People like to point to a lot of random scenes in Link Click to justify why ShiGuang being romantic is canon. Now, I'm not the creator of Link Click, I have no authority on the subject. So most the time, it's a "lets agree to disagree" situation.

However, there is one scene from Episode 1 that I find down-right offensive for people to point to as evidence of Cheng Xiaoshi and Lu Guang being an item:

There is no doubt that this scene is incredibly beautiful and loving, but romance isn't what makes this scene beautiful, nor is it what makes the bond they share so touching and engaging to watch. The fact that they honest-to-God love and care about each other is.

What makes this particular scene really lovely is information we're given later in the show. Its full tenderness only clicks in hindsight once we know more about the characters and Cheng Xiaoshi's past. Specifically, when we understand more about how their powers work and the tragic fact that Xiaoshi is (effectively) an orphan.

So we need to back up a few steps.

The scene begins with us seeing Emma dreaming about her parents, and we eventually see a visual representation of how Cheng Xiaoshi is also experiencing this dream as her, taking on her feelings.

Then there's her parents leaving, metaphorical for how out of her life they are now and how much Emma misses her parents (duh).

The fun part comes from the fact that it's not Emma we see as a child at this point, but Xiaoshi. He is being left behind by his parents.

Look at this face. IT'S THE FACE OF PAIN, and for me it honestly didn't make sense why this dream was as emotionally impactful for him as it was (on my first watchthrough).

Afterwards Cheng Xiaoshi wakes up, and Lu Guang notices this. At times like this, I really appreciate the dub for localising what's being said better than the more literal subtitles (even though the dub definitely says some shit that just ain't true). The dub's word choices are:

LG: "You're up?" CXS: "I dreamt that I had spring rolls with my parents." LG: "Folks on your mind?" CXS: "Yeah, and they're on hers as well."

LG: "When you became her, you took on some of her feelings and her memories. It must be tough." CXS: "... I wonder if they'll come back."

and then Cheng Xiaoshi rolls over and starts hugging himself tightly because of the unbearable pain

It takes a hot second for Lu Guang to realise what Cheng Xiaoshi actually means by his statement, that the 'they' in question is his own parents rather than anyone in Emma's life. Naturally, Lu Guang understands that Cheng Xiaoshi is suffering immensely right now because Xiaoshi's being forced to feel the agonising hole is his life that came from the worst thing that ever happened to him.

And so, he reaches through time and space (metaphorically?) to comfort him, his all-time best friend and, yes, potential romantic partner, telling him that "It will work out, just rest." Because SWEET JESUS, WHO WOULDN'T TRY COMFORTING THEIR FRIEND IN THAT MOMENT!? WHO??

It's beautiful. It's sweet. It's loving. It shows how in-tune they are to each other and that they care about each other's well being. No macho shit here, only a wholesome connection that we are all jealous of and celebrate.

Bonus analysis: knowing Cheng Xiaoshi's emotional state at this point, his re-suffering of the pain from being separated from his parents, then makes the message from Emma's mother and his reaction to it all the more emotionally touching.

Maybe the reason he sent the reply "I miss you" wasn't even for Emma's sake in that moment, but a result of the line between his own loneliness and hers having become so blurred in that sleepy moment.

I'd just like to clarify again, if you think they're gay together: cool. If you think this scene is the reason why: not cool.

Romance isn't the highest form of love, and it's not gay or weird to love your friends. What Cheng Xiaoshi and Lu Guang have is really beautiful, and I honestly don't think I've ever seen such a great depiction of two men who are so comfortably close to each other.

Whether their relationship is platonic or otherwise doesn't really matter here. What upsets me is the unhealthy elevation of romantic love as the most true and purest form of love over all other kinds -- that you can only care about someone this much and want them in your life ONLY if you want to marry them or something -- an idea that ends up hurting a lot of people.

Romance isn't what makes this scene beautiful, nor is it what makes the bond they share so touching and engaging to watch. The fact that they honest-to-God love and care about each other is.

kind of notorious which is not helpful as a clandestine organization of missing-nin. even if she learned to be more subtle, that would just raise the question of “hey, where the fuck did tsunade go”

if kakuzu has already been hired, this is a shitshow waiting to happen. She’s hashirama’s granddaughter. She’s terrible with money. She cannot be killed. He is already 3 seconds away from an aneurism at all times, this might just make him flip out completely.

8. Hi! There is a fic that i want to read again. The problem is, not only i don't remember much of the story, i don't know if this fic is from this fandom or detective conan. But i'm sure it's from this fandom. It's modern au where there are serial killer on the loose. WWX investigate it. He has an ability to see the corpse's past (i think he has an ability? Not sure about this part). But even with his ability, he can't solve it. There are connection between the victim. Their connection is the next victim is the one that found the previous victim (again i'm not sure if it only the one that found the body or other witnesses too). The state of their body is brutal. There are some evidence of torture. WWX investigate this until he become the target because he found the newest victim. I think he was kidnapped and when he wake up he is in a room. I don't know how to explain it but he tried to escape like the previous victims but the room or more like the place he was in is full of trap. If you ever watch danganronpa v3 side despair, the place is similar to when Nanami Chiaki died. Thats all i can remember. I trully hope its not my imagination. And so they found themselves as film students travelling to a secluded farm in Texas for a documentary project, Peter immediately smitten with the owner's daughter, Y/N. However, Y/N, her parents, and the rest of the farm seem to be hiding a terrible, evil, secret.

Starting anew was tough. 

He wasn’t very good in high school. Not that he was dumb, he just barely ever showed up, just enough to pass so his mom could be happy. He didn’t bother with college, content with just staying in his mom’s basement and zooming around stealing Twinkies and junk. One man’s trash is another man’s treasure. 

He was content, until he was twenty and found out who his father was. Erik Lensherr, the infamous Magneto. 

So Peter Maximoff found himself at Charles Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters, and he made himself a home there. Eventually, after Erik flip flopped from evil back to good, Peter was able to introduce himself to his dad, and became an X-Man. He built a relationship with his father, and began being friends with Alex Summers. 

