TOMMY. HE REMINDS ME. OF TOMMY.#i played pacifist but i saw how if u kill every1 n spare Papyrus Sans tells him every1 else is on a vacation bc truth would be too hard#file under: lies Gordon would tell Tommy if anything happened to Sunkist or his dad Gman#we wanna protect Tommy but on the other hand. the horrors r everywhere & Tommy go ham with a gun (he's terrified & acting on pure instinct)#(even tho Tommy has definitely faced his share of horrors in contrast to how Papyrus's loved ones try to shelter him from bloodshed)#i wanna write a paper psychoanalyzing Sans and Benrey in comparison to each other SOOOOO badly#it's been a hot minute since i last watched hlvrai (have seen it at least 4 times but not recently. did watch bbvrai live tho!)#im so extremely tired rn so i can't form proper thoughts :( but like:#they both have unfathomable otherworldly power and knowledge of their respective universes#but u wouldn't know it bc they're presented as just some chill guy who likes to make jokes and Vibe man#sike! they're a being of elderitch levels of power#they both act in accordance to game code but Sans can control parts of it (can see the timeline) while Benrey is much more subject to it#in some ways they are the antithesis of each other's motives but also contain the same vibes (all-powerful guy laidback n funny final boss)#Sans is judgment but doesn't interfere with the timeline. Benrey takes action that's “i knew this was gonna happen”#Benrey is fought as the final villain whereas Sans is arguably the final hero fight#anyways THEIR VIBES ARE BOTH SO !!!!!!!!!!!!!#idk if they'd be besties or mortal enemies#they can bond over being “unserious” (but they both take their true jobs very seriously. security guard and judgment bringer respectively)

@forgettable-au Babybones Fancomic ✨
“Keep Reading” for the rest :3 (10 Pages)

*deep breath*
you hear that?
thats the sound of AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
ok. I spent. 31 Hours of my life on this. And i dont regret. a GODAMN thing.
i will go on, but first, A N A L Y S I S
PAGE 1
The title “Radio Star” comes from the song “Video Killed The Radio Star” by The Buggles. Its lyrics I believe are absolutely perfect for this AU, Examples being “Rewritten by machine and new technology” , “We hear the playback and it seemed so long ago” , and “We cant rewind we’ve gone too far”
The title also refers to how…1, they build a radio-
and 2, Sans calls Papyrus a Star at Grillbys if you call him “uncool”
PAGE 2
Nothing to note
PAGE 3
This is the first real scene I had in mind. The entire concept came from me imagining how Sans’ memories of Wingdings got overwritten, so where in memories he’d call Wingdings by his name, he calls him Papyrus.
In an animation with audio, itd be like “Aw cmon, P A P Y R U S” and be a silly little jumpscare.
Buttttt then ofc the idea turned into a thing where I couldn’t shape it into a “fake” memory.
I wanted to play with their characters as they WERE not how they remember them being.
PAGE 4
Nothing
PAGE 5
As they travel to the barrier, Wingdings is leading, and COMPLETELY focused on his goal. Ignoring Gerson (social interaction) while Sans takes his time and looks around getting “distracted”. This exemplifies the nature of their relationship.
Them in Hotland, they’re actually right next to the lab. Taking the elevator the guards were…guarding. So Sans is looking at the lab like “hey. Hey wingdings, look, look at that building, thats so cool”
PAGE 6
At the bottom is just another example of Wingdings being deadset on his goal, while Sans is helping out but still stopping to smell the flowers
PAGE 7
This panel makes me so happy-
It works??? vs It works!!!
Wingdings doesn’t come across as the kind of guy to doubt himself, I just think he’d be shocked at himself regardless that he pulled this off. Meanwhile Sans is just thrilled 😭
PAGE 8
N/A
PAGE 9
Oh boy this is the finale of explanation.
This conversation that Asgore and Sans have. Is REALLY important to me
Asgore/everyone that isnt sans, cannot understand Wingdings. So, Sans is talking for him. It may come across as him taking all the glory or whatever, but NO. look at his dialogue boxes! they’re not blocking out WD, and he’s like “YEAH 😊 MY BROTHERS SO FUCKING COOL”
Meanwhile Asgores boxes are completely blocking WD out. He thinks Sans built it cause hes doing all the explaining, and Sans isnt getting the hint that Asgore THINKS THAT HE MADE IT its a whole thing
Wingdings appreciates Sans, but he doesn’t appreciate people thinking he did all the work-
Asgores dialogue box when asking “How did you build such a thing??” is covering Wingdings, and he’s looking at SANS. he’s asking Sans how he built it, meanwhile Sans, still not getting the clue, is looking at wingdings like “:) cmon bro, tell him, you know ill translate for you!”
PAGE 10
Sans then understands at least that Wingdings does not want to indulge this- and goes into explaining mode, as hes done it so many times before-
Sans saying “You cant understand him” instead of something like “his font is hard to understand” is important because he is putting the “blame” on you. He’s fully aware this is something Wingdings WISHES he could change about himself so badly, so he just kinda naturally changes his tone which I find really fun when writing dialogue :3
This comic, I feel is an example of how much this AU/comic series means to me-
As much as I obsess over and LOVE comics as a medium, this is the first ever I have ever properly finished. ofc there have been like 2 page ones, but YEAH this is the first BIG one i have ever finished in my entire life.
These characters- as much as they’re Tobys, they are also Sunsestarts in my opinion. The situation they are put in of JUST the font trouble alone is something i’m SO fascinated by and clearly- had the time of my LIFE writing and playing with. And thats ignoring all the other shit that happens BECAUSE of that.
Undertale is special, The Forgettable AU is SPECIAL- THESE SKELETONS ARE SPECIAL
Im on the edge of my seat waiting to see what happens next because I know whatever it is, its gonna be special
also, I made this while listening to Slipping Through My Fingers on repeat. I regret nothing
((ALSO I HIGHLY RECOMMEND TIME/SPACE BY ALEX G, ITS A GREAT SONG IM DEFINITELY GONNA STORYBOARD A FORGETTABLE AMV TO CAUSE ITS REALLY REALLY GOOD, ID TOTALLY TIE IT TO THIS COMIC- BUT ITS MORE FOR PAPYRUS AND GASTER INTERACTIONS RATHER THAN BABYBONES???)

SO on period UT,UF,US,HT!
Ive had this sitting in my notes for awhile wasn't super proud of it still ain't but I wanted to post something, I just had to slap the HT brothers on and boom new post.
Also I've been wanting to write swapfell but I don't know the difference between that and fellswap or really their personalities cause it's so different for each fanfic so if someone could pls explain 🙏
Anyways here y'all go hope you enjoy!
Undertale:
Sans:
I feel like sans is pretty knowledgeable so you didn't have to explain it to him. He takes it pretty maturely it's a natural part of life. The puns the horrible puns. He has so many specifically for this time of the month. He's always got your comfort snack on hand in his jacket pockets. He doesn't really change much he'll get off his ass if you ask him to but he sticks by your side mostly and lazes out cuddled with you while watching shows. Pretty good at getting products and snacks you might like he likes to get you some new snacks to try with him and he's good at guessing what you might like.
Papyrus:
This man is prepared. After you tell him what it is he researches it and WOWIE he wishes he just asked you to explain but now he's over prepared with knowledge! He has hot water bottles and weighted blankets at the ready. Any snacks you want, heck you want a whole meal? He's on it and it's prepared with extra love. He carries around your products for you and always has pain medicine in his bags. Pretty good at picking them up from the store too and has no shame getting them.
Underfell:
Red:
You gotta explain it to him and this man is bewildered for a bit. ya bleed from there for how long??? every month?! He's a little impressed?? Last he checked humans weren't supposed to lose huge amounts of blood but you're treating it like it's a normal thing. After he gets over his initial shock he'll try and help the best he can which is a little awkwardly. He makes a little nest for you out of blankets and pillows and makes sure you're comfortable. He and his magic run warm so he'll lay on your stomach and cuddle to help with cramps, pet his head and he might purr. He's pretty confused about products def one to send Babe what's your pussy size.
Edge:
He's aware, he's done his research on his own when you were ovulating about the human "mating cycle". Not a fun experience but he takes it in stride. He listens to what you need and trys to deliver. Massages for sore muscles and heating pads for cramps. He'll make you comfort food while you relax watching a show and join you afterwards for some cuddles. He's pretty good at getting products for you and takes the ones you like into consideration but he's always looking for better healthier alternatives for you.
Underswap:
Stretch:
Knows about it (blue taught him when he found out and Stretch showed interest in humans)and is a little awkward(traumatized from the talk with Blue). Hate to say it Stretch doesn't really know what to do he's not grossed out he just doesn't know how to handle it. He tries his best to be comforting giving snacks, heating pads, and cuddles. He's so awkward going to the store to get products plays it cool but has no idea what he's doing and definitely gets the wrong thing after his mind blanks while staring at all the products for too long. You just gotta train him he'll get better.
Blue:
Also knows and he's handling it alot better. He takes it in stride and understands the biggest part is you're uncomfortable and he's going to do his best to help with that. He takes care of chores you don't want to do, makes you comfort meals, and always has a heating pad ready. Has so many two player comfort games lined up for you guys, he has stuff to do but most of his work stuff can be done at home! Which means he'll just be a shout away if you need anything . Pretty good at getting products and is one to carry some around in his bag just in case when you guys go out.
HorrorTale:
Axe:
You have to explain it to him… Multiple times. He's confused as to why you smell like blood, he likes the smell but he's confused for a bit until he writes a note about it. He will not remember which products to get unfortunately. He's so confused staring at them you'll have to instruct him very clearly over a call and he still probably grabs the wrong one. Cuddles are supreme he's a giant so he'll engulf you in his form and his purrs practically shake your whole body. It's like a free massage chair whenever you want. He sticks closer by your side during this time of month knowing blood means your wounded and his protective urges flare up.
Willow:
You'll also have to explain it to him and he's extremely worried when he smells blood. Even more so when he learns how long you bleed, he knows how much blood a human can loose and it worries him you're losing so much. After you explain it's a normal thing and a part of life he calms down slightly. He cleans and cooks a lot when stressed or worried so you constantly have something to munch on and you don't have to worry about any chores. He stays over stocked up on supplies, he doesn't like going out in public very often but for this he will because he deems it important enough. It's why he stocks up so much when he goes out. Mother hens over you hard and you might have to pull him into cuddles to get him to relax for a bit.

