10 Ways I Soothe Anxiety
Hello. I have anxiety.
I have anxiety, but I have also managed to somehow keep a pretty good life for myself through it all. Getting out of bed when you have a paralysing fear of the world is not an easy task, but there are a few things I have found that make it that little bit easier, life that little bit smoother. And because we certainly don't gatekeep here, I thought I'd share the ten main ways I soothe anxiety. Basically, ten things I do to switch off and remove myself from my brain.
1. Turn your phone off.
An obvious one, but probably one of the most important. It's insane how clogged a person's brain will get when they spend their day glued to a phone screen. For me, it's not even just social media that sets me off, though that is a massive trigger for me and many other people; it's the phone in general. I could be playing Angry Birds for twenty-four hours and still finish the day feeling gross and anxious and guilty. The screen itself just makes me feel groggy, which in turn leaves me feeling anxious by the time I'm getting into bed that night. There are some days I will wake up, and just turn my phone off completely - usually days when I know I'm going to be at home all day, but still. That extended break from screen time is a life saver.
2. Fidget toys.
Okay, so I may also have autism.
But!!!! Fidget toys are miracle workers for all kinds of mental illnesses and uncomfortable feelings, so don't think you can't invest in some just because you're not on the spectrum. Fidget toys are literally made to soothe anxiety, so get yourself some!! I have one called a Tangle that I keep on me at all times, and I just mess with it in my pocket when I'm in a social situation and I don't know what to do with my hands, or I start feeling a little overwhelmed. It brings my fight or flight right down. I don't know the science behind it, but I honestly don't even care. Give me fidget toys, or give me death.
3. Model making, eg Legos, 3D puzzles.
Legos and 3D puzzles are another thing that has changed the game for me when it comes to anxiety. Like fidget toys, they are the perfect way to keep your hands busy, but they have the added bonus of keeping your mind busy, too. These are, of course, more of a relaxation technique, something you come home to after a stressful day rather than something to eliminate anxiety on the spot, but we'll take what we can get. These also keep you relaxed and distracted for hours, because there is hours worth of work to be put into them. Plus, they're very addictive - once you start on a Lego set, or a puzzle, you don't want to stop until it's finished. I've sat for eleven hours straight doing a Lego set just because I wanted to see the finished product as soon as possible, and during those eleven hours, my anxiety was non-existent. I was just enjoying myself the entire time.
4. Have a nap.
Very self explanatory, and yet controversial???
But genuinely, just go to sleep??? If you're having a gruesome day, and your mind is bullying you, and you're exhausted, just lay down and go to sleep. Fuck what other people say. There is nothing wrong with clocking out from the horrors of the real world for a few hours. As long as you get back up, all refreshed and ready to tackle another day, who cares??
5. Talk to a loved one.
I am very blessed that I can put this on the list. I know this can be a very difficult coping mechanism for a lot of people - trust me, I know. Growing up, my anxiety was my own, and not once did it ever occur to me to share that problem with anyone else. However, after meeting the right people, and understanding that nobody is going to be annoyed about hearing my problems, talking to people became one of the best and most useful coping mechanisms I've got. It can be as simple as sending your best friend a text telling them how you're feeling, or you can go all out and sit your Mum down with a cup of tea and bawl your eyes out. Getting those feelings out will give you a physical relief as well as a mental relief; the weight you've been carrying, a weight you probably don't even notice any more, will be gone in a matter of minutes. I promise you.
6. Exercise.
I know. I was shocked too. All those scientists that told us exercise and moving your body is good for your mental health were right. Bastards.
Just go on a walk. That's what I mean when I say 'exercise.' If you want to go to the gym and lift weights, or run a marathon, you go right ahead. More power to you. But by 'exercise' I just mean. . . move your body. Take the dog on a walk! Walk to the shop instead of driving! Get a bike! The tiniest bit of movement in a day can do wonders, whether we want to admit it or not.
7. Blast happy, sing-in-the-car music.
There's a playlist of Spotify that I highly recommend when it comes to wanting to escape reality and just have a good time. It's literally called Songs to Sing in the Car, and it's one of those playlists Spotify make themselves, just full of songs that you can sing at the top of your lungs, or blast through your headphones, and just have a real good time for a little while. I know it's easy sometimes to just go straight to that playlist full of sad songs that you can relate to in that moment, but try and go for a different approach - go find old bangers that you used to jump around to as a kid. It's a breath of fresh air.
8. Do chores.
Two in one baby!
A good chunk of the time, our anxiety is stemming from our to-do list, even if we're not thinking about it. All around us is evidence of all the unfinished tasks we've got to do, and that can really stress you out. Personally, whenever I'm anxious, I become almost camotose; I will just sit on the sofa and stare at the wall, feeling everything all at once. However, I've found that using this time to do little tasks around the house actually makes me feel better. I'm not saying I go and do a full massive clean; I might push myself just a bit to wash one or two dishes, or the whole sink if I can manage it. I'll hoover the living room floor. I'll go upstairs and put my clothes away. Just tiny jobs, only as much as I can push myself to do. A lot of the time, one job turns into two, and then two turns to three, and soon my house is spotless, and you know what they say - clean space, clear mind!
9. Take up knitting/ crocheting.
This one is pretty self-explanatory. I only discovered this as a coping mechanism when I was suffering from really bad insomnia and I couldn't sleep; I somehow found myself watching YouTube tutorials on knitting, and I was overcome with this intense urge to learn. It was literally one in the morning, and I drove to my Mum's house (dragged my fiance out of bed to come with me, too, sorry babe <3) and grabbed knitting needles and some yarn. I was up knitting for about an hour, and I felt so relaxed that I actually managed to go to sleep! For the first time in days! So not only can you make really cute clothes and nick-nacks and learn a new skill, you're also relaxing that anxious brain of yours for a little bit.
10. Have a good cry.
Yeah. Just this.

