rhaenyra was denied her throne because she’s a woman. her mother died. her father died. her son died. she had a stillbirth from the stress of it all. her closest advisor died. her husband is raising an army for himself instead of for her. her council think her as the “weaker sex”. she is fighting for what is rightfully hers in a world that wasn’t designed to give women any power. she is fighting to ascend the throne not only for herself, but to create a new order. to look at a character like that and only see “plain features”…. it’s just so frustrating sometimes. y’all heard what brittany broksi said, “imagine a world where you could pursue the things that make you happy and not have to worry about if you look good doing it”

Something I don’t hear talked about a lot is how being trans makes you incredibly anxious. I don’t know, maybe it’s just me? But I’ve had a few friendships and my relationship with most of my family torn apart by transphobia. I feel like I can’t go outside or join clubs or make new friends because I’ll always eventually have to reveal that I’m transfem.

It’s incredibly depressing going through life believing that you cannot reveal your true self to people, no matter how friendly they are, because you’ve been hurt before and you don’t want it to happen again. Because to so many people, I’m a disgusting aberration, a victim of some evil agenda trying to degrade masculinity or whatever.

Nothing could ever be so isolating.

I admit social anxiety is a bitch and my personal fears could be exaggerated, but from personal experience it’s a scary, scary world for us. I just hope someday things are different.

do you know how many people are mad that authors use "growled" as a word for "said"? it's just poetics! they do not literally mean "growled," it's just a common replacement for "said with force but in a low tone." it's normal! do you hear me!! help me i love you please let me out of here!!!

if you’re ever in the position to choose between giving up and accepting defeat, and actually trying to fight the ancient unkillable god that is about to peel apart reality like a string cheese, remember this: scientifically speaking, you might as well give it a shot!

1.there were trees at the beginning of the world! there were trees so long ago that they predate bacteria that causes wood to decay. when a tree fell, it would lie there in stasis and there wasn’t any way of breaking down wood xylem on a molecular level in that way.

2. it seems obvious to say, but wood eating bacteria are literally incapable of comprehending what they’re breaking down. It’s just not information conciously available to a microorganism. they don’t know what they’re deconstructing, where it came from, bacteria have no way to even fathom the existence of a tree as a concept.

3. Regardless of the facts above, the world we live in today is a world where wood inevitably decomposes

it is worth fighting the unkillable god no matter how pointless it seems. it is worth taking the risk even though youre trying to accomplish something impossible. the reality in which you live was also once reality in which trees didn’t rot. You live in a reality that allows for existence before the possibility of destruction. you live in a reality where uncomprehending microbes break down matter that is so far beyond the scope of their comprehension that it feels comical to specify something so obvious. you live in a reality that occasionally allows unshakeable physical truths to be altered with no warning.

It is worth fighting the unkillable god because trees are so old they predate the source of their destruction, and it still did not spare them. It is worth fighting the unkillable god because bacteria rots unthinkingly, because there is room in our cosmos for destruction without comprehension on the part of the destroyer. It is worth fighting the unkillable god because now and then reality retracts the promise of immortality without fanfare, and when that happens there is no mercy for the ancient. the unmaking is not softer for the desecrators ignorance. for all things, existence is endless until the exact point where it ends.

so you might as well try to kill the unkillable god. it doesn’t seem likely, but at the beginning of the world, trees didn’t rot. so you never know! you never know

This isn’t shade more of like, a nitpick of a trope so inconsequential that I’m making a whole post about it.

Y’know that trope where a character gets up in the middle of the night for a glass of water and then something unexpected happens? Like whoa why are you awake or smth idk. You know what I’m talking about, probably.

Is this a purely fictional thing or do none of you have water bottles? I’ve had times where I had to get up to fill it, yes, but you’re having your characters pour a glass of water at 3:50am? Are there people walking to the kitchen for water at ungodly hours of the night? My bedrooms on a whole separate floor and I’m sure someone relates. Also, are you drinking a whole 12 ounces of water in one sitting? Do you not get nauseous after that or is this a chronic illness thing I didn’t realize wasn’t normal? I have pills to take at night, is that why? Am I in the minority here? Do you guys not have like 15 half empty water bottles on your nightstand (or anywhere in your room. Also wouldn’t recommend this because plastic) Are you dirtying a glass cup for funzies? I don’t have the energy to wash 12 cups because I used one every time I wanted water. Is this a regional thing? Maybe it’s regional, I live in the US. I get it if your character is like, 6 and the parental figure doesn’t want them to spill it, but this happens with grown adults and older teens.

I’m not even hating on tap water, tap waters fine, but the inconvenience of it all. I cannot FATHOM. I’m begging you please get a water bottle you don’t deserve this. Water bottles trend and we’re doing THIS? How are you awake enough to not spill it? Again, how are you drinking a whole glass of water in like ten minutes. I don’t drink that much in a day—okay that’s a me problem ignore that.

Anyway give yourself and your character a water bottle and just have them go to the bathroom or something/get a snack from the kitchen because this is all I can think about when I read this trope.

Also this post isn’t serious I’m just goofing. I mean I stand by these points but it’s not that serious don’t take this seriously 😭
