3. What ideas come from when you were little

I have two OCs that have really stood the test of time: Akane and Kin - though their names have changed over time haha ♪ They were the first ever queer couple I made, long long loooong before I was out even to myself and shock among shocks, they're angels lol ♥ I remember I even wrote a short story about them from like - middle school probably?? as part of an assignment haha. They've been with me for a loooong time, and I'm still very fond of them 💕

4. Fav character/subject that's a bitch to draw

GLaDOS is so beautiful and I am so bad at drawing machine parts jfdklsasdf. I'm determined to draw her from both games now tho! Her design in Portal 1 is so weird!! <3

19. Favorite inanimate objects to draw (food, nature, etc.)

Plushies, no contest. Drawings the seams and darts and stitches and wear and fluff and fabric vs. fur I just ugh it's all so satisfying! The way the cloth folds over itself or stands firm on its own over well-stuffed filling! I love plushies!! Funny enough, I rarely use them as props tho haha - that's usually things like books, cups, pencils, etc.

20. Something everyone else finds hard to draw but you enjoy

I haven't heard the complaint in earnest in a while, just in a jokey fashion, but I really really enjoy drawing hands :) Hand expressions are so fun to me! They're just as expressive as faces - especially masked characters haha - and they're so versatile! Come in so many shapes, some hard, some rubberhose wiggly, some sharp and Shaped, but they still all emote similarly. Even just slight position changing can change the temperature of how it reads! It's a challenge for sure but it's just so satisfying >:3c

Things that make him blush

A/N: The Levi brainrot is going strong, sometimes I wonder why I write most of my stuff about him when theorically he isn't my top #1 anime crush (theorically). Complimenting his hands and/or hair.

He rarely gets compliments about his appearance, let alone about something so trivial as his hair or hands. When you mention how he’s got the prettiest hands in the scouts or how his hair is always so neat, he’ll just look away embarrassed and mumble a “thanks” while his cheeks turn pink.

Calling him “pretty”.

Never in his life has he been called pretty. He may have heard here and there someone calling him handsome or attractive, but pretty? Not once. His brain freezes when you call him pretty for the first time because, what do you mean he’s pretty? For him something pretty is a flower or maybe a sunset, not him. But when you say that word so tenderly and full of love to describe him it makes his heart swell and his eyes teary.

Noticing small details about his appearance.

Him being so meticulous applies not only to his surroundings but also his persona, so when you mention how his cravat is always sitting so neatly on his neck or how the collar of his shirt is always so crisp and perfectly ironed, he feels seen and it makes his cheeks blush in appreciation. Not that he will ever mention it.

Talking into his ear.

Whether is a silly joke you come up with during a meeting or an important memo that no one should hear besides him, if you get close to him and whisper into his ear all his muscles will tense and a shiver will run down his spine, there’s something about being this close to you that makes his heartbeat run wild and his cheeks blush furiously.

Touching him slightly.

Nothing will melt his heart more than casual touch; the kind of mindless, unintentional touch you may do like when you’re passing by and he’s on your way so you gently place a hand on his shoulder to let him know you’re passing through; Or if he’s too busy reading a document and in order to get his attention you squeeze his bicep softly. This kind of interactions make him a blushing mess and he almost always has to excuse himself before you notice how red his face is.

Look at him without him knowing until there’s eye contact.

Something about him looking your way and noticing you’ve been looking at him for a while make his stomach feel full of butterflies and his ears turn red with embarrassment; it isn’t the kind of was-I-being-weird embarrassment but more of a they’re-looking-at-me kind of embarrassment, he feels seen and it makes him nervous.

Do a random act of service for him.

Tell him you’ve done one of his assigned tasks before he gets the chance to do it and he’ll melt right before your eyes; especially if it’s something he hates, like dealing with the new recruits or sweet-talking a visitor so they can donate to the scouts; Though his reaction is not only reserved for big actions like those, it is more about you taking some of your time to help him, that’s what make his heart flutter and his cheeks burn.