Kai: But when all hope seemed lost, I had an epiphany!
Kai, earlier: I'm going to throw myself into the sea.
Zane: Kai, you can do anything!
Kai: Anything?
Zane: Anything!
Kai, holding a torch: ANYTHING?!?!
Zane: Wait, not that!
Cole: Guess who just found out the difference between wax paper and parchment paper the hard way?
Nya: Wait, what’s the difference?
Cole: One you can use in the oven safely, and the other you can also use in the oven... if the thing you are trying to make happens to be fire.
Kai: Time sensitive question how flirt boy.
Pixal: Throw rocks at he.
Cole: Hot Dogs.
Morro: Kill him.
Kai: Thanks guys.
Nya: Clownery. Tomfoolery. Absolute fuckery, I am going to revoke your life privileges.
Pixal: You use emojis like a straight person.
Kai: That’s literally the worst thing anyone has ever said about me.
Kai: Hey, random question, what are your favorite flowers?
Jay: Peonies, why?
Kai:
Jay: Were you going to get me flowers?
Kai:
Jay:
Kai: ᶦᵗ’ˢ ᵃ ᵖᵒˢˢᶦᵇᶦˡᶦᵗʸ
Jay: Wow, that was quick thinking on that phony sacrifice stuff.
Nya: Oh, that was all real.
Jay: Wait, you were trying to help them kill us?!
Nya: If I’m gonna be sacrificed, I’m gonna do it right.
*The gang is about to do something dangerous*
Cole: Shouldn’t someone give a pep talk?
Kai: Go ahead.
Cole: Be careful.
Cole: Don’t die.
Pixal: *Holds back a laugh*
Kai: Great. We’re all bloody inspired.
Jay: FIGHT ME, YOU NERD ASS SLUT!
Cole: At least try to sound slightly more sophisticated when you threaten someone.
Jay: Oh, I'm sorry. I should ask; dost thou want to engage in a duel, my good bitch?
Cole: Somehow that's worse.
Kai: I can’t believe my birth certificate says F...
Kai: ...How did I fail being born?
Cole: Look at me straight in the eyes and tell me the truth, Zane!
Zane: You can’t expect me to look into your eyes and be straight.
Pixal: You were wise to seek help from the world's most deadly weapon.
Pixal: It's me.
Cole, in a room with Jay, Kai, and Nya: It’s calm in here.
Cole: It scares me…
Nya: Fight me!
Kai, standing behind them and holding a knife: *mouths* Do not.
Zane: Nya got into a fight.
Kai: That’s bad.
Kai:
Kai: Did she win?
Cole: Jay, I don’t think I can handle any more of your tomfuckery.
Jay: Oh yeah? Well I can keep going until you’re all tomfuckered out!
Kai: Is that a gun?!
Jay: It's not what it looks like!
Kai: It looks like a gun!
Jay: Okay, maybe it is what it looks like, but in my defense, it doesn't have anymore bullets, so I technically can't shoot it anymore.
Kai: ...ANYMORE?!
Kai, to the Squad: I’d die for you.
Jay: Then perish.
Pixal: You will.
Nya: Please don’t.
Cole: Cool.
Zane: I’d die for you first.
Nya: If you got arrested what would be the charges?
Jay: Theft.
Zane: Disturbing the peace.
Cole: Aggravated assault.
Kai: Arson.
Pixal: All of the above. In that order, probably.
Nya: You know what I asked Santa for Christmas this year?
Jay: If you say me, I swear I’ll—
Nya: You? What? No, I asked him for that cool Ninjago Lego set we saw in Target!
Cole, texting Zane: Zane there’s a moth on the outside of the bathroom door can you get rid of it?
Cole: Pls hurry because I’m going to cry
Cole: Zane
Cole: Zane
Zane: Zane is dead. You’re next. Love, Moth.
Pixal: A sprite is anything not static.
Jay: A sprite is a variable object, be it 2d or 3d.
Cole: A sprite is a fucking soda.
Cole: You god damn geekass bastards.
Kai: *sighs* I have no friends...
Jay:
Jay: *coughs* Bitch, what am I? A roach?!
Zane: *tapping fingers on table*
Cole: *taps fingers back furiously*
Jay: …What’s going on?
Pixal: Morse code. They’re talking.
Zane: -.-- ..- .-. / - …. . / -.-. ..- - . … -
Cole: *slams hands on table* YOU TAKE THAT BACK!
Jay: *finds half a watermelon at Whole Foods*
Jay, holding it up for everyone to see: LIES!
Kai: Don't break someone's heart, they only have one.
Nya: Break one of their bones instead, they have 206 of them.
Kai, singing: I don’t want a lot for Christmas, there is just one thing I need—
Zane: A family.
Cole: A better love life.
Nya: Mental stability.
Pixal: *clueless* Bagels?
Zane: Don't joke about murder. I was murdered once and it offends me.
Jay: I'm sorry. Please talk to me.
Kai:
Jay: Hello? World's most amazing person?? Sweet pea? Precious cinnamon roll that's too good for this world, too pure?
Kai: 'Sorry' doesn't bring back my fucking M&Ms.
Nya: You think that’s cringe? Moms around the world wait 9 months just to end up naming their kid Jay.
Jay: Hey, fuck you.
Jay: Of course I have a lot of pent-up rage, you fool! I've been the same height since I was twelve!
Pixal: Why is Kai crying?
Zane: They saw a leaf on the sidewalk and-
Kai: IT LOOKED SO CRUNCHY!
Pixal: Please don’t say what I think you’re gonna say-
Kai: AND WHEN I STEPPED ON IT THERE WAS NO CRUNCH!
Pixal: NO, NOT THAT!
Zane: Hey, what have you two been up to?
Nya: We were helping Kai write his vows, but he kicked us out because Cole was making inappropriate suggestions.
Cole: How is “Jay, I love your sweet ass” inappropriate?

