be useful (like Veg-table: Recipes, Techniques, and Plant Science for Big-Flavored Vegetable-Focused Meals by Nik Sharma; or Vegetables: The Ultimate Cookbook Featuring 300+ Delicious Plant-Based Recipes by Laura Sorkin). I can't personally recommend them, however, because I've never read or used them. But there's a lot of information out there on youtube that can be very helpful, especially for methodology since it's a visual medium- which is, I think, the best way to learn some of these skills in particular.
Personally, I did the recipe thing by looking at cuisines from regions where those foods or ingredients were really popular. So take your Eggplant for example. Eggplants feature a lot in Mediterranean, Levantine, and Middle Eastern cuisines. So when you want to learn how to use Eggplant and build up your knowledge about it? Looking at the people in those regions who use this ingredient a lot already is going to be really helpful to you. They know what they're doing with it!
When you've made those dishes a few times, you're going to get an understanding not only of how to prepare Eggplant for various methods of cooking, and how to cook it for those methods. But you're also going to get an understanding of what flavors pair well with it. And after a while of doing that, you're naturally going to start thinking "what if I do x instead?" and start experimenting on your own. Play with them. Get to know the ingredient on the most foundational level. And yeah, throw some herbs on it if you're comfortable! See what meshes with what flavors. What do you like? And yeah, some of those are going to be flops. But by the time you start thinking "what if" your skills are usually further progressed than you'd think to give yourself credit for. Just ask my Husband, ha!
As for the stuff regarding disability, mental illness, and cognitive function, I gotchu, babe! One of the most distressing things for me when I became disabled, started suffering really bad from cognitive decline, and started dealing with memory loss, was looking at the potential of never being able to cook for myself again. And that scared the piss out of me, because cooking is my joy. And so my Husband and I sat down and prioritized cooking and making it disability friendly for me. Here's some of the stuff we did.
First step: Get your butt a stool that's a comfortable height for your counter height. Once acquired, sit as much as you can in the kitchen. It conserves energy and lets you use more of it to focus your head.
Second: Get yourself all those fun little gadgets you think look interesting or helpful. Personally I have a fruit slicer (that works on more than just apples), a slap chopper microplane thingy, and a few others. Mostly I got these because occasionally my body loses my hands and has no idea where they went and it's safer for me. But I can't tell you how nice they are even when my body knows where my hands are, ha; they speed up prep, keep your fingers safe (usually), and leave more room for the brain to do its thing.
Third: Make as many lists as you can! I have a list on the inside of all my pantry doors of the staples that are in that section. When something needs refilling it allows me to put a mark there so I know to put it on the grocery list. But it also provides a quick reference when my brain's tired; it's so much easier for me to read a list than try and decipher box labels with various colors, font sizes, etc. Make lists wherever you need them and always keep them accessible.
Fourth: The recipe box. Yes. A good, old fashioned, classic recipe box. I have mine filled with tried and true recipes that I know for a fact my Husband and I love, that I know we have at least 90% of the ingredients on hand for at any given moment. So if all else fails and I can't think of anything? I can just go pull something out of the box and have him jot down to the store for anything we don't have.
Fifth: Keep easy meals on stock, because some days you really can't cook. Your brain won't let you, and that's ok! That's fine! But you still gotta eat, right? So we keep stuff like bagged Blackened Chicken Alfredo, Dirty Rice, Mongolian Beef, Jambalaya, Broccoli Beef, Red Beans & Rice, etc, on hand in the outdoor fridge. If at any point I just can't do it? We grab some of those instead.
And the good news is, you can spruce up a quick meal! Making Dirty Rice? Throw in some bread and butter, and a side of boiled Green Beans from the garden. Blackened Chicken Alfredo? Throw some Bell Pepper on in there; you can bulk this stuff up easily with your produce, and it takes even less effort most of the time.
As for the Covid sense of taste / smell? Keep trucking. It does get better; I suffered bad from Post-Covid Parosmia for nearly 2 years after I caught Covid the first time- bad enough to the point I couldn't bathe myself because of the smell of our water being nauseating to me; couldn't eat anything with Corn, or Wheat, or Onion, or Garlic in it for a year, either. the second I tried, my body auto rejected it. Bananas tastes like Iris flowers smelt ... I feel your pain so hard.
But it does get better. Your system is just rewiring itself completely from scratch right now. And Lord, it's so unpleasant. But the more you give it to taste, and smell, the better it does and the faster it rewires itself. Don't force yourself to eat things that are nauseating or unpleasant. But do branch out. Experiment. Even if it tastes left of how you remember it, keep going! I can't promise you'll get everything back (Lord knows there's still some things that aren't quite right for me, even 4 years later now). But it gets better!
I hope any of this helps- even if it's not as helpful if you'd like it to be. Hang in there, love.
My ask box is always open and Anon is currently ON.

So I saw your page and researched abt twin flames and it was a bit confusing to me. How does it work tbh? Because you don't know them irl , so there might be so many differences. No matter how much they put their life on display, at the end of the day only the ones close to them really know how they are as a person. I'm not trying to be mean but I am curious on your take abt this whole thing.
Or is your version or take on twin flames different from the mainstream version?
And if you ever get a chance to date them , who would you choose since you have two?
If you wish to hear of my more personal outtake on twin flames, please feel free to send another 'ask' and I will give you two links to other 'asks' and they have a more longer, detailed account of my own personal experience.
I will give you a general response for now though ~
Twin flames are very romanticized and a lot of what you see on the internet will only be sort of like a guideline.
Even the so called 'phases' people claim you go through is nothing more than that- based on my own personal experiences, so I would have to say it's going to be different with each person.
Birth charts are a factor, but once again, people get way too focused on this and obsessed with it- I always called bs on it, until I looked up ours, years later, and noticed the similarities and the angel numbers that had been following me for years- so you can say that I didn't really follow their 'rules' lol (angel umbers are what you see leading you down the right path. For example when you see them repeatedly, they're trying to tell you something. 222, 7676, 9889. A variation of numbers like that and each one has a different meaning. Once again, people get too obsessed with things like this and they miss their focus entirely. I only have ever paid attention to the ones I see repeatedly. So in general terms, when I see any other number, I take it as a good sign that I am still on the path I need to be. We are human after all, so we do get distracted and it's easy to fall off of the path you are meant to be on. You can see them anywhere at all as well. Receipts, license plates, and etc...)
As for knowing them 'in real life', I used to think the same things, until a few years ago and I can tell you that there's much more to the twin flame aspect than just spirituality.
Spirituality is definitely the 'glue' that holds the entire connection together- but you could think of it as a tree. The tree will have its roots, but there's so much more going on than just what meets the eye.
I can't speak on anyone else's journey, but for me personally, this has affected me mentally, emotionally and even physically.
When you are interconnected with someone- I wasn't entirely sure what that meant, until strange things started to happen to me a few years ago.
Jungkook is obviously my twin as well, but I find I'm more connected to Jimin from an emotional and mental standpoint.
Their show has definitely shown me how exceptionally similar I am with Jungkook- but it's just MORE with Jimin. I can't put it into words, my apologies- but it's just different with him.
Perhaps that's just how it's supposed to be, because there's no way you can possibly share the exact same relationship with everyone you meet, you know? Each one you have will be different in some aspect.
Over the years, I have noticed how I have changed my lifestyle to be exceptionally similar with Jimin's, without even being aware of it. It's something I have done intuitively.