Alex liked being an X-Man, he really did. He liked saving the world. Not only was it an ego boost, but, well, he didn’t like people dying. 

But there was something he liked more.

Peter and Alex were movie nerds, spending a lot of their free time at the movies or watching old films in one of their rooms, snacking away and chattering about whatever the hell they were watching. Peter was always into the story itself, dissecting the plot and hidden meanings. A lot of people just assume he’s dumb because of his laid back personality and shitty school attendance, but he really was smart, he was. He was smart and he talked fast and he would yap and yap for hours about interesting films, and Alex would nod along and talk about it as well.

Alex was a cinematography guy. Not so concerned with the content of the film, more interested in how it’s laid out and portrayed. He was good with a camera. Really good. So good he wanted the world to know it.

“I don’t know, I feel I’m cut out for more than this,” he had said once.

Peter, who was busy on Super Mario Bros, had glanced at him, “For more than saving lives?”

“Like… I like doing this, but I’m not as happy as I would hope… I was looking at NYU.”

“...for what?” Peter had laughed, but he was genuinely intrigued. 

“Imma be a director, dude. I can do more than this. I can use more than the mutations already given to me, y’know? I wanna prove myself, work hard and build myself to the top,” Alex had then said something that really stuck with Peter: “I will not accept a life I do not deserve,”

Alex wanted more with his life. And to be honest, Peter did too.

And that was how they ended up at NYU. Peter was terrified he wasn’t going to get in due to his shitty attendance in high school, however, like mentioned before, he was genuinely smart, his portfolio was sound, and he became a film student. 

He and Alex had plans. 

He was the imagination. With his speedy mutations, he was writing up ideas and storylines and soon full scripts within minutes. Alex was the bow, putting it all together into a complete idea. A master with the camera, and a genius when it came to editing.

That was the plan.

Actually attending classes was miserable. Staying in a chair for whole class periods, unmoving, was utter torture. But he pushed through, determined to get through with this.

He will not accept a life he does not deserve. He will persevere. Soon, everyone will know Peter Maximoff and Alex Summers.

Now, at 23, his junior year at NYU, he and Alex had a class together. A film class, of course, and they paired together for a project, of course.

The most boring project known to man.

They were stuck filming a documentary during their whole week of Spring Break. What the hell was Peter supposed to do? Narration? That was about it. 

The most boring piece of shit, at the most boring piece of shit of a place. Springlake Farms. In the middle of Butt Fuck Nowhere, Texas. 

Alex had chose this place because the story was interesting. It was one of those farms with plenty of lodging for guests. Twenty-five years ago, during the Christmas season, the lodge was filled to capacity by a big family. Everyone’s mom, dad, aunt, and uncle was there. A billion cousins, it seemed. Within twenty-four hours, they were all dead.

Every. Single. One. Of. Them.

The owners of the farm mysteriously vanished as well, cops coming to the conclusion that they were the ones responsible for this massacre. The new owners are distant cousins of the previous, and so Alex and Peter were here to learn more about the farm and this mystery. 

The duo was there in seconds, thanks to Peter’s speed. He removed his hand from Alex’s neck (gotta prevent the whiplash!), eyeing the establishment with a grin, “It’s shitty,”

“Ugly as hell,” Alex said in agreement, “Perfect,”

“It’ll look spooky on camera,” 

“Spooky as hell,” A smirk appeared on Alex’ face.

Peter fiddled with the strap of his camera, hung around his neck, “We should check in,”

“Yeah, then we can film this area, the first view of the house,” Alex was already envisioning the scene they were going to film, eyes scanning the fields, calculating, “We already have permission to film everywhere, we just have to ask for permission to film people,”

Peter nodded, following Alex towards the front door, “I feel like I’m going to be so useless,”

“Hey,” Alex glanced at him from over his shoulder, “This is a team effort. That narration needs to perfectly encompass the terrifying and eerie feel this place needs to give to the viewers.”

“By viewers, you mean our professor?” 

“Yeah, yeah, yeah,” Alex rolled his eyes, “You’ll do just fine. Remember, you got-”

“-The x-factor,” Peter finished. He interrupted Alex quite often, he just talks too slow. And he always knew when Alex was going to mention their “x-factor”, he said it all the time. 

“Exactly,” Alex grinned, before turning ahead of him and knocking on the door. 

Almost immediately, a sweet-looking older woman answered, “hello, there! What young, handsome men we have in lil’ ol’ Springlake today. You the film boys?”

“Yes,” Alex replied politely, “I’m Alex, and this is Peter,” 

“Perfect! I’ll have my daughter show you to your lodgin’ for the week, alrighty then?” 

“Thank you, ma’am,” Alex responded. He was always the one interacting with anyone they had to speak with for projects, considering Peter was already zoned out.

He was way too focused on the gorgeous girl that just came out of the farm to give a shit about what some old lady was saying. 

A sweet-looking girl in a pair of overalls and a red shirt underneath, walking with a bucket in hand. Holy shit. That was beauty right there. That… that right there was one hot mama. Holy cannoli. 

“Y/N!” the older woman shouted, “Get yer lil’ ass o’er here!” 

Peter’s eyes widened. That hot girl in the overalls was this woman’s daughter? That total babe was going to show him and Alex to their cabin? 

Stone Cold Steve Austin ran through his mind. Can I get a hell yeah?

Hell yeah.

“Comin’, Mama!” the girl shouted back in reply, and her voice was like fucking honey. Holy shit. She made her way over, giving Peter and Alex a sweet smile, “These two the film fellas?” 

Her mother nodded, handing her two pairs of keys, “Get these young gentlemen to ‘eir loging,” 

“Yes, ma’am,” Y/N’s attention went to Peter and Alex, “Follow me!”

Peter followed. He followed like a fucking puppy following their owner. Practically breathing down her neck, he was so fucking close to her, “So…” he began, “How’s the farm life treating ya?” Shit, he sounded so dumb. ‘How’s the farm life treating ya’ ? That’s the only life this girl knows. 

“It’s the dream,” Y/N replied brightly. However, once she was sure her mother was out of earshot, she said: “It’s fuckin’ miserable,”

Oh!

