Hazbin Hotel Episode 1-4 Hot Takes! ~

They finally dropped. They are finally here, and I have A LOT to say. (Good & the bad, my opinions of course.)

Episode 1 was kinda boring and it just seemed overall weird and off. It didn't really pick back up that well, or align with the pilot too much, and the pilot slapped.

I feel like for those who haven't seen the pilot would be so confused with what is going on or who the characters even are. It feels like you also have to do a bit of digging to actually figure out other details.

I wasn't expecting to like Adam he was funny asf and I loved his singing. Love Alex Brightman he's great.

I can see what people are saying now when they were talking about the premise changing or being different, it definitely seems that way. It just feels like it's all over the place and there's multiple things happening at once. A bit confusing.

Charlie just looks weird to me I don't know why, I kinda like how she used to look.

Sir Pentious new voice is better. Again, love Alex Brightman. Lol.

Loser, Baby, Hell is forever, Poison, & Respectless are the best songs so far. Stayed Gone is ok too tho.

I'm interested in finding out why Lilith & Alastor were gone for like 7 years. I wonder where they went and it just makes me wonder if the war against heaven was possibly planned?? 🤔

I love Brandon Roger's but I didn't really like him as Katie Killjoy I think I liked the other VA. I just don't hear Katie, I hear Bryce Tankthrust.

I wish Vivzie designed Sir Pentious with more of a steampunk look since that's what era he's from so he's not wearing almost the same exact suit every other Overlord has.

Nifty is literally fucking iconic. I enjoyed her every time she was on screen even if it was for a short time. She's so funny.

I was expecting Vox & Valentino to have deeper voices but they still sounded great.

Velvette fucking ATE I was pleasantly surprised by her. I love her so much. She's my favorite of the VVV's and her singing is so good.

Charlie & Vaggie's fight wasn't that impactful, it kinda just came out of nowhere and seemed like something that should have happened way later. It didn't even seem like such a big deal either to be an argument.

I don't really like Vox as a person for letting Valentino treat Angel Dust the way he does. Just trash. He has to know about it.

Vox is just too obsessed with Alastor. He wants his cock soooo bad it's kinda crazy. It's the most fakest beef ever. Bad meat.

I like the new VA's they're amazing, but I do really miss the old ones. Most of them.

I think Vaggie's singing is better than Charlie's and that's fucked up because singing is like her whole thing.

Camilla killing the Angel wasn't that impactful because we don't really know who she is.

I don't really care to know how they will be trying to redeem people...idk I always thought that those parts would be boring.

Honestly if we get Adam as a Sinner, I can see him being redeemed because of one detail: “he was the first human soul in Heaven”. Because Adam was not the first human to die: that was Abel, his son, killed by his brother Cain, who was then cursed with immortality, all because of Eve being infected with Evil by Lilith and Lucifer. To note that in spite of his attitude, Adam has some legitimate beef, and seeing him reunite with his son in Hell might be enough.

Adam and Eve were created mortals. Their bodies are susceptible to natural death. They can die. Before the fall, Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden did not possess the “living forever” attached to the tree of life; hence they were mortal beings.

Adam becoming a sinner can be possible because sinning causes the downfall of mortals.

“Thus, human death is a result of sin.” And I have one solid proof of Adam sinning in the series…

people so often interpret sazed as taako’s ex, which like, to each their own obviously, nothing wrong with that, but i think its so so much more interesting to interpret him as taako’s apprentice instead. and like all we have to go on is that he really looked up to taako who sort of taught him how to cook. “thought taako hung the moon and stars” or something like that iirc. which brings so much more depth to taako’s relationship with angus if sazed was to taako then what angus is to taako now, someone who idolized him and saw him as a mentor.

