My November writing goal is to finish part 2 of Arson and Other Fires. (In other news because I just realized I forgot to say this here: I finished part 1 of AaoF. It's around 30k). Unfortunately I also... don't have that good of an idea of how long part 2 will be? So that's a fun extra challenge
#i'm very impressed with people who do nanowrimo (not necessarily associated with the org) challenges while in school#this is my first one unless you count telling my master's supervisor i would have a chapter done at the end of november last year#and then actually finishing it in like. mid-december

week one of novel writing wrapup ദ്ദി ˉ͈̀꒳ˉ͈́ )✧
sigh …… my detailed outline’s firm decree that the sweetwater portion of the story should be finished before 15k……. the problem is actually that i’m having way too much fun; it should be disheartening that the previous 2 flop drafts had both at Least managed to get the party on the road by this point (though in the very first one they were still at liena’s palace!), but the reason we’re still there now is just because I keep getting struck by new events that I need to have happen there lol. i think it’ll be relatively easy to trim after the fact (and the current misadventure with the castle lord might need to be removed entirely or just relocated to the shrine, we will see how I feel tomorrow) anyways, i just need to get all of my thoughts out for this section of the plot and i have so many of them suddenly lol
anyways we should be on the road to the way-station by the end of tomorrow, which is the portion of story I’ve least been looking forward to (also the worst part of my outline because I still can’t decide when I want the hierai body retrieval situation to be resolved ), basically the goal is to move through it as quickly as possible and not linger on anything except the inn bedroom scene. we’ve spent long enough in sweetwater already setting up what io and hi are trying to achieve & I really really want to get to the landship / the part where rhea arc actually starts moving … as always the only solution is to write More And Faster
#hitting publish on this post and immediately closing my eyes to go to sleep o7#txt#nano tag#<- using that tag forever. I will always be ‘doing nanowrimo’ as a verb regardless of where i’m tracking my words lol#having a mid-post realization about maybe moving some of the sweetwater lord situation TO the ibaramichi start segment …????#but it’ll depend on how any’s intervention / the departure works so it’s impossible to know without looking at it. need to sleep on this …#nanowrimo

I'm officially counting my handwriting book project for Camp NaNoWriMo, in case anyone else is doing that this month and wants to link up on there?
#arbitrary goal is to write four pages in my notebook a day#kinda wish in the last ten years the nanowrimo system had figured out a way to count more than just word count#especially since editing is something they do for camp goals too? ah well#hmu for my username on that site or give me yours#doing the math - ive written 68 notebook pages since mid march#if we average each page to 250 words that about 17k!#if i make my 4 page a day goal i'll be adding another 30k#i dont have an idea of how long exactly i'd like this book to be#but ive got one notebook to fill up after the one i'm using right now and if i do that i'll be at 58k#which sounds like a decent length for the kind of story i'm trying to write. it doesn't have to be a full-length fantasy epic#writing

I know most people on here don't like to go to the gym because you're all gay nerds. I like to go to the gym. For the purpose of understanding this post please try to imagine that you, too, enjoy going to the gym so that you can empathize with my point here.
Anyway, so imagine you are going to the gym. You're pumped about the concept of getting some muscle on you. Plus, the gym has this "lift weights every day!" challenge with a feasible plan to slowly and safely increase the amount of weight you can lift by the end of the month. Cool!
So anyway you go there, and you're having a good time. But then you notice something. Some people are coming in with these guys in shirts that say LIFT FOR HIRE. You're curious, and you notice over time that some people are actually paying these guys to come in and do the lifting challenge for them.
"Huh," you say to your mega hot, muscled gym buddy. "That's so weird. What's in it for the people paying these guys?"
"Dunno," says your friend, mid bicep curl.
"Um, actually!" says the gym owner. "Some people are disabled, so the only way they can lift weights it to pay LIFT FOR HIRE, inc."
"But wait," you say. "They still aren't lifting the weights though? Paying someone else to lift for you doesn't mean you've lifted the weights."