Touching him in areas that may not be too common to do so.

This isn’t related to any kind of erotic or suggestive touch, it is more about you touching his thigh while helping him with his ODM gear, holding his hand when he helps you get up or rubbing his ankle when he complains about landing wrong on his feet; This is about you touching any part of his body that isn’t usually touched by anyone else but him. There’s something about feeling someone else’s hands on those parts of his body that make him stammer a bunch of nonsense before almost running away nervously.

Considering the last asks about Merch Mimics, I want to ask how common Hex's situation is, that being remembering being part of a show/series/another world and suddenly appearing one day as a toy into a world where your previous home is fictional?

What I'm really wondering about is if before the Merch Mimic becomes that identity in cases like her's (and Jack and Stack's, I'm assuming), if the Mimic in the larval stages imprints on the Idea of that character and that's why they have these memories, or if it's a soul transmigration situation in that this character did exist in another world and then suddenly they exist in another but translated into another form of being.

I'm assuming that Merch Mimics are more malleable in origin than this, as in a multiple ways for them to come into being, but these two particular possibilities of origin sounds very interesting to me!

Great question! The answer is meant to be very ambiguous, but there's something about the fictional worlds these characters seem to come from that seem more "real" than the kind of stuff a human would just come up with off the top of their head. In this setting, alternate realities are known as "paradigms". Paradigms only exist in the abstract as far as anyone is aware, but if a mimic gains knowledge of a paradigm, it can just mimic whatever it sees in that reality and essentially "port" it over to real life. The implication is that mimics like Hex or Jack perceived realities similar to this in their larval stages, and manifested in the real world as characters from those paradigms, using human dreams and ideas as guidance for finding those realities.

This relates to how stories seem to have lives of their own; writers moreso "find" stories rather than truly create them, you could say. Stories likewise seem to "possess" people, with whole swaths of people in consensus that a story has to follow a certain logic. Paradigms are often not physical at all, so there isn't normally any way to just yoink infinite matter from other worlds. Ideas though? Those transcend any such limitations.

There's meant to be some ambiguity as to how accurately someone like Hex is actually the "real" Hex, but her fictional anime backstory is having been a memetic virus that infected a robot and became a threat that way, so waking up in the real world by using the same method is literally like a tuesday afternoon for her. All according to keikaku-- Or perhaps that's just her rationalization of her own constructed memories. They aren't really mutually exclusive, it's the same thing as far as she's concerned. Also. do not kin her. that's what she wants. you don't know what you're unleashing on this world if you actually succeed

So I’ve been having fun dipping my toes into Donna Beneviento (god her last name is hard to spell) content. After watching the gameplays and to at least have a basic understanding for the game, I find myself really drawn to her, maybe more than Alcina tbh

By no means i’m a diehard fan or anything, recently it’s been hard to find a new fandom to get attached towards. As much as I adore cod, there isnt really much to get attached too… like sure, task 141 is a fun group and the there is some GREAT art about the ships- but I only got attached because of Valeria, I won’t deny it at all. I’m a diehard lesbian, but there isn’t really much cannon content of her?? It’s really damn disappointing sometimes, man… same with Laswell. I appreciate all of the fanartists out there though, I adore all of the content here, fanfics or fan art. With Farah, she’s a diffrent story.. personally I never really got attached to her, but as a character she’s pretty neat. Her story sort of brings to light the horrors happening today which is a bit of a benefit…?? But ever since I found out things about both Valeria’s and Farah’s actors I’ve been a little off about things here and there. I don’t think I’ll stop posting Valeria content at all, it just might be a little less offen to indulge in different things.