it puts some of the conversations taako’s had with angus into really interesting context. like the fact that the first person taako’s (ever?) told about what happened at glamour springs (which he didnt know at the time, but was sazed’s fault) is angus. does he tell angus because he doesn’t want him to be betrayed (like he assumes sazed was, since he ran away)? or because he doesn’t want angus learning from someone so clearly unfit to be a mentor (both since he was unfit to be sazed’s, because he was dismissive to him, and because he believes himself to be a murderer)? he teaches angus magic and cooking. when he implies that angus might become as or more skilled than him he jokes about striking him down. which is exactly what he did to sazed when he wanted equal share.

but taako redeems himself with angus. he mistreats angus in the beginning, bullying him and dismissing him and generally being a dick, but as angus becomes taako’s apprentice, he’s more open and a little nicer. still “open” and “nice” in his own way, but definitely more than he was before. learning from his mistake, letting angus in and being encouraging and honest in the way he wasn’t with sazed.

Now, Cate. I done told y'all she was the mole and now look. I mean do I still love her? Absolutely. Do I think she is a victim of Dean Shetty's manipulations? 100%. Do I believe she thought she was protecting her friends? Yup. But do I also think Andre was right somewhat in what he said? Yeah, kinda do. Listen, with all the good intentions in the world the fact that she repeatedly made Luke forget about his baby brother when she knew the type of turmoil it was causing in him is twisted. The same way she was going to confess to Andre before the text came is the same way she should have confessed to Luke. Granted I think the reason she was even going to confess to Andre was because of how wrong things were going. But still, she ain't right for that..

So, I see three possible avenues they might take with her: first, kill her off at the end of the season in order to redeem herself to her friends; second, she could become an antagonist to the group (tho this is less likely); or third, she may act as a double agent and spy back on shetty so they can find out what's really going on..

Jordan Li. My beloved. My baby boy/baby girl. I can understand why they thought Marie couldn't accept both sides of them and I'm so glad they explored a bit more into their character's history. But baby, Marie wants to love on you no matter what your gender so just let her!!! At least they got to a point where they realised they were being unfair to Marie over the whole situation though, so hopefully episode 6 will have them talking about it properly. Alsooooo, Jordan getting pissed when Marie's brain was tampered with again? Good fucking food. Jordan moving closer to Marie at Cate's reveal? She is yet to go unhinged and I would like to see it, especially if it's in relation to something happening to Jordan.

I mean you know its real when one half of the pairing's mind has been wiped and still there is an undeniable connection between them.The fact that Sam went out of his way to find Emma after all the shit that went down??? Ooof, I'm living for itttt. The fact that even though Emma hadn't gotten back her memories she still believed him? Don't make me cryyyyy. I loved how Emma realised how wrong her mother was about her "getting big" & how she's beginning to carve out who she wants to be for herself. Also, her and Marie's friendship is honestly just goals.

So after reading this ☝️for the who knows how many time, when an idea or something just popped out. Now we all know that in this magnificent fandom(dpxdc) that Amity is a no go area right? pov (AU): Lilith kidnaps Sophia to make Alastor and Lucifer pay, but then becomes attached to Sophia.

yes, it's the only thing I've managed to do these weeks. with the end of school I don't even have time to breathe.

My THEORY about LILITH (damn just read it)

these days I stopped to analyze the figure of Lilith a little, both through what little the series offers us, and through various mythological stories. this is my theory, then it might not be congruent with Lilith from the TV series, but I think Lilith is not bad. sure, she abandoned Charlie for seven years, she never spoke again, but in my opinion there is a deeper reason. In the first episode, during the presentation she says "her dream didn't go away" or something like that. I suppose she really cared about hell, like Charlie said. her dream of redeeming sinners, of protecting hell, could also be linked to her separation with Lucifer; he probably thought that heaven had killed her or would have hurt her if she had tried to fight back against Adam. Lucifer was probably so afraid of losing Lilith and Charlie that he forbade her to save hell from extermination (?). we also know that Lilith is an independent woman and does not submit to anyone, perhaps she separated from Lucifer also for this reason, perhaps he tried to submit her when she saw that she had taken too much power. whatever it is, I don't hope for the theory that Lilith left because she got tired of Lucifer and his impotence in the face of extermination, it would make her look really, really bad. certainly the extermination had something to do with their separation, and in my opinion, as another theory, that conversation that Lucifer had with heaven in which he supported the extermination of sinners also had something to do with it. Lilith may have felt disappointed in Lucifer, they may have broken up because of that.

