I hate all of Laura’s love interest.

like she doesn’t know who she is at the time she’s with hellion and it feels like she’s only with him because she’s obsessed with the person that saved her when no one else has and feels like she owes him something.

Cyclops/warren was just off and it didn’t make sense. Like Laura was available to be a love interest so she’s there but she just got fresh out of avengers arena and she’s just latching onto to anything that makes her forget about what happened. Like neither of those boys really understood her, neither did the writers in that time tbh.

She’s literally a prop for synch, like I don’t know much about his character outside of Laura because they made his whole personality trait that fucking vault in this era of X-men. Which in turn makes that Talon!Laura’s only personality trait and it’s so dumb because they were only together because they were the only two people next to each other for like 1000 years or whatever.

Her creators intended for her to be a lesbian and when she interacts with women characters you can totally see that connection. I think she shouldn’t be in any romantic relationship for a while and then they can start writing her a proper relationship, hopefully with a woman. (I like jubilee personally but it doesn’t even have to be her). So yeah I think the goal for Laura’s character should be kill talon and let wolverine!laura be her own person!

Hate? I won’t hate you for having an opinion, everyone has a right to one and I’m happy you have one :D especially if it’s your opinion not purely someone else’s (not to say it can’t align with someone else but it’s yours as in your not just mindlessly repeating someone if that makes sense…). And typically there is a little truth in both sides. Even in the times I’ve disagreed with people it has made me question things. Like for example my conversation with elmhat about c!Quackity prompted me to ask the question: why do I see him as unempathic and find no sympathy for him? Was he not betrayed? Was he not hurt? Was he not discriminated against and overlooked? Why is it that I can be so against him when some of the same things I sympathize with Dream on happened with Quackity. Which then spurred my research into Antisocial Personality Disorder (disorder relating to psychopaths and sociopaths) and Audience Perception. So even if I disagree or dislike what you have to say, I’m not going to hate you for it, and it’ll likely make me question why I think differently, often spurring my dive into lore where I usually find other fun things.

She is not a radical person and her continual alignment with transmedicalism (even if it’s sometimes wishy washy or whatever) is particularly off-putting. This is not a mere difference of opinion but a fundamental disagreement about how we conceptualise trans people, what our political and social goals are, and who we align ourselves with. I don’t have much respect or time for people who frame our existence as a medical oddity and beg for ontological legitimacy from the medical establishment. Trans people are not science experiments who exist only by the grace of cis scientists claiming we can be empirically proven in a lab somewhere. Transmeds are not our allies!

I don’t keep up with all of her particular opinions because I don’t follow her closely any longer, but I find the company she keeps and the way she talks about trans people as a group unhelpful at the best of times

okay i finally started the interview with the vampire show and holy fucking shit. i’m floored at how fucking phenomenal it was. jacob anderson’s louis is just on another fucking level. like his whole backstory and his family is just a million times better, like obviously because he’s not a fucking slave owner like the movie, and also because it means so much more that he has a family with their own agency that he truly cares for. he’s infinitely more likeable and infinitely more relatable in a way where it’s easy for the audience to connect with him. also i had no idea how actually gay this show is? like where louis just comes out and says it?!? and the scene with louis, lestat, and lilly ?!? like i knew this adaptation was going to be gay but i’m so glad they went full throttle no holding back in a way i definitely didn’t expect from an adaptation. and let me fucking tell you as someone who was raised catholic™ the confession scene really shook me to me core, and then the whole end scene at the church (minus the head punch thing cause like wtf) was just absolute fucking cinema. i cannot get over how impressed i was just by this episode i can’t wait to watch the rest.