The gym owner gasps. "How could you SAY that?"
"Because... it's true?" you say. "Uh, if you pay guys to lift your weights, that's probably really good for the guys you are paying. But it's not going to develop your ability to lift at all. Your muscles aren't going to grow, you're just going to lose money and get no results."
"That's ABLEIST," they say. "How DARE you! Some people are LITERALLY paralyzed, did you think of that?"
"Well, yeah, some people are, and that means definitionally they can't lift weights," you explain. "And paying someone else doesn't change that. Maybe if they wanted to like, move something in their house it would make total sense to hire these guys! But if you hire them to do your workout you get nothing, because the purpose of a workout is personal development. I'm not morally condemning people who do it, but it seems like a waste of money when this event is, again, about improving one's personal abilities."
"This is absolutely DISGUSTING, CLASSIST rhetoric!" the gym owner roars, and then turns to one of the LIFT FOR HIRE guys, "Pay no attention this disgusting person, dear sponsor, we support your business and we totally want you to keep funding our gym!"
"Sponsor?" says your hot muscled friend who was way too busy actually doing their workout and getting gains to engage in dumb discourse. "Oh, now it makes sense."
"Shut up, you don't understand our love!" says the gym owner, before sloppily making out with a LIFT FOR HIRE guy in front of you.
Anyway, that's what learning about the whole AI nanowrimo controversy was like for me.

guess who just realized the novel they wrote was a mystery novel this whole time?
me. it was me. apparentally when a novel has a mystery being solved over the course of a book, that's a mystery novel. woopsie doopsie?
#nanowrimo#writeblr#writing#nano 2023#tussie-mussie#mystery novel#mystery#the real mystery is why i didin't realize i wrote a mystery from the start#sometimes i'm just a little dense#i can only imagine how realizing your novel is a mystery mid-way-through will affect the structure...

looks like i'm having my yearly second guessing my nanowrimo plot freakout several weeks early this year!!!
#usually this doesn't happen until mid-to-late october 🤪#i've been writing the various books for my crazy sci-fi novel series for nanowrimo since like. 2020 i think#but the other day i picked back up my magical realism novel that i wrote last year & haven't touched since jan 1st of this year apparently#and it's all making sense!!! i have a vision for it and i'm like. i should write draft 2 for nanowrimo this year#but the problem with that is i want to out-write my word count for last year. which was 113k or something#and this novel is not 113k words. so i'd have to work on something else too. which i could do!!!#but book 5 of my crazy sci-fi novel series would definitely be 113k words#i think i'm just burned out with my crazy sci-fi novel series. i've been rushing to finish my latest draft of book 1 before nanowrimo#eye dee kay we'll see#m.txt

Hey so why the fuck is NaNoWriMo's AI policy page talking like the challenge is about writing a book that you then go on to publish and not a challenge where writers throw caution and their sanity to the wind in the interest of getting a first draft out within 30 days?? Do people usually edit their NaNoWriMo novels while writing them? Do they send them off to friends or paid editors while writing for feedback and grammar/spelling checks? Do they immediately take what they wrote and start pitching it to publishing houses as soon as the clock hits midnight on December 1st??
I've never completed NaNoWriMo but I was always under the assumption that this is a fun challenge mostly for amature/indie writers that's about just finishing a draft of your story at all, it's not about trying to get a book completely finished and published within 30 days?? I mean just WRITING a first draft in that time is impressive, but pulling off also getting it all the way to store shelves in a month?? That's not just absurd it's fucking impossible. No one is doing that.