theory on why Lilith is in heaven, well, I think she would never have left hell, where she was the queen and had power over everything, to go to heaven, the place where they had thrown her and Lucifer into the darkness. she definitely tried to stop the extermination somehow, maybe she talked to Adam, and for the sake of both Charlie and hell, she left. another theory of mine is that she wanted Charlie to save hell from extermination, perhaps to make her stronger, to bring out her determination, to give her the visibility she deserves idk. I'm still sure that for whatever reason she did it, it was for the sake of hell. Of course, if Adam had wanted to cheat her to have her back in paradise near him, she would have killed him herself, in my opinion she would have had no more scruples about it. I'm just sorry that I keep reading everywhere that Lilith is considered an antagonist, in my opinion she is just a complex and mysterious character whose evolution we have to wait for. but fuck Viv, please don't make Lilith bad. I love her character in every way, in my opinion Lilith will be an absurd material girl. but if they do badly next season I'll scream. well, these were my thoughts, and yes, the drawing is crap but not that I had who knows how much time.

Aaravos hesitates before crumbling Viren which is the funniest shit to me. This hurts more though, having seen the whole season.

I find the framing of this pretty interesting. Viren is still in the dark while Claudia is standing in the light. You'd think it'd be the other way around. Perhaps it symbolizes how he has come to terms with his dark side, and is going to face it. While he leaves Claudia who, hopefully, can still be redeemed. Because ultimately this isn't her fault, it's his. He's the dark one.

At first I thought it was cruel for Viren to leave Claudia, but I've come to a realization. Claudia is better off without him. He is the reason she's done all this, and nothing will change if she keeps having to save him. She needs to let go. I'm not sure if this was intentional on Viren's part, but he made the right choice nonetheless.

Man, what is it with this show and blindfolds? So far they have showed up in Harrow's little flashback speech, on the Celestial elves, and here. Is this anything??

I was expecting to be annoyed by the baitlings' presence in this season, but they didn't actually get in the way much. Glad the writers read the room. They were mostly just used to fill the comic relief void that soren has left.

Also, I love how Jason Simpson still managed to weasel his way into the High Council through Barius, since Viren isn't exactly, yk, in that position.

Ok, I think there is something to be done with Jake and his crew and his dynamic with Peter and Hook. Like for example how do the kids feel that Peter is only here for a day or a few hours, just enough to help with their issue? I'm sure the kids have a bit of an unhealthy attachment to him as he's really the only guardian figure they know, and as shown in Peter Pan's return, they all crave his attention so bad that they fuck up the mission trying to impress him! Like sure they can call him to bring him back to Neverland, but they don't perhaps he implemented a rule that they can only call him for emergencies. Which is also kinda hm. But you know he doesn't completely neglect them.

Now let's take this a step deeper; what about Peter's relationship with them individually, it's clear he has a favorite, and it's Jake like that isn't a contest. Even if the show tries not to portray it in that manner it's obvious (I mean for fuck sake his name is in the title lol). His item(s)? A wooden sword personally hand-carved by Peter himself. After completing the Forever Quest, a golden sword called the Destiny Sword (towards the end of season 3) turns him into Captain Jake after giving the others a rousing speech about teamwork and how they can all get together to defeat Fathom with it. So it's clear he's the chosen (I'll touch more on that pressure later) by Neverland. But what does that mean for Izzy and Cubby? I mean sure they got items from him and he does care about them, but they're not as special as Jake. And they're never going to be, I mean god, Disney didn't even bother to make them Birthday episodes yet gave Jake two, then gave Skully and a minor character one. So it could develop into them realizing that while they are well-liked they aren't loved by Peter, Cubby is in denial about this revelation as he has gotten more gifts than Izzy. Izzy, the only girl in the main cast, is grated by this knowledge, she KNOWS and she has known for a long time. Enough to the point where perhaps she deserves a villain arc (then a redeemed villain arc) with the help of Captain Hook, who sees this opportunity to manipulate her for his gain.

