I have returned to watching demon slayer after a year and it came up while I was having a serious late night talk with my big sister. I was talking about the relationship between Michikatsu/Kokushibo and Yoriichi and it turns out we both see each other in Yoriichi's shoes and ourselves in Michikatsu's place. Definitely surprising, but really relieving to know that we both worry too much and we are not so far apart in skill as we believe.

This is technically the first piece of fanart I've ever made for the characters in Demon Slayer, I have made OCs before but I never drew an actual character from the story. For context this is mostly just a fun "what if" scenario with them meeting in the afterlife. I like to think Yoriichi's love would reawaken Michikatsu's humanity.

so the other day i was playing Animal Crossing wondering how i could best do a traditional Western Irish outfit for my OC and fell down a rabbit hole of historical fashion on youtube and ended up thinking "Wait i could just draw her instead of trying to clumsily recreate this in ACNH 🤔" SO I DID. (kudos to me for drawing instead of playing)(and kudos to fashion history nerds on youtube i love you ��🏻)

AND I'M SO HAPPY I DID. i'm in love with my drawing. i created her in like 2002 or something and it's the first time ever i'm happy with how her face turned out 🥹

as for her outfit, i took inspiration in several sources. i think i read/heard somewhere red skirts would traditionally be for married women, but it's such a pretty colour i put it on her shawl. also i did not go as far as to draw patterns on her clothes because it's waaay out of my league haha.

I was watching ducks at the local park with a friend. A guy was fishing off the dock and his pole blew into the water. He was hanging from the railing to grab the pole with his feet, but it was so windy and he just slid down the railing. He was up to his waist in deep water, and who knows if he could swim?

I called out and ran over. It was pretty simple: hand the rod up to me, then help move him over until he could get his feet onto the concrete piling, then a little heave-ho and up he came. I'm glad I keep an emergency towel in my car, because it was cold and windy.

Anyway that was eventful. Idk how to sum this up. Advocate for third spaces, watch out for each other, and always know where your towel is.

recently got a super kind anon ask that wanted to see all the maps ive collected of nordsea over the years, and im like not proud of them but i do love how those islands actually looked sooo this is that! Idk how to make the map look good, its never been something i cared about and you can def see that so im sorry🫢 but yea this is sadly all the ones i could find.. its not a lot and im surprised i didnt save more of them?? but hope this is still kinda fun to look at😌

i’ve mentioned it before but i own two switches! i was too broke to get a regular switch back in 2020 so i got a switch lite and then saved up to get a regular one a year later! i knew pretty early on that i loved the decorating part of acnh and was always very focused on that, however.. i also listened a lot to all the older players who said that part of the fun is the “forever-town” and so i decided that i also wanted that… even tho i didnt treat nordsea as a forever-the-same type island since i just like redoing it too much! so i’ve had over 10 versions by now lol.. i like challenges and themes and all that after all💛

first map is the oldest one i have, u can see my starters lol! second one is the first ever finished version of nordsea, and the last one is the last 1.0 version that i really loved!

first map is the first version i did after 2.0 it was an autumn town, second one is from the winter version of nordsea and the last one is the one the da is set to right now👀(spring version from this season 2023)

looking at these makes me think.. i would never pick a map with two southfacing rivers anymore and would also not pick nordsea’s airport location since its close enough to res services that you can see it when you step onto the island! which can be hard to work with! but you know i’ve still managed to make it work in a way i liked over and over again?!! i like the challenge and i still like the idea of the forever island! this ask actually helped me make an interesting decision about nordsea that ive been thinking about for a while now.. but tysm for all the love for my little island over the years!!! i appreciate it so much!💛💛💛