Like under classism they are saying not everyone can afford an editor...but who the fuck is sending any part of their novel off to an editor or reviewers mid write?? And for ableism, arguing that not everyone can "see" the issues in their writing...it's not about that?? Like Shannon Hale said, your first draft is shoveling sand into a bucket so later you can build castles, if you're worried about fixing errors mid-write you're never going to finish anything. Plus NaNo has never had requirements that your story be polished or edited or whatever, it's just about word count. And focusing on the indie writer scene and publishers??? Again, that's not the goal of this challenge???? You're just supposed to finish your first draft, everything else comes after. Even writers who do plan on trying to get their novels published are probably not sending their FIRST DRAFT that they wrote while sleep deprived over the course of 30 days to editors and agents?? Arguing that some people need AI to make a publishable, edited, polished novel is missing that the point of NaNoWriMo was never about writing something perfect the first try, it's about shoveling sand into buckets so LATER you can build castles. Or idk just shoveling sand into a bucket for the fun of it.
Like am I insane?? None of these arguments hold up for loads of reasons but specifically because if you are doing NaNoWriMo you do not need an editor or reviewers because your first draft is just supposed to exist, adding on the burden of taking that novel from first draft to polished and publishable while also just trying to finish it at all in 30 days is a fever dream, not an achievable aspiration. You don't have time to do that AND write. Hell, most writers in general will tell you to never edit as you go!! Where is this assumption that anyone is doing this to make money coming from?????
(And like, if you do want to go on to look for feedback/editing and try to publish your story and you feel like you need AI for that, you're wrong, but you can do that AFTER the event, that isn't something you need to do while it's happening. While it's happening all you need to do is write. The few times I tried NaNoWriMo I didn't even fix spelling errors as I wrote, I just wrote because all that mattered was the word count. I could worry about the rest later.)
I mean, I know that apparently the team got gutted and replaced which is probably why this shift happened, it's well documented that AI fanatics cannot conceptualize someone making art simply for the joy of creating rather than producing something they can sell for money, they legit see the process as secondary to the goal of getting rich which makes them incompatible with almost all artistic communities, because artists do what they do for the love of the process, not just to have a sellable final piece, but like christ alive I have never seen such a disconnect between what the people running a community think everyone is there for and the wants and needs of the actual people in that community.
Writers don't want AI to write our stories!! Take it from someone who grew up dirt poor and is disabled in a way that makes writing extremely difficult(dyslexia, adhd, hEDS, chronic migraines, fibromyalgia, ect.) I do not want AI to write any story for me. I want to write it. Beating a dead horse here but you are not defending poor or disabled people, you're using us as a meat shield so you can pretend your plagiarism and pollution machine is totally the future~ and take it from me, we're FUCKING sick of it.
From what I remember NaNoWriMo was never about making money for the people who took part, it was about sharing the joy of writing with other writers while tackling a huge challenge. This shift is bullshit for a lot of reasons but it's absolutely bullshit for misunderstanding what the hell drew people to the challenge in the first place.
#nanowrimo#I mean I dont even think your novel has to be readable it just has to be done??#what the fuck happened#long post

The Best of Both Worlds
Din Djarin x Female Reader Modern!AU
Summary: When a new Star Wars TV show called The Mandalorian premiered, you found yourself completely enamoured with the titular character. Enjoyment of watching the lone bounty hunter travel through the galaxy quickly turned to obsession. There was just something about the show that captured your imagination. Now, you spend much of your free time — when you're not working a fast-paced, minimum wage and incredibly stressful job at a prestigious London Museum— speaking to your online friends about your love for the show. There's just one thing... Despite how much you love The Mandalorian, no one knows the identity of the man behind the helmet... either in the show, or in real life. You only know him as Mando. No one has ever seen his face, no one knows his name. Even after the countless hours of speculation from fans online, which even you have occasionally participated in, no one is any the wiser to the identity of the mysterious man who wears the shiny armour. Surely, given the depth of your love for the show, you'd recognise if the man who you spend so much time obsessing over online was to ever cross paths with you. Right?