Ok so jumping, let's go back to that Captain Jake issue. I personally didn't like Season 4, I thought it was shit BUT this new Captain Jake in a reboot could bring up an interesting little angst point called, "The pressure of being forced to be THE responsible one when you're only still a child." You might have all these other well-established Captains around you but, they depend on you to think of ideas, and come up with solutions to save the day, if you fail then it's on you but you're only 8 or 10 years old!!! A user mentioned this before but Jake could develop an entirely new personality as a Captain to make himself seem smarter and more capable than he actually is! This can go two ways A) he burns out and he burns out REAL bad and rather fast. B) The apple doesn't fall far from the tree, and the realization of how much power he holds makes him realize he can almost do whatever he wants because he IS the 2nd most powerful person after Peter. This then comes his Power-tripping arc and the consequences of Peter not dividing this power between the trio, and being gassed up everyone, which raises his ego through the roof. This can only end badly obv and it does, how? idk but just know it does.

As for Captain Hook, because this is New Disney he can't be 100% back to his OG self but he can absolutely be raised to be more of an asshole in a Disney channel show and probably a bit fucked up. But you also would have to thread carefully on how you do these things, because one wrong move and Disney will have you rewrite the whole thing and tone it down more than need be. I also think there would be more to explore with the kids and their dynamic with him, since they also would have more nuance to them. They could have more stakes with him, and could honestly do more messed up shit with them he could make them have an inner conflict, he could manipulate one to join his side temporarily. Put the kids in more life-threatening situations that they don't come out unscathed from. Hell, you know what, I want him to win some episodes and get his way with Jake and his crew being powerless to stop it. It would teach a lesson that some days, you just can't win, someone who is nasty will win and get away with it and you have to be ok with that! (if you have resourced all your options first) Life will not always go your way. As for him and Red Jessica, show a toxic relationship, I mean come on do you REALLY think she has a thing for hook lol, it was shoehorned Hetero-shipping bait and it worked now can we do something else with it? As for smee, sharky and bones? I guess they can be less friendly to the sea pups, it would be more of a loyalty thing rather than a personal thing.

Also, the show could bring back the lost boys, to make the island seem less empty than it is, and maybe a different set of kids to replace the Native Americans.

Finally, to end this word vomit, the relationship between the kids. I really beg it be explored more. Now don't get me wrong they can have a wholesome and loving bond but not everything has to be peachy-keen. Like sure Jake is their captain but do they, not envy or resent him in some way? For example, they're all bright but Izzy is shown to be the brightest she has more knowledge about Neverland and its artifacts, so why is she not captain? Is it because she isn't naive enough? She isn't as nice or forgiving as Jake? She has no issue snapping at you when she's fed up? Then there's cubby, does he even have the real guts to be cut up for this type of thing? The classic "why him and not me?" type of deal. Then there's Cubby, does he hate being just stuck as coconut boy by his peers and other pirates? Will he ever break out of his shell, does he have a breaking point with his friends? Then Jake gets annoyed that they're not as in sync as they once were, he kinda hates that they're developing on their own and steadily gaining more and more independence. They're willing to talk back to him, be rude, and do less trio activities. Which leads to more conflicting ideas, possibly fights, and less "what I say goes!". He is scared of them changing and becoming their own individuals, he's scared that they might be growing up.

Sorry this is so so so long and rambly, I just have a lot to say about a reboot for this show that I cannot help myself.

“I don’t have dimples!” Sinu complains, poking the sides of his cheek roughly. He preens in the mirror for a bit, plucking at the side of his mouth with a frown. His hands brush stray strands of hair out of his eye every couple seconds.