“How come?” Alex quipped, wanting to be part of the conversation with the hot chick too. 

She shrugged, “I don’t belong here. I’m destined for greater things,” she turned back ahead of her, a little bounce in her step, as if she was daydreaming her new life.

“I respect that,” Alex said in agreement.

“What bigger things?” Peter asked, making sure to show his interest in her goals. Girls liked that, right? He wouldn’t know, considering he had spent most of his high school years skipping class and playing video games. 

Y/N shrugged again, “I wanna be a star,” she said dreamily, a sweet smile on her pretty face. 

“Like, movie star?”

“Somethin’ like that,” she stopped in front of the door of some worn-out cabin, unlocking the door, “This be yer cabin for the next week!”

“Thank you so much, Y/N,” said Alex, immediately throwing his suitcase down on the couch, “We really appreciate what your family is doing for us,”

“Ah, filmin’ a movie, right?” she questioned, leaning against a wall as Peter threw his own suitcase next to Alex’s. 

“Documentary, to be specific,” Peter explained, before promptly disappearing. Hell, he loved hot chicks, but his nosiness came first, and he was zooming through the small cabin, opening drawers and cabinets and closets in curiosity, returning a few milliseconds late, “Nice,” It was not nice, but he wanted Y/N to feel good.

“Really?” she raised a brow, “It’s shit,”

“You’re right, it’s shit,” he sighed, scratching the back of his neck awkwardly.

“Don’t tell my mama I said that, she’ll get pissed,” Y/N giggled, the most melodic sound Peter had ever heard in his entire life. “I best be off, got chores t’do,” she turned to leave before pausing and glancing at Peter, “I can always show you ‘round if you like,” she added, biting her bottom lip before leaving. 

It was silent for a moment, Peter practically drooling as he watched her walk off. Alex was quiet as a mouse too, until a smirk appeared on his face.

“Holy shit dude,” Alex exclaimed with wide eyes, “She was totally checking you out!”

“What? Noooo,” Peter scoffed, “There’s no way,” 

“She was giving you ‘fuck me’ eyes, bro!” Alex clapped Peter’s back in praise, “Lucky bastard. She’s hot as hell,” 

A huge shit-eating grin plastered on the speedster’s face as he glanced back at the now empty doorway, “She’s hot as hell,” he agreed. 

“And she totally digs you, man. Lucky bastard!” Alex repeated. “I can always show you ‘round if you like,” he repeated Y/N’s words, terribly imitating her Southern accent. “I’m so horny, Peter. I need you so bad, Peter!” 

His cheeks flushed red at Alex’s words, “Shut!”

“Oh you better bag that chick, man, or you’ll surely be the dumbest man in the world,” 

He grinned, seating himself on the couch. Alex was right on that one, however, Peter had zero experience. Like, at all. So he already knew he was the dumbest man in the world because he knew he surely will not bag that chick. 

Well… if Alex was right, she already had an interest in Peter. There was a chance he could actually make this work!

Unfortunately, Y/N was not the only one interested in Peter.

The more and more I rewatch season 2 of Arcane and the more I talk about it with my friend, the more I see problems with the writing and how they did the characters

A lot of it revolving around Jayce specifically and how they seem to have sacrificed Jayce and Viktor's individual characterization and why I don't see Viktor and Jayce together and much prefer they stay just friends and focused more on their own individual struggles and stories

(It seemed like they wanted to put more emphasis on how much Viktor and Jayce need each other rather than focus on how they need to fix up their own individual growth, like how Mel was basically cast aside for some reason as if she and Jayce weren't a thing so he left her alone to become astral buddies with his partner without even saying good bye to Mel first

Sure, just forget the woman who influenced you greatly both in bad and good ways, the same woman who was trying to convince the council not to want weapons made with Hexcore

Forget the woman who you would go to for comfort and who WAS THERE FOR YOU WHILE YOU WERE STRUGGLING WITH YOUR DYING BEST FRIEND

And how Viktor keeps on doing stupid shit like not defending himself or hiding in Act 2 when he himself says that Jayce is not acting like himself and even invites Jayce, thus allowing Jayce to do exactly what you would expect your bestfriend who you said seemed not like himself would do, kill people

He wastes Ambessa's and Singed's time and visits Jayce first even though he can just forcefully get Jayce to join him anyway by having Singed already go through the plan in Act 3 when Viktor was a villain

But nah, doc, gotta talk with my boyfriend first even though I'm currently supposed to be the version of myself that prioritizes evolution more cuz I changed after being killed)

(I wish they went more in depth about Viktor wanting to help the people of Zaun and creating inventions while also struggling with his own flaws and weaknesses both physically and mentally while also having to deal with the discrimination and ignorance of Piltover towards what they keep doing that ends up harming Zaun)

(I wish they went more in depth about how ignorant and naive Jayce is with how he keep accidentally causing more harm towards Zaun like when Ekko called him out for basically making shit that bring the trash of Piltover over to Zaun. Then have Jayce start to grow more as a character and actually LEARN AND KEEP TRYING to go against the superficial demands of his fellow council members and actually try to help the people of Zaun properly by actually listening to them and not just listen to the higher ups because he's a people pleaser. Have Jayce learn more to be independent and less susceptible to being easily manipulated and influenced

DO NOT JUST IMMEDIATELY SHOW SOME TIME TRAVELLING BULLSHIT THEN HAVE JAYCE SUDDENLY KILL GOD VIKTOR THEN SUDDENLY MAKE JAYCE SEEM LIKE HE'S RHE HERO ALL ALONG WHEN WE DIDN'T PROPERLY SEE HIS CHARACTER GROW OTHER THAN HIM BEING FORCED TO BE HARDENED DUE TO THE TRAUMA OF BEING TRAPPED IN A DYSTOPIA

That's not growth, THAT'S TRAUMA

AND PLEASE, FOR THE LOVE OF FUCKING GOD, STOP MAKING HIM DO THE "Trust me bro" SHIT LIKE HOW HE DIDN'T ELABORATE ON HOW HEXCORE IS A CURSE TO VIKTOR AND HOW ALL HE DID TO PROVE VIKTOR IS BAD IS SHOW A MANNEQUIN)