Any analysis of how Undertale deals with Pacifism and how it tries to guide the Player towards it has to take a deep look at Papyrus. Because Papyrus is the one character in the game who will never kill, the one actual ‘True Pacifist’ in the game’s main cast.
I mean, the Player can be an even bigger Pacifist. Papyrus does still FIGHT, and the Player can get through an entire run without draining a single sliver of HP. But… they can also be the world’s biggest murderbastard and literally stab reality to death.
Toriel would very much like to not kill, but she is also fully capable of doing so.
Same with Asgore, but he has a lot more actual blood on his hands. Undyne and Mettaton are both fully 100% willing to kill to accomplish their goals. Sans is non-violent in most runs because he’s too lazy and depressed to do anything, and when he is motivated into actions - it is in the form of a FIGHT to the death. Alphys… the timeline is a bit fuzzy cause both she and Mettaton love lying so much, but it seems like she did sincerely add deadly weapons to Mettaton cause killing humans would make him more 'useful' and then had second thoughts once she developed a parasocial relationship with the Human Child and THEN she and Mettaton started hatching their little play-acting plan. I think??
With Papyrus there is NONE of this ambiguity, we know for sure - no matter what timeline or what may come - The Great Papyrus will always choose MERCY.
And the interesting thing about that is on a Meta-Sense, Papyrus is a very rare example of the game giving MERCY towards the Player.
Because the game starts out being really obtuse with the Sparing mechanic and how it works. If you want to be a Pacifist in Undertale from the get-go, you’re gonna have to work for it. You're gonna have to figure it out on your own and commit to it and believe that it's possible. It's basically a test of your own belief in non-violence and your moral integrity. Then, the RUINS end with the Toriel boss battle - in a way, that’s probably the hardest Sparing puzzle in the whole game. And it’s very very easy to accidentally kill her. (I’d almost say that’s the intention of the battle, to try to goad the Player into Resetting so they can see how the game remembers across RESETs)
And then we have Papyrus, and it’s not just that his ‘Sparing Puzzle’ is something as simple as outlasting him and letting him run out of dialogue - and it’s not just that he’s the only boss that will just give up and let you continue if you lose to him enough times. it’s also that, just as Papyrus is the only boss incapable of accidentally killing the Player - he’s also the only boss that the player is incapable of accidentally killing.
(Okay, fine, to be pedantic, there’s also Asgore)
I mean, the Player can certainly kill him if they want to - but draining Papyrus’s HP just makes him skip through his battle dialogue right to the end of it. It’s designed in such a way that, no matter what Route you're on and no matter what approach you take with Papyrus - you will always end up on this screen.
Unlike basically any other Monster in this game, including the major boss battle just before him - you can’t kill Papyrus accidently. You can't kill him without also having Sparing him as an option. The game kinda treats killing Papyrus as one of the Worst Things You Can Do because killing Papyrus will always be a deliberate, considered action done to a person who will not kill you and who has stopped wanting to FIGHT and has extended a hand of Mercy. With the game clearly communicating what you need to do to Spare him at that moment.
And that means that - even if you killed before, even if you don’t have the patience of a True Pacifist, even if you spent all this time in the game without even trying to engage with the Sparing mechanic… as long as you don’t want to be a Huge Rat Bastard, the game is basically gifting you with the very very easy option to not be. Being a Pacifist in Undertale is usually a challenge - a puzzle to be solved, a test to pass. But as long as you aren’t intentionally trying to be the Worst Person - the game is basically giving you Papyrus.
If you accept his Mercy, you are accepting the game’s Mercy. That sort of benefit-of-the-doubt assumption that maybe all of the LOVE you might have accumulated so far was all due to honest mistakes or panic or an attempt in self-defense. That you still deserve this one chance to prove that you are not intentionally, maliciously cruel - or at least not like the Worst Person in the World. Even if you did kill before, you still deserve at least one friend.
And Sparing Papyrus leads you to his wonderful Hangout/Dating Sequence and to his Phone Calls and they all add so much wholesome charm to the Undertale experience and no matter what happens Papyrus will always think the best of the Player and he will always trust them and it also makes Sans also kinda your buddy by default. And more than just adding a little bit of wholesome charm into even the more LOVE-filled Playthroughs, I think this is meant to try and incentivize these players into trying out the Mercy mechanic a bit more.
Whatever it’s, like, for future playthroughs or Resetting the game right there to try a True Pacifist Run right there and then or just trying to be a little kinder for the rest of this current playthrough - especially since there’s an emphasis about the close friendship Papyrus has with the upcoming boss Undyne, and to a lesser extent with his idol and next-next boss battle Mettaton. It’s like “well, if you didn’t figure out how to spare before, this is how you do it? And isn’t it nice to have a friend? Isn’t it nice to not have to kill this lovable skeleton man? You should do this more often wink wink nudge nudge!”
And it’s like… all of Papyrus’ loved ones care about him so much but they also look down on his pacifism. They see his inability to kill and desire to make friends as simple naivete and that’s why all tend to hide the truth from him all the time. About what will happen to the Human he will capture, about what his new Human friend might’ve done, about the fact that they view him as so naïve.
They admire it on some level, that’s why they want to protect it, but they also see it as a weakness which is why they want to protect it by lying to him all the time. But, you know, Undyne says that if Papyrus goes into battle he’ll be ‘ripped into little smiling shreds’ and that is certainly what happens every time a Player chooses to refuse Papyrus’ Mercy and the game’s Mercy and press that FIGHT button…
But have you thought about all the times that doesn’t happen? All the careless or violent players who were offered that skeletal hand of friendship, accepted it and then carried that offered kindness forward for the rest of the game? All the players motivated to do good for the sake of their buddy Papyrus? All the Murder Routes stopped because the player just didn’t have it in them to kill someone who believes in them so earnestly?
Like, no, it’s not a surefire thing - especially since Papyrus has so much less narrative power than the Actual Unkillable Time God that is the Player. But it happened, and it happened many many times to many players. Papyrus offered Mercy, the game offered Mercy. And much like Frisk’s Pacifism, it comes from a place of seeing the honest goodness in your ‘enemy’ and can inspire them to become a better person - this little sparkle of goodness being passed forwards.
And I think that’s beautiful, even if it didn’t happen in every timeline. Any potential future where Papyrus’ kindness can have such an effect on the Player and thus the entire trajectory of the Underground validates his kindness and pacifism on some level - even if there are also always the potential worlds that it backfires completely.
And there’s also one other way in which the Great Papyrus Proves Pacifism Pays. One that is a bit more practical, perhaps. And one that Papyrus himself is not even aware of.
Papyrus’ boss battle can be a surprisingly challenging one specifically because he is the only one who doesn’t kill the Player.
Like there is a reason why Papyrus will just offer you to skip his Fight after you lose to him three times, because if he didn’t do that - there’s an honest risk that the Player can get stuck in a much stuckier way than anywhere else in the game.
Because, like, for basically any other character in the game, being killed is the Worst Thing that could ever happen to them. For everyone except the actual Player Character because we are an Actual Unkillable Time God and dying is nothing more than a minor annoyance that sets you back to your last SAVE Point. So, leaving aside Papyrus’ admirably kind intentions - there is not much material difference from the Player’s perspective between getting Captured and getting a more traditional GAME OVER. Except…
Except getting Captured does not undo everything that happened in your inventory during the battle. In every other Undertale battle, if you use all of your items but still lose - the GAME OVER at least means you get your stuff back. But because Papyrus doesn’t kill you, any healing item you’ve used during the battle is still used. I have watched so many Undertale Let’s Players waste all of their valuable items on their first Papyrus battle and then have to face him again without them and thus do even worse in their second go… and then their third go... and thankfully then Papyrus offers them to skip the fight.
And while that technically can be circumvented by just manually closing the game and opening it back again on their pre-battle SAVE Point, a lot of players are gonna reflexively Save over it if they pop over to the Shop or the Snowed Inn before their second attempt at the battle. If Papyrus didn’t offer that chance to skip his battle, it could’ve easily become a softlock situation for a huge chunk of players - because he doesn’t kill the Player.
Most of Undertale deals with the value of non-violence from a standpoint of morality and kindness and personal connections. Since most people do die when they get killed. But when dealing with an Unkillable Time God like the Player, Papyrus proves that not-killing might actually be the most practical solution.
Of course, it doesn’t seem like Papyrus is aware of any of this. From his perspective, he is just offering genuine mercy to a being just as ephemeral as he is. But it accidentally turned into one of the most effective methods of blocking the Player’s way… at least he didn’t offer us an opt out so soon after that.
And it’s interesting when comparing him to how his brother Sans - one of the few people actually aware of the existence of SAVEs and RESETs - deals with the Player. Because the Sans boss battle at the end of the Murder Route is entirely based on the concept that death is nothing but an annoyance to the Player. Sans is less trying to kill the Player (the way Undyne the Undying did), he is simply trying to annoy the Player into a ragequit. But he is still killing the Player.
Now imagine a Sans battle where he has all of his usual annoying tricks, but also instead of killing you - he captures you just like his brother would’ve in a happier timeline. And while it’s not a fool-proof plan to stop the Player in their tracks - he could very easily stick them in that sort of softlock situation where they have to battle him again and again without any Healing Items. Forcing them to either abandon the game or RESET the whole world back the way it was - just like Sans wants them too.
But instead, by killing the Player, he is just allowing that perfect second-third-fourth-fifth-sixth-try where they get all of their Stuff back. And he does actually knows that. And why doesn’t he do that? (Speaking here from an in-universe character study perspective. Obviously the Doylist answer is that the game doesn’t want to Softlock you even in the most deliberately-frustrating part of the game).
Maybe, even though he intellectually knows that killing the Player will be of no help - he still does it because he wants to. Because he just wants to get back at the evil murderous monster that took his brother from him and destroyed his entire world even if he knows it’s actually ineffective. And this thirst for bloodshed is, ironically, blinding him from a new exciting way to actually practically stop that murderous bastard who is themself motivated entirely by bloodshed.
Maybe he just can’t do something like that. Reducing an enemy to exactly one HP and then stopping is not a feat anyone else in the game is capable of pulling off - even the ones who would obviously use such a thing (like Toriel or a Player with a Pacifist intentions). Maybe it’s something that requires a lot of hard practice and discipline and carefulness, that Sans never thought to put in because he didn’t see it as a useful skill the way Papyrus did.
Maybe that wouldn’t have worked anyways. After all, and that’s something I kinda touched on in a previous Overly Long Rambly Hot Take - Sans’ War of Attrition against the Player is greatly helped by the fact he can’t remember every single previous try and so he can’t get exhausted the way the Player can get. Obviously, without a GAME OVER induced RESET that will not apply. Which is especially notable because… Sans’ laziness is literally what brings him down at the end of that Boss Battle.
So maybe, while Papyrus, as long as you decline his offer to skip the battle, is capable of offering just the same Battle as before over and over and over again.... It’s possible that Sans just won’t be able to pull off two or three or more battles of the same intensity and difficulty in a row without a RESET to undo his own exhaustion.
But I think it’s at least worth considering the option, y’know? That after all this time of viewing Papyrus’ kindness as sweet-and-yet-kinda-foolish-naïveté - that exact viewpoint made Sans overlook the perfect solution to dealing with his little Murderous Time God problem. Cause he just never considered that while killing might be fully morally justifiable in this situation and very very satisfying, that does not necessarily mean it is actually the most practical solution. And that maybe, in a weirdly twisted way, Pacifism WAS the answer.