Some personal things have been happening to make me feel really disconnected from like.. fucking everything for some reason?? Like I’m drifting away from fandoms, I’m drifting away from people and I’m like alone again.. I’m lost in a damn dumpster fire. AI art doesn’t help with this at all.. like why do I draw?? I’ve been drawing since I was in kindergarten like I never really thought of the specifics of perusing art, more or so just that I want to. Like hey, I wanna make a game or movie series, and something in me doesn’t realize I need to put in the effort to learn shit with just ends up in me doing nothing but self pitting on something I can change and ugh.. wish I can slap myself to get out of it.

So I think I’ve been kind of finding myself relating to Donna. Not in her extreme way, more or so just her aspect of being isolated, and just being known primarily for one thing. Like.. our side of art? Damn. Shit. I think I’m worth nothing.. and with Donna we don’t really know much about her besides her being a cursed Dollmaker, and the bare bones of her past. And we both barely fucking speak man… both hide our faces too !! maybe I kin this woman or something I don’t know

But as I was looking through her tumblr tag, I saw a rant about how headcannons and stuff has been stripping away the interesting stuff about the re8 villains… and with the things I’ve seen so far?? I can kinda agree, honestly.

Don’t get me wrong, if it’s not too.. insane? (I know those boundaries are hard to define at times, but maybe REALLY immoral shit for our “normal” world) and people aren’t forcing these headcannons into other people? I don’t mind headcannons. You do you, boo!

But the fan content I’ve seen, people reduce Donna and Alcina (I’m surprised it was pronounced as AlCHIna and not AlSIna, but side tangent over) from the potential they really have. Yeah it’s definitely nice to see Donna more, especially in those intimate moments.. but sometimes I feel like people just depict her as some shy, easily gullible, girl, and not really the mentally deprived woman she is. Like I’d love to see ideas of the different dolls Donna could create, or unique imagery of her mental state outside of having porcelain skin. What about the kinds of plants she takes care of? Or the dolls she makes? I’d love to see more of it, whether she has favorites, or if it’s a situation where she has doll replicas of her deceased family. Man, I really wanna see Donna do more creepy shit, basically.

With Alcina however? She’s kind of reduced to that (I’m going to cringe at these words so terribly, god help me) “hot vampire mommy”.. I’ll take fault for not looking into her content as much, I’m sure there’s great content out there !! (I’m not sure if anyone would do this but.. feel free to send me any fic recommendations or art) With what I want to see for her? I’ve heard from the rant post as a man-hating woman she had primarily female statues in her castle, it would be fun to see what else she has cause of this worldview, as well as more whitty remarks from her; I really enjoy her throwback with Heisenberg. Just in general.. her being a comical villain.

Okay so, the reason why I made this post in the first place before all of this shit threw up from my brain. Belladonna. At first, this ship really interested me, I like the character dynamics, the art was neat. But then something came up in my mind.. (as well as another rant post on the ship..) isn’t the Dimitrescu bloodline related with Donna? Both are failed experiments from Mother Miranda, and technically adopted by her. Though from what I know, Donna is the only one officially adopted. So would that be family..? I’ve seen a few places where Alcina called Donna her sister, and it makes me feel really off.

And I’ve seen in a few fanarts, Donna technically older than the Dimitrescu sisters posed next to them like another sibling??

I would like to endorse the ship, but just the morality of everything is off centered for me. I rather not support weird incest…

So please if people could maybe clarify for me whether it would technically be okay for support this ship.. I’d appreciate it. If it isn’t okay, I have plans on making a fan character anyways, or I can take current characters and make a resident evil au or something, and ship them when Donna. (I have a character that honestly looks like a mix of Alcina and Bela, but by no means she’s relates to the franchise, lmao)

By no means I’m experienced in resident evil lore or the fandom, this is just coming from a newer fan of the series, and what I’ve seen so far.

I hadn't realized you watched the White Rabbit Fest event (I really should pay more attention to things). What'd you think of it? I loved the silly little outfits, and Ortho's thighs 👀

No worries, Anon! We never really talked about it, just started quietly posting stuff related to it on Ko-Fi lol So actually, thank you for giving me an opportunity to talk about this event!