Like, with Jayce and Mel, they barely had a proper resolution with Jayce just leaving Mel to play Astral God with Viktor without even thinking about how this would affect Mel

And with Jayce's decision to kill Viktor I initially thought "Okay, cool"

I was initially fine with Jayce being a dumbass in season 1 mostly because his dumbassery is constantly called out (Vi calls him out when he panics about killing a child by pointing out how he people have been harming for years and he is just to ignorant about it, Viktor KEEPS calling out Jayce's bullshit like with preventing Zaunites from crossing the bridge and Jayce considering making weapons)

But season 2, not many people do that as much so I ended up getting more and more mad with Jayce's actions since not many of the characters are gonna call him out

The closest was (again) Viktor who full on ended their partnership because Jayce broke their promised, revived Viktor with the thing that killed Sky, and MADE WEAPONS with said thing

Now onto Viktor, my main problem is THEY HAD MORE POTENTIAL TO FLESH OUT VIKTOR'S CHARACTER

s6 episode 1 thoughts

season 6!!!! my goodness, how the time sure has flown!! i started this whole project in may of last year, and now we are in january! so much has changed! but other things have stayed the same. 

i have heard mixed things on s6, so i am a bit nervous. but i am excited to be reunited. 

i am also curious to see where exactly the movie was set after the finale of s5. has it been a while, or only a few days? has our little friend gibson been missing this whole time? what about diana- did she pull through? will we get to know more about her?

we need to microchip gibson so we never lose him again. 

(i felt vindicated when people told me diana isn’t a fandom favorite, LMAO. i’m usually the girl that goes to BAT for overhated female characters, but she just seemed too intentionally antagonistic towards scully)

so… this episode shall deal with our agents going on a hunt. well, they had best be careful! there are a bunch of different aliens and beasts on the loose!

(post-episode thoughts: my fury at mulder is 75% normal juni rage and 25% enhanced by me being sick and emotional, a fact i only put together the morning AFTER i took all of these notes. you have been warned....)

and now he is presenting before a panel. he says the x files were destroyed “several months ago”, which places us on a vague timeline. scully is here!!!!

“i see your renowned arrogance has been left quite intact”, says this dude on the panel, and HEY! mulder literally isn’t even being arrogant at THIS MOMENT, OKAY? plenty of other times he is. but not now, as he is submitting his report on this alien spaceship!!

“i didn’t see men in black” “well it’s a damn good movie” <- LMAO they are BULLYING HIM!!!

scully looks pained.

so they reopened the x files, then denied his reassignment? are they going to assign them to someone else? or just close them again?? will they keep scully on them?

skinner said that the vote was unanimous… he must have been trying not to blow his cover as mulder’s biggest supporter… but i'm sure this still made mulder very sad

so he gets all his stuff up and starts to leave. BUT SKINNER WANTS TO HELP HIM FIND PROOF??? SO HE CAN PROVE THE OTHERS WRONG??

he says there’s a file on his desk in the old office……. and sure enough, there is.

so, they’re going to sneak him off somewhere. maybe to an alien hunt and then the hospital. but alas, who approaches them in the parking lot?

she tells mulder that she took the assignment to represent his interests, reminds him that THEY found the x files together, and says that they should go find the beast right now. sure. whatever. you go find the beast, let scully doctor the poor boy. whatever. like i care.

he agrees to do just that, which i actually do think is morally wrong, because now scully has to play single mother to this sick boy. what if she gets sleepy and he is stolen from under her, like what happened with diana?

but diana and mulder are off to the nuclear reactor. mulder thinks that maybe the alien baby needs to be warm… maybe to grow?

so scully is with gibson, and he accuses her of only thinking about herself and what she can learn from him. “i’m a very special lab rat”, he says (deep and sad scully sigh)

gibson just wanting to be a normal kid, and scully wanting to take care of this normal kid who is sadly being used for ulterior motives, but also knowing that if she wants to keep her job and prove the x files, that she must test upon him, too... she must have felt so conflicted... and he must have been able to sense that...

meanwhile, mulder and diana are sneaking into a nuclear reactor. i hope they don’t kiss. i don’t wanna see that shit.

His hand feels warm against yours, his palm slightly rough from working hard. You play with his hand, moving it around, preferring to observe him than listen to whatever your teacher says. Your fingers travel along his hand, tracing his knuckles and playing around with them, comparing hands and accidentally cracking a few of his knuckles by your roughness. His giggles when you do make you smile, he tries to keep it down, but the smile is evident on his face as he copies down notes. He looks unbothered, but comfortable with your presence.

Meanwhile, unbeknownst to you, he was trying so, so hard to not confess to you right then and there.

Pavitr was naturally perceptive, he was very good at reading people and observed them easily. Yet, he couldn’t tell if you liked him. Sometimes, you would do all these things that couples do like sitting on his lap, intertwining your hand with his, walking so close that your shoulders brush his with each step, laughing so hard at an unfunny joke he made, making him believe that he might have a chance, but then you would switch up and call him something like “bhau” that makes him backtrack in all his theories that you may like him back. He prided himself on knowing you well, of being observant yet he couldn’t figure out your feelings for him. Either way, he felt flustered when you would initiate physical affection, like now. As he finished his notes with one free hand, he looked over to your figure that was focused entirely on his hand. It felt oddly intimate, considering the mundaneness of the action.

You looked so endearing, a few strands of hair fell forward into your eyes, he loved merely watching you and seeing your beauty. Your eyes that held your emotions, the bridge of your nose that he wanted to trace over and over—

His thoughts are disrupted as a bell signals the end of the day and your eyes snap forward as you realize how long you had zoned out, just holding his hand. You and Pavitr speed up to collect your belongings and get out of class as fast as possible.

As you walk out together, Pavitr’s mind isn’t truly with you. His thoughts focus solely on how close you are, your shoulders touch and your hands are tightly linked together. A small smile on his face as he accepts every small affection you give towards him and his memory fades to the first time he realized how in love with you he was.

