oh i need to get my bitchass to bed because brat tamer!izana ughhbdhehensbsbgdfdhdb…he’s so condescending and mean, absolutely purposefully pisses you off so you keep snapping back at him, aka giving him an excuse to make your punishment last longer and be even more cruel,,,,,hwgwhwjwhshagsbsh he just does not give a FUCK if you fry and beg he will laugh at ur dumbass uHgGRGgGffGgGfFr i’m falling down the stairs.
izana as a brat tamer is just … you’re so right about the condescending part, because that what he is . . he looks you in the eye, makes sure you’re at a comfortable level with him and asks you so gently if you really want to do this , are you willing to test his limits — and when you continue with your bratting, izana is more than happy to rectify that . . i see him as the type to tease and torture . . to break you down psychologically and physically — swirling your clit lightly between harsh cunny slaps, denying you the feeling you truly crave , and god forbid you start to feel sorry for yourself, begging for him to let up ..
“what? we were barely getting started..”

So I'm replaying Ray's After ending rn, and it got me thinking that what I adore so much about Rika as an antagonist is just how damn scary she can be. I always found those who cause harm with good intentions (at least in their point of view) much scarier than those who hurt you with pure intention on hurting you. I think the best example of it is this CG in particular:
Look at that. Such a loving, gentle expression on her face. Probably kissing his forehead. Because she loves him. Heck, without any context, this CG looks even sweet, if you think about it. And yet, all that is while Saeyoung is forcefully sedated on a powerful concoction of drugs even a trained agent like him can't do anything about (and Saeyoung WAS definitely trained to deal with this sort of thing, hence it's mentioned that this is a 'special' kind of drugs). He looks miserable. Bags under his eyes, his expression pained and troubled, even his hair is paler than usual. All that as a direct result of her actions. But she's utterly blind to it. What's scarier, is that she knowingly shuts off her understanding of what's really happening. She's not oblivious to it at all. She just chooses not to see it that way. Simply because she doesn't want to.
Rika is the type of antagonist that will cup your cheek into her warm hand with the most loving of smiles on her face, all while you are getting elixir poured down your throat. Even whispering to you that you're doing great, that the pain will soon pass, and that she can't wait to see you reach the happiness she knows you deserve. I won't be surprised if she even cried genuine tears of compassion during some ceremonies for her believers. All while being the sole reason behind their suffering.
And that's... God, that's terrifying to me. I love that about her.
Rika Kim, they could never make me hate you

Thinking about the way that John Gaius went from being an avid anti-capitalist, environmentalist, and humanist; the only person left in existence who may have been able to keep Earth and all of her children alive through the coming apocalypse and had the drive to keep working on saving the world even when it seemed hopeless, no matter what obstacles were thrown his way... To becoming not only the person who pulled the trigger to personally kill the Earth and everyone left on it, but also becoming the god-king of a colonialist murdering empire of his own making, killing every planet that crosses his path? I'm chewing through my power cable and it's gonna make me short circuit

as someone who has not read DOTC (and treasures my sanity too much to read it) i cannot fathom how people read clear sky as a hero, hes even written with the descriptions the erins love to give their villains! prowling, sneaking up behind people to say ominous lines, standing partially in darkness, having an utterly pathetic lackey kissing his ass at all times, even the territory expansion thing was like, explicitly bad when tigerstar did it in arc 1. i'm convinced these people havent actually read this arc??
It's because, I CANNOT make this up, he says sorry after he kills 3 people and causes the death of like a dozen at this big Murder Party he throws. A bunch of ghosts say he was just scared, Gray Wing swoons that he simply needs to learn how to delegate, and then Clear Sky says "haha woops :P"
After that, everyone who ever says, "Hey, I don't trust the physically abusive dictator or his intentions" is treated like an unreasonable idiot, a simple personality conflict, or an active villain. Thunder literally gets revictimized and undergoes emotional abuse a SECOND time and Gray Wing gets a scene screaming at him to get the fuck over it.
These WOULD be interesting characters if this was intentional, if the writers had gotten their heads out of Gray Wing's brother-loving ass to realize that Clear Sky is not redeemable. Gray is denying reality and letting people get hurt so he can cling to a beloved memory, and it doesn't matter if it was accurate then, because he's KILLING PEOPLE NOW.
But the arc is bullheaded in its simplicity: Clear Sky was not born bad, so he is not fundamentally bad. Unlike Slash and One Eye, evil through and through.
It's painful. Incredibly painful arc.

I don't think Marc was lying at all when saying that podium meant a lot. I mean that is also instinct on his part where he is in the race to go foe the win no matter what. But when the adrenaline falls down and he is genuinely very happy for sharing the podium with his brother.
Remember pre-honda 2020 team he said it was his dream to race alongside Alex and share podiums.
that’s not what i said he was lying about!! check the tags like i agree with you. of COURSE he’s over the moon about sharing a podium with alex of course he is. he loves álex sososososo much it’s obvious he’s obsessed with that guy, and i think this outcome IS the situation where he’s happiest outside of actually winning the damn thing. but what EYE was saying. is that i still think if you actually and for real gave him the choice to trade brotherpodium for his first win in THREE YEARS. he’s probably choosing the win

andrew really waited for his rehab to be done to see if he still cared about neil as much, realised he did, and as soon as they were reunited, he gave him a copy of his car keys, started letting him take passenger seat, told him he was a pipe dream. my bro knew how bad he had it for neil and commited to the bit

My favorite bit of costume design from the live action promo has GOT to be Usopp with the sick coat and the more standard pirate Captain’s hat. And maybe I’m just reading too much into it, but not only does Jacob look damn good in that outfit, it also feels so incredibly fitting to Usopp’s character. Specially this very early days Usopp, who is still only ‘playing pirate’. The Usopp who’s still idealizing the journey ahead, just a little bit, and still kind of wants to be the Captain or Co-Captain, just a little bit. An Usopp with the potential to live up to those big dreams of adventures, but still needs time to ground himself and mature and grow into his own identity. Who, for now, is only dressing and acting the way pirates are expected to dress and act. I am charmed and heart-eyed and I cant wait to see this Usopp in action.
