@kat.mcnamara Well folks, #WalkerIndependence may have bit the dust but the #WalkerLegacy lives on in the story we told, the memories we created, and the town we built. Thank you Abby Walker for walking in the tall grass so future Walkers can run. Your strength, tenacity, and refusal to fit the mold serve as an inspiration moving forward. Above all, thank you for reminding me that no matter how many times you get shot off the wagon and it goes up in flames, you can always rise from the ashes and begin again. Thank you for joining us on the trail out west and making a home as we did in our little town of Independence. Most of all, thank you to the #WIndyfam - our fearless cast and crew who braved wind, hail, mosquitoes, heat, lighting, and so much dust to tell this story with heart, passion, and unparalleled artistry. We made a western - but above all, we made a family. I left my heart in Independence- and with every one of you beautiful people. All my love always - Mary Abigail “Djon-deh-zee” Mackenzie Collins Walker. ❦𖣔

I’m about half a season late, but here’s a look at some of my work from tonight’s episode of Walker: Independence. The logistics behind this scene were more significant than might appear. Take most of our wonderful actors, add a few dozen background artists, hand them all lit torches, and have them march down the not-so-affectionately nicknamed “ankle breaker hill” in the middle of a drought with no lights on a cold night. While I had the whole ridge line covered in R15s to up-light the fog and two condors in the air, we ended up turning them off during takes, instead relying on them as very fancy work lights for the cast and crew in between takes. The torches themselves produce consistent light for about 20 seconds before slowly fading to almost nothing, requiring a significant iris pull and some handheld lighting to make it to the end of a take. Each take was a ballet of special effects, props, our wonderful Steadicam operator Aiken Weiss, and our fantastic cast and background artists. And not a single ankle was harmed.

Caleb missed seeing Halliwell around the student. He had been giving her space since New Year’s since that’s what she had asked for but he had also texted her once or twice to see if she wanted to start up lessons again. He guessed it was a no. While wrapping up a dance lesson, he caught sight of blonde in his perpheral vision from the studio window out into the hall. He was quick to look though it was gone by the time he turned fully, “Okay guys, that was great. Finish your cool down by yourselves and I’ll see you next week,” he said and quickly moved out of the classroom, hoping to catch her before she got too far and ignoring the looks his students gave him, “Hali!” he exclaimed out in the hall, only to find her right there just below the window, “Hey...”

Hi,
I make period drama style gifs. If you use gif packs, please like and reblog them. Most of my projects are already ready, but every day I post no more than 190 gifs. Because that was the reason why my previous account was blocked.
I tried to make gif packs in a format more familiar to you with a link to a separate page. However, unfortunately, I did not succeed because of the large format of high-quality gifs.
I want to explain about color processing. Usually, I improve the contrast, brightness and saturation, but leave the naturalness of the film. I don't make the contours too sharp because I like the aesthetic of it looking like a natural image.