GAHDGSSG, Sorry for yapping so much (but idk I feel good talking abt TS with u-), but aaaaa I watched the ruthless and evacuation routes (I think that's what they're called) and aa. That's so sad, djgdjdgsgd. Poor harry and Larry !!! They didn't deserve this 😭
Also kinda sad we don't have more of Koffin-k, I hope we'll see him again in ruthless in the next updates (even if this probally won't happend)
But that's still so cool but so saaaaad, papyrus thinking cross bones is ded but he escaped ! And it's sans and not cross bones in evacuation route, that's awesomeeee !
But yeah, ruthless is so sad aaaaaaaaaaaaa
OMG PLEASE YAP AS MUCH AS YOU WANT!!! I mean I'M gonna start yapping??? I LOVE HEARING FROM OTHERS HOW COOL TS!US IS CUZ IT JUST IS!!!!
Ok so spoiler warning... Those routes (YES that's what they're called!! Cool names tbh) are INSANE! I think I was even more scared then during OG Undertale Geno?? The fight with Asgore, the RUINED knights!!? The whole of Ruined home!! It's so tragic?? It actually hurts, the way the monsters visibly hide and run away from you caught me so off guard... Also THAT ECHO FLOWER MESSAGE WHAT- 😭😭
Don't even get me started on the isles tho.... Ughhhghhgh..... The interactions with the characters, crossbones, Papyrus HARRY AND LARRY OH MY GOODNESS!!? It's wrong it's so so wrong, the comic relief guys should NEVER be in this kind of situation!?? Chara started to SCARE ME, and Crossbones going around trying to get the monsters away from us, WATCHING as they hid and how we hunted them all down... The way Muffets spiders tried to protect her...
I'm actually REALLY HOPING Koffin doesn't show up in Routhless anymore... I don't think it'd be... A very happy scene... Harry and Larry... Ohh boy... First time I ran away, I saw them go up and Flowey told me I had a choice and I RAN I was actually scared of what I would do... Got the sans fight instead... Which kind of leads me to believe that he... Sees it. Crossbones knows if u killed the Boogie men. Which is honestly so messed up.
AND ROUTHLESS ROUTE OMG!!? Another soul crushing echo flower message and a FREAKIN Chara nap/lore drop later and we fight the hero himself. My first uh, sans fangame fight if you will. (of course after friendly crossbones!) Craziest, best, funniest and most entertaining fight I've ever played!?? I'm not gonna lie I was suspicious with how predictable his story was?? But he HAD ME IN THE FIRST HALF!!! I still firmly believe in Sansturn tho, he was definitely telling the truth that time!! >:)
Seeing Papyrus like that afterwards was so sad... It was terrible and WRONG THE GUY DIDN'T DESERVE IT!!!? AND HE DOESN'T KNOW I WANTED TO TELL HIM- AND THEN THE WHOLE FREAKING ARMY COMES OUT OF NO WHERE AND WE'RE RUNNING FOR OUR LIVES WHILE LISTENING TO PEAK MUSIC!!!
It's amazing and awesome and crazy and fantastic- it's supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!!!! YES IM SO HAPPY YOU WATCHED IT!!! All the routes have something special in them!! It's all so well done I sometimes can't believe it's an actual real game?? :D
#rambles#answered ask?#ts!underswap#SORRY FOR YAPPING SO MUCH OMG#its just SO GOOOOOD#glad you like it too now!!!#also like talking to u abt it!!#;3