The other day I had to go out shopping with my family, and while I usually hated shopping for once, I have found some pretty funny Pokémon merch (or rather, bootlegs).
(Under a read more because it is very picture heavy)
I mean, nice try but I know that’s a Mimikyu lol /j
Wait… Lego Brock? What’s next to him? What is happening—
Literally the first thing I see after DP Brock is OG Gary. Nice.
JAMES??? Are you okay?? Please speak to me!! Also is that supposed to be a rose? I actually thought it was a sceptre right until I started posting this lol.
IS THAT SUPPOSED TO BE DAISY?? SHE ISNT EVEN IN THE ANIME??? HELP???
Anyways, after this fun run I realised that there was the back of the box that shows all of the characters available and I’m just here to say that I wish I never saw it.
Ash: My brother called him bold and yeah, I’ve got to agree
Pikachu: Not his Pokédex number but I’ll let it slide.
Misty: #notmymisty (Why is her hair like that???)
Bulbasaur: Could’ve put this guy first. Also okay, this seems to be an OG thing here…
Brock: Still stuck in Hisui I see. It happens to the best of us.
Daisy(?): Had to get some girl rep I guess
Squirtle: #notmysquirtle Get the sunglasses if you’re going to be bootleg
Eevee: It’s crying out in pain, I can just hear it. How did they massacre your design that badly???
(Me: Okay, who is this rando??? …Wait, it couldn’t be…)
It’s Leon. Yeah. He lost his cap and ended up in this strange dimension with the rest of everyone. Also his hair may be cut down to shoulder length, I can’t tell.
Professor Oak: Yeah his hair went disco, he’s still in the 1970s having the time of his life or something. My sister thought he was a girl lol.
Charmander and Pichu aren’t bad ig, but the latter is a bit unexpected at this point.
James and Gary are There. Gary at least got the canon family so I can’t be too mad. James, however, is stuck with the last two of the pack imo, Gengar and Snorlax (Gen 1 who get GMax and a Mega/Z Crystal respectively… also just very well known mons) and now I’m scared if it’s an allegory for Meowth as a big cat and Jessie being dead or something. Or maybe I’m just reaching.
ALSO. Each part they have works into making a Dialga and Palkia, so there’s that. Maybe that’s the reason why they are all badly made and have been summoned to the White Space. Someone make a fanfic about it.
Further on my quest to find a small gift token for some people in a class I teach, I came upon this curious thing.
Me: Oh boy, I can’t wait to see what stickers they would make out of the XY series! Hopefully there would be some good ones out here.
(My sister: That keyhole is for the Master Class)
The stickers:
Wow, I totally remember May being there! Also I’m pretty sure it was DP that had the 10th anniversary but idk (Advanceshipping real?). Anyways I love how there is so much AG and then we get Togepi and Piplup coming in. And OG Ash. And Cyndaquil. And Phione. And my personal favourite Pokémon Rumble Charmander.
But
But perhaps the next page will give me what I want, right?
Wrong! Deoxys movie sticker be upon you!!! No, seriously, how did they get that as a sticker? I love the rep though, just wished we had all of the other characters too ngl to complete the pic. My brother loved the second Ash on the bottom pic, said it looked very smug, and honestly imagine using that sticker. For what occasion would it be most useful?? Also miscoloured OG Ash on the third row from the bottom my beloved, more 3D pics, Skitty in a Contest stage, DP Ash?? And Birch merchandise (we need that around here). Now there is one more sticker page left (it repeats the same pages afterwards), and I honestly gave up hope. And I was right to, but still, look at this lol:
The only Lucario you will ever get. That Croagunk one with Chimchar at the back. That one Ranger from that one Ranger’s special (I think the Deoxys one???). And of course, we can’t forget Shedinja.
So yeah, it was definitely a pretty eventful shopping day. I couldn’t get a picture of it, but there was this holographic picture in a frame that had Pikachu changing into different Kanto Starters, and another frame from another shop that flashed with Ash and the gang from multiple series (got jumpscared by XY help). Idk but that existed lol.
#I love how for the stickers that shadow all the way in the back is probably Darkrai#But I cannot for the life of me guess what the shadow is on the left hand side down the middle of the page#Bootleg merch continues to make me laugh lol#If anyone loves Pikachu they should get this sticker pack#Also the toys make no sense whatsoever#Why is my OV people dealing with Dialga and Palkia??#What happened to Team Rocket??#How did Leon get lost?? Okay that one is an easy one#silv.ex

eun!!! i'm working on a ✨project✨ for valentine's day and i can't believe i didn't think of this sooner -- as the resident jake jensen lover, what kinds of things would you put in a gift. asker for him???
OMG THIS IS SUCH A GOOD WUESTION. THANKYOU FOR COMING TO ME FOR JAKEY ADIVCE THIS MENAS THE WORKD TO ME. okay did you mean a gift basket for jakey hehe 🌝 admittedly my concept of jakey is a lot lil ooc but i would include for sure:
cute/funny t-shirts with like silly phrases or pics on them.
cool techy gadgets (like little dumb things that are overly-complicated tech wise: a 3d printing pen, a robot vacuum, a bluetooth mini fridge, that kind of thing).
loooots of snacks bc jakey loves snacks i’m just convinced of it like probably cursed snacks such as funions, hot cheetos, all the crazy mountain dew flavors.
maybe a cute little rubix cube and all the sides are pics of the two of you hehe 🥺💖
hmmmmmm what else… i wanna give him some sort of weird stuffie but that’s just me like maybe a stuffed wifi router or satellite dish.
ooh i think he’d like funny boxers with cheeky (😛) jokes on them, i could just keep going…
stickers for his laptop.
i feel like he collects encyclopedias about random niche topics (that’s where he learns all his weird facts) so maybe new ones on new topics, the weirder the better…
legos. he’s a lego guy to me.
also i feel like he would be into trading cards, maybe pokemon.
coupons for free head/handjobs/whatever else 😌 or honestly if you wanna be more wholesome, just coupons for free hugs 🥺 free snuggles 🥺🥺 jakey is babie boy he needs to be held he needs physical affection 🥺🥺🥺
#LMFAO THIS ANSWER WAS SO EXTENDED 😭#WHAT IS IT ABOUT JAKEY IDEK 😭#I JUST LOVE HIM 🥺#HE’S SO SPECIAL TO ME 🥺#we love dest#eun loves jakey the most most most

BAHA guess who forgot to do an intro post
it me
ANYWAYS hi I'm moth! you can call me obie too if you'd like. I like both names. I'm a host of a decently small DID system, but my headmates will never (or at least very rarely) post on this blog. A couple of the others may start side blogs so I'll update you if that happens and they'll introduce themselves there.