You lounge on the sofa nearby, eyes glued to your phone. His grumbling rings in the back of your ears, and you shake your head.

“What’s that got to do with anything?” You ask. Sinu turns from the mirror, making a show of dramatically slouching towards you and flopping on the sofa. He pouts his lips and nuzzles into your stomach.

“Dimples are really in nowadays. Y’know… with those young kids and stuff-!” His voice is muffled in your shirt and tinted with some unfamiliar accent.

You resist rolling your eyes for the time being. Stroking his freshly-washed hair, you lean to press a kiss on his head. You sigh, “You kinda are a young kid, Sinu. You’re like— eighteen? Nineteen?”

He lets out a strangled groan and looks up at you. His dark eye sparkles. You catch sight of the goofy smile that spreads across his face. “Nah. I’m getting old.”

You roll your eyes and return your gaze to your phone. Sinu buries his face into your stomach once again. You stay that way for a while.

He scrolls on Newtube himself, eyes scouring the screen filled with attractive people. A diverse collection of strangers and videos wind up on his jumbled feed. That doesn’t matter though. He watches the things with the highest views. The videos everyone is fawning over. (He gets distracted by a couple cute dog videos which he sends to you. But anyway-)

Dimples. He sees a lot of them. The comments that flash on his screen ringing words of “he’s so hot” and “she’s gorgeous” only solidify his argument.

He should get dimples. Probably. You’re bound to love him.

Actually, Sinu isn’t self-conscious by default. He’s been told he’s good looking. He thanks the people showering him with compliments and winks. Ever since he lost his eye, though, he senses his handsomeness meter has depleted. He needs some redeeming trait. Something that calls attention away from his eye… just a little. Of course you’ve never even hinted that you find him imperfections unattractive. Sinu’s just… not the best at reading the room sometimes.

“That’s freaking expensive!” Sinu hollers, staring down at his phone in horror. A plastic surgery add flashes on the screen. Dimple surgery. He blinks in awe.

“What’s ‘freaking expensive’?” You ask, crawling onto the couch beside your boyfriend. Sinu hides his phone screen from you. He aggressively wraps his arm around your shoulders as a distraction. You don’t buy it.

“Ah… just stuff,” Sinu sighs. “I didn’t know you were here.”

His attempts to dance around the subject began to tire you out. You cupped his face and stroked your thumb across his cheeks. “C’mon Sinu. What is it?

He turns his phone screen towards you and flashes a sheepish grin. “Dimple surgery…?”

You stare at his screen for a while before signing. You lay down on his chest and wrap your arms under his. He places a hand against the small of your back.

“You know Sinu I don’t think you need it.”

You look up at him genuinely. His reply is only a soft smile. You close your eyes. The thought of Sinu changing at all is… bizarre— and anyways, you thought his smile was attractive enough on its own.

“You’ve never been trendy anyways…” you mumble.

Sinu laughs. “Cuz I’m a trendsetter.”

“Oh god…”

Needless to say… he didn’t really care for getting dimples anymore.

My JJK theories & opinions part 2! (I'm sure more are scattered across this blog but whatever)

-all that it took for Yuuji to come back when Sukuna took over (at the detention center) was for Megumi to talk to him. Yuuji was stressed, in pain and alone. When he stopped fronting, he dissociated and wasn't watching for his time to come back. Fushiguro calling to him made Yuuji feel safe enough to come back. I'm not sure if this would work on anyone else Sukuna possesses, as Yuuji is a perfect vessel. but we see the same thing happen when Gojo calls to Geto, even if it is only muscle memory and his soul is not there.

-Gojo didn't suggest at all that Yuuji might have a cursed technique (it is weird that he didn't see curses before, but also weird that they didn't look into his ancestry) bc to let Yuuji hear that would be to let Sukuna know and combine that with his own techniques. BUT ALSO Yuuji jumping through the 4th floor window, before eating the fingie?? Gojo & Fushiguro might have known about his mother's.

