Late Music Monday, songs for characters from The UnTitledverse, The Silver Chronicles and Life, Despair & Monsters. Not in that order though. Partners-In-Law Meme for my V, Judy and River. Songs and template below the cut:
Welp, here I go rambling about the parallels of Silva and Paul once more. Alright so, I think by now we've mostly gotten well-aware that Silva (and Paul) have not had good experiences in regards to religion. Most certainly due to the fact they were both born in a cult that abides by puritanism and fascist beliefs, which, by the time of Paul's birth, also gained a militaristic mindset with the introduction of the Enforcers when Adam took charge as their Prophet. The Congregation of Adam's Guard, on surface level, preaches and demands virtue and righteousness from its followers, to effectively become morally pure under their Prophet's watching eyes, especially if they wanted to see Paradise after the world falls to the Collapse when all seven Frozen Omens melt. To not adhere to or display any other qualities other than their "norm" was punished with extreme force, and by the time Adam came into charge, with death. Which explains why under the surface of the cult's message, is a foundation rooted in colonialism and xenophobia, tied up in a bow of hypocrisy that is used to justify all kinds of depraved and heinous actions the Congregation and their Prophet allows. Silva and Paul are both victims of the Congregations persecutions and discrimination. Both had been under the God-fearing foot of the Congregation, with Paul being amongst the segregated Tumultites and Silva enduring under Adam Omar's terror. Both Silva and Paul eventually reject the Congregation, (a) because the Congregation wants them dead, (b) long-term wise, especially under Adam's tyranny, the Congregation and the society it has built through fearmongering cannot survive the inevitable collapse from the insufficient resources that protects them from the environment and the spark of rebellion due to the less fortunate citizens living under the pressure of becoming "pure" and (c) the Congregation sucks. Silva and Paul instead adopt the Tumultite community's values and beliefs, especially of their first revolutionary leader, Jannah, who Paul especially aspires to be like. Finally, Paul and Silva, once in the modern world, while not believers in the predominant religions (especially in America), do not hold any ill-thought towards such groups; Silva rather admires some of the lessons spoken and wishes she could have the same comfort that their God gives to others, meanwhile Paul is only hostile to people who hide behind God to harm and oppress others... otherwise he's pretty agnostic to the whole thing. One things clear though; their experiences with the Congregation had irreversibly shattered their perceptions of being able to seek any kind of comfort under any deity, especially with the associated pain that haunts them to this day. The song below can fit either one of Silva or Paul or even both.

"First things first I'ma say all the words inside my head I'm fired up and tired of the way that things have been, oh-ooh The way that things have been, oh-ooh
Second things second Don't you tell me what you think that I could be I'm the one at the sail, I'm the master of my sea, oh-ooh The master of my sea, oh-ooh
I was broken from a young age Taking my sulking to the masses Writing my poems for the few That look at me, took to me, shook to me, feeling me Singing from heartache, from the pain Taking my message from the veins Speaking my lesson from the brain Seeing the beauty through the...
Pain! You made me a, you made me a believer, believer Pain! You break me down, you build me up, believer, believer Pain! Oh, let the bullets fly, oh, let them rain My life, my love, my drive, it came from... Pain! You made me a, you made me a believer, believer
Third things third Send a prayer to the ones up above All the hate that you've heard has turned your spirit to a dove, oh-ooh Your spirit up above, oh-ooh
I was choking in the crowd Building my rain up in the cloud Falling like ashes to the ground Hoping my feelings, they would drown But they never did, ever lived, ebbing and flowing Inhibited, limited till it broke open And rained down It rained down like...
Pain! You made me a, you made me a believer, believer Pain! You break me down, you build me up, believer, believer Pain! Oh, let the bullets fly, oh, let them rain My life, my love, my drive, it came from... Pain! You made me a, you made me a believer, believer
Last things last By the grace of the fire and the flames You're the face of the future, the blood in my veins, oh-ooh The blood in my veins, oh-ooh
But they never did, ever lived, ebbing and flowing Inhibited, limited till it broke open And rained down It rained down like...
Pain! You made me a, you made me a believer, believer Pain! You break me down, you build me up, believer, believer Pain! Oh, let the bullets fly, oh, let them rain My life, my love, my drive, it came from... Pain! You made me a, you made me a believer, believer!
Eden "Evie" Bloodleech, formerly known as Evie Jackson, was picked up and became an experiment for Sir Enigma Malvolio. Unfortunately, she survived the process and became one of his rare human successes, which was a mindset that was further encouraged by her apparent likeness for her "rebirth" and led him to continue his absurd quest to evolve humans to a level he sees as perfect for them, allowing Evie to officially join the Ruins of the Midnight Rise as both a valuable member and a prized success story. He sent her out in his stead for diplomatic purposes, allowing her to use her abilities to charm potential investors and allies to further his illicit research. Eventually she was sent back to her original universe in my An Invite To Wine And Dine WIP (set in The Invitation) to infiltrate the Alexander Family in order to dethrone Dracula and take the three families he held control under her wing... or rather tendril. And... she's rather a show-off (byproduct of being one of Malvolio's rare favorites I guess):
youtube
"There's only two types of people in the world The ones that entertain, and the ones that observe Well, baby, I'm a put-on-a-show kinda girl Don't like the backseat, gotta be first (Oh, oh) I'm like the ringleader, I call the shots (Call the shots) I'm like a firecracker, I make it hot
When I put on a show I feel the adrenaline moving through my veins Spotlight on me and I'm ready to break I'm like a performer, the dance floor is my stage Better be ready, hope that you feel the same
All eyes on me in the center of the ring Just like a circus When I crack that whip, everybody gon' trip Just like a circus Don't stand there watching me, follow me Show me what you can do Everybody let go, we make a dance floor Just like a circus."
And finally, a I'm sure I've used before, but am gonna do it again because "I'm So Sorry" not only slaps, but fits the main antagonist of The UnTitledverse's first saga, Edward Carmine, quite well, if you squint. He's a menace to society and should not be in charge of any leadership roles, even as a CEO. Edward's the type of man to burn all his bridges and blame a child he manipulated for it. Diabolical man that just won't get the hint and stay dead. Extremely petty and arrogant, as antagonists like him should be. By far, amongst one of my favourite antagonist OCs (though that's probably because he's one of the first ones to be developed). Listen below:
youtube
"About time for anyone telling you off for all your deeds No sign the roaring thunder stopped in cold to read (No time) I get mine and make no excuses Waste of precious breath (No time) The sun shines on everyone Everyone, love yourself to death
So you gotta fire up, you gotta let go You'll never be loved till you've made your own You gotta face up, you gotta get yours You never know the top till you get too low
A son of a stepfather A son of a, I'm so sorry A son of a stepfather A son of a, I'm so sorry
No lies and no deceiving, man is what he loves I keep tryin' to conceive that death is from above (No time) I get mine and make no excuses Waste of precious breath (No time) The sun shines on everyone Everyone, love yourself to death
So you gotta fire up, you gotta let go You'll never be loved till you've made your own You gotta face up, you gotta get yours You never know the top till you get too low
A son of a stepfather A son of a, I'm so sorry A son of a stepfather A son of a, I'm so sorry
Life isn't always what you think it'd be Turn your head for one second and the tables turn And I know, I know that I did you wrong But will you trust me when I say that I'll make it up to you Somehow? Somehow?"
And lastly, a Partners-In-Law meme for my V (actual name Min-Ji "Vasilisa" Choi), her new partner Judy Álvarez and her amicable ex River Ward. [Note: I'm assuming affection refers to their feelings for their mutual partner. Also I never romanced River and am just taking taking whatever information I can recall or from the internet in regards to his preferences and sexuality and the information I've found (especially the wiki compared to everything else) is quite conflicting so I'm going with Bi-curious]:

May 4th 2024 - "I Leave"
"To my cheating wife, I leave," the note read, paper yellowed and stained with splotches of old tears.
I tap the note against the rotting wood, leaning against the dressing table as my weary eyes focused on the ink, "I leave because of your dishonesty. Your denials. Your shameless philandering with your co-workers."
"I leave, for your disregard for our future. For the plans we made. For using your talent of acting against me to live out your vices and scandals." I huff, fingers pinching against my nose as I shook my head. The pipes out in the hall were rattling and groaning. No danger.
"Was anything we had real? Was I merely a gold mine to you? It doesn't matter now. I'm leaving you. Your lies. Your mask. I leave now and forever. I leave you, Emily." I raise a brow at the lack of signature from the writer. It was odd, but if the note was genuine, then I suppose her husband wouldn't bother with formalities.
I turn my attention to the rest of the room, cringing at the repeated phrase etched in the walls: "I'm real!"
I couldn't deny its effect; given what Emily has become now.

The Plot Synopses of The UnTitledverse Masterpost
Note: May update over time. TW: A few possible lackluster descriptions.
The Perfect Storm saga
Jurassic World: Before The Storm (Jurassic World) - Lisa Cobalt finds herself in a predicament; she is the legal guardian to her foster brother, Joaquin, but cannot financially support him and herself. That is, until an opportunity to fill the role of a paleo-veterinarian at the marvelous Jurassic World presents itself. However, not is all as it seems. When an abnormal dinosaur makes a sudden appearance, it brings with it mistrust among the staff, and a conspiracy that shrouds an inevitable doom. Life gifts lessons and fortune. Those who do not heed these lessons are fools bound to repeat history.
A Blast In The Past - In 1936, you return to your old workplace at Carmine Studios, your old partner wanting to have a reunion. What you did not anticipate was the darkness that welled up from the consequences of your departure. Live or die, trust or betray, kill or be killed, again and again, follow the path laid out for you, and dwell in the regret of crossing me.
FNAF: Ask Goldie Anything (Five Nights At Freddy's) - Goldie and the Fazbear Gang (both the Originals and the Toys) are asked questions by the readers on Wattpad, AO3, Tumblr and fanfiction net (and possibly more), influencing the plot into varying directions. Based on Grawolfquinn's FNAF comic Ask Goldie Anything, but with a twist.
Adapt To Survive (Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous) - Left behind on Isla Nublar, Joaquin Cobalt traverses the years spent on the dinosaur populated island, with the reluctant help of an industrialist by the name of Edward Carmine. Indo recovers from his fight with the Indominus, grieving the loss of his pack.
Jurassic World: Into The Eye Of The Storm (Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom) - Isla Nublar is on the brink of a volcanic destruction, so when mercenaries make their way to the island to collect the dinosaurs, Joaquin, Edward and Indo take separate paths to get off the burning island. All these paths lead them to the same Manor on the Mainland.
The Tale Of Mario Emmet (FNAF: The Silver Eyes) - Charlie and her friends return to Hurricane, Utah for the memorial of Michael Brooks and the children who went missing at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. When exploring the old pizzeria, they discover the ruined building is being used as a nest... and the creature is not too far away.
The Aftermath Equation (Jurassic World) - Evading death once more and tying up loose ends, Edward Carmine traces his obsession to the Dolomite Mountains of Italy, in the Biosyn Sanctuary run by Lewis Dodgson. He offers his services and funding. Meanwhile, Maisie learns more about the Joaquin who saved her.
The Adventures of Debra Holmes And Her Amazing Space Friend Mario Emmet - Set before The Tale Of Mario Emmet, in 1988, a Texan girl by the name of Debra Holmes makes the discovery of an alien shapeshifter who she refers to as "Mario Emmet" taking residence on her homestead. The beginning of a wholesome and tragic friendship, both human and alien have the time of their lives while Mario hides away from the U.S Government.
SPECIALS - A novelisation of a roleplay (that I have yet to make), in which the plot is not a priority and is merely a fun and chaotic celebration of several holidays hosted by Calvin Dearing... right?
The Dark Awakening - The sequel to A Blast In The Past, you have had enough with the narrator's torment and venture to break the cycle out of the purgatory he's left you in. A battle between first-person POV and second-person POV, hoping to finally reach third-person POV.
Jurassic World: The Perfect Storm (Jurassic World: Dominion) - The finale to the Jurassic World arc, Edward makes his final move to uncover the Aftermath Equation from the mechanical beast that keeps knowledge within itself, in order to evade death once more. It is up to Joaquin and Maisie to not only sabotage Edward, but also ruin Lewis Dodgson and Biosyn's plans until help arrives.
Honour Thy Father (Transformers Prime) - After a botched mission that held uncertain revelations, Autobot Arcee ventures across Earth to figure out her origins, with the aid of a droid by the name of Timekeeper, whose Time Watch had fallen into enemy hands.
Walking Fate Season 1 (The Walking Dead Game Season 1) - Lee Everett is given a second chance at life, in a world where the dead roam. He takes a girl by the name of Clementine under her wing, and they join up with more survivors as they endure the new world where death can be around every corner.
More Than An IT (IT (2017)) - IT has gone by many names, many forms. ITs' most favorable form being "Pennywise the Dancing Clown". IT has spent centuries devouring the fear and flesh of children. But what can it do against a child that has no fear of it?
Trust In Us (TFP) - The Autobots are lured to a possible energon lab buried underneath the Grand Canyon. The Decepticons had also followed the lab's signal, engaging in combat when meeting the Autobots. Decepticon Communications Officer Soundwave manages to enter the lab first, with Arcee hot on his heels. Events take a turn for the worse, as both Autobot and Decepticon find themselves locked inside a stronghold that's sole purpose was not to create energon, but keep mechanical horrors from reaching the surface. And they have the capacity to deceive.
Not The Strangest Thing (Stranger Things) - Hawkins, Indiana is a hot spring for supernatural occurrences. Follow a party of kids as they traverse the sinister realm that has broken into Hawkins, with government conspiracies and the Cold War looming over an opportunity to weaponize the creatures on the other side.
Gravity Falls Gets Weirder (Gravity Falls) - Twins Dipper and Mabel Pines are sent to Gravity Falls, Oregon, to spend the summer with their Great Uncle, or "Grunkle", Stan at his tourist attraction; the Mystery Shack. Here they attempt to make friends with the locals, and even two additional teen newcomers; Jack Bolt and Maze Woods. But after the discovery of a journal, Dipper and Mabel's summer vacation is flipped upside down and inside out once Gravity Falls reveals a more supernatural presence amongst the populace.
Demonic Clown Guardian (IT (2017)) - Georgie Denbrough makes friends with a lost clown by the name of Pennywise; and he lives in the sewers too! The Losers Club... take time to get used to this peculiar clown.
DOOMed (DOOM (2016)) - The demonic forces of Hell invade the UAC facility stationed on Mars, and in a desperate gamble, Samuel Hayden awakens the Doom Slayer to wipe them out and kill the progenitor behind the invasion; Olivia Pierce. The Slayer and his allies however discover that the Demonic forces have made another pact with the supernatural forces of the Wicked.