OKAY important stuff out of the way- I'm in the sfw tickle community and have been for a while. Probably like 8-9 years now. I had a blog when I was younger but it got so overrun with bots I had to delete it and haven't made a new blog until now! I'm back in business!
I'd really love to make friends in the community, so don't be afraid to dm me or shoot me an ask!
I'll probably post stuff about my hyperfixations too! So i'll list my current hyperfixations here:
The Lego movie, Harvest Moon Tale of Two Towns (3DS game), Fantasy Life (lesser known 3DS game), Pokemon, and prolly some other stuff but I'm forgetful.

GBA Wishlist
Okay so I’m thinking about picking up a GBA so I can play those games on a real console instead of emulated. I had a silver and then a blue GBA SP as a kid. I’m torn between a modded original GBA or an SP, especially the triforce design. Anyways, I wanted to list some games I’d actually play on a GBA and figured I might as well post it online to look back on later, not sure if the notes will even make sense to anyone but me. Feel free to add recommendations. Also I had so much fun making this list that I’m thinking about going through and doing a similar list for the DS, 3DS, GameCube (on my WiiU), Wii (on my Wii U), Wii U, PS3, PS1 (on my PS3 or Vita), Vita, PSP (on my Vita) since those are the consoles I can currently play on original (or close enough) hardware.
Big hitters:
* Advance wars - 1 and 2, never really tucked into them past the tutorial before and having a real GBA would really force me to take them nice and slow.
* Fire emblem - multiple, I could even grab a fan tran of FE6
* Drill dozer - doubt I’d have rumble on a flash cart but this would have a lot more charm on a physical gba
* Pokémon mystery dungeon - again, I think I’d have more patience with this slow game on a real gba
* Chain of memories - been meaning to play this anyways
* FF5-6 patched - fan patched because of the audio, but I think these have exclusive content on a GBA vs snes/ps1 and I wanna play these games on a non-modern screen
* FF Tactics Advance - again, just feels more charming on a small screen
* MM battle network - been meaning to play these anyways
* NES Classics - not the best way to play these games, but kind of a novelty
* Super Mario advance 1-4 - would be so funny to play the Wii U rom of SMA4, but also I grew up with that game
* Kuru Kuru Kururin - always one I use to test a new emulator setup, easy fun
* Tony Hawk - had a recent Tony Hawk phase, these ones are supposed to be good
* Doom - novelty
* Game and watch gallery 4 - great for testing/pick up and play
* F zero/Mario kart - again, very pick up and play
* Mario golf advance tour - loved the gba Mario tennis and I should play this one too
* Wario Land 4 - had a wario land phase recently and stopped mid-3
* Golden Sun - I did actually do the first hour or so on Wii U but this game belongs on handheld
* Warioware - the definition of pick up and play
* Minish Cap - I feel like this game is good enough to be worth playing removed from the original console so it’s doubly worth playing on a real one
* Mother 3 - Cmon, this one is a gimme. Playing the fan Tran on a real GBA would be such an own on Nintendo
Lesser:
* Swordcraft Story - started this on vita, pretty cute
* Banjo Kazooie/Pilot - because I played nuts and bolts as a kid
* Bit generations - don’t have the ROM’s currently but I love a simple game
* Boktai - patched for the sensor but cmon it’s Hideo
* Bomberman - they made so many of these for GBA
* Bookworm - I’m a simple man
* Car battler joe - I always see this mentioned
* Starfy - fan trans
* Various SNES ports (DKC) - I had DKC as a kid but also there’s sooo many snes ports
* Dr Mario & Puzzle League - pick up and play
* Yugioh - I had one as a kid and got into these recently
* GTA - I think this one is a GTA3 prequel?
* Various fighting games (MK, GG, Tekken, SF) - novelty
* Jet grind radio - even if just for the music
* Finding Nemo - had as kid
* Lady Sia - seen on lists
* Sabrewulf - rare! And seen on lists
* That one xcom game (rebelstar) - I mean, I do like xcom
* LttP - never played it, I should look up version differences first
* Lego Star Wars - had as kid
* Return of the king - seen on lists, seems better than it should be
* Magical vacation - fan Tran, from Hazel’s video
* Pac-Man - various here, pick up and play
* Polarium - polarium DS is cute
* Puyo - pick up and play
* Zone of the Enders - I’ve been meaning to play this and the 2 main games
* Denki blocks - cute puzzle game
* Gunstar super heroes - kind of a shmup, I stan treasure honestly
* Sword of mana - I think this is a remake of the first game? So it’s safe to start here?
* Sigma star saga - read about this in Nintendo power as a kid, seems like a shmup rpg hybrid
* Hamtaro - nobody will shut up about how good this game is for some reason
* Pinball of the dead - seen this one praised a few times
* Chu chu rocket - I wasn’t convinced until I saw that it had 2500 user created levels
* Tactics Ogre - surprised to see this so high on metacritic when I didn’t know it existed before
* Ninja Five O - no one will shut up about this game
* Various racing games
* Asterisk and obelisk XL - impressively 3D
* Harvest moon - maybe the tiny screen will finally convince me to have the patience to farm
* Activision Anthology - again, just for the novelty
Replay:
* 3 Castlevanias - only actually beat Aria
* Mega Man Zero - hard, maybe too hard
* Sonic Advance 1-3 - had 3 as kid, love these
* Kirby - didn’t beat amazing mirror, wouldn’t mind trying to 100% nightmare
* Metroid Zero Mission/Fusion - classics. Perfection.