When he's spoken about making changes in his life, I've already grown accustomed to those changes in my own. When he's shared how he's changed his diet and speak about what he's eating, I've already done the same a few days ago. Or even when he's spoken about how much pain he was in from a concert, due to his muscle condition- I've been sore for days and never had any explanation as to why.
You can even become in tune with their thought patterns and such- but this doesn't mean you can 'read their minds' lol, it just means you become adapt to how they think and you can even mirror their insecurities.
So, when you tell me that I don't know them in 'real life', I know you're not trying to be rude like the other's who have come onto my blog, but it goes to show how you have so much more to learn.
Which is okay, because that's what life is all about :)
I know Jimin at least, far better than I know any other person apparently, because when I go back to watch their show- I've missed some little points here or there and I am STILL surprised with how he mirrors me in every single way.
His mannerisms, the way he speaks, how he speaks, how he holds himself and so much more...
It's the true meaning of what twin flames really are and it's something that you need to experience first hand to understand- but even then, I feel like this is a very personal experience and will affect people differently.
As opposed to your last question- I have been conflicted over this for years, because since I have more than one- I am constantly trying to find a balance.
I always felt like choosing one, would be mean and cruel- but that goes back to what I said up above- how there's no way that you can possibly have the same relationship with more than one person.
I love both of them unconditionally, but it was Jimin who 'spoke' to me first and it seems that my path always leads back to Jimin, in some way or another- so it will be Jimin that I choose.
I don't want anything more and nothing less from them though, and I would never push myself onto them in any way.
All I want is to be given the chance to be a part of their lives in some way, shape, or form in a physical sense- and that's for them to decide when they come back.
Jimin has already put out his 'call', with his music, so now all I have to do is just continue down this path and it will eventually lead me to him in whatever way I am meant to be in his life.
After almost a decade of silence from him in the physical world, you have no idea how I felt when I heard this album of his. I was so emotional and I still am when I hear certain songs. I've never been like this with his music, so it tells me that he has finally spoken to me in the way I needed - to quiet every doubt that I had up until now.
I have been relying on my heart and my intuition for years now, so perhaps this is just easier for me to accept- but all I know is that I have never felt more connected to another human being before and I never really much cared for such things.
You'll say it doesn't matter, until it happens to you, haha ^__^

i was also incredibly isolated as a kid (not to the same extent, and now i am an adult and moved out, but i was also homeschooled, heavily [and only really] involved with the church, and i also moved regularly as my dad was in the military)
i’m still working on reconciling the idea that i might have been abused with the knowledge that my parents loved and still love me deeply, and that most of what they did was based in fear for me, or in their own insecurities. and still, i cannot deny the long lasting effects of their “overprotectiveness.”
i don’t know what i’m really trying to say… only that, i’m grateful to see the isolation and confinement acknowledged. that i’m not one person blowing it out of proportion, and that it truly did have the ability to hurt me that much. thank you for giving us that space to recognise that <3
It is very hard to reconcile the idea that your parents both loved you deeply and harmed you on a very deep level at the same time. I think, even if it's based on insecurities, they are responsible for their child's safety, happiness, health, emotional well being and all of the skills to happily live in the world, and if they failed you in all or most of these area, then they failed, insecure or not. The responsibility cannot be on you, you had absolutely no say in any of it. You were the one who was out of experience, who couldn't know what was being done to you, or how badly it would damage you. They were adults, they had time to learn and grow, and if they didn't do that, and ended up putting you in danger, abuse and harm, then that is on them, not you.
I can tell that you love your parents deeply, and that putting any responsibility for your pain on them feels counter-intuitive, ridden with guilt and pain. And that is true for a lot of children of abusive parents, they really know how to make us feel so much compassion, consideration, understanding and love for them, we cannot bear to make them feel guilty or like they've done anything wrong, even when we're drowning in trauma symptoms. But, they never extend the same courtesy to us, do they? When we're drowning in trauma, they have the upper hand to help us, to acknowledge what they did, to admit all of it, to tell us it wasn't our fault, to let us know they're sorry, that they should have known better, that they were in the wrong, that they are responsible for putting us in this state. They have the ability to try and make amends and to put the pressure off of us, to take over that guilt for the things they themselves have caused.
But they never do that, do they? Instead they act incapable of handling what they did, and expect us, the children, to bear all of it, to forgive without being asked forgiveness, to suffer whatever new abuse they have in the store for us.
I mean, I'm assuming a lot here, I don't know if this really is your situation or not. But I do want you to have as much consideration, understanding, kindness and compassion for yourself, as you do for your parents right now. You're struggling, and you deserve to feel like your feelings are important, and to be taken seriously. You deserve to be acknowledged. You deserved to be protected from the evils of both church and military, and it was none of your fault that you were exposed to it. Your parents could have figured it out before giving birth to you, and you've ended up paying for their mistakes, and that is not okay. I am so sorry these people put you thru all of this.
But this doesn't mean you have to do anything, or force yourself to feel anything. If my words feel too painful, you are free to ignore them, and conclude that you know and understand your situation better than I ever will. I hope you take it slow, and that you go easy on yourself, and give yourself time to settle on how you really feel, without any pressure, without feeling like anyone else's feelings matter more than yours in this. I'm glad you came to talk to me about this, and I hope you get more experiences where you get compassion and acknowledgment, because based on what you wrote, I can tell that you did not get a lot of situations where you were allowed to feel like your experience matters. But it does.

How do we know the gods are watching over us? Coming from a Christian background, you're basically taught to take the religion literally, which often leads to disappointment when things don't go your way, but that doesn't seem to be the case with paganism.
Hey, Nonny, thanks for the ask!
Honestly speaking, this is a very complicated question to answer, and I think it varies from person to person. It's something that you have to kind of discover on your own, in my opinion, but I could be reading too deeply into the question.
With that said, having the gods watch over us is much different from Christianity. Oftentimes, in Christianity, God is seen as omnipresent and "always watching". They are seen as knowing all, seeing all, and sometimes even being a part of every living thing. Within paganism, most gods are not depicted this way, so when it comes to the gods watching over us, it's implied that they don't know everything about us and the lives with lives, unless we choose to tell them these things. This, however, varies, as everyone has different experiences with the gods. For some people, the gods are more present, while for others, they are less present. I've met people who have their gods around them, in some form or fashion, nearly constantly, while others only commune with their gods every now and again. It really depends on your personal relationship with the gods.
To answer your question directly, though, Nonny: we simply don't know. There is no way for us to know, for sure, that the gods are looking out for us. That's why faith exists; you have faith in something you can't physically see or interact. Faith exists in every religion, and there is a reason for that. Spirituality is not a perfect science and is often based upon the personal experiences of each individual involved in it. At the end of the day, it is faith the drives us forward within our spirituality. While we may experience things based on intuition or spiritual gifts or whatnot, we have to have faith that yes, Lord Apollon is listening to my prayers or yes, Lord Loki has accepted my offering. We have to have faith that yes, Lord Hermes is with me on this scary drive home or yes, Lady Sigyn is watching over my children's safety while they're at school. Just as the people who formed these ancient religions, we have to have faith that our gods our watching over us. It's a difficult thing to do - having faith - especially in a society that values hard evidence and "proof", but it's still possible. I'm not going to ramble on more about it, though.