First of all, yes, the outfits were indeed silly and adorable, I really loved the pastels and all the little accessories. I had a chance to pay closer attention to all the details (you’ll see later today...) and, as it always is with twst, I was stunned by how clever and fun the design choices are. But even just in general, they’re all super adorable. Silver is like a little mint rabbit soldier, Epel is the sweetest little thing that is almost offensively cute, Ortho’s thighs and a little snout are legendary lol And Deuce looks the best out of all of them, to be honest. Deuce’s mom’s design is also very nice, I love it when twst has designs that tells you everything you need to know about the character. The moment you see her you know exactly what kind of mom she is... I get it, Deuce, I wouldn’t want to see her cry either 🥲 She’s so hardworking and sweet.

The event itself was cute. I think it was very good in terms of learning more about Deuce. Of course, we already knew that he was a delinquent that had done a lot of messed-up stuff, but it’s one thing to hear that from Deuce. Seeing the consequences of his past actions with our own eyes is a whole different thing. People either talk shit about him, or are kind of scared of him, or just yell at him for being horrible. And Deuce can’t even argue with them because he feels like this is the treatment that he deserves, and that if he wants them to trust him or even just respect him as a human being again, he needs to earn it with his actions and not his words. He knows it, and he is willing to work for it, but it still sucks when people around you treat you this way even though you are already trying your best. Watching Deuce go through that gets frustrating and even heartbreaking at times, but it feels very real, and this is why you can’t really help but feel proud of Deuce when he just keeps trying instead of giving up because people only expect bad things from him.

I really love how his go-to was to aggressively confront that one delinquent who tried to harass his mom, but even then he managed to stay calm and challenge him to a race instead. Despite being teased about his cute silly outfit... Deuce is such a good boy :”)

I can’t believe NRC boys won for once... I guess the main rule of twst universe still works: bad guys always lose. Of course, our boys won’t be able to defeat the dwarfs, but if they manage to pick a fight with someone even worse than they are, then they have a chance..!

But also, what a delight to see Deuce show his “bad boy” side and tease and provoke the other guy. You just know this isn’t the first time he does that. I would love to see some of Deuce’s actual flashbacks...

The other boys were fun to watch too. Silver is still the sweetest twst boy, and it’s unusual but fun seeing him interacting with just random kohais he has really no relationship with (aside from him kinning Deuce for his relationship with his mom). Ortho’s and Epel’s ways to describe Vil while they were getting souvenirs for him was great. Honestly, there were a lot of fun moments.

But also a lot of moments that inspire unholy thoughts, if you know what I mean. The micro/macro thing with Deuce... Ortho’s obsession with acting as closely to a rabbit as possible... The delinquent guy simping for Deuce... Epel being washed away... That one police guy that Deuce remembers so fondly... Everyone crawling through small holes... This is too much.

Being otherkin means that you identify as something other than a human. That would mean animals, plants, objects, concepts, and a lot of other things. Sometimes it's a spiritual thing, sometimes it's a psychological thing, and sometimes there are other reasons.

A lot of people will say "kin" as a verb, as if they mean to relate to something, which is not correct. Those are the kinds of folks that steal otherkin language for their roleplay which is not good.

The otherkin community started around the 90s and has expanded to include a lot of different identities. Many of us do not consider ourselves human.

Hi! I think the answer here is an unequivocal…kind of! 🙂

They absolutely know some of that Silmarillion-style history because every once in a while they refer to it in their own lore. For example, in Appendix A Tolkien says the Rohirrim thought this about their great horses, the mearas: “that Béma (whom the Eldar call Oromë) brought their sire from West over Sea.” In that one phrase, we get confirmation that they knew 1) the identity of the Vala Oromë, 2) that he had an association with horses, and 3) that the Valar lived in the far west beyond the sea. So they’ve got clear familiarity with at least parts of that story, and I think that’s only natural.