Walking Fate Season 2 (TWDG Season 2) - After being separated with her group, Clementine fends for herself until she comes across survivors living in a cabin. This fateful encounter leads Clementine to face new enemies, meet familiar faces and the breakdown of a friendship thought to be unbreakable.

To protect what remains of his family, Javi allies with a group co-lead by Clementine, despite the bounty on her head.

More Than Bargained For? (FNAF) - Lillian "Lena" Elliot is hired as the newest Night Guard for Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. Fazbear Entertainment believed she'd end up like the other guards... only to prove that she isn't trapped with the animatronics; the animatronics are trapped with her.

However, he did not anticipate K.I.L.L.J.O.Y's capacity for strong emotions such as rage and the desire to dominate.

What if Clementine died instead of Lee Everett? What if Abigail Emmet never learned to appreciate human culture, and raised Mario in her species traditions? And much more you will be able to ask before and after The UnTitledverse and the other series ends.

A heartfelt story about self-identity, healing, and regaining a piece of humanity back.
Hitman: Evangeline (Hitman: Absolution) - After leaving the circus life behind, Evangeline hitches up with the International Contract Agency as an independent hitman they can hire. Her first target is a rogue agent by the name of Diana Burnwood. What follows afterwards is an example on how not to fail your task successfully.

I love how good the ithaca saga characterizes Penelope. And I'm not talking about her being super smart and disgusting loyal, I'm talking about her being so clearly SPARTAN.
Like this saga was so wild and Penelope the whole time was just like, "Oh.. anyways-". I genuinely never seen a character so unbothered by pure insanity in every song they are in (which was only two😭)
Penelope in the challenge: "A supernatural storm just appeared dangerously close to our kingdom in an instant and left just as fast.... My husband must be here!"
Odysseus in the final song: "I treated people as subhuman and murdered hundreds."
Penelope: "Can you pick up our wedding bed?"
Odysseus: "... did you not hea-"
Penelope: "No, I heard. Now pick up the bed."
Odysseus: "No! I worked so hard on that bed!"
Penelope: "Perfect! I still love you."
Odysseus: "I'm a mass murdere-"
Penelope: "And I breathe air. Who cares?"
(Bonus: Penelope was in her room listening to the dying screams of the suitors and was probably like, "Sounds like the boys are having fun😊.")

What hits me hardest about the Ithaca saga is Penelope. Like we’ve spent the entire musical so far with Odysseus - his need to get back to her, his nemory of her love as a way to get through trials, his obsession about being in her arms, his staunch loyalty to her and his vows etc.
We get to hear from Penelope for the first time and it turns out these two are perfect for each other in that both of them are Freaks. Like she’s been waiting 20yrs, she’s fine facing constant threats to her person, she’s weaving and unweaving a shroud, she saw a storm and is sure it’s him, she’s like “string the toughest longbow in existence but also send the arrow through 12 pieces of metal to prove you’re the best I know you can’t”, she won’t take anyone talking shit about her man including her man, “oh you aren’t my husband? Move our wedding bed that’s literally carved out of a rooted tree then I guess”
Like thank god neither of them gave up on the other - no one else was going to match their freak.