you can use this as an idea if you want I just wanted to ask this in general ^^
Will there be a oneshot/story of the bad sanses x reader having a kid with them? Theoretically the most sane one to do it with the reader would be cross cause nightmare, Dust and killer would probably say it's not the safest with them due to their corruption and LV, it depends on what horror says for his case but cross would probably would love to do it with the reader. All of them being dad's to a kid with the reader would be adorable :3
Funny scenario- *Killer on top of reader and the kid walks in asking what are they doing*
Killer- *gets up* we're not doing anything naughty kitten don't worry eheheh 😅
Reader- *is blushing intensely* 😳
Hmmm, I don't have any plans at the moment to write a piece with a reader x sans kid, but it's fun to speculate.
I could see Cross being a decent pick, due to his sense of responsibility and his desire to rebuild the home he lost. But he definitely still has LV himself, so I don't think that would be the only reason the others would decline. Most sanses already have experience caring for kids in the form of being the guardian for their younger brothers. How willing they are to do so again is another matter entirely.
For Dust, I could see some tiny little buried part of him wanting that connection. A barely-there hope of rebuilding what he destroyed. But I don't think he could get over his self-hatred long enough to think he deserves it. His entire existence at the moment is punishment for his previous actions. If the reader had a kid from another relationship, or adopted one, I could see Dust slowly warming up to the idea. But he'd still be very distant. In his mind it's for their safety.
Horror,,, I could see it working with some of his protective tendencies, I guess. He still has the core sans traits of loyalty and care for his chosen few… but he also is very unstable. He has and fully embraces some sadistic tendencies that never quite went away from his time underground. His sense of “safe and appropriate” is also massively skewed. He'd need help from his brother and his partner and a whole lotta practice. Maybe after he takes several of those parental care classes, lol
Killer. Hm. On one hand, he seems like he's too depersonalized and self-destructive. Too caught up in the bravado and the caricature he plays. Most of the time he's not sure he feels any emotion at all, and at his core he thinks he can never be anything more than a tool. I think it'd be hard for a monster that detached to muster up the intent to make a soulling. On the other hand, he does care for his cats. Honestly, he's probably better suited to uncle or cool-older-cousin status. Something where he can play his character but still not have the serious responsibility of parenting. It reminds him too much of his Papyrus.
Nightmare… I think he's also up there with being a decent pick if his magic would allow for it. He'd be very book-smart on the subject of kids but he'd definitely need assistance on the practical application the first few tries. He's a fast learner though. I'm not sure where I stand on if it's even possible with his corruption.
Cross is interesting because he's the only one who didn't actually raise his Papyrus by himself. Those two had xgaster (such as he was) but also toriel and asgore, and the royal guard to bring them up and teach them and such. It would be the emotional aspect of being a parent that he'd struggle with the most.
If reader did manage to have a kid with one of them, I do feel like everyone else in the castle would be involved somehow. All the boys contributing in their own little ways. But that's a thought for another post because this one is long as hell already aldkf

How did you envision 'slipping through my fingers' to work with Forgettable?? I LOVE LOVE LOVE that song and when i make the animatic thing of it I REALLY wanna do it justice
I might start rambling about this so I'll add a keep reading lol
OKAY SO I'VE BEEN THINKING ABOUT THAT SONG FOR THIS AU FOR SOOOOOO LONG
Gonna use this as my chance to talk about it lol
Okay so, it's definitely from Sans POV!
The very first part could be about leaving for work, Wingdings is probably working from very early in the morning! Sans takes it more easy
and like "The feeling that I'm losing her forever. And without really entering her world" OH MY GOD THAT PART
IT WORKS SO WELL
He actually is losing him forever soon
Sans still doesn't fully understand what Wingdings thinks, which must be frustrating
"Slipping through my finger all the time" OUGHHH HE IS SLIPPING THROUGH HIS FINGERS
AND THEN "each time I think I'm close to knowing. She keeps on growing" Sans might think he's close to comprehending things, but Wingdings keeps changing and surprising him and it's at a faster pace everytime (until he's changed so much he's like a different person...and also at some point he becomes Papyrus, that also happens)
YOU GUYS HAVE TO UNDERSTAND,,, THEY'RE THE SAME AGE BUT SANS REALLY DOES SEE WINGDINGS AS HIS YOUNGER BROTHER,,,
I mean, he's always been taking care of him, helping him communicate, sticking with him through school, college, the lab
The fact that Dings is so far away from his grasp/understanding is AUGH
Why did I make this AU so self-indulgent, it is SO angsty in just the way that hits me hard LMAO Idk as someone with a little sibling, brother!Gaster hurts me more than father!Gaster
You've heard about monsters getting a sense of deja vu when seeing the human
Now ...what about Sans getting a sense of premonition about what's gonna happen?
This part would definitely be about their wish to be on the surface someday and all the other dreams they had
Some of them they did (getting that job at the lab), but most they didn't (seeing the real stars)
I envision this part as the last happy thing that happened before the incident! A little group photo! Wish you could freeze the picture? Wish things could stay this way forever? WELL, I'M SORRY BUT WE ALL KNOW THAT'S NOT GONNA HAPPEN!
Time is about to play a very silly game! (also this is so fitting with Gaster doing weird time things, maybe he is the funny tricks of time)
I obviously can't say what the incident is or how it plays out... because... that would be a huge spoiler... to the people reading this, you'll need to use your imagination!
Then there's the whole guitar part! Love that part! I imagine in the animatic I'm gonna make about this someday that there will be a shot of Sans' arm trying to reach one last time... sigh... The day I finally make this animatic it will be amazing...
But I really can't rn because spoilers! THAT DOESN'T MEAN YOU GUYS CAN'T TRY TO DO ONE I WOULD LOVE TO SEE THAT
Then we can have two, or more idk
OKAY! That last part of the song mirrors the first part of the song!
But this time!!!!! IT'S PAPYRUS!!! Leaving early In the morning for royal guard duties :D gotta calibrate those puzzles early!
AND THAT'S IT!!!!! obviously avoiding spoilers! but OH MY GOD
I SWEAR THIS SONG WAS ONE OF THE SONG THAT INSPIRED ME TO MAKE THIS AN ACTUAL COMIC BECAUSE I NEEDED TO MAKE THAT ANIMATIC AND FOR PEOPLE TO UNDERSTAND UJFIEF
What a girl is willing to do just so people can understand her silly angst animatic c: a whole comic
#answered ask#I went a little crazy here#I REALLY need to open that discord server again aughhh#then you guys can ask me questions thereee#and I can use the rambling channel and ramble with u guys about songs that remind me of the AU lol#ANYWAYS I LOVE THIS SONG#I LOVE ABBA#I am NOT normal about this AU

Random thought/theory??? (Not quite sure)
Okay, so we all know that gaster in deltarune so far has had two people that got manipulated by him. What are those people? Jevil and spamton.
The two of them are quite similar, not just by the fact they had some tie ins to gaster, but from how they are as characters. They are both pretty silly and do have a huge job of some kind. (Jevil being a jester and spamton being a seller turned scammer.) They are also pretty short, Arguably shorter than kris.
Now this is the part where I talk about a different character...
Sans.
Its been known for a long time of a theory that sans was a lab partner with gaster, most famously theorized to be his dad, for a machine and possibly the determination machine from the core. Mostly by getting a key to go to a secret room in skele-bros house.
the most possible evidence of this theory is this:

Its not that much, but it has a lot of possibilities of it being true. Especially with the whole "don't forget" part with how gaster falls in the core and basically exists everywhere and nowhere, getting people to forget about his whole existence. of course, this could probably or also apply to his connection to deltarune, with how he seems to also appear in that game with no changes and the words "don't forget" being a lyric to one of toby foxes songs in that game.
But what does that have to do with Jevil and spamton?
Well, you could argue that jevil and spamton worked with gaster. Jevil believing him that his whole world was a game and making this idea into some kind of religion, and spamton getting advice and ideas from gaster to become a big shot, Becoming obsessed with trying to get connection with gaster for help until it was too late. Either way, they were all associated with gaster in some way.
Sans has some similar attributes to them, being pretty short, silly/funny (their whole personalities are different but you get the idea a little bit) and has some pretty huge jobs, A lab assistant and a comedian.
What's even more interesting is that they all are boss battles but there is only one way on getting them.
Jevil - getting a key and playing his game.
Spamton - doing his deal and getting him his body.
Sans - doing true genocide.
They are also the most mysterious characters in both of their games/chapters respectively, mostly lots of mysterious with what happened with/to them. Like, how did spamton become a puppet? And, why is sans SO aware about resets? (That one could be answered with the whole science lab partner thing, but I digress)
they also have been hinted at being different than they were in the past. We don't know how sans was before the events of undertale, but we do know that he lost all hope after learning about resets and possibly other stuff if you catch my drift. Jevil sits alone in a cage waiting for somebody to play with him and has gone crazy, and spamton turned homeless after he maybe fell into queens acid and became a puppet, trying his best to try and scam people into helping him.
They all have pretty complicated relationships with other people:
Jevil and seam - were once friends and worked for the kings together until jevil became insane.
Spamton and swatch - were partners making a machine until spamton left to become a celebrity.
Sans and papyrus - two brothers who have different lives, personalities and argue sometimes, but still have a good relationship despite that.
They were once a part of peoples lives and were happy with their own, but now they're not... Because of gaster.
At least for jevil and spamton.
Sans, despite everything seems pretty happy with how his life is now. Maybe he has some depression or something similar, but overall he is happy because he has friends. There are people alongside him that support him and love him and that's all he really needs to be fulfilled in his life.
Jevil and spamton doesn't have that. They are alone, left and forgotten in their lives with no one to help them or even show them love.
And its all because of gaster.
So...I guess what i'm trying to hint at or say is...
I think jevil and spamton are not only a mirror of kris and their imprisonment of being controlled and knowing they are in a game, but also a mirror of sans if he had no one, lost everything, and gaster rather than helped him, controlled him.
Yeah, its not a very thought out idea. I think it kind of sucks (maybe cause I don't really know how to find the right words?) But I thought I would talk about it because I thought it was a fun idea with gaster and sans possibly being connected being true, and also there are way worse theories out there so, why the hell not talk about mine? Hope you liked my ramble none the less!