Content Warnings: Reader is AFAB, uses she/her pronouns and in her mid 20s. Age gap between her and Din is noted but not really central to the story. Grogu is human, hints of past trauma/child abuse before Din adopted him are mentioned but not described in detail. Some mature scenes later on in the fic but not explicit smut... because I just cannot write x reader smut! Author's Note: SO very excited to finally share this fic! Thank you to the lovely @suresnips for being my beta. I really appreciate you ♡ This baby was originally my NaNoWriMo 2023 project and was inspired by this post from @toxic-seduction that I saw one evening and couldn't stop thinking about! POVs will alternate chapter to chapter from Din to reader. It was fun to write that way! Set in London for a few reasons: partly because I love the movie Notting Hill and it has some of those vibes (if you squint), also, the village where Din lives is based on Elstree Studios just outside London, where the OT was filmed and ultimately because NO WAY was I writing a modern!AU set in the states, it would've been painfully obvious a Brit wrote it. While there are lots of references to places in London, I don't live there so it might not be truly accurate (Londoners don't come for me). Also, to be political for a sec, reader works at the British Museum and I hate that institution. This was actually the line of work I was interested in when I was at Uni but for many different reasons I did not pursue it. However, it works for the plot of this story and as you'll see, she doesn't exactly love it either and goes on a few rants. Just wanted to make that clear that her job there is not an endorsement of it or anything. I can't stand them or their historical apologist bs and I wish we would give back all the things we stole (including the Parthenon Marbles)! Finally, it was incredibly important to me that the actor behind Mando in this fic clearly be the fictional character of Din Djarin rather than the real person Pedro Pascal, because rpf is not my jam! I hope I did that pretty well but just wanted to warn that if you're expecting me to use Din as some kind of way to write a Pedro fic, this won't be for you! Okay, I'll shut up now! This fic is fully written, just needs editing so hopefully I'll get a couple of chapters up each week, but life happens. I'm very proud of this one and I really hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it! Also if you would like to be added to my taglist for this fic, please let me know! Happy reading ♡
❁ My Masterlist ❁ Read on AO3 ❁
Why Does It Always Rain On Me? [Reader POV]: After a dreadful day which saw you drenched by a rainstorm after leaving a hectic day at work, you reflect on your love for Mando and upcoming excitement for the sci-fi convention you will soon be attending with your internet best friend.
He Is My Only Priority [Din's Pov]: The character of The Mandalorian is known and loved by millions. But there is another, much softer side to the man who portrays him that Din Djarin is determined to keep hidden from the world, despite the challenges that presents for him and his beloved son, Grogu.
This Is Why (I Don't Leave The House) [Reader's POV]: Your internet bestie arrives in preparation for the Star Wars convention you will attend together. Everything is set for the greatest weekend of your life! Until you arrive at the con and find yourself overwhelmed by all the crowds and noise. At least you have numerous incredibly realistic Mando cosplays to distract you from how stressed you feel, and there's one in particular which is uncannily accurate...
Curiosity Killed The Cat [Din's POV]: Despite his reservations and against his better instincts, Din heads to a Star Wars convention that he was invited to. Although he fears that his cover will be blown, curiosity gets the best of Din and he can't resist attending a panel. But Din doesn't exactly find the answers he was looking for. Instead, he finds something far more precious. Something that he would never have expected...
He's So Tall (And Handsome As Hell) [Reader's POV]: Being back in the real world and returning to work after an incredible weekend at the convention where you had so many fun experiences is taking its toll on you. The thought of collapsing on your couch in front of The Mandalorian is the only thing keeping you going. However, the universe has other plans for you. News of an out-of-hours tour for a private client that you are asked to lead almost sends you over the edge, but when you finally meet the man, he is the opposite of what you were expecting. Weirdly, he seems familiar...
With A Little Help From My Friends [Din's POV]: Din returns to the set of The Mandalorian to begin filming a new season. Despite his experience and capability, he finds that he struggles to focus as his thoughts remain firmly fixed on a certain someone...
You're The Sunflower [Reader's POV]: Despite feeling certain that you'll never see the ridiculously handsome man you gave a tour of the museum to, a special delivery is about to change everything...
Your Face Hung Up High In The Gallery [Din's POV]: After a difficult few days of filming The Mandalorian, Din is excited to spend time with you as he finally takes you on your first proper date...