˚₊‧꒰ა Chapter 16 ໒꒱ ‧₊˚
୨୧┇Pairing: Telemachus x fem!reader
୨୧┇notes: WRITTEN PRE-ITHACA SAGA. Don’t come for me guys. ALSO YOU GUYS MIGHT NEED TO READ BACKSTORY CONTENT ON ANTINOUS AND READER TO FULLY UNDERSTAND THIS CHAPTER.
────୨ৎ──── ────୨ৎ──── ───
The sun streamed into the hall as Antinous lounged in a chair, his boots propped up on a low table. For once, he was in a rare, cheerful mood. A servant brought over a fresh goblet of wine, which he accepted with a wide grin. Eurymachus sat across from him, lazily tossing a few dice onto the table.
“You know,” Antinous began, swirling his wine, “it’s a good day. The food’s decent, the weather’s perfect, and for once, no one’s done anything to piss me off.” He leaned back, exhaling contentedly. “I might even go easy on the servants today.” Eurymachus raised an eyebrow, clearly unimpressed. “How merciful of you,” he said dryly, rolling his dice again. “You’re practically a saint.”
Antinous snorted. “Don’t push it. What’s with the sarcasm? Is something up your ass today? Though, I wouldn’t be surprised.”
“Not at all,” Eurymachus replied annoyed, though a sly grin creeping onto his face. “Actually, I’m just thinking about how you might not stay in such a good mood for long.” Antinous frowned, his good humor faltering just slightly. “What the hell does that mean?” Eurymachus leaned forward, resting his elbows on the table. “Well, it’s just that…you know how I hinted the other day about your sister?”
Antinous stiffened, his cheerfulness evaporating. “Yeah? And I beat you at arm wrestling, so you’re supposed to stop talking in riddles like you’re about to reveal you’re Odysseus in disguise.”
Eurymachus smirked. “Right, right. But I couldn’t let it go, and, well…” He paused dramatically, clearly enjoying himself.
Antinous sat up straighter, his eyes narrowing. “Well, what? Spit it out, Eurymachus.”
Eurymachus shrugged nonchalantly, feigning disinterest. “Let’s just say I’ve seen her and Telemachus getting real close lately. Closer than I thought they’d be.” Antinous stared at him, his expression unreadable. “What do you mean, close?”
“Oh, you know,” Eurymachus said casually, inspecting his nails. “Sneaking off together, whispering in corners, kissing—”
“WHAT?!” Antinous bellowed, jumping to his feet so quickly his chair toppled over.
Eurymachus leaned back, unfazed, his smirk widening. “Relax, I’m just saying what I saw. A little kiss between your sweet sister and Telemachus—nothing to lose your head over.” Antinous’s face turned crimson, his hands clenched into fists at his sides. “You’re lying,” he growled, his voice low and dangerous. “Y/N wouldn’t—she hates him!”
Eurymachus shrugged again, still maddeningly calm. “Doesn’t look like hate to me.” He leaned in, lowering his voice conspiratorially. “I mean, if I were you, I’d be a little worried about where else that might lead.” Antinous slammed his fist on the table, the sound reverberating through the hall. “I’m going to kill him.” Eurymachus chuckled, clearly amused. “Oh, come on. Don’t be so dramatic. Maybe it’s love?”
Antinous grabbed the front of Eurymachus’s tunic, pulling him forward so their faces were inches apart. “If you’re lying to me, I swear—”
“I’m not lying,” Eurymachus interrupted, his tone still infuriatingly casual. “But hey, don’t take my word for it. Why don’t you ask Y/N yourself?” Antinous shoved him back, his chest heaving as he glared at Eurymachus. Without another word, he stormed out of the hall, his mind racing and his temper barely contained. Eurymachus leaned back in his chair, watching him go with a satisfied smirk.
“This is going to be fun,” he giggled to himself, reaching for his goblet.
˚₊‧꒰ა ☆ ໒꒱ ‧₊˚
Antinous stormed down the halls of the palace, his footsteps echoing like thunder. His jaw was tight, his fists clenched, and his chest heaved with anger. He didn’t bother knocking when he reached his sister’s room, instead slamming the door open so hard it ricocheted off the wall.
Y/N, sitting on her bed with tear streaked cheeks, jumped at the sudden intrusion. She hastily wiped her face, trying to hide her vulnerability, but her red, puffy eyes betrayed her.
“What the hell, Antinous?” she snapped, her voice hoarse but sharp.
Antinous didn’t waste time with pleasantries. “Don’t ‘what the hell’ me!” he shouted, stepping into the room and slamming the door behind him. “What is this I hear about you and Telemachus? Eurymachus told me everything.”
Her stomach dropped. Her face turned pale, and then red with frustration. “What!? He promised! That nosy bastard needs to learn how to keep his mouth shut,” she muttered, standing up. Antinous pointed an accusing finger at her. “Don’t you dare try to deflect! Is it true? You’ve been sneaking around with him?”
Her lip trembled, but she masked it with anger. “So what if I have?” she shot back, her voice rising. “What’s it to you, Antinous?”
“What’s it to me?!” Antinous roared, his face contorting in disbelief. “I’m your brother, Y/N! You’re supposed to have some dignity—some respect for yourself!”
“Respect?” Pandora scoffed bitterly, crossing her arms. “You think sneering at servants, bullying Telemachus, and drinking yourself stupid every night counts as respectable behavior?”
“This isn’t about me!” Antinous snapped, his face flushing. “It’s about you—and how you’ve humiliated yourself and me by running after that spineless boy!”
She clenched her fists, her body shaking with anger. “Don’t you dare call him spineless! He’s more of a man than half the fools in this palace—including you!” Antinous flinched as if slapped. His lips curled into a snarl. “Oh, so now you’re in love with him, is that it? What, are you going to run off with him to Pylos? Sparta?, leave your blood behind for some fantasy romance?”
Bee throat tightened, and her voice cracked. “He’s already gone.” Antinous blinked, his fury momentarily dampened by the raw pain in her voice. “Gone?”
“He sailed this morning,” she said, her tone wobbling as fresh tears filled her eyes. “And I had to watch him go, knowing he might never come back.” Antinous stood in stunned silence for a moment before the anger returned. “Good riddance,” he muttered. “At least one good thing happened today.”
Her head snapped up, and she marched forward, jabbing her finger into his chest. “Don’t you dare say that!” she hissed. “You don’t know anything about him, about what he’s been through, what he’s trying to do! You just see him as a threat to your stupid courting games.” Antinous slapped her hand away, his expression darkening. “He is a threat. A threat to you, to us, to the order of things. And you’re too blinded by your pathetic feelings to see it!”
She shoved him, hard enough to make him stumble back a step. “You don’t get to decide what I feel, Antinous! You don’t own me!” Antinous steadied himself, his chest heaving with rage. “You’re acting like a child,” he spat.
“And you’re acting like a tyrant!” She screamed back, her voice breaking. The room fell into a tense, suffocating silence. Both of them stood there, glaring at each other, their breathing heavy.
Finally, Antinous shook his head, his expression a mix of anger and disappointment. “You’re going to regret this, Y/N. I promise you. You think this is all a game, don’t you?” he growled, his voice low but trembling with emotion. She flinched, wiping her tears, but the sight of her crying didn’t deter him. If anything, it seemed to fan the flames.
“Do you even remember?” he said, his voice rising. “Do you even remember who was there for you when we had nothing?” She looked at him, her lips trembling, but she didn’t respond.
“I was the one who fed you when we were hungry!” Antinous shouted, pointing to his chest. “I was the one who went without so you could have enough! I put you first every single time, Y/N!” Her tears fell faster, and she shook her head, trying to block him out, but he wouldn’t stop.
“When we ran away from that skank we called our mother, when we had nothing but scraps and the clothes on our backs, who do you think kept us alive? Who do you think protected you, fought for you, made sure you had a future?”
“Antinous, stop,” she whispered, her voice choked.
“No!” he snapped, his eyes blazing. “You need to hear this. You need to understand that I am your blood. Not Telemachus. Not some stupid boy who doesn’t know the first thing about you or what we’ve been through. Me.” She pressed her hands to her ears, shaking her head, but Antinous grabbed her wrists, forcing her to look at him.
“I’m the one who took care of you,” he said, his voice raw now, breaking under the weight of his emotions. “I’m the one who sacrificed for you. And this—this is how you repay me? Running around with Telemachus like none of that ever happened? Like I don’t even matter?”
She yanked her wrists free, her face twisted in pain. “You do matter, Antinous! But you can’t control me! I’m not a child anymore!”
“You’ll always be my little sister,” he shot back. “And as long as I’m alive, I’ll protect you—even from yourself, even if it means I have to fight you on this!”
“I don’t need your protection!” She screamed, her voice breaking as she shoved him again. “I don’t need you to fight my battles anymore, Antinous! I can take care of myself!” Antinous staggered back, his expression torn between anger and hurt. For a moment, he didn’t say anything, his chest heaving as he stared at her.
Then, in a voice softer but no less intense, he said, “You think you can take care of yourself? Fine. Go ahead. But don’t come crying to me when that boy breaks your heart—or worse, gets you killed. Because he will, Y/N. He’s going to leave you behind, just like his father left him.” She gasped as if he’d slapped her, and her tears came harder.
Antinous turned away, his face hard and unreadable. “I was always there for you,” he said quietly, his back to her now. “But if you don’t want me anymore, fine. I won’t waste my time.” Her sobs were cut short by a sudden surge of anger. She pushed herself up from the bed, her body trembling as she shouted after him, her voice raw and broken.
“And what about you?” she wailed, her words spilling out like a dam bursting. “You want to stand here and act like the perfect brother, like you’ve done everything for me—but you didn’t!” Antinous stopped in his tracks, his back still turned to her. His shoulders tensed, but he didn’t move.
“You fed me, you protected me, fine!” Pandora cried. “But you want to talk about sacrifices? What about when you started leaving me? What about all those nights you disappeared into the streets, chasing after random whores and leaving me alone? What about when you stopped caring, Antinous?”
His head tilted slightly, but he didn’t turn around.
“You want to talk about blood and loyalty?” Her voice cracked as fresh tears streamed down her face. “You weren’t there anymore! You were too busy being a selfish, shitty brother to notice that I needed you!” That did it. In a flash, Antinous spun around, his face a storm of fury and pain. He crossed the room in two long strides, grabbed Y/N by the collar of her tunic, and yanked her close.
“Shut the fuck up,” he snarled, his voice low and dangerous.
Y/N froze, her breath hitching as she looked into his wild, furious eyes. For a moment, she saw the boy he used to be—the one who shielded her from danger, who promised her they’d survive no matter what. But that boy was gone, replaced by a man consumed by pride and disdainfulness.
“You think I neglected you?” Antinous hissed, his grip tightening just enough to make her flinch. “You think I didn’t notice? I noticed everything.”
She tried to pull back, but he held her in place. “Antinous—”
“You don’t get to talk to me like that,” he growled, his voice trembling. “Not after everything I’ve done for you. Not after everything I’ve given up for you.” She swallowed hard, her hands gripping his wrists as she tried to steady herself. “Let go of me.”
For a moment, it looked like he might not. His grip stayed firm, his chest heaving as he stared her down. But then, with a sharp exhale, he released her, pushing her back slightly as if disgusted—with her or himself, she couldn’t tell. She stumbled, clutching her collar as she glared at him, tears still streaming down her face. “You don’t get to treat me like this,” she whispered, her voice shaking. “Not anymore.”
Antinous ran a hand through his hair, his expression a mix of frustration and regret. “And you don’t get to throw away everything we’ve worked for over some boy,” he said coldly. “Grow up, Y/N.”
Antinous paced furiously outside her room after slamming the door behind him, but something about her broken sobs pierced through his anger. He clenched his fists, muttering curses under his breath before turning back and barging into the room again.
Y/N, still slumped against the bedpost, flinched at the sound of the door crashing open. Her tear streaked face lifted, her eyes red and puffy, as Antinous stood in the doorway, his face a mask of fury. “You want to play this game?” he snapped, stepping closer. “Fine. You think you’re so strong now, don’t you? So independent, so grown up.” His voice dripped with venom. She stiffened, wiping her face with trembling hands. “Antinous—”
“No, let me finish,” he interrupted, his tone sharp. “If you’re so desperate to abandon me, your own brother, the one person who’s always been there for you, then fine. Let’s see how well you do without me.”
Her eyes widened, and she opened her mouth to retort, but he cut her off again, pointing a finger at her. “You want freedom, Y/N? You’ve got it. But don’t come crying to me when the suitors start mocking you—when they say things to your face that you can’t handle.”
Her heart sank, but she forced herself to stand.
Antinous snapped, his voice rising. “You think they don’t already talk about you behind your back? About how you’re just another piece of meat for them to eye and dream? Do you think they respect you because you can throw a few punches?”
“Shut up,” she hissed, her hands balling into fists.
He laughed bitterly, his voice cruel. “What’s the matter? Can’t take the truth? Well, here’s another one for you: the next time they mock you, even if it’s right in front of me, I won’t step in. You’re so strong, right? Handle it yourself.” Her breath hitched, and for a moment, she looked like she might break all over again. But she held her ground, her chin trembling as she glared at him.
Antinous mocked, leaning closer, his face twisted with anger and hurt. “You’ve made it perfectly clear you don’t need me anymore. So why should I waste my time protecting someone who doesn’t even care about me?” Her knees felt weak, but she refused to let him see how much his words stung. She squared her shoulders, her voice trembling with defiance. “If that’s how you really feel, then maybe I don’t need your protection.”
Antinous stared at her for a long moment, his chest heaving as he tried to rein in his temper. Finally, he scoffed and turned on his heel, heading for the door.
“Good luck, Y/N,” he said coldly, not looking back. “You’re going to need it.”
And with that, he stormed out, leaving her standing alone, her tears threatening to spill over once more.