It was winter, you and him bundled up in heavy and weighted blankets on his bed as you watched silly movies and laughed at them. You were focused on laughing at the bad CGI and unrealistic physics, smiling with teeth and making sure Pavitr was looking.

His arm was behind your neck, serving as a small pillow for you and your warmth radiated to him. It was as if winter didn’t exist and he let himself be lost in you. Your nose scrunches up at the inaccuracy in the movie as you remark something else that the director probably exaggerated, explaining how it wouldn’t work out in real life. He looks at your lips as they move and realize how much he just wants to kiss them.

“—so stupid. Like, how hard is it to search something up?” You exclaim, your hands moving as you talk. He chuckles at your enthusiasm and he thinks about how much he loves every part of you. Every single nook and cranny of yours, he wants to explore. He wants to know what you’re thinking right now as you’ve gone silent while still glaring at the screen in front of you. He wants to spend every second of his future by your side. He then realizes, that’s how he has felt his whole life. He’s wanted to be yours, to be the one to hold your heart and keep it safe, he wanted you to be his. Protect you and love you, that’s all he’s wanted to do since he had the ability to comprehend emotions. He has a dazed, but fading smile as he thinks of possible consequences for his feelings while you continue watching.

Your voice brings him back to reality and you’re alarmingly close to parting ways as your house is in view and he panics, he always seems to have a hard time separating from you. Though, it’s inevitable and he knows it.

“Bye, Pav.” Your voice sounds soft and your hands linger as if you don’t want to leave either and for a second, he lets himself believe you like him back. For merely a second.

He smiles back, and reluctantly begins to say his farewells when you continue speaking, “Do you wanna come in?” you have a hopeful smile and eyes filled with happiness and how could he ever refuse you?

You two walk by the kitchen, up your stairs and into your bedroom. You hadn’t actually planned on doing anything with Pavitr when you invited him in so you started on some of your homework, knowing you’d be content just knowing he was around you.

He gets comfortable on your bed beside you, scrolling on his phone instead as he usually preferred to finish his homework during class.

A few hours pass and you’d changed from doing homework to braiding your best friend’s hair as you two watch some indie film to pass the time together. Your hands repeat the motion of putting part over another, it’s almost therapeutic for the both of you.

Pavitr always loved when you braided or played with his hair, it was always calming to him and he was so, so close to sleep when his spidey senses went off, alerting him there was a threat in Mumbattan.

He tensed up, coming up with a quick lie to tell you, eventually ending up with, “Sorry, shonu, Maya Auntie needs me,” he holds up his phone and pretends to be shocked at the non-existent message.

You’re disappointed, you wanted to spend more time with him, but you know you can’t spend every second with him. “Tell her I said hi,” you smile and he smiles back, grabbing his things quickly before rushing down the stairs and to his house to get his suit.

Pavitr is positively panicking. After he had gone to his house, after he had left you, that villain wanna-be decided to try and defeat Spiderman instead of just focusing on his rather unsuccessful robbing. The random villain had terrible coordination, but forceful hits. He wasn’t winning by any means, no one could beat Spiderman, but Pavitr would probably gain a few nasty scratches and bruises from the fight. His webs shooting out and trying to capture him while also evading more swings at him.

As he stepped on the edge of a roof, the part he stood on had cracked and for a split-second, his spidey senses went off, but he couldn’t turn around in time and had gotten pushed into the wall, scratches littered across his body.

Feeling fed up with how much the fight had dragged on, he quickly captured the villain and once he knew the police were there and would take care of anything, he tried to swing back home. Unfortunately, his torso and arms then prevented him from doing so and he let out a small curse as he knew he was too far from his house to try walking there, every part of him hurt. His luscious hair was slightly dishevelled and heavily matted with blood and debris scattered everywhere. He looked around in the cold night, looking for somewhere he could rest for the night. His eyes moved around before catching sight of your house, he figured it wouldn’t be too weird going into your bedroom as Spiderman. He failed to remember how weird it would be to have a vigilante show up at your house, injured. Also that he hadn’t told you he was Spiderman yet.

You were laying in bed, ears filled with the quiet sound of your music in your room. A slight expression of despair was painted on your face, you’d texted Pavitr earlier in the day. He hadn’t responded and was leaving you on delivered for a few hours, leading you to think the worst. Your overthinking may have taken control, anything logical or reasonable was thrown out the window.

Speaking of which, a singular knock sounded at it. Your face twisted in confusion, who would knock at this time of night?

You checked your phone for any message indicating someone you might know was at your window and slowly creeped towards it. As you didn’t find any messages from your friends, you became suspicious until you looked at who was outside.

Spiderman. Spiderman was outside your goddamn bedroom window.

It took you a moment to process it was him, a million questions running through your brain like why was he there, what does he want from you, before you realized that it’d probably be a little rude to be leaving him in the cold, alone. You hastily unlocked the window and moved out the way to help him in.

As he clumsily climbed into your window, he looked around. Pavitr always loved being in your room, anything relating to you he enjoyed, really. He then remembered, in this moment, he wasn’t Pavitr to you. He was Spiderman. He looked at you awkwardly, trying to figure out what your shocked expression meant as well as what to say to justify being in your bedroom.

You stared right back at him, eyes wide and lips parted slightly in surprised. You didn’t know what to say, so you observed him instead which is when you saw the state of his hair, messy and blood tangled within. You had also noticed the rips in his torso and the dried blood and debris around it.

You and him spoke at the same time, “So,”

“I’m-” He was about to apologize, it felt rude not to do so.

You smiled awkwardly and were about to let him continue, since you know, he’s spiderman, but he insisted you go first. He seemed very respectful. “Do you, uh,” You started speaking, trying to figure out how to articulate the thoughts in your foggy brain. “Need help cleaning up?” you suggested.

Spiderman immediately began shaking his head, he already felt bad for imposing like this, he couldn’t ask for more of your kindness. He smiled and responded, “No thank you, sakhya,” You raise your brow at that, “it’ll heal in the morning.” He wasn’t wrong, but wasn’t entirely right. It’d probably heal, just not very well without proper care, but he supposed it wouldn’t be too bad.