The kiddies, in my verse, where I reveal their future occupations. And not all of their endgames. *Shrugs* I think I've revealed 5/9 (Adrian, Hannah, Becca, James, and Leah).
Elizabeth "Betsy" Victoria Kelso (born January 15, 1979): Kelso and Brooke's eldest daughter, played by Minka Kelly. Is a major character earlier on in the series, and becomes a doctor. Is kind of a Laurie, but a zany one. She'll get involved in all of the kids' shenanigans, and frequently starts shenanigans of her own. Is seldom subtle.
Adrian Reginald Forman (born July 18, 1984): Fez and Laurie's son, played by Dylan O'Brien. Is a major character. Deeply introverted, he is a classic STEM nerd and avid gamer, and eventually becomes a software engineer. He doesn't have a lot in common with his dad or stepmother, or his half sister. He spends summers with Red and Kitty.
Hannah Michaela Kelso (born November 23, 1984): Kelso and Brooke's youngest daughter, played by Lyndsy Fonseca. A prominent minor character. She's a caring sweetheart with a childish whimsy. She ends up becoming a stay at home mom, and she loves every minute of it.
*****
Rebecca "Becca" Leona Hyde (born December 5, 1985): Jackie and Hyde's daughter, played by Jessica Brown Findlay. Is a major character. She's quiet and crafty, and doesn't really do well in structured environments (like school). She loves to sew and loves to listen to music. Alt pop, grunge, and oldies, mainly. She ends up setting up an alterations' shop, and helps out at Grooves sometimes. Oh, and she's bi.
Katherine "Kate" Erin Forman (born February 28, 1986): Eric and Donna's eldest daughter, played by Lacey Hannan. Is a major character. She's an idealist, and a perfectionist. She's a social butterfly, and an overachiever. But deep down, nothing she does is ever good enough. Especially after her failed stint in NYC, and a long-term relationship gone wrong. She moves back to Chicago, and works with her mother as a journalist.
James Reginald Hyde (born October 22, 1987): Jackie and Hyde's son, played by Nicholas Hoult. Is a major character. He's rebellious and ambitious, and is constantly finding ways to upend the system and make money. He ends up taking over Grooves, with his dispensary Holy Smokes as a prominent side hustle. With his wife Leah by his side...well, taking some of the edibles.
*****
Hallie Anna Rivera (born December 26, 1988): Laurie's daughter, played by Daisy Ridley. Is a major character later on in the series, as she finally falls into the Forman fold. Like Adrian, she was mostly raised by her dad. A rebellious party animal with a chip on her shoulder, the world is her oyster. Well, to crack open and destroy. She fixes things as a mechanic, eventually, like her dad. Oh, and she's a lesbian.
Ashley Maria Tate (born May 4, 1989): Fez and Rhonda's daughter, played by Josie Loren. Is a minor character. Is an avid dancer, gymnast, and cheerleader, and is an avid life of the party. She ends up taking over her parents' dance studio.
Leah Margaret Forman (born January 1, 1990): Eric and Donna's youngest daughter, played by Katie Leclerc. Is a major character. Is an awkward, nerdy tomboy with a love of Harry Potter, and is snarky and opinionated. She gets what she wants, duh. Step by step. She doesn't know what she wants for a career, though, like her dad, but ends up teaching in the same school as her dad. As an English teacher, where she can geek out over her favorite books.

@philemonchambers I guess it’s time….
Hmm oh now come on no sad faces. I can’t tell you how much fun I had on and off camera with many remarkable people. Everyday I woke up and I felt like I was in a dream and truthfully I never wanted to wake up. This cast has my heart and this crew have my unwavering respect. What y’all got to see on screen was a labor of love from hundreds of people and at times it wasn’t always easy but your response and loved pulled us through. If I could go down a list and thank everyone I wouldn’t, I’d be to scared to forget someone. Thank you to our crew that worked tirelessly everyday to make this show everything and more we could ever imagine. Thank you to my executive producers and producers and show creator….when we finished the pilot I wrote letters to each of you saying “thank you for making a black man from Compton feel like he belongs.” and till this day I still utter those same words. To my cast y’all had me smitten everyday, watching each of you work was a master class and I loved every moment of it. To our fans and let me just say I hate using that word “fan” because we are FAMILY. Thank you for allowing us into your homes and into your hearts and giving us a place to call home. Thank you for all of the love, we couldn’t have reached the heights this show did without you. To everyone who participated in this show in any way shape or capacity - you have my respect and my love forever. The sun may have finally set on our town but the memories and episodes will always be a click away.
Augustus signing out 🤠🐴
I've been really good about accepting the final cancellation notice and not crying until now... "...because we are FAMILY."
I love this show, the cast, the crew, and the creators! It was a wonderful year and I look forward to revisiting Independence and my WIndy family often in rewatches.