Any suggestions on getting into Storm centered comics? what should i read if i wanna understand her upcoming solo? thank u so much !
So you're looking to get into Marvel's greatest character? I got you 🤝
Ok so this is a very daunting question because 1-Storm's character very organically develops all throughout the Claremont run which is like...300 issues of "old" comic books. 2- I'm not all that caught up in the 2000s and 2010s comics so I have a huge gaping blind spot.
But if I were to suggest important issues to get her deal as a character and to prime yourself on her inner conflicts for Storm (2024) here are my suggestions (mostly 70s-80s focused because that's when she has her most major character arcs):
(in blue the ESSENTIAL reads, remember these are team comics, so not always 100% Storm)
My quick Storm (ororo Munroe) reading guide:
Tumblr media
Giant size X-Men #1 (1975)
Classic era:
Tumblr media
Her first comic book appearance
Uncanny X-Men (UXM) #113
It's got a quick Ororo scene that personally, made me fall in love with the character
UXM #102
Ororo's origin story revealed!
UXM #145, #146 and #147
Her first meeting with Doom who will appear in her solo and her "Rogue form" that will also be explored in the solo!
UXM #150
Storm being essential to Magneto's character development and overall a badass! Storm and Magneto have a very interesting relationship which begins here.
UXM #154-#155
Read this if you want insight into Storm and Cyclops' great friendship (they're siblings your honour!) and their relationship to being leaders of the X-Men! Cyclops is set to appear in her solo, so I'd say it's good to know that they're great friends.
UXM #165
Ororo has a VERY cool moment in this issue and it earns her the title "she who swam with Acanti". It's badass, it shows her inner strength in the face of defeat, it's great Storm content. Read the Brood saga (UXM #154 to #167) for more context of this alien space adventure.
Storm's main character arc! :
If there are ever storm comics you gotta read, it's truly these ones.
Tumblr media
Before the fall:
UXM #169, #170!!!, #171, #172, #173
In these issues Storm knows change, and she is rattled by her own ruthless actions. This will lead her through a path of transformation and self reflection that is what makes Storm such an incredible character to me.
UXM #179, UXM #180
To see her with the morlocks again and to get an idea of her unstable mental state at this point before her BIG depowered arc. She also has a very touching moment with kitty (they have an older sister/younger sister relationship 🥺)
Depowered Storm (the fall AND the rise):
Unarguably her most iconic arc. Storm losing her powers gives us incredible and touching insight into who she is as a person beyond the picture of a perfect goddess. A MUST read
UXM #184 (for context), #185!
The loss of powers
UXM #186!!!!
AKA. Life death part 1, widely regarded as some of the best X-Men comics ever along with life death part 2 that you will see later on.
UXM #187 and #188
Full no powers badass Storm.
UXM #198!!!
Aka. Life death part 2, a religious experience. Storm excellency. This is like no other X-Men comic you'll ever read!
UXM #201
It isn't the Storm centric issue everyone makes it out to be, but her being asked to duel Scott for X-Men leadership is still very iconic.
UXM #211 and #212
The mutant massacre is a very interesting and tough challenge for Storm who finds herself again at her lowest despite life death part 2. Important reads!
UXM# 215-216
Fun storm centric action!
This is pretty much all I'll recommend of classic stuff for the moment as I am also reading through the insane amount of bronze age issues.
To hop onto Storm (2024):
Planet size X-Men (2021)
Tumblr media
Here are the modern age issues I find relevant to get her current state of mind:
Ororo's role during the Krakoa era truly kick-starts here with helping Terraform Mars, which will become the planet Arakko that she rules along a council of mutants. This era is important to understand Ororo as she is in her solo and shows how she navigates many challenges.
The full series X-Men Red (2022) by Al Ewing! *Read Immortal X-Men #11 along with X-Men Red #11 (I can't remember in what order)
This is the most recent Storm-lead book, it's great Ororo stuff!!!!
Resurrection of Magneto by Al Ewing!
Despite the name, this is a BRILLIANT Ororo comic that is extremely recent, extremely good and explores her character in beautiful ways.
I think it's a great primer for her solo if you only wanna read four issues. (Chronologically it comes after X-Men Red)
That's about all I would lay on you! Good reading! And remember that Storm (2024) is written with new readers in mind so, no pressure at all to know everything <3 🌩️
Wanna read some recent leader of X-Men Ororo? X-treme X-Men by Chris Claremont is made for that. (In between the classic era and the modern era chronologically? It's not that good, but it's something.
Avengers (2023) by Jed McKay.
Storm will be in the avengers as well as her solo! She is introduced into the team at issue #17 so you can pick up from that and read in synch with the solo!