Truth be told, Nonny, I don't know everything, and no one can really answer this question with a sure-fire response, but if our faith in the gods helps us be happier, healthier, and more loving to not only ourselves but the world around us, what difference does it make if we know whether or not they are watching over us? If it makes us better people and improves our lives, at the end of the day, I think that's really all that matters.
In my experience, I don't always know that my gods are watching over me, and sometimes that knowledge is crushing. I wish I knew when they are there and when they aren't, but it's just not that simple. I try to remind myself to have faith, and in my lowest moments, I think back on the spiritual experiences I've had with my gods - times they've answered my prayers, times I've felt their presences, times I've received direct messages from them (dreams, divination, etc.). To replenish my faith, I think back on the personal evidence I have that my gods have my back. But these things are different for everyone.
I think part of what makes this question so difficult to answer is the fact that, within Christianity, you usually have an organized system of belief - most people can generally agree on the most basic concepts within the religion, even with varied experiences - but within paganism, experiences are so vastly different from one another that providing any sort of clear-cut answer is nearly impossible (not to mention the fact that "paganism" is a label that groups many different religions and belief systems together - some, of which, may directly oppose one another). There is no preacher or pastor to turn to in order to answer questions like these with certainty and conviction. At most, we have random Tumblr blogs on the internet and obscure religious groups. So, I'm sorry for not being able to give you a straight answer, but I hope this ridiculously convoluted answer will do.
Hope this helped! Have a wonderful day/night, and take good care of yourself! ☺️🧡
If anyone wants to add to this, please feel free!

ATEEZ Seonghwa MBTI Analysis
- ISFJ -
An in-depth analysis of an idol's MBTI type. Based on my opinion and observations, may change later. Not an expert.
Tumblr media
MBTI: ISFJ (Si - Fe - Ti - Ne)
Dom: Si - Introverted Sensing
A perceiving function that relies past experiences and familiarity to process info
Si likes to structure their inner and outer world, hence why Seonghwa likes everything to be clean and organized. Everything has its correct and original place; no need to change it. There was a weekly idol episode where Hwa had to watch ATEEZ clean up their mess and he had the most distraught expression.
In a way, he can be "traditional" and conformative; e.g making sure Wooyoung wouldn't cross the senior/ junior boundary when he was joking with Stray Kids' Changbin. Hwa couldn't even make casual talk with Jessi even though he was allowed to. With Si's sense of traditionalism, it's likely what made him take on a very motherly and caring role for the group. He may be the youngest in his family, but now being the oldest for ATEEZ, he probably felt it made sense to be an older brother for them. After all, older people usually watch and care for younger people.
Also his letter "The Thing called Time" is overwhelmed with Si. The way he mentions his past thoughts and feelings, his experiences and comparing them to the present is very Si. "In the past, I only felt disappointed and upset about the time that has passed, but now I think I'm at an age where I can be grateful to that time and let it go...I don't think we can stop everything from changing. Just like we can't stop the sun from setting. I think the me who used to be afraid of everything changing, is growing into a bright and cool adult thanks to TEEZ and TINY. (Seems like development of inferior Ne. Dominant Si wants things to stay familiar - even mentions his fear of change - but improvement of Ne makes him realize life is constant change and he needs to learn to adapt to it.)
Getting older is heartbreaking, but want to spend my future time more meaningfully while reminiscing about my happy times and I think should do my best in the present. (Balance of Si and Ne here)
Because time doesn't wait for us. If time waits for us, stops for us, they won't be memories, right? So think understand the words that you have to spend your time well. These days, think hope to be more mature, so that someome can lean on my heart and rest.
Have TINYS ever had these kind of concerns too? want to tell you that I'm rooting for you no matter what your concerns are. I'll always be by TINY's side. love you as always. (Last two sections are quite Fe; wanting to be relied on is so Fe)
Aux: Fe - Extroverted Feeling
A judging function that values social harmony in order to achieve a goal
Almost all his choices revolve around others. Learning to cook for the members, cleaning and organizing for them (as well as himself since Si likes routine).
His Si + Fe made him a caretaker of the group. Si + Fe makes him remember even the little things that most people wouldn't think much about, especially since Si tends to be detail oriented (I've also noticed high Si can be a bit sentimental...). E.g being extremely touched by Yunho and Yeosang when they held up him on stage when Hwa injured his rib and even cried about it. Yet it wasn't that big of a deal to Yunho.
He also acted like a counselor when Wooyoung was having his friendship issues with Yeosang and San a couple of years ago. I think the members have said Hwa is the best listener...He genuinely does seem very understanding and considerate, sometimes even asking about members how they're feeling.
 Tert: Ti - Introverted Thinking
A judging function that uses subjective thinking and logic to make the most rational decisions
In all honesty, I don't see him use it much. Although it is tertiary, a neutral spot, so it's likely why I don't really see it.
Inf: Ne Extroverted Intuition
A perceiving function that creates new ideas through connections and patterns in the environment
Seonghwa is a pretty curious person, always excited by new things. He also seems more comfortable showing more of his goofy, silly side lately. He's not as shy as he used to be.

Okay, your ideas are just so fascinating.
First Raven x Willow, and now Summer x Salem.
They're curious ideas, and I would really love to know what inspired you to create fanworks based around these two AU crackpairs?
BHSDFHBJD i'm glad you think it's interesting 😌
i think it comes naturally with the territory of having my particular media interests. OR maybe my brain is just wired in a special way and it's not as natural as i think. i dont knowHBDSFMJ
I MEAN OKAY the most barebones, un-entertaining logistical answer is: as someone who is a big fan of the rwby milfs i necessarily end up with a lot of rarepairs on my hands because the pool of characters i choose from is already chock-full of rares who have minimal or no interactions w each other. but that mostly accounts for my one-off "huh that's neat" posts that i don't really pursue further (certainly not to the point of. umm. how many words is TCaBS now)
the second tier is of course that i just think it's fun. right. it's fun to come up with ways to execute something like that and it's fun to see what other people think of it. it's not always very deep sometimes it's just a fun prompt challenge or experiment. it doesn't take a lot of effort to think of these ideas because this play is very intuitive to me, so a lot of the time i'm just in my little playpen and it produces fanworks that you can also see
the third layer of the answer is the storyteller instinct (lol) and where it really starts burrowing into my brain. that's when there's character to dig into. bc i LOVE doing character stuff and figuring out how 2 weirdos would interact and what would ripple out from that…
Raven/Willow and Summer/Salem are great examples of this to be sure. definitely rarepairs that have STUCK with me and ive gotten INVESTED in making fanworks for. this is because i find their characters complement each other very well and create interesting stories just by simply pairing them together… i've already talked At Great Length (and could easily talk for Another Great Length) about summer and salem's relationship specifically in the context of my art of them, and there's something like it going on with blackswan too--
the type of narrative relationship that they have… raven and willow are sort of mirror characters to each other too. both are absent mothers to the primary characters, who vanished from their positions after being knifed in the back by someone they loved (raven was let down by team strq when she needed them most; willow's husband finally tells her that her entire life is a stageplay farce) - both of them are totally checked out from their family and reclusive - both of them are inclined to drink (overt with willow obviously drinking on screen, more subtle with raven strewing bottles all around her tent) - neither is recognizable to their daughters as the same person they were before breaking, and reuniting with the woman who vanished is still a resolution hanging over us - a great deal of emotional real estate is vested in them despite having relatively scarce screentime, right? they're both very interesting characters in their own right and it made me hop around like a little goblin that RT gave me a pair of mirrors who Do Not Know Each Other's Existence (well, that's not necessarily entirely true; raven might know willow EXISTS on account of roughly knowing the schnee family roster since theyre . kinda famous. but even that would be one way and sort of Conceptual rather than personal lol)
the way they handle their problems is different, as is their overall strategy for engaging with the world. but those differences ultimately highlight their similarities too, and the end product is that its only more interesting to try and imagine how they would function as a pair, sharing so many of the same wounds but coping with them differently. could they condemn each other? are they used to not being condemned? TCaBS is at least partially about willow being the only bitch in the world who looks at raven and goes "no i get it", you know? i'm into that kind of thing--this is ALL OVER the summer/salem fanworks too--and any type of interesting dynamic like that is what really gets me into making works to explore it
i'm using raven/willow as an example here just to demonstrate the line of thinking i had particular to that ship of course. there's a lot of various dynamics in the world that you can easily spin up by picking two or more rwby milfs and pushing them together. it's just one example but that's sort of how my brain works with this stuff in general. i don't really ever think about if the characters have a defined relationship in canon or not. i just think about what would be interesting or complementary… i'm following my heart!!!!!! playing in my playpen!!