* Pokémon RSE/FRLG - always due for a replay
* Pokémon pinball - my go to testing game
* Mario tennis power tour - never did beat hard mode. And it’s been a while
* Mario Vs donkey kong - played as kid
* Klonoa - very pick up and play

My new idea for making ttrpg battle maps
Short version: (because I've written way too much...)
The idea isn't a world premier idea. It's a new idea for me. I love to visually represent the scenes, towns, dungeons at the table to my players. Usually "only" using FlipMats, as my gross motor skills are only used once a year: To wrap Christmas presents and even that usually takes around 30-40 minutes. Per present.
So I recently came up with the idea of building hopefully visually appealing 3D landscapes, dungeons, etc. with Lego, which I still have from my childhood.
I would like to share the results and experiences (probably also frustrations) here. Which should also serve as motivation for me to actually do this! At the moment the bricks are drying after a long bath... Updates will follow.
Long story below:
Long story:
I'm always looking for new ways to present (battle-)maps to my players at the table. Starting with flip mats from Pathfinder, on to the various dungeon tiles, printed vtt maps and the "super great" campaign case. But all that wasn't enough for me. I wanted something new, more blatant, 3D! With heights. Real LOS and maybe even "destructible" elements.
But many methods usually have the same problems: space to accommodate them, money (yes, I know many inexpensive methods), and above all, two personal things: firstly, they require fine motor skills. This always throws a spanner in the works for me. I am a diagnosed and treated gross motoric, which only means that today I can tie my shoes and catch a ball. Not perform fine stuff with my fingers. I either need almost three times as long to do everything, or I run into my second problem: spatial perception. I'm a beast at throwing a grenade into the sharpest angle and the smallest corner in first person shooters, but IRL imagining a house, or if a closet fits into a narrow space? No way...
I've tried the low-cost alternative at least. Building out of cardboard what others do with foam. Nice with magnets and everything. Found a really good tutorial. I hard failed at gluing the magnets. Was I deeply frustrated? Yes. Did I give up quickly? Also yes.
Lunar cycles passed. Sessions were played. PCs were killed.
I was browsing the Black Friday deals the other day looking for a good board game deal. Not a ttrpg, something for in between the sessions. That's when I discovered the D&D Lego set with the dragon. It looked really impressive. Beautiful dragon, great castle. On offer for a mere 300€. If I had been drinking water at that moment, I would have watered my screen.
I paused for a moment. "Lego," I said to myself. "FROM LEGO!" I've still got tons of the bricks in my parents' attic. Entire knights' castles, a Viking ship and Star Wars. Okay, the latter perhaps less helpful. The next day I rummaged through the dust palace and found what I was looking for. After 2 hours. I just washed all the parts. I have no idea what bacterial cultures have gathered there over time. At the moment I'm waiting for the stones to finally dry so I can start building something. Over 15 years of Minecraft should have done something in my head regarding "block building". Shouldn't it?

List five things that make you happy, then put this in the ask box of the last ten people who reblogged something from you. Spread the positivity!!
Ooooooo, okay
Animal Crossing. It's just such a special part of my life and it really defined my childhood. just,,, sitting in the back of my dad's car in the summer, driving down some road in Sweden with my 3DS for hours and hours. And playing New Horizons with my friends. We all live in different countries, but we can still hang out in silly little video games and just goofing around.... Yeah <3
The colour yellow. It's just such a lovely colour. Bright and warm and the right sade of it just fills me with so much joy. Van Gogh was onto something there about yellow. I love Vincent's paintings. The way he uses yellow. Love that guy, honestly.
My lego BD-1. The little lad, the fella, the lil guy. Obsessed with him. I have so many pictures of him, and I like patting his lil head. I'm just like Cal fr. Combines 2 things I greatly enjoy: The Mantis crew and lego. Shout out to my mom for getting it for me for christmas
Cats. They're just little guys. What's not to love? I love small cats, big cats, medium cats. They're all special to me <3 I finally got to play Stray a while ago and what a great experience. Loved being a little guy, just running around. Splendid experience
Art. I just love art. Any form, whether it is paintings or drawings or sculptures, movies or tv, photography, video games, music, litterature. I love art. What a truly great thing we have, creating these beautiful and moving things from our very souls full of love and care. Something that speaks to us and we share it with the world bc art is meant to be shared and enjoyed toghether. Like we just do that. Incredible. What a world we live in

Once again, I'm later than I thought I'd be on this, but here are my favorite Tang moments from 'Amnesia Rules' that I missed during my season 3 rewatch:
This is the first time we've seen this worried face from Tang. It really encapsulates the very specific emotions that would come from only this exact situation.
For the briefest of moments, Tang finally got the respect he deserved. Unfortunately, it was only because an amnesiac celestial being simply confused him for his old friend and Master (who he may or may not be the reincarnation of).
You cannot tell me that this man is not 100% gay acespec. I know there's the whole "she's a demon" thing, but still. This is the second time in the show where a pretty female-presenting demon is clearly showing some kind of interest and he immediately disregards it.
I love how LMK has embraced the whole 👉👈 thing. Very fun and very cute running gag.
Side note, I hope Lego makes more 2d shows in the future. The hands and the characters can be so expressive while still clearly being lego figures. I haven't seen Ninjago, so I don't know what they do in that show, but I think 2d just opens up more avenues for character expressiveness than what the 3d animation style can provide. (This is not an insult to Ninjago, please don't be mad at me. I have literally not seen ANYTHING in that show, so it could be super expressive and I just don't know)
This is the face of a man who realizes his hero can be a big pain in the ass sometimes.