Guess who finally got their documents working again! Anyway, WIPs and Last Lines for The UnTitledverse and The Silver Chronicles. Specifically; a WIP for Jurassic World: Before The Storm and The True Sinners, and a Last Line for two Classroom Of The Elite fics and Silva's Hope and No Snake, Only A Boa In The Garden. Kind of a lot, but I've missed this so much. You can find these below the cut:
Here's a WIP for Chapter 2 of Jurassic World: Before The Storm:
Regret.
That is what overcame me when I followed Lisa off the ramp of the ferry.
Once I stood on sturdier ground, the unforgiving heat swept over me quickly.
Lisa had told me to put some summer clothes on; the sleeveless shirt and accompanying short skirt that she had paid for had been her initial suggestion. But I didn’t want to wear those. I didn’t want strangers to see how scrawny and soft I was. And the loose long-sleeve shirt, long baggy pants and my jumper were just too cozy, even if they were more for the colder months.
The uncomfortable temperature had me reconsider if this was a small lapse in judgement.
But no one was paying me much mind, so maybe the clothes helped. If that’s right, then maybe a little heat wouldn’t be so bad.
“Jackie,” Lisa gritted my nickname past her teeth, impatient towards my slow pace. I hadn’t realized that my baggage would be so heavy. I obliged her by picking up the pace.
Though I sped up in pace, Lisa was swifter, and the increasing amount of people clustering together made it more difficult to stay behind her lead.
Luckily the crowd started to dissipate.
I rushed to be by Lisa’s side, lugging my baggage with as much force as I could. The sun lifted an unwanted blanket of hot air over us, and I could not find it in my heart to appreciate the climate. In response to this uncomfortable pressure, I unzipped my jumper. I took a glance at Lisa and found her attention elsewhere.
Here's The True Sinners WIP, where Silva's planning murder while making coffee... but who can blame someone whose recently been kidnapped by the resident ginger soldier:
Jacob dragged Silva through the halls of the old veteran's center, his right hand gripped onto the hem of her dirty coat.
They reached what she assumed to be his office. Jacob opened the door and unceremoniously threw her forward inside. She caught herself from falling, twisting around to face her captor.
He shut the door behind him, the handle's lock clicked in a twist. Jacob crossed his arms as he regarded her, face thinned into a stoic mask.
Blue eyes raked over her disheveled body, specifically how she positioned herself; legs spread apart and slight bent, her left arm spread forward in preparation while her right arm remained closest to her hip, and her dull grey eyes glaring at him. Focused.
He sharply exhaled through his nose, almost like a whistling snort. He leaned against the wall next to the door, eyes on her. Silva didn't drop her guard, not even when he gestured over to a small table.
"Coffee," Jacob tells her. Silva remained in her stance, though confusion did etch across her face.
Jacob gestured once more to the small table. Silva hesitated, eyed Jacob's stature. She took a brief glance over to the table, not enough to lose Jacob in her peripheral though, and opted not to change her stance either, just in case.
She spotted a kettle and some paper cups, and what she assumed to be a jar of grounded coffee beans.
She swiftly placed her eyes back onto him, uncertainty and anticipation brewing within her. Jacob must have noticed, as he stated, "Get yourself a cup of coffee. And if you get one for me, I might be open to explaining your purpose here."
Her eyes narrowed, but refrained from speaking. Silva wasn't sure what his game was. She focused past him to the office door.
She silently exhaled, taking small steps toward the table, grey eyes always on Jacob in case he made any sudden moves.
Once she planted a gloved hand on the small tabletop, she gave one more glare towards him before reluctantly turning her back to him.
With an ear out for any inconspicuous movements Jacob could make, Silva quickly pressed a knuckle against the kettle. Finding it lukewarm, she flicked down the switch.
She dared another glance at Jacob while the kettle heated up, only to stiffen when their stares connected. A palish blue invading her dull grey. A contrast to the sharp grey of Father and the pale hazel of Paul.
He was a militar man. The green forest jacket with the Americana flag was enough to tip her off when they first met, but the ambush... the training grounds of the veteran center had all confirmed her suspicion.
She had been unprepared when she fought back during the raid, only managing to catch him off guard with an admittedly surprised hit, but nothing that could have incapacitated him with his support running at her.
But now they were alone... and once she heard the rising whistle, she twisted her fingers around the handle of her new weapon.
Here's four Last Lines, two each for The UnTitledverse and The Silver Chronicles.
The first Last Line is for a Classroom Of The Elite chapter in The UnTitled Stories (a collection of short fics). Ayanokoji and Horikita have lunch together:
"So," I had paused to swallow down the crumbed fish before I asked you, "The first step is to rehabilitate the failures?"
It hadn't been an unsound plan. In fact it was quite logical, which made sense, in hindsight.
"If you've grasped that, you can guess what I'm about to propose," you had told me, and you were correct. The implication was as easy to notice like a car speeding down a crossing.
My initial response was to decline. The word 'no' was on the tip of my mouth, but I refrained. I took a glance at you, and reconsidered my reply.
Knowing you thus far, you would never have allowed me to get as close as you'd already let me back then if I had rejected your proposal. You had made sound points and made your intentions clear. While I had no ambition to reach Class A, as it had not been my goal, you were a curious oddity that I wanted to learn more about. And helping you meant getting one step closer to the answer I sought.
So, I made the only acceptable answer.
"Okay, I'll help."
"I thought you'd say-," you had paused mid-sentence, my words being swiftly picked apart in your mind as you realized what I had said, "Wait, seriously?"
"Dead serious," I parroted your words back. I'd imagine the look of momentary shock should have been amusing, though I couldn't find much humor in the displace as my chopsticks picked up the rest of my crumbed fish.
The second Last Line/s is for a "What If?" Classroom Of The Elite scenario where Amasawa and Yagami went with Ayanokoji to the school. Anyway, have Class D's reaction to the trio:
As Ayanokoji began to depart from his desk, he paused. Horikita heard him let out a sigh, and much to her confusion, dropped his bag on top of his desk.
"What are you-?" Horikita wanted to question, but Ayanokoji soon interrupted her.
"Accepting my fate," he disclosed, not with much emotion, but certainly not his regular monotone.
Horikita blinked at him, shaking her head in confusion, "Huh?"
Ayanokoji only pointed toward Class 1-D's door in response. She turned her gaze toward it, the sliding door left ajar by the few students who left for break. She wasn't sure why...
She stopped her thoughts when she heard it; the rushing steps of someone fast approaching. It wasn't until a familiar magenta-haired fiend slid in front of the door way, cast her gradient dark-red eyes onto her target and propelled herself inside the classroom at such unnatural speed.
"Senpai~!" the twin-tailed girl cheered out as she threw herself at Ayanokoji, who (reluctantly) welcomed her with deflated open arms. The girl tackled Ayanokoji, the force causing both of them to crash to the floor. The ruckus caught the remainder of Class D's attention.
Before Horikita could process what she just witnessed, she heard another rush of footsteps towards the doorway, but this one slowed down to reveal the second of Ayanokoji's companions; a boy with brown hair and green eyes, softly panting and non-discreetly leaning against the frame to recover from the chase.
The third Last Line/s is for Silva's Hope, and Silva gets a short break and a new friend:
"Hey, Dep, so... you hungry?" Boshaw asked, fidgeting with the beer bottle in his hand. Silva glanced at him, raising a brow, "I was gonna heat up the leftover pizza I had in my fridge, and since you're crashing the place, I'm just wondering if you want some."
He seemed anxious, giving her a forced smile as he awaited her answer. At the mention of food, the rumbling pain in her gut demanded she attend to its needs. Silva blew out a relenting exhale.
"Honestly Boshaw... I'd love some pizza," she told him, and she saw how his brown eyes lightened up; like how Elsa was given permission to do a dangerous stunt or Hurk given the go-ahead to blow a Peggie chopper out of the sky. Or given the thumbs up to set something ablaze.
With that reminder, she quickly added, "As long as it's not reheated with your flamethrower. Understood Boshaw?"
Boshaw blew out a playful huff as he stood up on the trailer's roof, "Nah, I learnt my lesson last time I did that. Gets too charred. Don't worry, I've got a microwave laying about inside. And ya can call me Sharky, Dep."
Silva chewed the inside of her cheek, but after some thinking, couldn't see the harm of calling him by his preferred name, "Alright Sharky... as long as you call me Silva. I'm doing a lot more than what's in a deputy's paycheck. Deal?"
She opened out a gloved hand for him to shake on, and it lightened her mood to see the wide cheerful grin as he took her hand, and managed to pull her up onto her two feet, "You've got a deal there, Silva."
The final Last Line/s is for No Snake, Only A Boa In The Garden, and have a crumb of Hudson and Pratt content... as they chat waiting for a passed-out Coroner!Silva to wake up:
Watching how quietly [Silva] slept on as Pratt had loudly chugged down his coffee, Joey couldn't disagree with Pratt's comment, regardless of how ill-mannered the jest was.
She's almost like a corpse, she conceded, frowning at the soft breathes she could barely see part their coroner's lips, the egg-shaped timer ticking beside the dark-haired woman's head, within arm-length.
"Hudson, you need to relax. She's a grown woman, remember? She's made the decision to deal with her personal issues herself," Pratt yapped on, and shared a thought, "Not the best way to deal with any issue, true, but it really isn't up to us to interfere if it hasn't affected her job thus far. Besides, you've got to admit she's a bit fun when she's tipsy. Night-outs are never short of entertaining when she's around. Cheeky and funny, too."
Joey gave Pratt a deadpan look, and sighed, "I don't know Pratt. You ever wonder why she drinks though? It worries me. We're pretty much the only ones here she goes out of her way to talk to, with exception to Earl. And she's just cooped up in here, surrounded by... death."
She gestured around the morgue, to the units housing whatever bodies were brought in this week. Once again, she settled her gaze on the deep bags under Silva's eyes, a combined result of the coroner's known insomnia and the amount of effort in she puts to stretch herself thin in overworking herself. Joey huffed, a somberness in her voice, "It's so... isolating. She never shares anything outside her personal life either, and we're the closest people to friends that she's got. It's not normal."