this is a long post just to say pretty much it's largely that i operate without thinking about things like "rarepair" or "crackship". i just go "look at my ships boy" and post something ludicrous that still somehow sells people on it. amen

What Are the Elements of Dallas Web Design?
Do you know how every city has its own vibe? Dallas is no different. When you're designing a website for people in Dallas, you've got to tap into that unique energy. It's like blending the city's heartbeat with the latest tech trends.
Imagine walking into a local cafe. You'd want it to feel cozy and familiar yet with a touch of modern flair, right? Websites aren't much different. They need to be user-friendly, look sleek, but also have that Dallas touch. This is what a good web developer in Dallas focuses on! It's not just about pretty colors and cool graphics. It's about making sure every visitor stays on the website longer.
So, starting with web design in Dallas? Dive deep, understand the local pulse, and blend it with top-notch design.
Elements of Dallas Web Design
Here we will discuss Dallas Web Design elements:
Responsive and Mobile-Friendly Design
In today's fast-paced digital world, users are often on the go. They're browsing on their phones during lunch breaks while waiting for coffee or just lounging on their couches at home. So, having a website that performs well on both desktop and mobile devices? That's not just a luxury; it's a necessity.
Adaptable Layouts: Ensure your site's layout adjusts seamlessly across devices, be it a smartphone, tablet, or desktop.
Touch-Friendly Navigation: With most users on mobile, clickable buttons and easy-to-use menus are a must. No one wants to pinch and zoom endlessly.
Optimized Images: It's all about loading quickly while maintaining quality. Mobile users won't wait around for heavy images to load.
A website's responsiveness can make or break a user's experience. And with the expertise of a reliable website design company in Dallas, you can ensure your site's design is both sleek and mobile-optimized.
Visual Aesthetics and Branding
Let's face it: first impressions count. In the digital world, that translates to how your website looks and feels at first glance. The visual appeal is like the window display of a store – it's what draws people in, urging them to discover more.
Consistent Brand Colors: A cohesive color palette doesn't just look good; it tells a story, setting the mood and tone for what the brand represents.
Engaging Graphics: Every website developer in Dallas knows the power of captivating visuals. From infographics to banners, the graphics should speak the brand language.
Typography Choices: The fonts used should align with the brand's identity. Whether it's sleek and modern or warm and inviting, typography can set the tone.
A well-designed website isn't just about looking pretty. It's about conveying the essence of a brand and creating a visual story.
User-Centered Navigation
Navigating a website shouldn't feel like you're lost in a maze. The idea is to get users where they want to go, swiftly and effortlessly. After all, the smoother the journey, the more likely they are to stick around.
Clear Menu Structure: Simplicity is key. Menus should be straightforward, allowing users to find what they're looking for in seconds.
Descriptive Labels: Instead of fancy jargon, use clear terms that everyone can understand. No one wants to play the guessing game.
Strategic CTAs: Whether it's a "Shop Now" or "Learn More," calls to action should be visible and enticing.
With the right web design services in Dallas, creating a user-centered navigation system becomes a breeze. These professionals prioritize the user experience, ensuring every click, scroll, and interaction on the site feels intuitive.
Integration of Local SEO Strategies
In the digital age, having a stellar website is only half the battle. The other half? Making sure locals can find it with ease. Enter the world of Local SEO – optimizing your website so it ranks high when folks nearby search for services you offer.
Geo-Targeted Keywords: By including specific location-based terms, a site can rank higher in local search results. Think 'Dallas bakery' versus just 'bakery.'
Local Business Listings: Getting registered on local directories and ensuring consistent name, address, and phone number across platforms is crucial.
Engaging Content: Providing locally relevant content, like blog posts on Dallas events or guides, can boost local SEO.
Engaging a top-notch web design agency in Dallas is pivotal in this endeavor. Not only will they craft a beautiful site, but they'll also ensure it's optimized for the local audience.

Steins;Gate theorizing 1
Disclaimer: I've only watched the Steins;Gate anime and beat the Steins;Gate visual novel: I have not seen or beat Steins;Gate 0, these are just my current theorizations. I don't want to know even a glimpse if I'm on the right track or if Steins;Gate 0 mentions it. Also, obvious spoiler warnings. I think a lot of people view Steins;Gate based only on what Okabe sees throughout, that what happened was a one off thing and nothing happened 'before' the Okabe we know started. This to me doesn't seem right, even if they're never explicitly shown. To me it's not a 'self determining loop' but a self-consistent loop based on the effects of convergent. However, to *get* in that loop so as to perturb to a worldline that puts him in control was shifted from some past worldline where he wasn't. First, some of the theory of its model. Its repeatedly emphasized that there are not 'parallel worlds'. There are parallel possibilities, that are acted on by attractor fields. When Okabe transfers world-lines, he keeps a continuation of memories from that world-line as do others, even when they've reset to the 'old' world-line. This implies there is in some sense a clear 'order' of influence in worldline based on order of time travel. First of all, everything is too coincidental and set up. How do you accidentally make a time machine and not know how you did it? The lifter from the CRT in Braun's workshop, itself guaranteed by Suzuha owning the building? Having the message set up as Daru is working on it, Mayuri opening the microwave as they are experimenting? Not to mention the 'SERN line' to the LHC. The meet up with Kurisu. Okarin comes up with the crucial points of discovery, driven by his 'mad scientist intuition' but its almost like something telling him to do something. Second, the phone he lifts to his ear, talking to someone, communicating. Third, when outside with Mayuri, we know Okabe got sick 10 years ago with a vertigo effect similar to his Reading Steiner. Fourth, his personality. Kurisu mentions implanting memories in his too far back or with the wrong person can cause serious personality disorders. All this points to one fact, that *before* any of Steins;Gate, Okabe from the future as then a terrorist Okabe Rintaro rebelling against SERN send some select form of his memories from the future to guide him, whilst deluding himself and making him none the wiser. Okabe psychologically in dealing with this forms 'Hououin Kyouma' who I likely think is a reference to some character. He in the future realizes physical time travel from that world-line won't change things but if he can perturb his memories so as to warp into a still self consistent loop that now places him as the center of time travel creation, then from that self consistent place can now properly unwind it in a self consistent way. Its my guess when talking on the phone, he himself is sharing information on the status of the conditions to figure out how to arrange them and perhaps refine a plan to dealing with SERN through these people he meets for his master plan. To perfect this arrangement, its very likely he'd had to gone through multiple time loops. There is the issue Okabe's time machine in this worldline could only go one way. But it may be possible by repeatedly sending new D-Mails attempting things in that moment Okabe is 'sick', then receiving information from future, that he gets info back essentially instantaneously on all accounts and all attempts on 'memory convey' is given in that moment. Regardless, I think the mechanics of this exact is not as important as this broader idea.