I got to say, I kind of missed the "Tang loves noodles" gag. Since they have been so busy running around, we haven't seen this gag at all this season, so it's nice to have a good ol' return to form here.
I wish we saw this side of Tang more in the show. I feel like Tang has a lot of wisdom to share, but we usually only see the more relaxed, comedic side of him. It surprises me that they don’t utilize Tang this way more often, so I’m hoping we see a bit more of ‘wise Tang’ in the future, beyond him just telling stories.
I know SWK keeps his distance from everyone besides MK, but I like to think he's growing just a little fond of others during this whole trip.
Okay! That’s it for the main season 3 episodes! I’ll be moving onto the special tomorrow. Thanks for sticking with me during the main season!
Here are my other Favorite Tang Moments
#lego monkie kid#monkie kid#lmk#lego monkie kid tang#monkie kid tang#lmk tang#tang#top tier Tang episode for sure#I’m going to admit#I wasn’t sure how I felt about this episode when I first watched it#but it really grew on me on my second viewing

What sort of hobbies or toys do you think Nessie would have if she was still supernaturally intelligent BUT had the emotional maturity of her age? So, think like a real child prodigy. Instead of lockets and silverware, what do you get a child who is smarter than you but still a kid? Especially if said kid only has the emotionally maturity of a literal infant? Or I guess we can age her up to a toddler to make this easier.
I could see her enjoying puzzles or building games. She doesn't strike me as a child who is very interested in imaginative play. At least, that's my impression of her from the book. She seems pretty coldly logical. I keep thinking about her declaring the drinking donated human blood is a "nice compromise." Headcanons where she likes dress up and fairy tea parties are cute but that's not the vibe I personally got from her; I can't imagine the Renesmee in my head doing that. But obviously other people see her differently!
But something like legos, or magnet building toys, or even a marble run might appeal to her because it's more logical thinking fun than make-believe. Complicated 3D puzzles, maybe.
And musical instruments. Maybe they started off as a toy piano or xylophone but then she's composing complex songs on them so they get her child-sized but legitimate instruments.
I hope, though, that Emmett or Jacob or Esme or someone can TEACH her how to play, that not everything has to be a serious intellectual endeavor, that it's okay to be silly and goofy. I think the only moment of that in the book is her laughing while Bella is smashing a rock with her newborn strength. As I've said before, the gaping void around Renesmee in the book is JOY. It's all worry and reverence, but no silliness or happiness or goofy voices and that's why she feels so cold and robotic to me I think.
Toddlers are hilarious and adorable and terrible and Renesmee is just this perfect porcelain doll who loves her mom. Someone teach her how to be silly.

Before I head to bed and off to dreamland, let's do some headcannons. Some are fluffy, some are angst this is just to get the last of my energy out so I'm not up at 5am...again...for the 12th day in a row. CW:angst is going to be pretty sad or dark, but the fluff hopefully will balance it out. Be honest with what you think.
Every Meleena has a teddy bear. Yes even in MKX. She also loves to color so if you want to bond with her, offer some coloring stuff and to play with dolls.
Sonya may have a very hardened exterior, but still has ptsd from the kombat and years in combat zones in earthrelm. At one point before meeting Jax and Johnny, she was experiencing Sui. Ideation. Too afraid to attempt but afraid to get help, but luckily Jax being a fellow soldier and Johnny always with her, she finally was able to get help without losing her spot in special forces.
Devorah visited Australia once and actually enjoyed it, she's even got a pet funnel web spider much to Kano's protest.
Kitana misses Milena sometimes, in her words "yes she was a monster, but she was a part of her. ". Liu Kang is still helping her sort that out.
Raiden would like to try and socialize more and he'll maybe start dating, but the fact he is a God and 7ft tall does make things complicated. Let's keep encouraging him so he don't go dark.
Yes, Shao is the Big Bad Evil Guy, but he wouldn't have been if Sindel didn't up and want her hubby dead. Also, I think he prefers older partners than young ones.
Jade was given a puzzle by Cassie and its now her favorite hobby. Shes done 3D, 2D, glow in the dark, even Lego builds for adults.
Once a month, Johnny takes Eron to his fave place to eat out. After Sonya passed, it went from friends to something a bit more💖.
Kabal has early onset arthritis. He is keeping ontop of it, but he's been hoarding money and valuables better than kollector so he has something to live on once he's too banged up to be in the Black Dragon.
Reptile is helping Kabal make sure he bones remain as strong as possible.
Sheeva has a crush on Sonya. Almost to the point she would have taken her as a bride if she wasn't already married.
Okay I'm spent. Tell me what you think and ill look at it when I get up gnight!

Another Jun
Genre: fluff, romance, family, dad!Junmyeon, husband!Junmyeon
Main Characters: Kim Junmyeon x Reader (oc: female)
Summary: Married life with Kim Junmyeon only gets better as you await for your third child.
Word count: 1.6k+ words
Your feet were swollen and you couldn't help but feel tired despite doing nothing all day. Despite being 6 months pregnant, you still had to be a mother to a 5 year old Junseok and a 2 year old Junyeong. Your hormones weren't helping either.
"Junseok-a, can you watch your brother for a while? Mom has to change clothes so we can fetch appa by the bus stop." You say to your obedient five year old. He nods cutely and rushes to his dongsaeng. You smile at the two with content in your heart.
You change into a loose dress that would make your baby bump less visible. Your ultrasound results would be coming in today since they failed to give it to you directly yesterday. You were planning on bringing the boys to the nearby restaurant and surprise their father. It has been a while since you four went out.
You hear Junyeong whine from the living room and you internally groan. What was it now?
"Junseok-a, what's happening?" You call out to the two boys. "Eomma, Junyeong doesn't want to change his clothes." You see a crying Junyeong on the floor, a worried Junseok and Junyeong's clothes thrown across the room.