♕✿☂ brooke
send ♕ for a CHILDHOOD headcanon.
brooke grew up in the middle of her siblings but make no mistake.  she was baby.  it’s largely just because she’s got these two brothers who just have very Strong and sometimes Harsh personalities and she got literally all the sensitivity that was supposed to be spread between them.  she was the tattle tale and she was the one glued to their mom’s hip as much as she could be,  because it just felt like the place where they would least get away with antagonizing her of engaging in evil and exclusionary behavior.
send ✿ for a HAPPINESS headcanon.
that all being said.  it still makes her immensely happy to be around her family right now.  even if the circumstances are less than ideal,  she does love getting to listen to her brothers talk or like go grocery shopping with greer like it’s just nice to have everyone together again ( and for the first time, in regards to greer ), and her happy place would just be like some amazing pre-christmas dinner forever getting to just Exist around like to just sit in the kitchen and get to observe them even would be enough to make her feel good and warm.
send ☂ for a FOOD headcanon.
brooke loves teaching and wouldn’t give it up for the world but if she absolutely had too...... one of her go-to fantasies is owning a bakery.  she isn’t even particularly good at baking she just loves the idea of having her little kitchen sanctuary and getting to smell so damn good all the time... when she burns the second try lemon loaf she was gonna send with river for spending a night helping her make all the special bulletin board decor for her classroom she gets a rude wakeup call......  the dream ends,  back to reality.

Findlay shares the stunning self directed  visuals for new single ‘Strange One’, lifted from an upcoming solo project soon to be announced. ‘Strange One’ is the self proclaimed ‘creepy banger’, of Findlay’s upcoming solo project, soaring strings underpin an ethereal, nightmare-pop sound, in sonic contrast to previous single ‘Life Is But A Dream'. Building into a sinister climax; a cacophony of strings and synths, 'Strange One' is a bold artistic statement of intent. “It’s about feeling like an outsider and embracing your own dark traits. I wanted to create something gloomy and cinematic. Something almost supernatural sounding, I’m so happy the release could coincide with Halloween - it makes a lot of sense to release this song this time of year. The string arrangements are huge and dominating like the soundtracks to a lot of old film noir movies,” says Natalie. Visually, the video for 'Strange One' was inspired by these  classic films too, like Sunset Boulevard and Lynch’s Eraserhead.  “I’d always wanted to play around with using prosthetics and creating a weird character for myself. I’m really fascinated by the lengths people go to change how they look whether  it’s very subtle or bordering on botched and what our personal or collective idea of beauty is. Even just photoshop and filters...  Why do people filter their faces? Why is it so normalised and why are people so afraid to be their authentic selves? I’m guilty as well. I use filters, I’ve considered cosmetic treatments... I’m just afraid of where I would end if I started doing it.  The line between vanity and insecurity is so thin. I’ve been told during my career  that I should look a certain way, that I’ve been too thin or gained weight or that I’m getting too old... It's tough trying to retain some sense of self love when you’re constantly bombarded with this unreal and unattainable image of perfection that we’re fed daily, hourly even, especially as a woman.”

Pronounced “male”, Ireland’s M(h)aol burst onto the scene earlier this year, bringing something different to the post-punk genre. Their debut EP Gender Studies is out now via TULLE. Following title track ‘Gender Studies’, the 5-piece share new single ‘No One Ever Talks To Us’ which addresses the value of being in a mainly female band in a genre known for mainly men, and feeling bored of the conversation we’ve been having for decades. Singer Róisín Nic Ghearailt says, "’No One Ever Talks To Us’ is an amalgamation of our own personal experiences of being in a predominantly female band in a predominantly male genre, but also a synthesis of the autobiographical experiences of Carrie Brownstein, Kim Gordon, Kathleen Hanna etc, and how so often your value in this industry is based on whether the (men) around you find you attractive. I wanted the vocals to sound in parts like I was bored, which is true. We've been having this conversation for decades. It's time to move it on." The video was made by the band’s own Zoe Greenway, and inspired by a combination of Barbara Creed’s The Monstrous Feminine, Julia Kristeva’s Powers of Horror and Megan Fox in Jennifer's Body, media that portrays women’s roles in horror.