i am sending this ask to a bunch of people. the reason is that i am curious. here it is.
what is your favorite thing about Papyrus in undertale?
do you think Papyrus will be important in deltarune?
what do you think will be Papyrus' role in deltarune?
what do you think of the "Papyrus is the Knight" theory?
what do you think his age will be? adult or teenager? (kid is not an option cus it would be stupid and no fun)
in what chapter do you think he will show up?
if Papyrus is the Knight do you think he will be nice or evil?
if Papyrus is the Knight do you think he knows what the Roaring is?
you are the fourth person i am sending this to.
well lucky you, you caught me in a rambling mood!
i talked more about this a lil while ago now, but to me the biggest appeal of papyrus is that i relate to him a whole lot, lol. his specific form of loneliness where he's very clearly trying really fucking hard and clearly doing all the things people say you're "supposed" to do to try to make friends, but it's just. not working, for whatever reason. it's a pretty hard-hitting feeling for me and it hits deep, and while it's not necessarrily a good feeling, it's definitely my favorite part of Papyrus if only for how well communicated and "real" it is.
putting the rest under a cut because it's gonna get long lol
when it comes to deltarune, my biggest thought towards it since way back in 2018 has been "i don't have any way of knowing what the hell is going on in that dog's brain." so i don't tend to speculate on the game very much outside of fun hypotheticals! i've honestly never been much of a theorist, i prefer letting everybody else be crazy while i'm just sitting back and letting things play out in their own time.
personally, i'd say it'd be nice for papyrus to have a big important role, but in full honesty i do have some doubts about how likely that actually is. for one, he's very much rooted in being a comic-relief character, so he very rarely seems to be written seriously in general, and for two, i don't think he would have much actual weight?
like, we know him as a character from undertale, and papyrus fans might know how mysterious he is, but most of the fandom doesn't see him as mysterious at all. on top of that, the characters in deltarune have no connection to him whatsoever. he's not one of their classmates, or neighbors they grew up with, or anything like that- he's just the grocery store clerk's shut-in little brother who nobody has ever met.
but, again, that brings me back around to "i don't know what's happening in that dog's brain." maybe they'll finally get to hang out with him & he'll become more involved in the story, or maybe he won't ever show up at all! idk!
naturally, all of that applies to my opinion on knight papyrus, too- it would be awesome and so so so so cool if it turns out to be real, but with the issue of nobody knowing him except sans, my faith in it gets a little dimmed. i do think the amount of hints that could connect him to it have been crazy, though, since most of them genuinely don't even feel like that much of a reach. i'll still be pulling out my cork board and red string whenever i possibly see a chance, rest assured
i really want him to be college-aged, ideally the same age as Asriel. one, so they can be besties obviously, and two, because if he suddenly becomes an underage character after ten years of papyrus fans fighting back against rampant infantilization i am going to fucking lose it
my own headcanon until we get to actually see him is that he's much more nervous, borderline agoraphobic, and much more awkward since he hasn't met any of the people that he very likely gained a lot of his personality from in undertale. considering he spends all his time in a dark undecorated house, the angst-loving part of me genuinely really hopes he's not just gonna be written the same as we're used to, lol
and sadly- judging from the previews we've seen of chapters 3-4, and the fact that they'll most likely take place in kris's house and then the church, i have some doubts that we'll see papyrus on june 5th :(. then again, the light world sections are apparently long enough to need their own save points, so maybe that's a good sign too! i'm personally not getting my hopes up, but it'd be a very nice surprise if we see him at all before chapters 5-7, even if it's just a really quick cameo or something :>
and finally, as for what he would be like as the knight & if he would know about the roaring, i actually thought about this some time ago too! i think he could know about the roaring and even actively be trying to cause it, but i don't think that makes him evil, per se. he doesn't know anyone in this town except his brother, making him even more desperately lonely than he was in undertale, and he's not even trying to overcome it this time around.
so, i think he'd get too attached to the fact that darkners literally have to like lightners and want to be their friends, and he'd want to cause the roaring either to be able to live in a world like that forever, or to then stop it himself and make friends by becoming a "hero." i can imagine him being not evil, and honestly not even all that bad (if you ignore the "casting the world into darkness to maybe make some friends" part), just really, really desperate.
#trousled rambles#emphasis on rambles#being a papyrus fan and trying to get hyped for deltarune is a little weird rn ngl#because i do have FULL faith in toby's ability to write a good story. i know deltarune is gonna be something entirely different from-#-anything we've ever seen before (except homestuck probably)#but like. toby is also the guy who said that papyrus wouldn't know what sex is. and it was a while ago obviously and not actually canon#but it still shows that papyrus is very much a comic relief “sheltered” kind of character the very large majority of the time#so much emphasis is put on alphys telling the truth and stopping with the lies but undyne never tells papyrus she's been lying to him#he has his own more serious moments but the ones that aren't the geno run tend to still have a good bit of comedy in them yknow#and idk how well that'd work if he has a bigger role in deltarune- especially as an antagonist- since it has a very different tone overall#if i'm right and he's not in 3-4 either that would be an odd element to put in just the final 3 chapters imo#so all in all i also think there's a good chance he could just be Very in the background and hardly changed personality-wise#which i Would be disappointed about but eh!! it's not like undertale's gonna disappear forever when DR is finished#if i want papyrus as a bigger main character i'll just go play the game where he's a bigger main character lmao#blaugh rambling rambling rambling u get my points..........good beye

Can I have some cute random facts about the skeleton brothers?
Sure can!
Undertale Sans - Sans is the one who sneaked the annoying dog into the house Underground. He figured that when Papyrus is a little sad, the dog always managed to cheer him up, or, well, annoy him enough so he doesn't think about what's making him sad anymore.
Undertale Papyrus - When Undyne and Alphys had their first kid, Papyrus played the nanny so they could both sleep the first night as he could see they were both really exhausted. He ends up being the child's godfather as well and he would die for his niece/nephew.
Underswap Sans - He participated in a beauty contest for fun with Alphys in the first month he reached the Surface and won. He's still sleeping with his trophy to this day, he's actually very proud of it (mostly because Alphys didn't win anything and her jealous face will not make him laugh).
Underswap Papyrus - He didn't know how to swim and so he was sad when he found himself all alone during the first monster trip to the beach while everyone was having fun. So Asgore picked him up and carried him on his back so he could enjoy the sea like the others. He even taught him the basics in a swimming pool when they got home and Honey is so thankful for it as he discovered he actually really likes that.
Underfell Sans - He couldn't be a dinosaur kid Underground, but I can promise you that the second he got on the Surface, he fell madly in love with the giant reptiles to the point of squealing in joy every time he saw a toy representing a dinosaur he doesn't have. He has a very impressive collection of them now. Edge took him to a dinosaur museum for his birthday. After that, it became impossible to make Red shut up for two months. It's still his favorite place on Earth and he's going there at least once a month.
Underfell Papyrus - That time, completely drunk, when he confessed to Undyne that she was his best friend and that he didn't know what he'd do without her. Of course, the next morning, the face entirely red, he screamed at her she imagined the whole thing and to leave him alone, despite her recording of the scene on her phone. But yeah, he turns a lot softer once drunk and Undyne is so amused by this that she's going to torment him for two months.
Horrortale Sans - Since Toriel's eyesight became pretty terrible over the years, once a week, Oak comes to her place to read books to her. It's a nice routine they have from Underground after he got his skull smashed as reading was helping Oak's memory. He struggled on a lot of words and she helped him through his lecture. Now he's doing it only to entertain her, mainly because it hurts him so much to notice Toriel is aging. She became his whole world through the years and he's not sure he could bear losing her. So he cherishes any small moment he has with her.
Horrortale Papyrus - He's working as a volunteer in an old people retirement home and even if he's not supposed to, he loves taking the three old ladies he's taking care of to the movie theater or to the restaurant just so they can have fun for a few hours. They're all acting like they're on a super secret mission and it's always a nice time. He kidnapped them next Gyftmas to celebrate at his place because no one should be without a family at that time.
Swapfell Sans - He loves being massaged to the point he becomes completely limp in his S/O's arms. It's actually one of the very rare moments you'll see him fully relaxed and/or deep asleep, as Nox usually never lowers his guard. That pretty much means he feels very safe around you, which is literally a confession that he trusts you with his life. You're a lucky one.
Swapfell Papyrus - The first time Nox took him to an attraction park once they arrived on the Surface is where Rus actually called him brother again for the first time in almost twenty years. Now that's something they do every year, to remind each other that despite everything that happened, they're still here for each other. Rus can tell it's Nox's way to apologize for the childhood Rus never really had and he's actually glad. Even though it's also a good excuse to get his revenge once a year by dragging his brother to a fantom train just to watch him scream with terror the whole time, without being able to complain because Rus will guilt-trip him otherwise lmao.
Fellswap Gold Sans - He tried makeup for the first time on the Surface and now he has a little bit of an addiction on his hands. He can spend hours in the cosmetics shops, just trying everything to see what looks good on him. He's actually so known in these shops the seller usually keeps all the new things in a corner so he can try them when he comes.
Fellswap Gold Papyrus - Since he doesn't like to talk to the seller in the shops, he usually sends his brother or his S/O to buy things for him. But since they often mess up and don't pick what he wants, now he's coming along, just hiding behind them and silently pointing at the things he wants with puppy eyes. Now that he has a little more confidence he's just doing it with anything he wants and that is not planned. Just staring intensely so someone notices him and buys it lol. He's poor, please say yes :(