You sigh and pick up the clothes Junseok chose for Junyeong. He was always the responsible hyung. If you told him to watch him over, he'd do more than just that. He will feed his brother, comfort him, help him change his clothes if he knew he had to.
"Junyeong, listen to your hyung, okay?" You say to your two year old. You take off his pajamas and button on the shirt his brother picked for him.
After changing Junyeong's clothes, you change Junseok's. Thankfully, Junseok was always obedient and he never did anything to make things harder for you. It was as if he was born to be a big brother. He was responsible and dependable like his father, you smile at that thought.
You hold the two boys hand by hand as you unlock your door and get out. You open your mailbox and get the only mail you had for today: the ultrasound results. You were nervous but excited too. Was it going to be a girl this time? You hoped so.
You walk to the bus stop and you were grateful that your kids were being calm and controllable today. Junyeong was occupied with the bikes while Junseok loved walks with his eomma and dongsaeng. He liked watching after you two. Junmyeon taught him well, you thought.
You put the results inside Junyeong's backpack so you can still hold the two boys. Arriving at the bus stop, Junyeong, by initiative, took his brother and let him sit on the bus stop's bench.
You sit beside Junyeong who was now energetic, talking to his brother in phrases about the cars that were passing by while the older brother nodded in delight despite having different interests. Junyeong was always fascinated with cars and Legos while Junseok took after his father's love for music and art.
A bus pulls into the bus stop after a minute or two. A few people gets out but what made your heartbeat skip was the sight of your husband in a tuxedo, with bright eyes and even a brighter smile. Despite being married for six years, he made you feel things as if you were still teenagers in their first week.
"Appa!" Junyeong, the daddy's boy, immediately ran to his father. Junseok followed his dongsaeng but instead of running and hugging him, he slightly bows to greet him respectfully.
"My boys!" You hear Junmyeon laugh excitedly, carrying the two boys in his arms. He walks to you with a toothy grin. "Boys, close your eyes." He playfully told them and kissed you in the lips.
You close your eyes at the feel of his sweet, plump lips. "Jagiya." He whispers against your lips and the hair on the back of your neck stood. He gave you butterflies just like how he did when he confessed to you in high school at a random karaoke place. You remember vividly how he asked you out thirteen years ago and that thought still made sparks fly.
He breaks the kiss before the two boys can open their eyes and see what their parents were doing. He kisses you on the temple after and bends down to kiss your baby bump. You couldn't be any happier, you thought.
"What are you guys doing here?" He asks with a euphoric glint in his eyes. "Thought we can go out since it's been a while we took the boys out. Besides, Junseok has been bored at home lately." Junseok's eyes visibly lit up at what you said. Despite knowing that he was a responsible hyung, you knew he was still a kid and he still liked knowing that you paid some attention to him. You place a kiss on his cheek which makes him giggle.
"Really? Then we should go to the new restaurant nearby? I heard they have good steak." Junmyeon offers you a smile, awaiting your response. "That's exactly what I was thinking." You blush at the thought of having the same ideas with your husband. "And that's why we're soulmates." You giggle at what he said.
The walk to the nearby local restaurant lasted for five minutes. Your feet were sore but you couldn't say it aloud. You would ruin it for Junseok who only smiled now.
You wince when you feel your swollen feet ache. Junseok gives you a concerned glance but you dismiss it quickly with a smile. Junmyeon walks slower so he could walk beside you. "I'll massage it at home?" He gives you an apologetic smile and you chuckle at your husband's sweetness.
"Whatever, jagi." You chuckle as he readjusts the two boys in his arms. Junmyeon must've been working out extra lately. He could carry the two boys effortlessly which meant he made an effort so he could do this. Your heart swells at that.
You arrive at the restaurant and Jun places the two kids on the ground. The waiter shows you to a table for four and it made you smile. Dates with Jun used to happen in nice restaurants like these. It used to be just you two but now, you have two other Juns and another addition coming on the way.
"Hey, you okay?" Junmyeon asks, snapping you out of your thoughts. "Nothing, I'm just happy I have you. And the kids." You scrunch your nose at what you said. You weren't the type to say sweet things like this. It was him who had the romantic bone in the relationship. But every time you said something like this, Junmyeon would blush. Right now, he's red.
You sat down beside Junseok who was behaved in his seat while Junyeong bounced on his father's lap. The three Juns really looked alike as if it was only Junmyeon who made them. The two boys looked nothing like you.
"Spaghetti!" Junyeong cheered when Junmyeon scanned the menu. "Junseok-a, what do you want?" Junseok shook his head profusely at your question.
You sigh at how humble and understanding your son was. He never ordered anything for himself. Instead, he opted for what you wanted for him to eat. He liked to depend on your decision once in a while.
"Fried chicken for me and Junseok. Also, a strawberry ice cream for him." Your son visibly smiled at you. You knew him and small things like these were enough to make him feel like he's on cloud nine.
"Two rib-eyes too, well done. And one spaghetti." Junmyeon nodded at the waiter who was listing down our orders. "Drinks, sir?" The waiter asked. "Just water for everyone." He winks at you.
"So this dinner is a.. celebration." You fiddle with your fingers. Despite this being the third time you are to reveal your baby's gender, it still made you a little nervous.
Junseok's eyes were focused on you as you opened his backpack and got the envelope of results out. Junmyeon looked nervous, happy and excited all at the same time.
You tear the envelope and pull the paper from the inside. You gulped, even making Junmyeon more nervous as if this wasn't his third time too.
Your eyes scan the paper. It hovers over the bottom with the 3D ultrasound of the baby inside your womb. Your heart soars and tears couldn't help but pool in your eyes. Happiness wasn't enough to describe what you were feeling. Words could never give justice as to how you feel so blessed and joyous.
"It's a boy." You whispered in tears of joy, handing the results to Junmyeon.