For starters, their ancestors (the Rohirrim are kin to the House of Hador but settled further east and didn’t go all the way to Beleriand) lived through a lot of those early historical events. So when the elves were up to big deeds, the proto-Rohirrim would have either directly witnessed some of those deeds (for ex.: their immediate ancestors, the Northmen, were liberated from Sauron by Gil-galad at the end of the Second Age!) or heard about them as news made its way around Middle Earth. Those stories would have become part of their general histories and been passed on through the years, making their way eventually to Third Age Rohan (though sometimes incomplete or having been altered through repeated transmission).

In addition, although the Rohirrim as we know them didn’t really interact with elves and seemed to have lost some knowledge and understanding of them (see Éomer’s misconceptions about Galadriel and whether she is well intentioned), they weren’t total isolationists. They were best buddies with the Gondorians, who were the intellectual heirs of Númenor and, thus, knew all that Silmarillion stuff. And they had established relationships with both Gandalf and Saruman. So they had plenty of sources available to them for information about the elves’ ideas about the gods, the world, and the history of Middle Earth.

Unfortunately, I don’t think there’s a lot of textual evidence to clarify exactly *which* pieces of those elven stories the Rohirrim knew and believed. I’ve previously highlighted a few Silmarillion references, like Haleth and Aerin, to pop up in Rohan, but they tend to be references to the humans of the First Age rather than the elves or the Valar.

Of the examples you asked about, we can give a definite yes to Valinor (see above), but as for the Silmarils, the trees, or Glorfindel and the balrog in Gondolin, we could only speculate. The Rohirrim’s relatives, the Hadorians, were deeply tied up in the doings of the elves during the War of the Jewels – including the fall of Gondolin, since Tuor was a Hadorian – so I think it’s reasonable to assume that at least some of that made its way to them back then even without a Gondorian or Saruman or whoever telling them about it later. But I can’t produce any specific evidence for that!

If pressed, though, I’d say that the most highly educated of the Rohirrim have probably heard about most of those big ticket events, ideas and people, if only in an abbreviated or adulterated form (and they may not believe all of it to be true even if they’ve heard it). But they aren’t super focused on it anyway, because their primary interest would be the history and lore that’s most directly related to their own forebears, and that didn’t tend to intersect often with what the elves were up to.

DISCORD, THE MAD KIN OF CARNAGE (A Radioactive Calamity Of Love, Bombs & Gore and the Unnamed Original Works Trilogy)

Discord was a second-generation reality bender (or more commonly known as "Kin"), and one of the most devastatingly powerful as well. His very presence was capable of reverting anything and everything around him back to its basic essential form/s (until it became rusted, rotten, and/or dust and eventually nothing at all). Had technically been killed during the Extermination Purge War, however, Arcane Urias' Chapter of the Occult, a group of warlocks, liches and dark magic users that aimed to preserve ancient magic (regardless if it was forbidden or destructive) and bring back the Old Kin (which mostly consist of the extinct first, second and third generations, as well as some fourth) to rule over the Multiverse once again, had found a way to bring back Discord, in a universe where Earth had been ravaged by nuclear war. NOTE: This result kind of describes how Discord's second death more-or-less is like.

THE BAPTIST AND THE QUOKKA [JOHN SEED X NADI SINCLAIR] (Far Cry The Silver Chronicles)

While Nadi and John have this "loyally serving the other while yearning for each others love but beating around the bush due to bad timings and stuff and still caring and possessive of the other to an obsessively unhealthy degree"... I will have to say that Nadi's affection isn't John's only priority; Joseph and his family plus the project is John's focus and is probably what he would choose over Nadi. Nadi though views John as the person who gave her something to believe in again, to put her skill and faith in (especially after losing faith in the military and governments after the events of Call To Arms), so to her, Eden's Gate' faith is personified by John. But if either lose each one another, it will greatly impact the other's life.