One thing I don't see addressed in Undertale fanworks a lot is Sans's eldritch madness.
Like I know we all love Sans because it's relatable that he's depressed and all, but he isn't depressed because he has MDD, he's depressed because he figured out the secrets of the universe and didn't like what those secrets had to tell him.
Keep in mind, Sans is not a naturally self aware character like Monika in DDLC, it's very VERY heavily implied that he has a fascination with science, specifically things like theoretical physics given the things he has in his room and the LITERAL SUPER COMPUTER IN HIS GARAGE. He is A LOT smarter than he appears at first glance. So no, Sans is not naturally self aware. He is in fact, a classic case of curiosity killed the cat.
I assume he probably built his computer around the same time Papyrus met Flowey since it was in the underground already when we fall in and we can't reset back far enough to give Sans the time to realize something was weird with time/deja vu whatever and build a whole super computer and THEN meet us outside the ruins.
Keep in mind, Sans remembers/has data for EVERY TIME someone plays Undertale. That's why he hates us even in the first true pacifist run (without having done a no-mercy run before hand) you do on your device. He knows that the player character has killed him and everyone he knows over and over again, just because they felt like it. (I've said it before and I'll say it again, the player is the true villian of Undertale, not Chara.) That's why he's depressed. Because he's slowly starting to realize that he lives in a fake world with a cruel god and there's nothing he can do about it.
Sans knows too much. He understood, even if for just a moment, the true scale of the world he lives in. Not that it's huge and infinite, but that he lives in a tiny, at most six hour long video game. And that made him crazy.
Undertale has a certain horror that is honestly some of the best I've ever seen because of how subtle it is. Like on the surface it's just another side scrolling video game. Dig a little deeper and it's a side scrolling videogame with morals. DIG EVEN DEEPER and it's a cosmic horror told from the perspective of what is essentially this universe's god, a cruel child who likes to squish bugs because it's fun, involving a time loop that will continue to go on as long as the game is played, trapping the characters of this world in their own personal hell that they don't even know about for the most part. We are the lovecraftian monster to these people.
I am autism. I am visible in your children, but if I can help it, I am invisible to you until it's too late....

Heya! I was wondering if u could do a headcanon of how Sans would act to being at disneyland with his S/O for the first time??
hey! thank you for requesting these, this was light-hearted and fun:) i’ve never been to disneyland before so forgive me if some of my stuff wasn’t correct, i’m going off of what i see online.
UT Sans Disneyland headcanons.
Being at Disneyland didn’t appeal much to Sans at first. Why? Standing in 2-hour lines for a ride and seeing characters from movies he didn’t get to watch growing up just wasn’t a very appealing idea to him, at the least, he could only see himself going if Papyrus wanted him to.
So when you suggested the idea on a random whim one night in bed, it took a bit of convincing to get him to go with you. It was a good portion of money that the both of you’d be spending, and he just wasn’t sure if the price would be worth it for the experience.
But eventually, your pleas got to him, and he finally gave in.
➭ road trip
Sans surprisingly did enjoy the drive down to disneyland.
He drove the whole way there for you. Since you took care of him in many other aspects of your domestic life, so when it came to things like cooking or driving, he always jumped the gun and made sure it wasn’t a task of yours.
He kept playing eye-spy the entire way down with you, stopping at the gas station for snacks (a lot more often than he should have), and jamming out to some tunes with you on the radio. He didn’t want you to be bored on the drive there, and his hand somehow kept sneaking its way over to your thigh and mindlessly rubbing up and down without any further motives while you two talked.
➭ hanging out at the hotel
You didn’t ask him, but you were pretty sure that Sans’ favorite part of the whole trip was getting to stay in one of the resort hotels. He always loved staying in the hotels when you went anywhere, which evened out since you also loved doing the same with him, but he was enthralled with the rooms. Why was there disneyland on the headboard of the bed? Why was the carpet fireworks? Why was this bed so damn comfortable? He probably could have sunk into the mattress and stayed there the whole time if you hadn’t pried him away from his all-famous napping sessions.
He also really liked just collapsing on the bed after being outside all day, and if you got within an arm-length radius of him you’d be pulled down onto the bed, trapped with him, and most likely not to be seen again until morning.
‘uh-oh, seems you’re stuck here with me now.’
‘Sansss, don’t do this again, I have to get showered off and changed.’
‘tough, my bones are locking up around you, can’t let you go, babe.’
➭ going around the park
Surprisingly despite his doubts, Sans actually had a lot of fun on the disney rides. He obviously wasn’t a big fan of the lines you both had to wait in and despite the looks you got from other people around you, he kept clinging to you like velcro the entire wait while you both talked to pass the time. You couldn’t blame him, even though he didn’t have skin and the heat didn’t really bother him, he didn’t like standing still for so long without doing anything.
He wasn’t too big of a fan of getting photos with some of the characters, (you could have sworn that he was a bit shy about it), but he did put on some silly mickey mouse ears and snag some fun pictures with you for whatever princesses or mascots you wanted to see. It was just a little bit harder for him to relate to wanting to see the characters that much since he didn’t watch these movies growing up in the underground, but he did love seeing you happy about it.
➭ snacks and food
This may be a huuuge shock, but Sans really liked the snacks and meals. Despite his ick for the expensive price tags, he was almost always dragging you to get snacks with him every time he saw something he could eat. These snacks were just so weird and a bit cool to him, food wasn't mickey mouse shaped or disney movie themed back at home.
‘baby, babe, try this.’
‘Sans, isn’t that your fourth one? Do you want to go get something else to munch on instead?’
‘ehehe, i know something else i’d like to munch on.’
He also really liked the themed dinners, it was pretty cool being able to see characters come out and walk around the tables while you both ate. Needless to say, this man was pretty satisfied with your meal options during your trip.
➭ souvenirs
Sans did find quite a few things he wanted to bring back for Papyrus and your other friends, mostly just cute little trinkets or figures. He did take fondly to some of the more sci-fi stuff they had there, and he couldn’t help but grab some stuff he liked that he swore he’d be able to find a place for back at home in your shared bedroom.
He wasn’t a big fan of the themed shirts, but with some convincing, you both got a matching pyjama set that you said you’d make him wear with you since he held up a doll of stitch and said that it looked identical to you.
‘babe, you can’t deny that the resemblance is uncanny.’
‘Sans, I love you, but it’s time to put the stitch doll down.’
‘i guess you’re right, humans aren’t blue anyway.’

Ehehehe this isn’t canon to the prompts, just a future idea in the rps!
Meet Ursa Serif Wingdings and Venus Papyrus Wingdings!
For a little context: @bombora-bona and I were talking about fan kids between our characters and wound up planning red and oaks twins together lol.
Ursa: she is a super chilled out monster. Ursa is all smiles, jokes and play! She’s very food motivated like her father oak, and will follow his passion for cooking, eventually working at and inheriting the bakery from him and willow! She’s not really a fighter, preferring to cut and run, or talk out conflicts. She’s so even tempered that edge jokes if she didn’t look so much like red he wouldn’t believe she was his lol.
She LOVES stealing her dad’s hoodies. When they do laundry, they have to dig through Ursa’s closet and basket to get like half of their wardrobe back lmao
She owns a big teddy bear collection. Her bed is like half stuffed animal. And she’ll just sleep on top of them all like some goblin.
She failed PE twice cause she’s lazy, and only passed the third time as red threatened her with “boot camp” with uncle edge for the whole summer.
Her favorite food is calzones! The cheesier the better. She’ll shed an actual happy tear if the cheese pull from the first bite is perfect.
The only one of red and oaks future kids to actually like puns. Ursa is fighting the true fight in this family
Venus: Venus reminds oak a lot of what willow used to be like when he was younger. She has the same body type as her uncle willow (and papyrus) as well as their cheer. She’s not as energetic though, and also inherited reds jumpier nature. Venus is a total daddy’s girl and loves hanging out with her dad red working on cars together. She’ll wind up becoming one of the pit crew people for those nascar racers in the far future!
She’s definitely a bit of a girly girl and loves cute head accessories like bows, headbands and bandanas. No light colors allowed though. She tends to get oil stains on all her clothes so she wears darker or earthy colors only.
Venus is the master of all bark no bite lol. She’s just like her dad red in how she gets snappy when she’s nervous, but she absolutely sucks on the battle field. She has zero athletic talent to her uncles dismays lol
She’s the overachiever in school and winds up getting awards for her fantastic grades. She throws hissy fits whenever someone passes her on the placement lists. She’s very competitive
She dreams of having her own custom built sports car some day. And she wants to make it gudetama themed lmao. She’s a total Sanrio girlie.
She’s the kid who sneaks wild animals into the house to try and convince her dads to let her keep them.