You were stubborn, though. You couldn’t just let Spiderman bleed without doing anything, so you just shook your head and told him so, “I can’t let you just bleed and get an infection or whatever. That’s mūrkha,” He started to protest and you shushed him, immediately telling him to sit on your bed as you went to your bathroom to get some medical supplies.

Pavitr sat on the very edge of the bed. Although he’d been in your bed countless of times, in more comfortable situations, he felt weird about doing that as Spiderman. He again looked at your room like he’d never been in it before, looking at the photos of you and him strung up everywhere. Your room was decorated with the idea to make your personality shine though, he knew that was true especially because of that one deep talk on that random autumn night. He thought it was nice.

Soon, you came back with probably more medical care than he needed. Still, it never hurt to be overprepared with this kind of thing. You didn’t know where to start, his injuries seemed overwhelming and every single one seemed worse than the other.

You decided on doing the ones on his torso first, his mask was slightly ripped and although you wanted to badly fix the injuries on his face, fix his hair, he probably kept his identity a secret for a reason.

He leaned back as you started gently dabbing some vaseline on his torso, he flinched at the feeling. You felt oddly close to him in the moment, feeling familiar with him as if you had known him for years, though you’d never had an interaction with him before this. Merely watching news on him, admiring him.

You put some more ointment and then gauze on the more serious injuries, wrapping around his waist tightly which caused him to wince and you to whisper a small sorry, before you continued with helping him clean up. You grabbed some bandaids, seeing some small scratches on his arm and put some ointment on before sticking a bandaid on top. Gently patting it just to make sure it stayed, the real reason was you just wanted an excuse to touch him, it felt nice for an odd, unknown reason.

Once you were sure he had no other injuries on his body, you needed to treat the ones on his face. You were apprehensive, but spoke anyways, “Can you take off your mask?” At his bewildered expression, at least you think he’s shocked considering his eyes seemed to widen, you explain, “I need to treat your wounds,”

At that, Pavitr panics. He hates lying to you, but he isn’t sure he can reveal his identity to you. He thinks of ways to excuse it, but he knows you’re stubborn more than anything. Everything seems to slow down in the moment, time feels like it stops and it feels like an impossible ten years as he reaches up and takes his time pulling off his mask. He prepares himself for the words you might spew at him, would you still see him the same? Doubts overshadow the logical and reasonable part of his brain that tells him that you probably wouldn’t hate him for eternity.

When his mask is fully off, you take a moment to look at him. You cannot comprehend the sight infront of you.

Pavitr Prabhakar is Spiderman.

Your best friend is Spiderman, the masked vigilante that roams around your city. Pavitr, the guy you’d known since you could remember, the one you call when you need comfort, is Spiderman. There are so many things going through your brain, like remembering that one time Pavitr showed up to school with a bad bruise on his face, coincidentally the morning after Spiderman had gotten hit in the same spot with a pole, realizing that the reason he would abruptly leave when you two were hanging out were because a villain was on the loose. You cannot believe you knew Spiderman all along.

He stares at your expression, unable to really make something of it. He knows you’re shocked, but are you mad? Are you disappointed in him? Do you hate him? He suddenly feels the need to apologize for everything wrong he’s ever done.

Your mouth opens and closes, trying to figure out what to say to something like this. You still love him of course, but you feel so scared that the guy you’re in love with has life threatening fights nearly everyday, risking so much for Mumbattan. Your breath seems to disappear.

“I’m sorry, I’m so sorry,” He says your special nickname he made for you when you were younger and innocent children. He jumbles words, seemingly saying whatever comes to mind and his mouth won’t work as fast as his brain. He seems close to tears as he continues rambling, “—please, don’t leave me, I’ll—” he gets interrupted by you,

“Woah, what? Is that what you really thought would happen?” You feel a little hurt by that, even though you know subconsciously he was probably just so very scared of losing you, you’d never think of him like that. There was nothing that could make you leave him.

He starts fidgeting, “Well..” he trails off. He hopes you know he didn’t mean harm, he just wasn’t sure. Being Spiderman was complicated.

You smile a bittersweet smile at him, still sort of sad he would think of something like that, “We've been by each other's sides for years, you really think I'm gonna leave now?” You remind him of all the weak moments in his life, in yours and remembers that you’re there in all of them. Comforting him and him comforting you. You gently cradle his face and he feels so warm and you make him feel so safe that he can’t help it when he says,

“I love you,” He doesn’t realize what he said until he sees your expression, he thinks for that slight second that he just made it weird again, that you really won’t let this one slide, until he feels your soft lips against his. A soft kiss and he feels nice. It feels like you’re taking care of him and he relaxes in your touch.

When you pull away, he chases your lips and you giggle. You press your foreheads together and whisper, like you’re sharing a secret, like it’s only you and him in the world right now, “I love you too,” and he plays with your hair as he leans in for another kiss and another.

The kisses shared between you two are full of gentleness and giggles, you go to touch his hair and you then remember the reason he even came to you in the first place.

“Go clean up, your hair is a mess and I still need to fix your wounds.” He chuckles and does what you say. For the first time since he became Spiderman, he feels so relaxed.

bro this is awesome! I already have some little zombie apocalypse aus here (mainly bcs I watched Train to Busan) but I'll definitely yap more about them!!

I'm imagining the world is in meltdown and Gale and John live in different states when the meltdown happens, but are forced together when they try to escape

Gale is smart, he knows how the zombies attack and when, knows it's best to travel at night so that they don't see them

John is strong, he can fight the zombies off and protect the group when he needs to

The only "safe states" are maybe some of the super underpopulated ones in the Midwest, so all of the people not infected are encouraged to make their way to those states for quarantining

Gale and John meet when they're traveling to those states, when they meet John has to convince Gale that he's not infected bcs Gale has a strict policy of shoot anything that moves and ask questions later

They become tentative allies as they work their way across the states, using John's strength and Gale's intelligence to successfully survive most of their journey

At some point Gale is able to make a radio, where it plays an old baseball game when it's complete, and John instantly beams at the sound

Gale was originally going to use the radio to see if the safe states were sending out signals to survivors, but can't bring himself to change it when he sees John smile for the first time

They get into a couple of close calls, Gale almost gets bit and that's when they realize how close they've gotten, how deeply they care about each other. Because John couldn't handle the thought of Gale dying, needs him to be safe

They set up a little camp in the woods after the encounter, Gale still incredibly shaken by the event but trying his best to hide it, and John is desperate to comfort him.