On creating a wiki for your worldbuilding
Do you have a lot of lore to keep track of? Whether you're an author, a Game Master, or simply someone who really really likes worldbuilding, this post is for you.
Here's a quick overview of what I'll be talking about:
Platforms people use to create personal wikis
Formats and organization systems you may find useful when creating your own wiki
A brief look at the actual content you might put in your wiki (I'm planning a more in-depth post on that later with more images and demos)
And because this is gonna be a long'un, I'm putting a read-more here! I'll also make downloadable epub and PDF versions of this post available for free on my Ko-Fi at some point in the future.
(I'm also planning to reblog with a list of links later on, but I want this initial post shows up in search)
Also now that you're here, I'm going to say this isn't, like, super comprehensive or anything. I'm just talking about stuff I know a little about or have experience with. Please feel free to reblog with additions and/or corrections as needed!
What is a wiki?
According to Wikipedia, "a wiki is a hypertext publication collaboratively edited and managed by its own audience, using a web browser."
In this case, you'll likely be the sole person making updates to your wiki. The web browser part is optional these days as well, as you'll soon see.
Platforms for creating wikis
Websites for creating worldbuilding wikis
WorldAnvil
This one is actually designed for people who want to create big worldbuilding wikis.
Pros: Worldbuilding prompts! Those are great. It's got a pretty comprehensive set of article types too.
Cons: Kind of expensive to upgrade for features like making your wiki private, and it does NOT work well with adblock turned on, so if you don't want to pay for a membership you'll get inundated with ads. I'm not a huge fan of the interface in general and a lot of it isn't intuitive, but I like what they're doing so I support them anyway.
---
Tiddlywiki/Tiddlyhost.com.
In addition to having a cat as its icon and also a silly name, each 'article' you create with this is called a 'tiddler' which makes me think of Chuck Tingle. I haven't used it much myself yet, but I did make an account and it seems pretty neat.
---
Miraheze
A community-hosted wiki platform that runs on MediaWiki (which is what Wikipedia runs off of).
Pros: It's not Fandom.com.
Cons: You have to request a wiki and can't just make it yourself, as far as I can tell. I haven't actually looked into this one as much.
---
Neocities
An option for if you want to go super oldschool and create a website using only basic html and hyperlinks (without the handy shortcuts of bbcode or Markdown). Monthly cost is $5 usd if you want to have more space and your own domain.
Pros: 100% control over your content.
Cons: Doesn't support PHP databases for wiki software, and can be fairly labour-intensive to update if you break a link or something.
---
Fandom.com
Unfortunately, this one is the top result you'll get when you look up how to make your own wiki. I'm only including it here to tell you to stay as far away from it as possible!!
Its staff are known to ban wiki creators from their own wikis and a bunch of other nonsense that I'm not getting into here.
Programs and apps/web apps for creating worldbuilding wikis
Obsidian.md
My personal favourite. I'm planning to make a whole post about how I use it in the near future as part of this article series.
It's a markdown-based application that you can get on just about any platform (Windows, MacOS, Linux, iOS, Android, etc) which is great. Obsidian is really easy to pick up and use and also has great themes and community plugins!
Best thing is, it's FREE and you only have to pay if you use their publishing service, which... I don't, so.
---
Notion
I've heard this one is pretty good too. Idk if it costs anything. It's another "second brain" style app (might be markdown also?) and I think it might do more than Obsidian, but I haven't checked it out much myself.
---
Microsoft Word/Google Docs etc.
...Or just about any word processor that lets you create internal hyperlinks. Word may work best due to the collapsible headings so it doesn't get too unwieldy, but *shrug* whatever floats your boat.
---
Excel/Google Sheets etc.
Or, again, any spreadsheet creator that lets you create internal hyperlinks.
I'd recommend having some basic spreadsheet knowledge before doing this. It could get complicated. Before I started using Obsidian, I was using Sheets to keep track of my glossary, notes about characters, and plot ideas.
Types of formatting & organization systems
There are as many organization systems as there are people who want to organize their stuff. Everybody needs something a little different! I find the ones that work best for me are systems that have a lot of customization options.
Here are a couple I know of.
Johnny Decimal
This system is absurdly simple in its concept and yet so versatile. From their website (it's just johnnydecimal dot com but I'll link it in a reblog later):
Take everything you need to organise and sort it in to, at most, ten large buckets.
Make sure the buckets are unambiguously different.
Put a label on each bucket.
Their website has a better explanation than I can give in this post, but I'll sum up the appeal of this system as quoted from their site: "There's only one place anything can ever be."
Usefully, part of this method is creating a directory for the rest of the system.
So if you're like me and tend to shove things wherever only to lose track of it later, this is a great system—especially when used in conjunction with the Zettelkasten Method (see below).
---
Zettelkasten Method
Originally devised as an extensive paper-based knowledge management system, Zettelkasten is meant to easily add new entries to a knowledge base while giving each one a unique ID for easy 'linking.'
The creator of this method said 'it is not important where you place the note, as long as you can link to it.'
As with the Johnny Decimal system, I can't explain it super succinctly (nor can the website, if I'm being honest), so I'll include a link in a future reblog for a video that gave me an excellent run-down of the basics.
Setting up your own system
An organization system is only useful if you can actually, y'know, use it.
It can be fun to set up a super-detailed organization system with predetermined categories for everything, but is it easy for you to use? How will you navigate it?
Making decisions
There will be a lot of decisions to make as you set up your system. The only set-in-stone rule I follow is... don't set anything in stone. It's okay if you decide something that doesn't work later on.
Figuring out your categories
My advice: go fairly broad. You can always sub-categorize. I'm going to go over my own wikis for Athenaeum and Rocket Boosters in detail in a later post, but here are the starting top-level categories I'd recommend for worldbuilders:
A meta category for notes about your database, templates, and any relevant research you've done.
Characters, including main characters, minor characters, and important figures
Worldbuilding
In the last category, which is the main reason for the existence of my wiki, I might have:
Culture
History
Locations
Organizations
Lore (if relevant)
Technology
Transportation
I'll go over the nuances of these 'main' subcategories in that future post I mentioned. In other words, the stuff that actually goes in those categories!
Determining the importance and relevance of worldbuilding elements
You'll need to figure out whether a topic is complex enough to deserve its own entry, or if it should be a sub-heading under another entry. It's okay if you decide on both! I have short subheadings under some entries that amount to "see [link to main entry on that topic]."
I've also decided to expand subheadings into their own topics, and I've removed topics as their own entry and shoved them under subheadings. I do this a lot, in fact! So it's okay if you don't know.
Templates
Will you be creating several of one type of entry?
Individual character profiles
Towns and cities
Factions
(to name a few)
It might be handy to figure out the basic types of information you'll need about each of those things and create a template for them.
A character template might have spaces for the basics, such as name, role, age, and so on.