Papyrus, and Death. ESSAY TIME!!!
I strongly believe that Papyrus is going to be revealed to be a young kid in Deltarune, due to the way Sans refers to leaving his brother alone with a “stranger” is “irresponsible”, and in the same breath, acknowledging that inviting a kid to his house to hang would be “weird” cause YEAH. an adult and a child vibing alone would be strange. (unless they’re family or something- BUT LIKE YOU GET ME.) But a kid and a kid?? Hell yeah.
But SOME people think the way Sans hypothetically talks about his adult brother is warranted. In Undertale, this wouldn't be too far fetched! Papyrus basically behaves like a child while being around adult age.
Now. Okay. I have a problem with that.
Papyrus. Yes, enjoys childish things, often denies the truth, and believes people when he shouldn't. But, this does not mean that his brother would have any reason to treat him like he has to keep an eye on him 247, if Papyrus being a small child is not the case.
Papyrus being ignorant about everything is a misconception that is built around the fact that he DOES seem to play dumb a lot, simply because he thinks stuff is normal when it's not. Such as him flying, Sans teleporting, not sleeping, general stuff along those lines.
But, what I want to focus on is the most often used “evidence” towards this misconception of his character. Is that he doesn’t know what death is, or that he doesn’t know when someone has died because of how “innocent” he is.
During the genocide route, peole often see Papyrus as being clueless to the danger he's putting himself in. That completely bastardizes his “fight”, and his entire character. Papyrus knows you can (and probably will) kill him, proven by how he talks about how scared shitless we was after you spare him. He knows he might die trying, but he is going to try and change your mind anyway, because he believes in you. He believes bad people can change. Hell, during the Pacifist route, he’s proven right!!! bad people can change… LOOK AT FLOWEY???
And, him asking you to bring back Undynes friends in one of the neutral run phone calls, isn't him thinking you didn’t kill them, it's more likely him asking you to RESET. We’ll get back to that later.
First I want to get this little thing out of the way. Papyrus not being told about his friend's death when he's forced to become leader. This translates into… not understanding death whatsoever?? It seeming OBVIOUS to anyone that they died and he is being lied to.
I feel like this is very much not a result of him being “childish”, just a result of his unwavering trust, which can be certainly admired in a lot of ways, but of course, used, too.
Even if people agree with me on that unwavering trust part, people still use that as ammunition for Sans lying to him being an often occurrence. Sans… right now- is being put in a REALLY bad spot. Telling his brother to his face that all his friends are dead isn't something I think anyone wants to do. So, him lying to Papyrus isn’t exactly proof that he thinks little of him in any way, it's more his desire to protect a person he loves from knowing a horrible truth, and having the opportunity to do so on a silver fukn platter.
And, on the topic of Sans lying to Papyrus…keeping resets away from Papyrus seems semi reasonable considering the whole King Papyrus thing-
But the things Papyrus says say otherwise to him being COMPLETELY ignorant. Like, in the neutral ending phone call about Undynes friends deaths.
How much the people who know about resets- KNOW about resets, is heavily debated. But the main thing is that Sans has undeniable proof that someone is fucking with the timeline, and you acting like youve done everything before, aint helping your case.
What I think would make more sense considering everything we've gone over about Papyrus, and Sans’ characters/ relationship…would be that Papyrus DOES know that time is repeating, and still enjoys life to the fullest (like sans) BUT also has BIG dreams of the future (unlike sans)
The future might not ever come, but he's like “nah it will, just you wait”
AND…HE'S TECHNICALLY PROVEN RIGHT ABOUT THAT TOO??????
ALL of Papyrus’ big ideals that seem foolish and ignorant, are up to you. Do you want to prove him right or wrong?
Are you going to kill, or spare him in the genocide run, showing him bad people can change?
Are you going to DO the pacifist route and STAY THERE, giving he and his friends a future?
Are you going to reset, and bring back Undynes friends?
Doesn't matter. Because some people prove him right, and that's all that matters. He believes it can happen, not that it will.