Have I Known You Twenty Seconds or Twenty Years? - (Reader's POV): Despite a messy evening which led to you waking up in an opulent hotel which you have no memory of falling asleep in, memories of kind brown eyes and breathless kisses soon come flooding back to soothe your soul. Your relationship deepens as the two of you spending time together whenever your busy schedules allow. But one night, a turn of events causes you - despite Din's reassurances - to wonder if everything you have been working so hard to build together has just come crashing down around you...
There's A War Inside Of Me - [Din's POV]: The realities of the secret he is keeping from you begin to weigh heavily on Din's mind and he seeks advice from a certain curly haired co-star on what his next move should be. Things don't go exactly according to plan, not least because of the typically awful English weather...
It Could Be Love, We Could Be The Way Forward - [Reader's POV]: With your respective busy jobs keeping you and Din apart, a mystery date after a hectic day at work is exactly what you needed.
The Calm - [Din's POV]: When filming overruns and conspires to keep Din from the fun weekend he planned for you, he agonises over his decision. Fortunately, he manages to salvage the weekend, even after a calamity involving a rowboat...
The Storm - [Reader's POV]: The happiness you feel in response to a question Din posed to you is somewhat clouded by lingering doubts. Yet your affection for each other helps you to push those emotions down, until a weekend spent at his cottage changes everything...
P.S. - I tried to be inclusive for all body types and skin tones in this fic, but if I missed something, I do apologise. If you do spot something that takes you out of the fic, I am more than happy for constructive criticism as I wouldn't want anyone to be excluded on those grounds. I am always trying to do better and would love to know where I went wrong so I can improve and be more aware of these things going forward, so I would appreciate it if you could let me know if you do spot anything. Thank you so much! ♡

Day sixteen of fic NaNoWriMo, obligatory sugar daddy Tim/sugar baby Kon AU.
TTK does, apparently, protect Kon from callouses, which Tim learns the hard way as Kon laces their fingers together and rubs his thumb across the back of Tim’s hand. His skin is so much softer than it should be, Tim thinks accusingly. Couldn't he at least have the decency to have chapped hands? Sweaty palms or something, even?
Unfortunately, what Kon has is soft, warm, strong hands whose fingers lace easily through Tim's own, and Tim just has to deal with that somehow, apparently. Apparently that's just his problem now.
Bastard.
Tim needs to not melt into an incoherent pile of mush, so he just acts like this is fine and normal and normal and fine and walks into the store with Kon and leads him over to the phones. Kon seems smugly pleased. Tim pretends to not be an incoherent pile of mush.
It doesn't particularly work, but he at least puts in the effort.
“Any preferences?” he asks, tugging Kon towards the closest display.
“For a phone?” Kon says. “Not really. I mean, whatever works.”
Tim is going to take full advantage of that “whatever”, he immediately promises himself. Full and total and complete.
“Okay,” he agrees, then starts looking at the high-end models. No point in going cheap, though he's definitely going to make sure to pick a durable brand with the least possible degree of planned obsolescence involved. If it comes to it, he'll either upgrade one or build Kon something outright later, but for now the standard retail models are gonna have to do.
“Uh,” Kon says, cocking his head with a bemused expression and then gesturing towards the wall with his half-empty smoothie cup. Tim is perfectly normal about the fact that they're still holding hands. All kinds of it. Completely and totally. “The burners are over there, man.”
“Why would I get you a prepaid phone?” Tim asks, making a point of putting on a skeptical expression. “Most of those models don't even have a decent camera.”
“That is a nine hundred dollar smartphone that you are currently looking at,” Kon says incredulously.
“Given your powerset involves the ability to decide to make anything you're touching invulnerable, I'm not particularly concerned about you breaking it,” Tim replies reasonably. “Like, are you even capable of dropping things?”
“Technically no, but I still fight supervillains on the daily, dude,” Kon says.