The UnTitledverse Fam during The Perfect Storm saga
Tumblr media
Here's my Found Family of The UnTitledverse during The Perfect Storm saga.
We've got Joaquin Cobalt (age 15, height either 5ft 4inch or 5ft 5inch, transitioning male and accidental reincarnation) - Should never drive - Stubborn and short-tempered enough to get into trouble but skilled and competent enough to get himself and others out of trouble - Holds no love for bugs. Additional info: If Calvin isn't in charge, then Joaquin is - Has been traveling the multiverse for five years trying to survive not really updated on movies or places to eat and all that - Puts up a strong facade to be taken seriously - Though doesn't see the point in competition - Has yet to learn diplomacy - Mario's protege in the theatrics and showmanship.
Maisie Lockwood (age 14, height around 5ft 2inch, female and a human clone) - Shortest of the group and youngest of the group - Can't drive - Finds trouble somehow - Usually good at getting out of trouble but now she's dealing with robots and demons and whatnot so she kind of needs a little help - Loves bugs and refuses to help move them. Additional info: BABY! - Absolutely not mature enough to be a leader - Owen and Claire had her catch up on the best movies (especially A Land Before Time) - Quite affectionate when she wants to be - Loves to play fight, especially with Mario due to his shapeshifting abilities, also goes out of her way to scare the shit out of Joaquin, Calvin and Charlie sometimes.
Calvin Dearing (age technically 136 though looks like a stressed-out 36-year-old, height 5ft 6inch, male and a dream spirit) - Oldest of the group - Can drive but due to the sightings of a "driverless" vehicle, refrains from doing so unless under specific circumstances - Surprisingly the only who never gets into trouble and the one most often getting them out of trouble - Bugs remind him of the creepy critters he had to deal with down in the Purgatory disguised as Carmine Studio, so its on site for him. Additional info: The most mature and experienced one to be leader - Out of touch for films but knows the best restaurants - The least affectionate and competitive person - More the grandfather of the group but parent works too - A Dream Spirit is not suitable to be a host for anything.
Mario Emmet (age 39, somehow taller than Charlie at 6ft 3inch (5ft 11 inch in human form), male and a shapeshifting alien) - Can surprisingly drive well but may stray from responsibility sometimes - Tallest - Gets into a lot of trouble - Bugs remind him of himself so he doesn't harm them. Additional info: Not the baby and knows it but wishes he were - Would have them all eat in a sewer if he could - The most affectionate and touch starved boy - The most competitive out of the group - Play fights for days, Charlie being his most common partner but Maisie being his favorite playmate - Knows how to entertain guests so is designated host.
Charlie Emily (Technically 40 years old only looks to be in her early 20s, 5ft and 4inch, female and an android with a little bit of soul) - Knows how to drive responsibly - miffed that she's older than her alien boyfriend but he's a shapeshifter and is always taller than her - gets into trouble with Mario - Shows no mercy to bugs. Additional info: Tried leading for a day... almost got everyone killed - The one who knows the best things to watch and best places to eat - One of the most competitive people alongside Mario - Parent friend to Maisie and Joaquin - Does play fight with Mario but overall isn't outright seeking to do so everyday - Too shy and inexperienced in intimacy/affection or social events so Mario often takes initiative.
The Group: Mario views all of them as his family after losing his mother, while most of the others view each other as friends at best, though some like Joaquin and Maisie go "ah, that's Mario's girlfriend/Joaquin's brother figures". Mario and Charlie are the most likely to talk about their interests or whatever they can think of, while Joaquin and Maisie sit at the middle between "talking sometimes" and "listening in" while Calvin is all for just listening. Calvin is the only one alone who goes "we have food at home" while the others just vary in enthusiasm over seeing McDonalds. Mario is the most expressive and emotional while Calvin is the most stoic and calm, the others just sit in the middle. Calvin and Joaquin (+ Charlie sometimes) are the most likely to need alone time while Maisie and Mario need attention. Calvin's sarcasm leaves no one alive, and Mario relentlessly teases anyone he can find, though while Joaquin and Maisie get just a healthy amount that doesn't put them down, Mario shows Charlie no mercy with the height difference between himself and her despite the fact he's younger than her. Most of them are in the middle for showing affection through words and actions but Charlie and Joaquin usually show it through the latter. Mario and Maisie are designated goofballs, while Calvin and Joaquin are their designated goofball wranglers... Charlie's a wild card in this department though.
Faceclaims for Joaquin and Calvin are Brendan Jordan and Laurence Fishburne respectively. Maisie Lockwood still looks like her actress Isabella Sermon. Yet to find a faceclaim for Charlie Emily or Mario's human form but have some facial expressions he's made below (warning none of these doodles are colored):
Here's a close up of Mario's profile image

And here's Mario being trying to be charming and being judgemental respectively

"You blocked your one way home!"
"Now you'll never get back."
"You're going to call off that storm."
"Or what? You can't kill me!"
"How does it feel to be helpless?"
"How does it feel to know pain?"
"I watched my friends die in horror."
"I heard their final moments!"
"Look what you've turned me into!”
“Look what we've become!"
"All of the pain that I've been through… haven't I suffered enough?"
"You didn't stop when I begged you!"
“You told m to close my heart!”
"You said the world was dark!"
"Didn't you say that ruthlessness is mercy upon ourselves?"
“Alright! Please…”
"After everything you've done, how will you sleep at night?"