You earn a gasp from Junseok and tears from Junmyeon. He was just as ecstatic as he was when he first heard about Junseok. The spark in his eyes never dimmed, he was the best father to your kids. Silently, you thanked the heavens for giving you such a perfect man.
Junmyeon reaches for your hand across the table. He brought Junyeong to your side and made him kiss your belly. "Welcome to the family, little one." He whispers before kissing it himself too.
"It's another Jun?" Junseok asks out of the blue while his father was sobbing on his knees. "Are you happy, baby?" You ask him caressing his head, his eyes alight like his father's.
"I thought I only wanted a baby sister but hearing about him right now, I'm really excited to meet him, eomma!" He exclaims, being the kid that he hasn't been recently. He envelopes you in a hug and you can't help but cry more. Junseok wipes your tears away and gives you a kiss.
"Don't cry, eomma.." He said with the brightest smile he had today. You laugh at how he reacted. Just like his father, Junseok was just as protective.
You thought you were lucky when you had Junmyeon. Now, you were going to have four.

Instagram doesn’t need us photographers anymore… we are all subservient to the short attention span dopamine feedback loops that TikTok showed as the future… and it’s okay. I found some interesting ways to engage with moving things like a toy trying to tantalize a cat into attention. It’s been a weird experience and it doesn’t feel authentic. Hopefully I haven’t scared off all y’all. Just testing waters on all sorts of ideas. One of my favorite LEGO themes was the Hidden side, and these two characters needed some love so here they are out of my extensive minifigure hoard. Thanks for reading my ramblings and viewing my fun art. I hope it gives y’all a small dopamine kick like it did me when I created it. >>> Swipe for 3D >>> #legohiddenside #stereoscopic #voigtlander25mmf095 https://www.instagram.com/p/CfD4NTgOPLv/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

my collection of cursed star trek merch images
presented for your entertainment and my misery, accompanied by my insightful commentary
1.) Spock Socks
the first thing i feel when i look at these socks is not confusion, no, but contempt. if i was someone wanting to purchase socks with spock on them for some reason, and i got these, when could i ever wear them? i already hear you saying “with pyjamas-“ no. i couldn’t sleep in these socks even if i wanted to, because of the weird 3D ear on the side i would get uncomfortable even IF i somehow enjoyed the aggressively masculine, square-faced doom-style version of spock’s face printed onto the front of the socks.
2.) Captain Kirk Beer Koozie
this makes me uncomfortable in ways i cannot articulate.
3.) Mr. & Mrs. Potato Head Spock & Uhura
i’m so... perplexed as to why someone would make this? and i have so many questions about the designs? why does spock look so cocky?? why are uhura’s eyelashes bright blue?? why does this exist???
4.) Star Trek Vinyl Figures
okay, so maybe these aren’t the worst offense on the list, but their bodies are so different from their heads it makes me confused and upset for the wasted potential. like those heads look good! but the bodies look like a weird mix between a lego figure and a chunky funko pop. there’s so much detail and depth into the face and i love spock’s facial expression in the amok time set, but the bodies are SO different it makes it look like someone had an action figure of spock and then accidentally ripped off the head and lost the body, so they just frankensteined it onto an ill-fitting body.
5.) Square Sulu
I honestly just think it’s funny. he just looks like he’s been compacted into one of those trash-squares from the Wall-E movie
6.) Scotty Stuffed Figure (With a Disgusted Expression)
why is he shaped like that ???? aaaaaaaaaaaaa ??? his feet are so big.

What is your history with The Legend of Zelda? 😊 love your blog!!
Thank you!
Whew okay umm where to start
I was born into a gamer family in 2000, so I basically grew up with an N64 and a gamecube at my disposal. The first game I ever played was Super Mario 64 and I additionally played Ocarina of Time and The Wind Waker but let’s be honest I was a toddler and I never knew what I was doing. At that age, the real joy came from watching my parents play video games. Sometimes after they played I would just watch the Windwaker opening crawl and as a kid I was obsessed because the music and the storytelling in those two minutes like *chef’s kiss*. Of course I didn’t know that’s why I liked it.
However, since I was a kid who didn’t seem to have the patience for playing Zelda games, I grew up playing Mario games, mostly the galaxy games and Mario kart wii. And, of course, the 10/10 perfect outstanding amazing stupendous breathtaking game titled Pikmin 2. I would also play lego games with my dad and Super Mario Bros with my family so you could say I was gradually getting better at the coordination bit.
Skyward Sword came out when I was eleven years old and it instantly rekindled my love for the Zelda series from there on out. From the age of 11, I played and finished every Zelda game I could, and some at the same time. tloz, taol, alttp, oot, mm, tww, tp, ph, st, ss. Not in that order but you get the idea. So by, the time breath of the wild came out I was definitely a seasoned Zelda fan, with almost encyclopedic knowledge of the series. (not to mention a pretty good platformer because I kept going with Mario games and Giana Sisters and eventually being amazing at Celeste but that’s besides the point)
Played botw, albw when my friend loaned me her 3ds, played la and coh when those came out in 2019. In October of 2019 I was hired by the website Zelda Dungeon to be a writer and editor. In April 2020 I was promoted to Associate Editor and in September 2020 I was promoted to Senior Editor.
*takes swig of water*
Now the fan fiction thing. Started in August 2017 when I was inspired by a piece of fan art and I only have my fans to thank for how much I have grown. I have written fan fiction for nearly every Zelda game I have played except for coh and I honestly cannot wait for botw 2.
I know that I am extremely lucky to be born into not only a family of gamers but a family with two working parents and no siblings, and thus we could afford these games and consoles. I am lucky for the welcoming ZD team and my oddly nice fans who have been with me every step of the way.
So, yeah...I mean you asked for a history lesson and honestly this is the condensed version. Luckily there won’t be a test.
Thanks for the ask! I love getting asks!