Some characters will have a lot more information, and some might have even less than what your template dictates! And that's fine.
A word of warning about using system-creation as procrastination
Creating a wiki can be a daunting task. You might decide it's not for you, and that's okay. But you might also decide to go headlong into the process and work on every minute detail, and that is also okay, but.
But.
Beware of using your wiki as an excuse to procrastinate your actual writing/session preparation. Yes, use it to keep track of all the lore you've injected into your manuscript/campaign/whatever, just make sure it stays in its place as a companion to your main project rather than becoming your main project.
How formal should your entries be?
Honestly this one's entirely up to you. I have a mix. Some entries are written like Wikipedia entries with a thorough explanation of the topic with proper punctuation and formatting, while others are simply bullet-point lists of thoughts and ideas that I can return to at a later date.
What methods do you use to keep track of your lore and worldbuilding? Let me know in a reblog or comment!
And please make sure to check the notes. I'll be reblogging with links, and then reblogging that reblog to make sure they're, y'know, actually visible in the notes.

I agree that Rindou is an ESTP based on his cognitive functions too!
To make things clear, I think Ran falls under XXFP but my personal opinion is ESFP. I do think he's a se dominant user. Although he loves to sleep, that doesn't mean he's an introvert per se. To me, he just likes to chill. Lol
He's quite concrete (as supposed to abstract which would make him more of an intuitive but I think he's a sensor), pragmatic and initiating with people. Tries to be poetic but comes across as an airhead a bit. Even though he's pragmatic he's quite expressive with his emotions, aesthetic, and individuality (separate uniforms for him and brother), very charismatic.
He's moody as we've seen his reaction when Rin was having a party at 4pm with his friends and his beauty sleep was interrupted. And Rindou hiding in the bathroom suggests this isn't the first time he's witnessed Ran have an outburst. Only an offering of his favorite dessert can change his mood. That's very FP behavior.
Also one of the biggest indicators for me that he's an ESFP is that his special skill is presenting himself in a good light. Meaning he's great at making a first good impression. That tells me hes a natural at social manipulation and shows you what you want to see from him whether it's true or not. He also wishes he was a celebrity. ESFP are natural performers and enjoy being in the spotlight, they like attention and thrive on it. Given the fact the he outshines Rindou in the delinquent world proves it in my opinion. Rindou being annoyed by it and doing his own little show with the splits and martial arts positions proves he's also an se dom wanting some attention on him too.
Ran is laid back, maybe even a bit lazy. But still quite vain in his appearance and interests. The man likes luxury and status. Not saying that's a bad thing but that's classic ESFP without being too stereotypical. His clothes are very flashy. Whether it's dark or colorful, it catches your eye and demands your attention.
He also seems that he doesn't think about the consequences of his actions until after it's done. Along with his brother, they accidentally killed a guy which landed them in juvie. Both of them being se users couldn't stop and think about possibly going too far in injuring that guy. Se users are the types to act first and ask questions later. Sure he's a bit more cautious than Rindou but i think that's due to Ran being more experienced and mature compared to Rindou. That's a nurture thing compared to nature. His nature is quite impulsive. Also the fact that they both have massive tattoos covering half their bodies as teenagers is quite risky and "consequences be damned" behavior.
Their home is very messy and catered to socializing. Pizza boxes, open potato chips, trash, and alcohol all over the kitchen. I don't think that's only just Rindou's mess. If Ran was an TJ user, he wouldn't have any of it and allow that sort of mess in his personal space. Naoto, Kisaki, and Sanzu are TJs and they're very organized and clean people.
Please let me know what you think!
Ran’s definitely a sensor. To me he seems like a sensor who took the 16p test and got mistyped as an intuitive, so after reading his result description, he started trying to act more like one lmao
I can’t quite see Ran as a Se-dom, especially when comparing him to Rindou. Now this might just be me falling into the trap of stereotypes but I keep thinking about Chapter 128, where he hits Mitsuya in the head. Both Rindou and Mocchi were miffed when Ran suddenly comes in and incapacitates Mitsuya because he ruined their “fun”. I see that as one of the main differences between Rindou and Ran: Rindou enjoys the experience of fighting and everything that comes with it. (Exerting himself, doing splits, hearing his enemies scream in pain, probably feeling and hearing their bones snap... all that good stuff.) He just really enjoys tormenting them before taking them down for good. Meanwhile, Ran likes to take his enemies down instantly.
Tumblr media
I just think the act of fighting doesn’t matter as much to him as it does to Rindou.
Having a distinct style, wanting attention, and moodiness are traits that make me think of Fi, which would be the ESFP’s auxiliary function, so I see your point there. However, ISTJs also use Fi. It’s just that it’s their tertiary function.
I associate charisma more with the FJ-types (Fe users). I don’t think Ran is an FJ-type either. Any type can be charismatic though. It might just come more naturally to certain types than others.
As for the Battle of the Ashes incident, I’m not exactly sure why but I’ve always thought Ran was really aiming to kill (or at least almost-kill) the vice captain. I see your point about that and the tattoo too. Impulsiveness/spontaneity are part of the Se-dom’s brand.
If you’re interested in why I think Ran’s an ISTJ, it’s all under the cut:
Disclaimer: You see, I think I understand cognitive functions. But when it comes to how they behave in certain stack positions, my knowledge is limited. I’m also not trying to say that I’m right, because we really only have crumbs of Ran. He doesn’t appear enough, AND I’m pretty sure there’s so much stuff that gets lost in translation. I don’t think anyone can make a 100% sure typing of him right now.
ISTJ (Si-Te-Fi-Ne)
Ran has been shown to reference past events/experiences/impressions when making judgements and coming up with plans.
Tumblr media
We know that the Haitanis spectated the Bloody Halloween fight. Ran has seen how strong Toman is, so he sees playing dirty as the key to winning against them.
I know there’s an ISTJ stereotype of them being rigid rule-abiders. I think these “rules” are not always the rules of their society/community. These can also be rules they lay out for themselves. It depends on what they value.
Another time we see this is when South tells Ran that he wants to recruit Kakucho into Rokuhara Tandai.
Tumblr media
Once again, he refers to a past event to judge whether Kakucho would join South or not. And he seems really sure about it.
Even when he says his farewells to Izana and Kakucho (I know y’all love to laugh and clown him over this part lol), he seems to fondly reminisce about the lives they lived.
Tumblr media
I recall seeing a different translation of this part that goes similar to this but also has him saying, “I will hold onto it dearly.”? Yeah, that translation fits Si too.
He has shown a tendency to stick to routine and “tried and tested” things
According to this translation, Ran has one specific day of the week in which he goes to the salon.
He’s also a regular at this salon.
After getting his hair done, he always seems to enjoy the feeling of having a new hairstyle and having it blow in the wind? The way he talks about this “I like the moment when ____” also implies that it’s part of a “tradition” for him.
This is more of an assumption, but I’m also looking at how he doesn’t like to stay up late. That implies he has a set time for when he should already be in bed.
Sticking to “tried and tested” includes: not going into a fight without a trick or plan, or without being sure that he and Rindou would win. (Si-Te, inferior Ne)
Notice how they do their teamfights. Rindou is often the first to attack. Once the enemy is off their guard, that’s when Ran attacks. He doesn’t normally fight anyone head-on.
Ran’s Si vs. Rindou’s Se: Se acts, Si collects information from surroundings. The way I see their coordinated fighting style, Rindou is more of the actor, and Ran’s more of the observer so that he’s the one to warn Rindou if he notices that something’s off.