I know it may seem like a pretty problematic choice, but I would really like to see Andrew Koji as Kuai Liang in the next Mortal Kombat movie and I have a few reasons why I would like him to be cast:
1- Andrew looks a little bit like Kuai Liang from MK11:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In his role as Storm Shadow, even without a beard and with the scar on his eye, he looks like Kuai Liang, he even gives an air of a young Kuai Liang.
Tumblr media
2-He has excellent chemistry with Joe Taslim:
Tumblr media
In the Warrior series you can see the incredible chemistry that both have and they are very good friends in real life. I feel like the relationship they have would help make the fact that Bi-Han and Kuai Liang are brothers believable, it would even feel more natural. Can you imagine a flashback of both brothers in the Lin Kuei played by these two?
3- He also has incredible chemistry with Hiroyuki Sanada:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In the movie Bullet Train they both play the role of father and son, and despite the little time on screen that we saw them interact together, their chemistry was simply incredible and perfect. With Mr. Sanada being confirmed as Scorpion for the sequel, and knowing all the development that this pair will have until they become allies, wouldn't it be incredible to see them both together again this time playing out the biggest and best-known rivalry in the entire game?
Tumblr media
4-Andrew deserves more recognition:
Seeing what an incredible martial artist and actor he is thanks to his role in Warrior I feel like he hasn't made a name for himself in the industry yet despite also acting in Bullet Train and Snake Eyes and it's sad because he really He deserves people to recognize the incredible talent he has and I feel like a role like Sub Zero in a commercial movie like Mortal Kombat would really help boost his career.
I know that this casting choice is even controversial because Andrew is not Chinese but Japanese and the film has greatly respected the ethnicities of the characters in the saga and I am very happy about this, so I want it to be clear that this is just a fancast and It is something that I would like to happen and they will not listen to me for that reason. Any actor cast in the future for the role will make me happy and satisfied because Kuai Liang is another of my favorite characters in the game despite the fact that many believe otherwise, and whoever plays him in the future will have my support since at the end of the day he will give life to a character that is dear to me.

THE VENGEANCE SAGA
🌊 SPOILERS AHEAD 🌊
PLUS, MENTIONS OF S.A.
🔱 NOT SORRY FOR LOVING YOU
Even though Calypso’s actions infuriate me, her actress’ voice (Barbara Wangui) is incredible and so compelling. She sounds like a lotus flower, and just that notion is marvelous, now that I say that. She is the island of the lotus eaters, and I do really like that she isn’t blindly in love with Odysseus.
She can see she hurt him, but she still believes she was in the right. She’s sorry she did all she did, but she wouldn’t take a single moment back. Calypso only admits she’s wrong for “pushing” him. This allusion only shows that she regrets the pain she caused him when she forced him into bed with her, for several years. But does she regret the action?
It’s so well written, an apologist song to make excuses for her. But still, it’s only meant to toy with your emotions. And yet, she doesn’t play the “one song character”, the “tiny plot point”. Jorge gave her pain, and anguish, and loss. He made her seem human, while still holding the godlike apathy and blamelessness.
🔱 DANGEROUS
And onto my favorite song, for the reason alone that it’s a crazy banger with HERMES IN IT! I knew half of this song when it came out, and can lip sync this in my sleep. By the gods, it’s incredible.
Ahem. Right, the analysis. Okay.
Odysseus’ first four of lament in the beginning hurt extra hard when the silence plays out. The crew would have responded… had they lived.
(Anyone else getting nostalgia for last winter from this?? How fast time goes! We have one saga left, and— shoot, right. Ahem ahem.)
And then, the beloved Trickster Lord comes whirling into frame. Dancing. I can just FEEL the light-up floor, the disco ball… you’d think he and Hera would be good friends, huh?
This gives us a little glimpse into Hermes’ lordly self. That he is great with instructions, that he’s almost prophetic with them. He’s not specific, he’s vague, but looking back, you can only go, “OHHHH!” Hermes is a cunning god, and aside from that, he lifts Odysseus’ spirits. He really is Odysseus’ friend.
And then the parallels. To Wouldn’t You Like, to Keep Your Friends Close. Ouch. No, wow. No, scratch that— both.
It makes me wonder if Odysseus “Danger is my middle name” of Ithaca will ever figure out that Athena rooted for him, in the end. Makes me wonder if we’ll hear from Athena again.
🔱 CHARYBDIS
GYATT DAMN. TALK ABOUT INCREDIBLE?!
THIS might be my favorite song, for the typical reasons. You can hear the actions, and when I watched the animatics, it only showed me what I pictured. Perfectly portrayed.
I avoided spoilers for this song, not knowing how good it would be. Damn, am I glad.
Storm parallels, of course. And then, the sheer terror and turn of relief, when suddenly you realize he’s not as close as he thought he was. One last obstacle.
Love the fact that when he sings, “So if you don’t have much to say,” you realize Charybdis won’t be singing. I adored that. This song shows off how smart Odysseus really is.
🔱 GET IN THE WATER
This song is just plain terrifying. It’s scary. It’s cold.
The screaming shakes me to my core. At first, I hadn’t been fully on board (haha) with the choice of Poseidon’s voice actor, and then I took a few more listens to Ruthlessness, and reevaluated that thought. Besides that, he’s quite literally perfect for this song, specifically.
Let me tell you that Steven Rodriguez understood the assignment when he was told to say, “I can’t,” “No,” and “Ruthlessness is … mercy upon … ourselves … DIE!”
Realizing that the line about “gouging [his] son’s eyes” is a cheeky revenge for Polyphemus is incredible. You know what’s funny? Poseidon and Odysseus aren’t so different from each other.
Especially now.
Besides that, oh god, the memories of his loved ones singing into his “final moments” is painful. Thought we’d heard the last of Polites, Jorge? REMEMBER, JORGE?
It’s a double entendre, too. They’re singing to him, telling him to keep going, and yet, they’re telling him that they’re waiting for him, too. Now… some for better, and some for worse.
Will they forgive him the same way he’s forgotten how to do, when he dies?
🔱 SIX HUNDRED STRIKE
Aka, Poseidon discovers the indomitable human spirit.
Let me tell you, hearing the guitar made me gasp. Missed that riff, in all its glory and power, let me tell you. Plus, the wind bag’s theme, too!
This is a boss battle. That’s it. I swear to god, put the instrumental of this banger in Hades by Supergiant.
The screaming in this really made the song. The voice acting. The change of tone. The change of Odysseus’ tone. He’s never been afraid to talk back to gods, has he?
I was only miffed that there was blood on the trident in the animation, and not ichor. But that’s what you get when you’ve been devoted to Greek mythology all of your life, you become an accuracy snob. All in all though, I ADORED that animation. Like… holy shit. Holy FUCKING SHIT!!!
Then, the stabbing and gasping. Poseidon attempting to make him feel bad, second-guess himself, by screaming and calling him a monster.
“Look what you’ve turned me into! Look what we’ve become!” Odysseus KNOWS that he and Poseidon are similar. Fathers willing to defend their honor, and the honor of their sons. However, Poseidon was always defending his own honor, and Odysseus was always protecting the lives of those involved.
And the CHOKING NOISES from POSEIDON??
“After everything you’ve done… how will you sleep at night?”
“Next to my wife.”
AND I GASPED. AND I CHEERED!!!!!!!!!!!
On a much more hilarious note, I saw @justvea18 post a version of this meme as Poseidon. Was giggling my ass off. Go check it out, please.