HAOYU ANABUKI X ICARUS GALATOS (Life, Despair & Monsters)

Ah yes, another main LGBTQ+ couple I made to add to my collection alongside Sonya and Jennifer. Haoyu (Non-Binary, 25) and Icarus (Male, 23) fit each other well. At first both thought the other was a jerk. However, both got to know each other, related about their experiences with distant, long-lost and/or found family (Haoyu with their father, mother and Monika plus the Literature Club, and Icarus with his parents, siblings, alters and the Dupain-Cheng Family), coming to terms with their personal lives (Haoyu with their ability to open portals and travel through reality breaches, and Icarus plus his alters with the ability to switch dimensions with this magic fungus dude named Hatter whom one of the alters had eaten inadvertently on a dare), as well as near-death experiences (Haoyu with the Ruins of the Midnight Rise, and Icarus with Evermond Scowlzka trying to dissect him and his alters to get Hatter) plus their encounters with Sir Enigma Malvolio (Haoyu is Malvolio's foil and therefore targeted as a rival, and Icarus, while never meeting Malvolio until much later, had seen the aftereffects of Malvolio putting the essence of the Court King into a close friend of his, Marinette Dupain-Cheng). They also manage to work through each other's flaws; Icarus was reserved and arrogant but self-sacrificing (hence the requirement for his alters, Hatsukami Hinode and Xavier Tulip), and Haoyu was bold and selfish yet unambitious. Icarus teaches Haoyu how to be driven, pointing them towards a goal beneficial to not only them, but everyone, while Haoyu taught Icarus how to listen and take care of himself more, as well as be open-minded. Wherever they end up after the fight with the Ruins of the Midnight Rise, know that they're both at least together.

“So…” You trailed off, “Ruffnut, huh?”

“What?” Fishlegs asked, clutching a stack of papers to his chest. He looked a lot like a deer in headlights, eyes impossibly wide, pupils outlined by white sclera.

You wrinkled your brow. It felt like a cliche. You almost felt bad, but it wasn’t like you were trying to listen in. You couldn’t help but to hear, especially not if he read his stuff aloud.

“O-oh,” he squeaked bashfully, “Don’t mind it, please!”

If you were going to be completely honest, you were only guessing.

“It was good,” You said. You would have been incredibly shy in his place, so you were careful to be kind.

“Really?” Fishlegs asked, eyes darting back and forth.

Of course, you had just given him quite the scare. He scrambled to bring loose, yellowed paper closer to him even as you blinked emptily to yourself.

You were by a set of wooden lunch table-esque benches in a tight clearing, created by an awkward placing of a few rows of houses. You’d been doing work round the corner, lazily pulling up a small bucket of water from one of the wells there in one of the alleys.

It was very private, probably why Fishlegs had taken so quickly to it. 

“Yes.” You said.

His hands relaxed at the confirmation. And, as they did, some other thick papers slipped from his hands onto the table. You couldn’t see all of them very well, but a few of the writings were legible to you. 

They read this:

Beautiful morning,

Yellow, yellow hair

Like snot 

And, the next:

Raucous girl,

A slim, slender warrior,

Near the seawater

Fishlegs followed your eyes.

“I didn’t want to share those because t-the, uh, I was afraid the Snot bit would remind her of Snotlout.”

“That would be confusing,” You nodded along in agreement, trying to hide your wince, “So, what brings you out here?”

There was a long moment of silence between the two of you until he spoke.

“Reading it aloud is a part of my process. I’m, ah, trying to build up some confidence.”  He uttered sheepishly. 

“Why don’t you run it by me before you share it with her, then?” You asked, settling on one of the long wooden seats across from Fishlegs, folding your hands together in your lap. You dropped the small water bucket you were carrying as you did so, your arms sighing in relief. Water was surprisingly heavy.

“Are you sure?”

You nodded. It was a nice, sunny day out for once. Some poetry certainly wouldn’t hurt. In fact, you hoped it might add to the nice ambiance.