“Then I'll spring for the accident insurance,” Tim replies reasonably. “I'd have to come back to buy you a new burner anyway, so it's just easier all around if you can duck in and pick up a replacement without needing to wait for me.”
“It is nine hundred dollars,” Kon says.
“There's an eight hundred dollar model, if you don't mind a little less memory,” Tim says.
“The burners are like, twenty bucks,” Kon says. “And you don’t need to sign up for a plan or anything.”
“Yes, but if you run out of minutes or break it, you’ll need me to come reload or replace it,” Tim says. “This way you can do it yourself and you can talk as much as you want.”
“How much exactly are you expecting to want to talk to me, man?” Kon says with a self-deprecating little laugh. Tim thinks vicious thoughts, makes room for a few more spaces on his supervillain vengeance list, and then just shrugs.
“Up to you,” he says. “I mean, I have school and extracurricular stuff, but that only fills up so much of the day, you know?”
“You cannot possibly have researched me thoroughly enough to be that sure we’re gonna get along,” Kon says, frowning faintly at the phones.
“You’re seriously underestimating my capacity for research,” Tim informs him, taking a sip of his smoothie. “Also I’m really just going on how well we’ve been getting along so far.”
“Oh,” Kon says, and his face flushes again. “Uh . . . okay.”
“How about this one?” Tim suggests, tipping his head towards one of the mid-range models. Decent brand and sturdy build, but not quite as expensive.
“That’s still five hundred bucks,” Kon says.
“I am intending to spend a lot more than five hundred bucks on you today,” Tim says. “And anyway, five hundred bucks for both our conveniences is a small price to pay, don’t you think?”
“I guess,” Kon says, glancing towards him for a moment before looking back to the phones. “Um . . . maybe, then. If you’re–sure.”
“I’m sure,” Tim says firmly. “Seriously, I’m not texting you on your work phone, that’s a terrible idea.”
“If you say so, man,” Kon says, ducking his head a little like he’s trying to hide his smile. It’d work better if he weren’t taller than him, probably.
The bastard is still holding his hand, so it’s only fair, Tim figures.
God, since when is Kon this cute, anyway? He's always annoyingly hot, obviously–leaning more strongly towards the “annoying”, for obvious reasons–but he isn't usually cute. Tim wasn't prepared for that. He hasn't had the time to build up the necessary defenses against it.
“I say so,” Tim says. “What color do you want?”
“You're a very weird dude, you know,” Kon says with a little laugh, shaking his head.

Baby, you'll never find a love like mine. <3 (The Sea Prince; art and updates as of August)
what's this? pearleo content? for the majorwood fanfic? yep! just had the motivation to do this piece, and it's been a while since I updated y'all with art and the goings on, especially as act one wraps up soon!
anyway, to new peeps i'll leave the link to the fic below the pic, and i'll have some updates down below if interested! thank you for your time, have the slow slowburn that is pearleo <3
hooo boy, its been a while! i'll keep this update short and sweet since, if i say anything more, it might be a spoiler? i still want to keep things all nice and quiet for a few things coming up ;>
first and foremost, act one is coming to a close this october 18th! i know this since i plotted it out + i do want it to end on my birthday, ehe! act two is steadily working away (currently writing up chapter 6, hoping to get into gear for writing when nanowrimo hits + during my break from college, which is right now!) with current plans of it being either mid-november to early january for its scheduled release. its exciting!
and as act two is making its progress, i do want to have another call for beta readers! the ones that served me for act one have been great, but i do ask for more consistent and easy to communicate ones- i don't want to name anyone, but i don't like getting ghosted for months on end, aha-!
my good co-writer/editor @mewhoismyself and i are doing our best to give y'all the quality <3 its been really fun, and i hope to continue improving my craft as act one reaches its high point, and for act two to set the scene for another year-long journey <3

What the fuck, NaNo???????
this is a long post, buckle up.
Okay, if you haven't heard anything about NaNoWriMo's statement about the use of AI in writing, I am both jealous of you and here to ruin that for you.