Gale frets that he's just pulling John down, John should just leave him behind bcs he's a liability

John shuts him up by kissing him then, promising Gale that he's not a liability and that he helps John so much, they're gonna get through this together, by God they're gonna get through this together

this wouldn't be a post by Tumblr user brotherwtf if I didn't add some heart shattering angst so John gets bitten, despite their best efforts, and on the border of the safe state they were travelling towards

Even while the guards of the state lines yell at him to cross over, to leave him behind, Gale refuses to leave John's side, even when his eyes glaze over and his mouth froths and he shakes with the urge to fight the infection

Gale holds him close to his chest, crying and begging John to stay with him, he promised they were going to get through this, he's gotta make it

The officers eventually wrench Gale away from John's body bcs this dumbass is going to get bitten and he's gonna die, but Gale goes screaming and crying bcs John can't be dead, he promised

Gale will spend the rest of his life in this quarantined state, thinking about how he had failed John and let him die

Sooooo I watched the new Descendants movie.

I have a LOT of things to say about it.

I won't talk about the fact that everyone goes to the same school because it's already been talked by many and many people. Yes it's dumb, we can all say that and agree on this point.

The first thing I need and want to say is the songs. I listened to the songs of the first three movies, and there really wasn't THAT MUCH auto-tune.

All the songs in the new movie are very autotuney, you can hear how much post-production there is.

This, and the fact that EVERY SONG has part where they talk/sing. I don't know if there's a word for it. It's like they were like "young people love rap and pop, so we will do a mix of this!" but it's not rap, and it's not really pop.

And that's the thing I'm the most mad about. I love the songs that Disney Channel offers us, and I think it's the first time where no song really hit me.

Now, let's talk about the plot. I wasn't expecting that ending. The fact that they succeed wasn't something I predicted. Because in everything that involves Time Travel, we're always told that changing the past would change the future and that it could have some repercussions that won't be good.

I was really expecting them to be the one who would provoc the prank as they were meddling. I thought that Ulyana would have the book thanks to them making a mistake or something like that.

I also really thought that we would see that ball before they go back. Because what if it wasn't Ulyana but someone else who pranked Bridget? Then they would have done everything for nothing.

The end confirms that changing the past will have repercussions but I don't really want another movie with Ulyana coming back as an adult or something else. 🙄 Or just, I don't want another movie PERIOD.

Also, I want to talk about the beginning.

So you're telling me that Mal, Ben, Evie and Jay left and they let Uma in charge of the kingdom? Like wtf bro.

Why would they let UMA of all the people in charge? I thought that Uma would just be the principal, not in charge of everything...

Ben's parents are still alive, they can retake their throne for a moment, while continuing Ben's policies for the time he's away.

(Even though, the king and queen shouldn't left their kingdom like that, without a heir, because you know... Frozen? Tangled the serie? An accident can happen really fast)

Oh and, Uma said Auradon was created 30 years ago, so it's been nine/eight years since Descendants? (Mal said 20 years ago at the beginning of the first movie) And it's just now that they decide to leave? 🙄

About the plot of the movie, I didn't find it really entertaining, I won't say it was a bad moment watching this, but I won't say that it was a good moment either... It was okay, at best.

The characters were not that good and except Red, and maybe the young Ella for her talk to Chloe, I can't say that I like them.

You're telling me that Cinderella's OWN DAUGHTER doesn't know what her mom past was?? She doesn't know she was abused and treated like a servant by her stepmother and her stepsisters??

No wonder that Chad was like that if they were raised as royals and never learned about anything else. She doesn't know how to wipe the floor. She touched a vase and it broke?

What did their mom taught them?? I was very happy to have Brandy and Paolo back at first, but if it's to portray them as royals and that's all, then what's the point??

Ella was Bridget's best friend, she said "let's go together to the ball" but when she was there, she left her for the prince?? 🙄 And then, Bridget got back to her kingdom and never saw Ella again?

That's not what I call a best friend. Evie is Mal's best friend because she acknowledged what Mal went through, and she told her that it was okay if she wanted to stay on the Isle, that it didn't mean they wouldn't stay friends. They had a beautiful duet in Descendants 2 about their friendship. And through the movies, they showed that they were there for each other.

When Evie needed comfort after Chad? Mal was there, telling her she was smart.

When Mal got her first date? Evie was there.

When Mal ran away to the Isle, Evie felt bad for not noticing what was happening to her best friend, and got back there, even though we know that she hates this place.

When Mal got cursed by Audrey, Evie was there, telling her she was still beautiful, and she accompanied her to the Isle.

When Doug was asleep and Evie was doubting about their love? Mal (and Uma) were there, telling her to try it. Mal knew that it would work because she knew that they both loved each other.

In every occasion, the three original movies showed us what it was like being a best friend. And in the fourth one, it didn't work. Nor with Bridget and Ella, nor with Red and Chloe. (Even if it's arguable that it's the beginning of Red and Chloe's relationship so who knows in the future?)

But the point was that Ella wasn't a good friend to Bridget if she just let her deal with Ulyana's prank. And if she said that it was just a prank, without considering the effect it might have on Bridget.

But it doesn't mean I hated everything. I liked the hommage to Carlos/Cameron. The picture of him, Uma talking about what he would have wanted... You know it's not just acting, and that China was really emotional because Cameron was a good friend of hers.

I liked Red's character, how she doesn't want to be like her mom, how she does what she wants, and she doesn't care. She stays herself through the movie and I like that.

I wish I could say that I like Chloe but unfortunately it's too soon. I need to see her growing, and understanding what the young Ella told her. She needs to learn that not everything is easy for everyone in life.