-Haibara and Yu are related. Brothers or cousins or something idk! They have different last names but I always thought this and I cannot stop myself from believing it. Also bc Nanami worked closely with both of them. I feel like it's his way of redeeming himself, or he feels responsible for Ino because he knew Haibara.

× Geto could have come back even after Kenjaku stole his body!! If sukuna could replace yuuji's heart, then someone could replace Geto's brain, even if it is Yuta or Sukuna. Geto could STILL come back..... If Yuta removed the brain. We know bodies that have been obliterated can come back to life with Kenjaku's technique, enough to CARRY A FULL HEALTHY PREGNANCY.

-Gojo AND YUTA killed the higher ups. We thought it was Yuta bc of the Katana slash. Yuta was JUST telling Gojo to stop being the monster by himself. And Gojo's techniques don't leave slashes - they could look like Inumaki or Rika's (so I didn't suspect Gojo before, and I'm still wondering what yuta was talking about when he told inumaki that he had a job for him). So idk who among them is responsible, but it's at least Yuta.

-kenjaku killed megumi's mother. He could not let the ten shadows user have a good childhood. Also why did tsumiki's mother disappear?? Sus.

-I like to imagine that Hiromi Higuruma is fine. I think he's still alive but!! If he has passed on then he can become like an afterlife judge and send people back or not let them haunt.

Right. I've played with casting a bit over the past few years but the gist is this: Ted dies, as he is so prone to do, but Tinky thinks up a fun new game he can play with this timeline's Ted (torturing him by making him think he's in Heaven even though he's in the Box/Black and White). So Ted wakes up in an office, gets told by this goat looking office guy he's in The Good Place, and he can spend the rest of eternity in total bliss because he was just that extraordinary.

At first he's thinking "man the bar is low but also i was just that fuckin' cool so I'm not gonna say anything" but the longer he hangs out with sniggles and other Teds that are pretending to be way better than they actually are, mans gonna break and tell someone he doesn't belong.

uhhh this is where the casting gets a bit muddled for me. Linda as Tahani feels like a no-brainer to me, and I always thought it would be a little funny if Paul 23 and Emdroid were Jason and Janet but that's not concrete, it's just silly. The character playing Chidi's whole "helping Ted improve" role changes sometimes. Usually I picture Bill, but lately I've been considering something that would objectively torture Ted more: Jenny.

Anyway, I don't think Tinky would fully redeem himself like Michael does, but he'd still let the humans get rebooted/fight back as part of the game, only to get frustrated when they all actually improve in the new timeline (sidenote: instead of the episode where Eleanor calls out her mom for her shitty childhood and tries to get her to be better to her new stepdaughter, I'm kinda picturing Ted going to visit a freshly graduated and recently moved to college Pete to try to repair any damage he might have caused to their relationship through his sleazeball tendencies in the first timeline).

Very interested to know what made it seem like Feng Xin didn’t love the present Jian Lan. He couldn’t seem to let her go. Though I do agree that Jian Lan has completely moved on

I agree that he didn't want to let her go, but I don't think it's because he still loved her--to me, it's pretty clearly about his sense of guilt that he wasn't there to take care of her.

There's also the fact that he didn't recognize her the first time he saw her, and even when she's without her heavy makeup, he's still not exactly... idk. Kind?

But words got stuck in his throat, because before when Jian Lan was Lan Chang and covered herself in heavy makeup, looking like a wench, he really didn’t recognize her. It couldn’t be helped. Feng Xin still looked exactly the same as he did once upon a time, but Jian Lan’s transformation truly was too great. Looks, makeup, manners, speech, class…even if her blood parents were to stand before her they might not recognize their precious daughter. Feng Xin was astonished. “…It’s you. It really is you. It has to be you! …I thought you married, and were living well. How did you…how did you become this way…” (Chapter 141)

It's reminiscent of the way he refused to let Xie Lian do certain jobs in Book 4 because he thought it wasn't suitable for someone of his status; while I think it's going too far to say that he's classist, I do think that he expects a certain standard from the people close to him. Also evidenced by the fact that his relationship with Jian Lan involved him wanting to get her out of the brothel. Even then, he wasn't willing to meet her where she was and accept what had happened to her, which I think paints their love story in a different light.