When not in a teamfight, Ran goes for one-hit takedowns. For me, the reason why he injures so gravely is because because he wants a fight to end immediately. I see it as him wanting to ensure that his enemy can never get back up and be an inconvenience again so he can proceed to the next person and take down more people.
The only time we see him get seriously mad was when his ambush plan vs. Mitsuya and Hakkai didn’t go as planned. When Hakkai woke up, the plan was ruined. He probably was already afraid they might lose.
If Te-user, why messy?
IXTJs have Te in auxiliary, so it’s not their go-to. The way I understand it, applying your auxiliary to a situation requires conscious effort. Therefore, I think IxTJs are more selective of where and when they use their Te. This is why the Haitani house being messy doesn’t automatically mean Ran can’t be a TJ. From the looks of it, his room is actually pretty neat. If he spends most of his time in that space anyway (sleeping), then I don’t think he would care much about what goes on outside of it.
Ran prefers to use his Te in gang matters, for example. Ran is a planner. He’s considered one of Tenjiku’s brains. He favors planned attacks. He always makes sure that the situations he's in are a "sure win". He cares about getting results and not much how to get there.
Tumblr media
Tertiary Fi (I’m aware some of these might be reaches + like I said my knowledge on function stacks is limited):
Why does Ran respect Izana so much? Because of the similarities of their situations--being big brothers to Rindou and Kakucho (Source) (Though I know this was translated via Google Translate so this might mean something else lmao. This is from CB3 though and I was wondering why people weren’t talking about it???)
Not wanting/needing to have a gang (before meeting Izana, whom he shares common ground with)
Because Fi is in the tertiary position, it behaves more child-like. So on his bad mood days, his anger is unregulated, therefore explosive.
He’s particular about his aesthetics and self-expression = Tertiary Fi wanting to stand out and tell people who they really are.
So, that’s it. That’s why I think Ran is an ISTJ, and when paired with 8w9, it sounds a lot like him. Fits in with wanting power as well.

ok I guess my last post was a lie I'm writing it now. syd autism + sales ramblings ahead. so like obviously we are all in agreement about syd having autism but I need to talk more about how that plays into his job as a salesperson bcus its just like something I have too many thoughts on. sorry if te readmore doesn't work in on mobile!!
for background ive actually been in sales myself for over 5 years and experienced several wildly different approaches to training, strategies, type of sales etc bouncing between.. hmm 4 different companies now that were exclusively sales.
SO it's obvious that syd is good at reading people but ONLY in specific contexts where it's clearly like, learned and not something that's intuitive. it's 100% masking and totally the kind of thing that comes in sales training where they teach you the DETAILS of communication because that's where a lot of the psychology of the sale goes down. so not just the scripting (which is obviously helpful itself and obviously something they use a ton of at lucas) but the little things in both reading people and getting them to do what you want. I imagine at lucas a lot of this is based on body language and microexpressions and shit like that which I don't have experience with as an inside salesperson but like to get into how insanely detail oriented it can get from some of my training it was like obsessive detailing over when and how to use uptones and downtones and what the purpose of each was. & having your trainer listening to you practice and marking down which tone you used at the end of each sentence to make sure every single time you got it right and also understood WHY it mattered. & every single time you ask for something you put the WHY before the WHAT so "because our team runs a background check on each client I need the last 4 digits of the social" and it was also assertive language so I NEED not CAN I HAVE and it was also trying to distance sensitive information from the client so THE social not YOUR social. THE card not YOUR card. I can go on and on it was literally like every word out of your mouth was chosen so specifically with an exact purpose and so was HOW you said it and then you also had people teaching you things like ok you know what a downtone sounds like if you hear it from a client giving an objection this is what that means. if someone says this what they really mean is this. no matter what they throw at you here is an exact answer.
so like if you're an autist who had been manually learning how to read people & how co communicate because you just don't instinctively know these things all of this is GREAT it's like Advanced Masking Lessons. and then this makes you better at pitching than all your peers because you're USED to having to think out every detail of your conversations in everyday life when they're not. so to finally bring this back to syd same thing applies. he KNOWS how to read his clients and tailor what he's saying to the specific person. he gets Edward down completely he knows he's not "someone who's interest is merely passing" he KNOWS what he wants and how to sell him. & he's able to modify the pitch for vera and take more of a "you want what aria has" approach. yes his technique probably didn't matter much on that one because she was just there to run bugs but my point still stands. yes from a doylist perspective of course he's the one demonstrating the readiface at the investor meeting because he's the protagonist but either way that implies in universe that he's there because he's the best with the machine. he's the most tuned into the details of the face because he HAS to tune in because it doesn't come easy to him like it does everyone else. clearly he's a star employee because lucas comes to him like tell me if you hear anything about the missing machine and sends HIM to replace derek on the house call. anyways that's it for now mayhaps this is all just me projecting but even so I'm still right.

As I pat my team captain on the back, I notice his expression suddenly turns grim. "What is wrong, Logan?" I ask as the two of us move away from our teammates.
"I smell a fire, Kurt," Wolverine whispers. "A big one "
"The wind is coming in from the west." I note. "There's a U.S. Forest preserve over that way. Do you think it could be a forest fire?"
My friend shakes his head. "No, I smell traces of gasoline fumes, burning rubber, insulation, phosphorous…"
"Phosphorous? You mean like a bomb?"
I look towards the X-Men leader, but Storm is speaking intently with Magneto as he herds the youngsters back inside to attend their studies. I signal Rogue to come over to Wolverine and I.
"What can ah do for you gentlemen?" The young woman asks in her melifluous southern drawl.
"Rogue, I want you to fly over the lake and see if you can spot smoke," Wolverine says.
"All right." She replies, looking at me, puzzled.
I hold her back for a moment, "Just look, Lieb-chen," I say, "Don't get close. The fumes could be dangerous."
"Ah'll be real careful, Shugah." Rogue replies teasingly. She runs a gloved finger up the blue fur along my arm and flashes me one of her dazzling smiles before she starts upwards.
A touch of sadness creeps over me as I watch her fade Into a speck in the sky. Rogue can be a charming flirt, and is quite attractive, but I know it is only her defense against the loneliness that her mutant powers forces upon her. I can't imagine what it would be like to be cursed with her power, to have to avoid touching all human flesh. If she does touch someone, she steals that person's spirit for a time and causes them to lose consciousness. Rogue originally came to the X-Men for help with this precise problem, but so far, no one has been able to discover a way to permanently control the automatic transfer.
"I used to feel sorry for myself," I tell Wolverine. "Because I look so different. But I can not think of any problem worse than Rogue's. At a time in her life when she should be exploring intimacy, she dares not to."
Wolverine shrugs. "She's probably better off than the rest of us."
I eye Wolverine critically. I've seen him heartbroken on many occasions, and yet he hasn't given up on love. I know that beneath his gruff exterior is a man whose soul aches for the true union of body and spirit with another.
"Surely you do not mean that." I whisper quietly.
"Maybe not," He says, watching Rogue land lightly on the balls of her feet like an acrobat, her face flushed with the exhilaration of flying. She is not jaded by this power, even though she uses it constantly.
"The fire's on Obar Island," She announces. "Billowin' clouds o' black stuff. Y'all don't think the sparks could spread the fire over all that water,do ya?"