The folks over at National Novel Writing Month have released a statement (which you can read here) that explicitly says that being Anti-genAI is classist and ableist. My gut reaction is that this is a fucking asinine take -- poor and disabled people have been writing for longer than we've even had the electricity that powers AI -- but the more I think about it, the angrier I get about the anti-community sentiment that they seem to be pushing.
The claims that are made in this statement are either non-issues or something that AI does not actually fix. Yeah, not everyone can afford to hire an editor, but that is a large part of why writing communities exist both in-person and online. Exchange works with a friend and help each other out, find a discord server and ask there. Make use of a writing community. The same thing applies to ableism; Yeah, we all have different abilities and not everyone can "see" what might need improvement. So you share your work with another writer and get feedback from your community. Writing is a skill that needs to be honed and in order to do that, you have to be okay with being bad at it sometimes.
I'm not even sure I can say much about their "General access" paragraph because, like... AI is not going to fix the systemic issues with the publishing industry. It just won't. That entire paragraph gets half-way to a point and then falls on its ass into the void.
As if I wasn't angry enough, NaNoWriMo edited the statement about 8 hours ago to say "Note: we have edited this post by adding this paragraph to reflect our acknowledgment that there are bad actors in the AI space who are doing harm to writers and who are acting unethically."
This makes me want to throw my computer out a fucking window. Using AI in writing or any other art is inherently unethical because the language models being used are trained on works by people who did not consent to their work being used to train said AI. It is theft. It is plagiarism. Plain and simple. Chat-GPT was trained using the entirety of the New York Times archive, so when you use Chat-GPT, what it produces is based off of the work of NYT journalists (read about the resulting lawsuit here). It's not that there are "bad actors", the programs themselves are built on stealing writing. We've known this for what feels like ages now. This is such a bullshit edit and a fucking sad attempt at saving their asses.
I am someone that doesn't even use Grammarly anymore because they literally market themselves as an AI writing assistant and I'm not willing to risk my entire degree for an application that can't even handle vernacular and dialect and makes mid suggestions at best. Genuinely fuck off and block me if you support the use of AI in writing. Also, my block button is rated E for Everyone and I will use it liberally if anyone comes into my notes supporting genAI. Unless I am feel particularly combative, then you will feel the full weight of my academic and creative integrity. You have been warned.

Not much in the way of painting for November - instead, most of my free time went into the sort of offbrand unaffiliated NaNoWriMo that I did instead. With the writing I'd done before I'm now at something like a 65000 word manuscript - my goal is to finish it by the time I get back from beijing in mid january.
The painting, then, was four test tanks for Legions Imperialis. I don't have a picture of all four of them together but let's be real, the other two look exactly like the ones pictured. I have a scheme I like so in the new year will be carrying on with those.
Next month, I have some Assault Intercessors and a kitbashed character on my paint table, and my goal is to get them done for the end of the year. That will probably be it, but if not it's the LI stuff or possibly a pair of full-sized rhinos I need to get done before too long.

Almost a third of my way into my thirties Life is flying by faster than a gale or a breeze I’ve spent more of my income than I’ll admit on scented Febreeze Much of my life is made of mundane They say to try again with the same outcome is insane Yet, to practice makes perfect and habits are routine that way I should have more; but be happy with less For how little I own, my room is a mess Me as a homeowner is anyone’s guess Third of my way through my life Married to two jobs but no sign of a wife Too many hobbies, too few children, no house, plenty strife Median age is actually seventy-seven I’m ready for a mid-life crisis, seven minutes in heaven Be in bed three hours before eleven What little money made, is counted in change I’ll never be penniless with luck, oxidized strange Greenhorn from Green Trails, gave it all up – what a Faustian exchange Gone are the thunderclaps, the fireflies, green skies Sirens, like God’s trumpets and lies Both taught me to kneel, on my own had to heal after many a tries Will two-thirds be as favorable Of my thirties and my life, if I am able To endure and live and thrive and love just like Clark Gable