(oh and can someone explain me WHY she'll be the next queen if she has an older brother? As if Chad wouldn't be interested to be the next ruler. And as if his parents wouldn't let him have the throne because of what he did in the Descendants movies. He was still a teenager, he can always grow up. Especially after what Audrey did to him, it change a man)

I realized that it's already a big post, so I will stop here I think. There's so many things I could say, but I think I talked about the main points.

Overall, it was not a bad film per se, but not a good one either. I wished the songs were better and fited the actors' voices better.

(Like, Dara Renee has a great voice, her villain song could have been a big ballad with some big high notes that we know she can sing.

Also, Rita Ora has a great voice, I'm not her fan, but she CAN sing, and her song was meh. Too much talking. At least Brandy got "So this is love" to show her beautiful voice a bit.)

first of all, it was so lovely !!! i don’t know what i was expecting but i really didn’t think it would be an actual satellite made out of bricks. i was very wrong

all the dynamics were so sweet, i didn’t expect to like john and rose as much as i did, but they are such little nerds together. anna was so cool and i really liked how the satellite was being built because of how she lost her father. they just wanted to help people. she’s also so real for wanting to stay in the satellite

i hate charles, who does this guy think he is?? literally stirring up trouble for like no good reason. what are you doing hiring mercenaries bro?? he’s a loser and i was ecstatic when rose brought out her printing press plate again!! i really hope she has a chance to use it again

margaret still has my entire heart, i love her so much!! i can’t wait to get more of her lore, im obsessed with her!! like how is she connected to moon, what even is her magic stuff? i’m so excited to learn! and her forgiving the stratfords and realizing that she has a family through her new friends made me cry. she deserves everything

like all of the songs left me in awe especially, babel, john and the earth, and a world of our own! so many of them made me tear up

i’m so compelled by the ending and everything involving sia (i already know she’s the traveler). what does it all mean??? and sia, why did you send them 30 years into the future?? what happened girlie!

Welcome to my SICK web page. I am Clive, a student at Naranja-Uva academy. I will not be posting my age, because that's "mad sketch" and not a safe use of the internet. But using people's preferred pronouns is "lit", so I will say that my pronouns are he/him.

I have joined Rotomblr on the advice of some of my BOMBASTIC friends. Fellow young students. Apparently many academy students use this website to discuss daily goings-on at the academy. And which of you are going into the Great Crater (which is NOT BASED).

And I want to share my daily YOLO moments too. Maybe I can spread some #Clivespiration with my team. (IGNORE THE IMAGE ON MY TRAINER CARD. I AM NOT SURE WHY IT RESEMBLES DIRECTOR CLAVELL AND IS MISSING MY STYLIN' POMPADOUR.)

Oranguru is my "best bro". We have been together for many years, but not that many. After all, I am clearly still in my student years. I have met many other "cray-cray" Pokémon on my travels through Paldea, as you can see on my (clearly mistaken) trainer card. I would be happy to discuss them in "asks". Hello. You all asked for it. So @aceoflilies (you may also know me as humming-pokemon-helpers) presents: Clive. (Okay, he's pretty obviously Clavell, but he's trying.)

Mod Ace (she/him) is an adult (21), happy to interact with anyone via asks, reblogs, DM's, etc. Any notes from mod will be denoted with //, or //OOC.

I'll mostly stick to canon here, but happy to interact outside it. Planning to stay mostly low-stakes here, but who knows. Clavell is the director of the biggest academy in Paldea after all.

Clive will generally deny any allegations of being Clavell. You can try, by all means, but he will not admit it. Might do some events where he's forced to answer stuff honestly, in which case I'll tag with #clavell mode.

I just had a really dumb idea, okay? Okay. Get ready for the crossover that no one needs or wants: Venture Falls. XD

Doctor Venture somehow gets his hands on a portal, but it's for time-travel. Does he know this? No, because he's an absolute knob. So he's messing around with it, fucks something up, and out of the portal come 12 year old Stans. And 13 year old Mystery Twins. The Grunkles. Wendy. Soos. 1980's Mcgucket.

Nobody knows what the absolute hell is going on, and Doc being Doc...breaks the portal. Here's how I think the giant relationship circle would go down, keeping in mind that this would be like maybe Season 4 of Venture Bros as far as character Development:

Brock would get along great with the Grunks. He'd like hearing about their harrowing adventures, and vice versa. They'd all swap war stories. Both versions of Ford would be in awe over the fact that superscientists, heros and villains exist in this world. As would Little Stan and Soos. The Little Stans, Dipper and Mabel with Hank and Dean would drive Brock and Doc insane. Little Stan and Hank would be like two peas in a pod, as would Little Ford and Dean.

Soos would be pretty chill with everyone, but would take a liking to Billy, Pete and Henchman 21. He'd even think the Monarch was cool, which is a first for him, and he'd ride that high as long as he could. XD

Both Fords and the Mystery Twins would get along with Henchman 21. 21 would be catching Grunk Ford up on all the fantasy and comic developments he'd missed while dimension hopping, while simultaneously thinking Grunk Ford was the coolest thing to ever walk the planet. He would LARP with The Mystery Twins, the Little Stans, and Soos.

Ford would initially like Rusty because he's a superscientist, then after talking to him for a bit, he goes from calling Rusty "Dr. Venture to Mr. Venture" because he realizes how insufferable Rusty is and lost all respect for him, but still wants to be polite. XD

Dipper would like SOME parts of hanging out with Dean, but would think he's a bit of a wuss. He'd much rather hang out with either of the Fords. He'd get along better with Little Stan than Grunk Stan. Mabel would probably develop a crush on Hank, and would revel in the Hank/Little Stan shenanigans.

Mcgucket would be having a panic attack in a corner, but Ford would help him through it, and he would eventually take a liking to Grunk Ford (who would feel just so, SO guilty about how he behaved when they were researching together, that he'd be trying REALLY hard to be gentle and encouraging to Fidds. ) Fidds would eventually get along with Billy, Pete and Wendy. Brock and the Venture Boys would be a bit much for him and he'd stay away from the Monarch crew altogether. But WOULD think that Dr. Mrs is hot. Because come on. So would the Grunks.

The Grunks would actually get along with her pretty well, and Wendy would think she was badass.

Nobody likes Rusty. XD