In Feng Xin's words: “But I was never annoyed with you! I wanted to redeem you!” (Chapter 214)

He's the "I can fix her" meme. Which wouldn't even be so bad if it wasn't contrasted against Hua Cheng loving the worst parts of Xie Lian and still accepting him. Feng Xin doesn't do that with Jian Lan, so his love feels contingent on her changing.

Which is incidentally how he feels about Cuocuo, too:

“Can you really take him for your own son?” “As long as it can return to the right path, how can I not?”

Once again, it's conditional. He doesn't accept Cuocuo unless he can become something else.

Also in Chapter 214, you have Jian Lan berating him for not fulfilling his duties as a father: "

“How? Isn’t it because of you?! ‘It’s the father’s fault for only raising without educating’ , if it wasn’t for you slacking off on your duty as the father, would your own son have been dug out from his mother’s womb to be made into something like this?"

I always like this line because it shows they're both meant to be educated enough to understand Confucian ideals, and even as far as she's fallen, Jian Lan still throws this back at him. So when Feng Xin asks her to stay, he doesn't even mention loving her--he only mentions feeling obligated:

“Come…come back,” Feng Xin begged, “I’m still…sigh, I still feel I, I…I want to take care of both of you. I should take care of both of you. I have a duty, I’ve promised you.”

Notice the hesitations, too. He's stuttering worse than Mu Qing and "f-f-friends" here, which casts the "I want to take care of both of you" under some serious doubt, imo.

And besides all that, I think it's just the fact that he doesn't seem happy to see her at any point! His behavior around her is anxious and stressed. When she leaves him in his palace, he's emotionally drained. He's the type to laugh out loud at jokes and sing when he's happy, but she just leaves him feeling anxious and depressed--which is partly because of what happened to her, but I also don't see any evidence that he's excited to see the love of his life again.

Charles blinked, and then blinked a second time. 

Max hated him, that was just how things went. Sure, their hatred looked a lot different these days - masked behind paddle matches and carefully planned PR stunts - but they were, and always would be, rivals. So when he’d fallen for Max, years ago, he’d felt like a fucking idiot for it. He’d kicked it aside, expecting it to go away, but it never had.

When Max yelled that he loved him in the heat of the moment he thought he was being mocked. Had the Dutchman read his diaries? Had he peered inside his dreams? Charles hadn’t even admitted his feelings to his closest friends, so how Max had gotten hold of that information to throw back in his face in the cruellest of ways he didn’t know. 

It hadn’t even crossed his mind that it might not have come from a place of malice. He hadn’t even considered that Max could love him back.

Max, the three time World Champion, who could have anyone he wanted, liked him?! It was a ludicrous statement. 

It wasn’t like Charles was insecure. He knew he was relatively good looking, he knew he could be funny at times, he knew on a good day he could drive hard and stick the latest shitbox Ferrari had given him on pole. He had his redeeming qualities, but redeeming enough for Max to overlook their long standing rivalry and fall in love right back?

Obviously it wasn’t impossible - Charles had fallen for him in the first place after all - but it seemed unlikely.

He hadn’t spoken for a while, and he could see that it was playing on Max’s mind. He wasn’t worried about his feelings being unrequited by the look on his face, more impatient with the fact that Charles still seemed to be processing it. Maybe he was a brick. 

Before he could say anything, though, he felt the lapels of his shirt being grabbed and his body being held in place as Max closed the gap between them hurriedly. Charles felt their teeth clash together as Max kissed him, and unsurprisingly the gesture was just as passionate and fiery as he was on the track. He kissed back, though with far less fervour as his confused mind tried to understand exactly what was happening.