“Well, here goes,” He said, unsurely. You had to look up to see his face when he spoke. Thankfully, he didn’t block out the sun. You were facing the wrong direction for that. 

As soon as possible, you shoved the small bucket of water into the back of your mind. You’d rather not have to deal with it, now or later. You wanted very badly to abandon it, hoping that if you had, by chance, forgotten it, then it might absolve you of your guilt in dropping your requested task.

“My lanky love, ” Fishlegs began.  “I adore the way you jab, wrestle and prance, brawling with your kin of the same yoke, so similar. But how can I compare you to such an esque buffoon? You are more spunky, knotted and grappling. “

You wrinkled your nose in puzzlement. It turned out Fishlegs had a very loud speaking voice when he really wanted to have it.

“To wrestle- wrestling, that is-” He explained, perhaps catching onto your befuddlement. Not many people were familiar with how new you were to the language, though it wasn’t much of a secret. It was more because of a lack of care than anything else. 

“Oh,” You said, as he continued on. You wondered when Fishlegs had figured it out. You two certainly hadn’t talked before then. Maybe. You did remember this one time a while ago, but it was very brief.

“What does ‘yoke’ mean?”

”-I, ah-, joined together- ‘Yoke,’ that is- And, anyways- And let me count the ways in which I love your brassy hair and torso-”

As he spoke, you brought your arms up onto the table, leaning on your elbows and letting your head slump onto your closed fist as you relaxed into your seat. It was a bit hard to understand given the difference between English and Norse in sentence structure, but you thought you got the gist of it.

“-Tis not endemic, nor appling. Wanting your ovular face fills my days, and my nights. My heart beats for you by a grotesque tempo-”

Your eyes unfocused and refocused, somewhat distracted as you picked up something from behind Fishlegs. You hoped to seem involved. You were, and you hung onto every word, doing your best to keep up, though there were a few words you hadn’t quite gotten the hang of yet. Like ‘ovular,’ ‘grotesque’ and ‘tempo.’

However, you weren’t sure if it was appropriate for you to stare at his face the whole time, or if you were supposed to look elsewhere.

It was at this point that Fishlegs began to sound nervous, glancing somewhere off to the side, out of the realm of your vision. You wondered why.

“I think of you during each turn of the seasons, led by Sumarr in the mornings and Vetr in the evenings-”

As he tapered off, you noticed the flickering of a black tail from the corner of your eye.

“Though I must venture yonder with a potted heart, please remember my intrepid words whilst we're apart…”

You wrinkled your brow at Fishlegs confusedly.

“Was that good?” Fishlegs hedged nervously, about three octaves above normal. You stared at him for a moment, before you realized you had very much forgotten to react.

You weren’t sure if it was poetry, exactly. You weren’t as well-versed in the art of it as he was, but it seemed alright. 

“It was nice,” You said lowly, nodding your head. “I’m sure she’ll like it.”

Then, curiously, you turned your head, just in time to watch as Toothless strode forth to join his rider, standing behind one of the stacked rock walls along the edge of the clearing. He looked sort of grumpy. Both dragon and rider, that was. But it also looked like Hiccup was finally back in green, which was nice. You were starting to miss it, so you took that as a win.

“Oh, hey, Hiccup.” You waved, standing up and yawning. You put your hand over your mouth in an effort to cover it. 

You wondered how long Hiccup had been standing there, gaping. You wondered if he was constipated, or something. 

Fishlegs looked behind himself, like he was in trouble, at Hiccup who was standing behind the wall, brows furrowed, looking slightly scandalized, Toothless standing menacingly on his hind legs. Then he looked at you, and spent a while longer, eyes darting between the two. 

Then, with all the force of a hurricane, you came to a startling realization.

“Oh, no- this isn’t-He wasn’t-”

“It’s not what it looks like!” Fishlegs crumpled his papers to his chest, squeaking loudly.