A much delayed trade that I should've finished ages ago... Thank you @dizzyalex for being so incredibly patient with me 🥺
Without further ado, here's a little story about Sans and Alex's oc, Dolly!
The sound of chatter, the same tunes playing on the jukebox on loop, and the smell of grease filled the place as Sans sat down on his usual stool.
Stars, how he loved Grillby's.
It was his third time dropping by since his shift started. He wasn't a fan of being a sentry, but Papyrus loved it, and he could spend more time with him that way, so he didn't complain. Besides, sneaking into Grillby's while on the job was fun.
He gripped a bottle of ketchup with his bony hands as he bounced his feet on the stool's footrest, closing his eye sockets in anticipation.
"Please, tell me you're not drinking that again."
Sans blinked at Dolly as she wiped the bar with a white damp rag. He was impressed she still had her little yellow flower placed behind her fluffy ear since she opened up.
"what? i'm just enjoying the complimentary drink that came with my meal!" He shrugged, giving the bottle of ketchup a big chug.
"You ate a burger like three hours ago!" She shook her head as she leaned on the bar.
"so?" He licked the back of his teeth, closing his eye sockets nonchalantly, "it's free."
"I will literally buy you a drink if you stop doing that," she said with a desperate tone, clawing the edge of the bar with her paws.
Sans opened his eyes, looking at the ceiling with an indecisive look.
Should he accept a free drink over free condiments?
"nah," he shook his head, chugging the bottle of ketchup again.
Dolly's fur stood on end, visibly cringing at his gesture before sighing in defeat.
She lost her battle against the bottle of ketchup.
"i wouldn't say no to some casual conversation though," Sans hummed.
"Would you, now?" She cocked a brow, a small smile on her face.
"yeah, that way we can ketch-up," he winked at her.
She slapped her hand over her eyes as she leaned further into the bar, trying and failing to hide her wide smile.
"You're lucky I don't have much work at this hour," she said warningly, leaning her chin on her fist.
Sans looked back over his shoulder to see that there weren't that many people indeed. Dogami and Dogaresa were sitting with Lesser Dog on a table near the bar while a couple of rabbit monsters sat near the entrance.
"no wonder grillby went home early," he hummed. "are you on closing duty today?"
"Afraid so," she nodded, "but I'll finally have the weekend off to decompress a bit."
"oh, i'm an expert when it comes to that," he smiled proudly as he pushed the bottle of ketchup away. "what do you usually do?"
"To relax?" She blinked at him.
"yeah," he nodded, looking down at the bar after noticing she was directly looking at him.
"Well... I'd watch a movie or read a book if I can get my hands on any- but I honestly think I'm just gonna sleep through the whole weekend," she admitted, tugging her fur behind her ear with her index finger.
"sleeping is bed-er than any hobby," Sans yawned.
Dolly snorted, resting her forehead on the bar for a moment before cackling.
Sans smiled proudly as he watched her laugh, his smile dropping immediately when she stopped all of a sudden.
Someone who just walked in flagged her, so her demeanor changed back to a responsible worker.
"Give me a second and then I'll ask you what you're doing this weekend," she sighed, adjusting her apron as she started walking to the opposite end of the bar to approach the new customer.
Sans spun on his stool, noticing there wasn't just one customer, but an entire family of rabbits.
"that looks like it's gonna take more than a second," Sans mumbled to himself as he watched Dolly greet the customers and walking them towards one of the empty tables, "and i don't like waiting anyways..."
She was the waitress. Not him.
He chuckled at his own mental joke as he kept looking at her. He didn't envy her right now; running around the place taking everyone's notes. Always smiling.
It looked like a tiring job.
Speaking of which, he realised he really should get back to his station.
He sighed, giving the bottle of ketchup on the bar one last look before hopping off his stool, leaving it spinning for a second as he made his way out of Grillby's.
Part of him hoped Dolly would notice him leaving, but she was focused on one of the little rabbits. She pointing at something on the menu, reading it out loud for them.
That also reminded him he should head home and read Papyrus his bedtime story as well.
He shrugged, sticking his hands into his pockets as he pushed the door open with his shoulder, walking down the two little steps before landing on soft, white snow.
It was quite late, not that it didn't look like it thanks to the lack of sunlight. Or starlight. It was always dark in Snowdin.
Sans hummed along with the song playing at Grillby's as he backed home, even when he was too far to hear it.
...
It didn't take long for him to make Papyrus fall asleep, but he lingered around his bedroom for a moment, enjoying the peaceful sound of him breathing before heading back out of the house.
He decided not to teleport to his post. He would do that on his way back. He stretched his arms above his head, the sound of his bones popping filling the silence amongst the quiet neighbourhood.
As he got closer to Grillby's again, he heard the sound of music. A different tune in fact. He was surprised the jukebox was still going, he thought the tabern would've been closed by now.
He walked past it slowly, paying attention to the silhouettes moving around through the glass bricks. He was 90% sure Dolly and someone else were dancing, and by the sound of it, people were cheering them on.
He closed his eye sockets as he kept walking away, listening to the song as he kept walking, a shy smile on his face.
He was tempted to go back to Grillby's, but he decided against it and teleported to his post.
It was so quiet now compared to a couple of seconds ago. He was almost thankful for having some peace and quiet, but then he realised he was alone with his thoughts.
Which he didn't like very much.
He eyed the thick wooden door as he pondered if he should knock on it or not.
Welp, he needed someone to talk to, so he might as well try to start some conversation with someone.
He teleported right next to the door, leaning his back against it.
"knock, knock," he grinned as he rested his head close to the door frame.
But nobody answered.
He sighed, giving the dark, plain ceiling a look with disappointed eyes.
"i should just head home," he groaned, massaging his nape while he kicked the snow over his slippers.
The walk back to Snowdin was peaceful. Quiet, as usual, but surprisingly cathartic.
He skipped through his brother's puzzles with ease, avoiding all the little traps he had become so used to since he helped him build them.
Once he arrived to the flashy Snowdin sign, he realised the silence kept lingering. All the business were closed already, but he could see Grillby's lights still shining through its windows.
"weird," he squinted his eye sockets as he walked closer to it, noticing someone was still in there while no sound was coming from inside. Not even the jukebox.
He stopped on his tracks when he heard the little bell above the door ringing, followed by a quiet groan.
"It's so cold!"
Sans eyed Dolly's breath, turning into faint little white clouds every time she huffed while locking Grillby's front door
"you seem happy."
She jumped, turning around to see Sans standing right beside the steps.
"You scared me!"
"since when am i scary?" Sans tilted his head, smiling.
"I just didn't expect you back at this hour," she hissed as she looked at the keys she was holding, wondering if she should ask him if he wants another drink or just lock the establishment all together.
She was tired. Her shift had been too long and she had been dancing for the last hour or so.
"you seem drunk," Sans pointed out, noticing her hesitation. "want me to walk you home so you can get there safely?"
"I'm not drunk," Dolly just shook her head, chuffing as she locked the door. Maybe she was a little bit tipsy. She allowed herself to drink a couple of shots after the last few clients lured her into it, but that was it.
She was a former royal guard. She didn't need anyone's help.
She turned around, raising a brow at him as she smiled with confidence, "And do I look like I need HEL--"
Sans took a step back, avoiding her kicking him as she slipped through the step on her ass.
It was clear now that someone had spilled something and it froze, making the surface slippery.
Dolly only wished she hadn't said that right before tripping.
"i-cy..." Sans nodded slowly, trying his hardest not to laugh, "is that a trick question or...?" He offered her a hand.
She didn't even want to look up at his grin, too embarrassed to even accept his help.
"even if you don't need my help we're headed towards the same direction," Sans chuffed as she stood up, slapping the dirt off her clothes with her hands.
"Sure," she cleared her throat, feeling her blood through her cheeks as she blushed, "if you're set on that," she shrugged, still avoiding eye contact with him.
"just so i can arrive safe and sound," Sans winked at her.
"Right," she chuckled, "I'll make sure of that."
The two of them started walking without saying another word. Dolly was surprised by how quiet Sans was. He was looking at the dark ceiling, his neck completely stretched.
"What're you looking at?" She asked curious, following his line of sight.
"oh, you know," he shrugged his shoulders, "just practicing for when we get to the surface."
"I can't wait to see the stars," she smiled, still looking at the dark rocks above their heads. "I wonder what they look like."
"they're shiny balls of hot gas," Sans hummed, "they're-"
"That sounds... not pretty," she looked at Sans with her wide eyes and her ears pulled. "I thought they were made of magic or something!"
Sans snorted, laughing in earnest as he looked at her, "they're really far away, you don't have to worry about them."
"Right," she gulped, hugging her arms as she kept walking.
"you should read about them," Sans tilted his head to the side as he looked at her. "they have some great books about astronomy in the librarby."
"I'll keep that in mind," she yawned, "but I think-"
Sans stopped on his tracks as Dolly started slipping on a big frozen puddle, fighting with her own legs before giving up and falling on her ass.
Again.
Sans could've probably prevented it, but he didn't.
"you should know, walking over ice is very whiskey."
She groaned, tilting her head back to look at the dark ceiling, "I am not drunk!" She whined.
"here," Sans approached her, giving her a hand.
She accepted it with whatever little dignity she had left, and stood up leaning on him to avoid slipping again.
"no thank you?" Sans raised a brow bone.
"Just know..." She sighed, preparing herself for what she was about to say, "that you're thank-tastic."
"..." Sans stared at her.
"Was it that bad...?" She asked hesitantly.
Sans finally bursted out laughing, even resting his hands on his knees as he bent over.
Dolly smiled proudly, interlocking her fingers behind her back as she stretched her arms.
Sans kept giggling to himself as they finally reached the point where Dolly had to take a turn to get home. It was time for them to part ways.
"Well," she started, looking at Sans with a shy smile, "thanks for..."
What was she thanking him for, again? He barely protected her from her own clumsiness.
"teaching you how to be funny?" Sans offered, a shit eating grin plastered on his face.
"Yeah," she snorted, rolling her eyes at that.
She was already funny before meeting him.
He turned around, looking back at her over his shoulder, "see you on monday?"
She sighed, trying to ignore that she needed to work again next week before nodding at him with a sincere smile. "Goodnight, Sans."
Sans winked at her before looking ahead and continuing his walk. He kept humming the same tune until he finally reached his home, but even then he was still thinking about the next Monday.
#Sans x oc#Thank you for being so patient with me 🙇♀️🙇♀️🙇♀️♥️♥️♥️#Sans undertale#Trade#Love me some 'casual' interactions before things start actually happening 🙂↕️🙂↕️🙂↕️

Some Undertale gamer headcanons:
Someone said that Toriel would be the world Tetris champion, and I'm not sure why, but I agree with that. And not just Tetris, but bubble-poppers, match 3, marble-shooters, all of those kinds of games. She's the new Candy Crush mascot.
I've also seen people say sans would be into rhythm games, and... no. Why would you think he would be into something that takes that much effort? Seriously, come on. What sans is into is farming sim games. He's written dozens of online strategy guides for Stardew Valley, all of them under different pseudonyms.
Papyrus is into online multiplayers. All of them, any genre- Fortnite, Apex Legends, Fall Guys, Elder Scrolls Online, Runescape, you name it. He sucks at all of them, but none of his online friends is willing to tell him how bad he is because he's so darned innocent and nice. Nobody really wants him on their team because he'll always make them fail the mission, but he's so upbeat and uplifting that no one has the heart to tell him they don't want him.
Undyne loves Souls-like and dungeon crawlers, but she struggles with anything that requires stealth, she just doesn't. do. stealth. She says it's stupid to have to sneak up on enemies, she should just be able to barge in with guns or swords or spears blazing in any and all circumstances. Don't ever even suggest Metal Gear to her. Or Breath of the Wild- she rage-quit after the Yiga Clan Hideout quest (although it did leave her with the impression that bananas give you strength in battle, so she now always keeps a bunch of bananas on hand).
Blooky plays solitaire and Mah Jongg, and even those stress them out.
Maddie plays casino and slots games. On an unrelated note, she's always broke.
Mettaton is the rhythm games master. You will not change my mind on this.
Alphys is HEAVY into JRPG's. The more anime it looks, the more she loves it.
Asgore has no idea what a video game is. Well, ok, he has some idea, his kids both played games, but he never could figure them out. He thinks Sonic and Crash are both Mario characters and that Link is a girl- you get the idea. But he did used to play card and board games with Toriel. Especially chess (she totally owned his ass in every match). Ever since Toriel left, he can't bring himself to play chess. He plays checkers a lot, tho. He usually loses (he plays against himself).
Asriel and Chara were into action/adventure games. Asriel's favorite characters were Yoshi and Link, while Chara's favorites were Samus and Shadow the Hedgehog. What? No, I'm not projecting my favorite games onto the Dreemurr kids. What are you talking about?
Frisk has only ever played the hit indie game Undertale. About 500 times. Always Pacifist, they've never even tried a Geno run. They've been thinking about playing that Deltarune game, too, but they kinda wanna wait until the whole thing is released.