Moments ago they’d been arguing, and now Max was pushing his tongue into his mouth. He thought it was entirely fair to be at least a little perplexed by how events had unfolded.

Max’s hands dropped from his shirt, seemingly when he was sure that Charles wasn’t going to do anything stupid (like pull back) and they dropped lower. One hand rested on his waist, the other dipped down to grab a handful of his ass. Much like his kiss, the hold was firm, but Charles couldn’t find it within himself to protest. 

Eventually, regrettably, Charles had to pull back. The kiss had caught him off guard and as they separated - a strand of saliva remaining between their lips - he panted for air. 

“Alright, well you’re not a brick,” Max said flatly, and Charles felt a breath escape him. “Bricks don’t kiss back, in my experience.”

“You’ve kissed bricks?” Charles asked, raising an eyebrow. Now it was Max’s turn to laugh.

“A couple. You weren’t picking up any of my hints, I had to kiss something.”

-When you jump out and scare him, Chipp lets out a hilariously high-pitched yelp that’s totally out of character for a ninja. He immediately leaps back, hands in defensive position, ready to fight invisible enemies.

-After realizing it’s just you, Chipp tries to play it cool, laughing awkwardly. He straightens up, striking a ninja pose, but you can tell he’s still a little shaken. “I-I wasn’t scared, just testing my reflexes!”

- Chipp will never admit he was actually scared, even though his heart is racing. He might even challenge you to a mock sparring session to redeem himself, claiming it was all part of his master plan.

-After the initial embarrassment wears off, Chipp gets competitive. "You think that was funny, huh? Well, just wait! I’m gonna get you back tenfold!" You’ve officially sparked a prank war with him.

-Jack-O’s unpredictable nature makes scaring her a bit of a gamble. There’s a 50/50 chance she either won’t react at all or will have a huge reaction that surprises even you.

- If you manage to catch Jack-O' off guard, her reaction is pure chaos. She might jump and flail her arms, accidentally knocking over anything nearby, shouting something strange like, "WHO LET THE PETS LOOSE?!"

- After the initial shock, Jack-O’ bursts into uncontrollable laughter. She finds the whole situation hilarious and isn’t mad at all. In fact, she’s quite impressed with your ability to catch her off guard.

-Rather than getting upset, Jack-O’ plays along with the scare. She starts pretending to act terrified of you in an exaggerated way, "Oh nooo, please don't spook me again, scary one! I’m so frightened!" as she twirls around in a playful panic.

-Jack-O' gets inspired by your prank and decides to take things to the next level. She'll start plotting her own bizarre pranks, blending her chaotic energy with elaborate schemes. Be prepared for things to get weirder!

because... hear me out

i feel like something time related might be well... related to alastor. this is because whenever he gets in this form his eyes start ticking and almost counting down like a clock.

my first thought was it could be with the exterminations but apparently those are cancelled (i think this is bs but whatever).

so maybe it has something to do with his deal. he might be on a time limit of some sort thats causing him to either wait, or get something done in a certain amount of time.

what? idk but here are a few ideas (that are obviously varying in authenticity/realism bc we dont know who owns alastors soul/who he made a deal with)

He could have been sent to destroy the hotel/sabotage it within a certain date and or time. This would make probably the most sense as he appears for no reason, but then we woudl have to address the fact that why? this would probably be to deter faith from the sinners. But once again Sir Pentious was redeemed so this theory would have some kinks in it

Once again his plan could relate to the extermination because well time and the extermination is basically just one big ass clock. But these were supposedly cancelled which honestly... I'm calling bs on this because this would just make the exterminations more justified in a way so yeah. So i think his plan could have something to do with the extermination

There could be a certain date of which he plans to do something. Like maybe something like a blood moon or whatever.

Going back to the thought that he might have a time limit. He might have a certain amount of time to do something like take Lucifer down or whatever. As it seems like he doesn't like him

Obviously I don't have a lot to work with in this theory so yeah. These are my only ideas but feel free to add your own :)
