The Islamic Republic: we canceled the morality police!
Iranians: so?! Does that change the fact that you have committed genocide in Kurdish cities and Zahedan? Does that restore people's eyesight that you took from them with your rubble bullets? Does that bring back to life almost 500 murdered protesters in the last 3 months, among them at least 60 children? Does that bring back to life 1500 people you massacred in 2019 and those you executed afterwards? Or the 30000 people you executed in the first decade of your rule? And everyone you've arrested, raped, tortured and executed in between simply because they didn't agree with you? Does that mean current executions are stopped? Does that mean tens of thousands of arrested protesters are free? Does that mean fired or suspended students are back to classes and can get an education? Does that mean the poverty threshold is no longer so absolutely high that even the once above average families are considered absolutely poor? Does that erase 40 years of apartheid? State racism? State misogyny? Inequality? Have you stopped bothering religious minorities and are giving them their basic human rights back? Does that mean there's no more child marriages? Legal rape? Does that mean you no longer kill and torture LGBTQ people? Does that make up for the environmental disaster you've caused in Iran? Water shortage? Bewildering fuel shortage? All the lakes and water bodies that are dry now and the jungles that has been destroyed? Currently northern jungles are on fire, are the trees restored? Does that mean you no longer execute environmental activists because they object your unscientific environment policies? Does that mean all censorships and restrictions are lifted? Does that end your meddling in other countries affairs? Does it mean you're not a bunch of thieves and murderers who know nothing about running a country? Does that make up for all the lives you've destroyed? And most importantly does that bring Mahsa Amini back to life???
It's too late for that. Iranians have been loud and clear. We won't sit down until this regime is completely and irreversibly changed. The whole government system, the constitution, and the people in powers. And those who committed crimes have to be put on trial.
(The morality police have been around under different names for almost the entirety of this regime. This is just a temporary stop. Even if the morality police is disbanded for good, compulsory hijab is still a law and it's illegal to not wear appropriate clothing. Any police force is able to arrest non hijabis since they're doing something illegal, it's not an exclusive morality police duty. Plus the morality police was just enforcing hijab in the streets. What about every governmental and private offices and institutions? They all have to enforce mandatory hijab on both their employees and costumers So this news means literally nothing. West media should research these things better before publishing misleading informations)
I strongly recommend everyone to go to #MahsaAmini in twitter and read iranians tweets. Like, I strongly recommend it. I even put the link to make it easier for you. Just click on it.

The fact that tumblr is cheering for fucking Iran really says it all and shows y'all need to shut up forever about the Middle East. We get it, you think the only good Jew is a dead Jew. But aligning yourselves with the Islamic Republic? Fucking really?

My sister said something to me earlier today that further solidified the idea that generations before mine have been constantly made to feel intimidated or afraid of this government and the horrible people who work for it and push its agendas. “They’re watching your social media if you’re not careful about what you say they won’t allow you to get a job or be successful.” Is one of the main things they’ve taught my sisters generation. I told her that you couldn’t intimidate a generation of people who’ve never had this countries protection, care, or protection. I couldn’t give a fuck less if I’m being completely honest with you right now. There’s absolutely nothing this country or the people in it could threaten me with in order to make me shut the fuck up about what they’re doing and the shitty choices they’ve made as a collective. You’ve told generations of Americans that if they don’t shut up and submit to what you’re doing and pushing that their family members would need to move into a state of fear and be afraid for them and that they should be afraid for their livelihoods, their success and their ability to create and build foundations for themselves and it’s about time people get to hear that loud and clear. The fear mongering and the oppression and the silencing of people in this world has got to stop and you only stop cycles of behavior by no longer participating them and changing the way that you behave and react.
They’re trying to make your children uneducated and ignorant by stopping the creation of educational television programs and creating shows and media meant for them that start fucking with their minds from an early age, our teachers are severely underpaid, the curriculum in schools is lacking, they pass laws to take race theory out of the curriculum and stop teaching about the history and oppression of people of color. They ban and attempt to sell apps to American companies so that they can better censor the content that over 1 billion people are consuming every single day that has allowed the truth to spread faster than lies for the first time since this country was founded.
You fucked up letting our generations students with progressive and out of the box ideas into Ivy Leagues to climb your elitist ladder and subjecting generations of individuals to generational trauma and oppression. People have been waiting over forty years for this generation to come into existence. We’re here now. It’s too late.

The only small talk I get disproportionately annoyed at and have to like, swallow my fury and be polite because I know it’s just small talk, is when people complain about winter lasting too long when we get winter weather (snow) in late Feb.
It was 50 degrees all December, winter didn’t happen at all, don’t give me any of that shit, marked seasonal change is supposed to happen here. Let me have this.

Daisy Chainsaw, Lovely Ugly Brutal World from Eleventeen (1992).
I've got a new dress with large breasts and I look funny in it . My beautiful boy has brown eyes. And we both smell immensley. We live in our dreams. He heals himself with open arms and now he bashes his head again and again on my bed, and on my knees. He's an odd boy. Lucky boy. Makes big noise with big bottle. And crazy lovely ugly cruel world. Lovely ugly cruel world. Lovely ugly cruel world. I wear a nice blue hat just to keep in with swing of things. And I go to church young. You go to church young. And church filled my face. Hey, hey. We're in the movies says I. I see a pile of soot On my head. I see a pile of soot.

Magneto has the "Eastern European Craftsman Grandpa"-Hands. They are never intact, always something is missing.
His hands have scars and burns, marks of many battles. They are rough and calloused. He has big paws, big hands. His fingers are slender in comparison but not thin, but skilled and incredibly strong. The scars are smooth and the skin rough. They are used to making things, to holding on, to protecting. The back of his hand shows tendons like rope under is skin. One can see spots where broken knuckles healed. A missing fingertip, blunt from deflected shrapnel, spoke of close calls and brutal confrontations.
He has craftsman hands, having learned craftsmanship and thievery since he was a young boy. He made jewelry, later his slender hands became stronger as he was doing more blacksmith work.
These are not the smooth, manicured hands of an ivory tower leader, but the gnarled instruments of a man who has wrestled the very fabric of reality. They are the hands of a sculptor, brutal and unyielding, yet delicate and careful where need be, forever reshaping the world to his will, who uses them to carve a path where there is none. They are always somehow covered in blood, oil or dust.
Magneto does not like looking at his hands. Edit: Add-on by @sleighted because apparently this was not emotional enough:
"those hands also held his daughter anya as an infant and then held her little hand when she was a bit older but those hands also weren't able to save her nor bury her!"
He thinks his hands are tools. Now he thinks that they are not meant to be tender but they can be.

Persian new year is less than a week away. Last night was Chaharshanbeh Suri, a fire festival in Persian culture that takes place in the last Tuesday night/Wednesday morning of the year.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Last night a new wave of protests happened. Among fires and fireworks, people took to the streets, put mandatory hijab on fire, danced and chanted "death to the dictator". It was MAJESTIC. I missed this. Street protests are powerful, they bring you back to life.
But last night was too nerve wracking for me. I walked a line between crying and panicking all night long. Every corner I took I was reminded of people who have been murdered or injured in the last six months. People who have lost everything they knew. Animals who have been hurt and injured. Last night some fighting happened too. And I might have witnessed someone getting severely injured (hope they're alive). I don't want to nag. I feel like I've done that a lot. I just wish the regime fails eventually. I'm so tired of living like this.
People have posted some videos of last night. Just to give you a picture of what happened last night you can check these accounts: 1500tasvir iranwire and Iran International.