"Probably not." Wolverine replies.
"Obar Island," I muse. "Isn't there some sort of military base there?"
"Last time I flew over there, about a month ago," Rogue reports. "They were jus' puttin' up some buildin's and postin' it with some real unfriendly signs–all about prosecutin' trespassers and stuff like that."
"Sounds like the army, alright," Wolverine mutters.
Just to be sure, the three of us troop into the school kitchen to use the telephone. I listen as Wolverine reports the fire to the local authorities. He speaks to someone on the other end of the line for a moment, then says, "I see. Okay."
"What did they say?" I ask.
"The situation is under control." Wolverine answers.
"Good."
"Not really," he replies. "'cause they're lyin'."
"How do you know?" Rogue asks.
"I just do."
I've had enough experience with Wolverine's intuition before. He's not often wrong. I'd be willing to bet he is right now, too. "But why would they lie?" I ask.
"Maybe there's some sort of poisonous gas out there, an' they don't want t' panic the populace." Rogue guesses.
"You've got a vivid imagination, Kid." Wolverine states. "But I don't smell any poison. More likely, the army just doesn't wanna breach security on the island. They'd rather let it burn into the water than bring in outsiders."
I shake my head. Wolverine once worked for the military, and he accepts such things matter-of-factly, but I am still appalled by such a destructive, secretive mentality. "Well?" I ask. "Should we consult with our fearless leader on this one?"
"Ah'll go find her," Rogue offers, and she hurries off to fetch Storm.

Neil Abraham Josten‘s Birth Chart Analysis
Neil is a never endingly entertaining character, to read about and analysis. As a self proclaimed astrologer I've taken up the task of reading some of Neil's birth charts to better understand our beautiful Junkie. This might seem like a waste of time to most people, including myself, but I have no life and I need divination intuition practice.
*Note: the information we were given about Neil’s birthday is he was born January 19, 1988 in either Alexandria, Virginia or Baltimore, Maryland. We do not know his time of birth so I can’t tell you his rising (If I had to guess: Aries?) or houses. I just go over his big 6 in this post. Nora if you see this… what time was Neil born?
Sun: Capricorn
Your sun sign is considered your core self, that’s why everyone knows their sun sign (and because it’s the easiest to calculate). Fundamentally Capricorn suns are defined by their need for structure. They are people who are very skilled and ambitious and focused on this material plain. For Neil this manifests as his fixation on Exy. When Capricorns want to be good at something they will stop at nothing to achieve this goal to the point of self destruction. Capricorn is ruled by Saturn, planet of fortune, which basically means Capricorns are almost destined to go through some sort of great misfortune, normally involving money in some way. Neil's money problems are deadlier than most but it's classic with this sign. Similar to how your Moon sign represents your relationship with your mother, your sun represents your father. Fun fact about the deity Saturn or Kronos: He ate his children. Need I say more? Capricorn and daddy issues are basically synonyms. Capricorn's aren't necessarily social, mostly because their trauma leads them to avoiding people to protect themselves. They put their goals ahead of all else, including love and connection. Neil rather talks about Exy then sexuality. Some say this make’s capricorns boring but these people clearly have never met a capricorn. Capricorns might be rough around the edges, but in my experience they are great friends, even if they don’t realize it.
Moon: Aquarius
OH THE MOMMY ISSUES!!! So your moon represents your emotional self and your relationship with your mother... and Aquarius is ruled by Uranus or Ouranos in Greek myth. You thought Saturn/Kronos eating his kids was bad? URANUS SHOVED HIS CHILDREN BACK INTO HIS WIFES WOMB!!! I see this play out in how mother was highly disattached from him, leading him to respond to emotional situations in a disattached and uninteresting way. This is shown in how he grieves for Seth. Contrary to popular belief, Aquarius is an air sign, meaning they have the characteristic Air sign aversion to feeling feelings. They prefer to logic their way through situations and to use their coping mechanism to deal. Yes they have emotions but they don’t like to share them (‘iM FiNe”). In contrast with Neil's Capricorn sun Aquarius moon needs to be able to communicate. Not about feelings but about what they do like talking about what they enjoy. This leads to a personality that craves human connection but doesn't know how to ask for it. Aquarius moon people also don't really give a shit about labels. It's all semantics for them. Now here is my unpopular opinion: Aquarius placements are sarcastic and temperamental. I know I said they don’t really like to share their emotions, but I feel Anger in aquarius is a natural consequence of not sharing their emotions. TL;DR Aqaurius placements we know you use sarcasm to mask your feelings. Talk about it.
Mercury: Aquarius
So your Mercury is how you communicate with the world and your logical mind. again Aquarius is a logical air sign. These people are natural intelligence. Yes this does explain why Neil is good at math. He doesn't necessarily have to study to understand things as much as he can just get things from intuition. This explains his playstyle being largely intuitive and hard to explain how he knows things. Mercury in Aquarius people are active protagonists in their lives and do things to change the things in their lives (see him bringing together the team) as the humanitarians of the zodiac it comes naturally. Also going back to his capricorn sun mixed with his Aquarius in mercury means he physically cannot not talk about Exy and opening up about feeling’s is actually painful.
Venus: Pisces
BOTTOM!!! No but seriously, Your Venus is how you relate to people, the things you value, and your romantic endeavors. Pisces is something else really. Pisces is the last sign of the zodiac giving them a spiritual, almost not their quality.  They don't like large groups typically prefer smaller social gatherings. When a Venus in Pisces love you they don't have boundary (you literally can't make this shit up it's literally the astrological embodiment of "It's always yes with you") they love you wholeheartedly and when it's just the two of you it's just two souls alone in an endless universe. If this sounds like an Andriel kiss scene then good because that's the vibe Pisces energy just gives off when they're MAKING YOUR DAMN HEART MELT WHAT THE HELL!!! So like most water signs THE SAVIOR COMPLEX IS REAL WITH THIS ONE!!! Neil values sacrifice and he rather be hurt then let someone else get hurt (*cough* running away to Evermore for Andrew *cough*). Pieces  will see you as your best self and likes to imagine you as your best self (Kevin and Neil both want Andrew to achieve his full potential in Exy). Venus really likes it in Pisces so pisces people are wholehearted in how they love. Basically they will love you with their entire soul and it will feel like a real life pipe dream. The only thing that can shatter this is when the other person tries to sabotage themself and their highest potential. Pisces wants the best for everyone and it hurts them to see other people not reach their fullest self. This is why that scene in TKM where Neil felt really hurt after Andrew didn't want to celebrate after winning the game and belittled Exy ment to much. More mushy gushy stuff, they believe in true love. They don't need to talk in order to feel that love. They rather just feel your souls connect on a higher level.
Mars: Sagittarius
So your Mars is akin to your Id. It's base animalistic desires. The things that make you tick. Sagittarius being the mutable fire sign is more mellow than your leos or aries. Sagittarius likes experiences. They tend to travel a lot and enjoy travel and experiencing new things. This sign is known for having commitment issues (being ruled by Jupiter) and likes to run from shit. This placement hates people who don't practice what they preach and hates to feel like they're being talked down to. They really want to try new things with you, be it traveling to new places or trying stuff out in the bedroom. Speaking of which… I mean they will try anything once. Definitely adrenaline junkies. The sign most likely to be down for a threesome. Also associated with the hips and thighs so definitely an ass man
Damn that's really where i'm ending it. Here's his chart if you're curious...K bye