UK-born, Paris-based artist ALA.NI released her video for 'Le Diplomate', featuring guest vocals from Iggy Pop. The video stars an unrecognisable ALA.NI in special-effects makeup and prosthetics as 'Le Diplomate'. On her decision to portray 'Le Diplomate' in whiteface, and her reason for the two year delay in releasing the video, ALA.NI says in a statement: “So much has changed in the world. The covid pandemic and all of its challenges, being a main global issue to currently tackle. Also the acknowledgement and conscious movement that Black Lives should Matter. A statement that leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Why must I even need to ask for this in our so-called equal and free modern society? Asking to be counted, when we still pay our taxes. Very saddening. We must fight for this change. TOGETHER. My heart has been deeply hurting along with the rest of the black communities all over the world. On top of all of that, the entire human race has forbidden close contact with our fellow humans. No hugs, no kisses, so we really have much international healing work to do. TOGETHER. Nearly two years after shooting this video, does it finally feel right to release it? I had to take a few huge steps back. A black woman doing white face in today’s new "conscious" climate could be contentious. My message for this piece of a capella music and video was always a political one. After a brief encounter with a diplomat from the Sarkozy administration 4-5 years ago, I was left with an impression and aspired to convert my experience into some art expression. Luckily, Iggy Pop was up for the ride too and shared in my vision. The job of the diplomat is to be neutral, amicable and not to exploit his position by acting as a legal gangster. So what do we do when those trusted figures are corrupt from the very core? We the people must fight for truth, honesty and transparency. After all, governments are there to serve us, the people, the population. NOT their pockets. Sadly this deception and system of corruption is global and rife. So we must speak out. Through art, communication with true dialogue, and confronting the universal key issue that power must not be only for the wealthy, but for the good of heart, as we move into the future to make lasting change. TOGETHER.”

Personal Trainer, the project of Nashville-based singer-songwriter, Kayla Mickelsen and producer, George Seay are today returning with their new single, 'Main Character' which is out now via Acrophase Records (PWNT, Ginger Root). Blending diary-like songwriting with vintage production techniques, the sound of the duo lands the project into a bedroom-pop world, fusing lovelorn lyrics with intimate sounds. New single, 'Main Character' further mines their penchant for this sound arriving off the back of previous singles such as 'Obsessed'. The second new single this year from Personal Trainer is a rock-influenced ballad for those who want to take back control of their own narrative. The band continues its trend of songs that focus on working out the kinks of relationships and deciding whether things are worth fighting for. The song's energy ebbs and flows before the closing chorus where the singer is deciding to leave behind someone who is holding them back from being their own 'Main Character’.

A wildly creative multi-talented artist, Lola Blanc is a shape-shifter of sorts, and now, after the success of her past single 'Angry Too', she is coming forward with an equally jaw-dropping spooky single just in time for the colder months: 'Here Come the Wolves'. Accompanied by a haunting new music video directed by Lola Blanc herself, 'Here Comes the Wolves' is a song about justice and how we define it. Topical, important, angry, and empowering, this vampire-chic feminist anthem will stop you in your tracks. On the song, Blanc shares: "Over the past couple of years, I’ve become very interested in the idea of justice and how we define it. I was finding myself fantasizing about taking down people who’d harmed me, even though I don’t believe in punitive justice in theory. I realized that I believed in people’s potential to reform when they’ve committed crimes that are much worse than some of the things I’ve experienced, but I still had this desire to get revenge in my own life. It got to a point where I couldn’t ignore that incompatibility anymore, and I began to grapple with this idea of punishment. Anger is necessary, but at what point does it stop being healthy? Would revenge undo my trauma? Or would it perpetuate more harm? If someone has committed harm, why did they do it? Did someone harm them? Did society teach them to harm? The more deeply I look into the origins of people’s behavior, the more I tend to find the answer is yes to both of those questions. But even knowing that intellectually, those instincts don’t necessarily go away. That’s what this song is about. Going into the writing session for this song, I’d made a note on my phone to write a song about wolves, and the day of the session the producer, Bleu, texted me saying he’d had a song idea in a dream - and it was about wolves. I got chills! He ended up using the riff he remembered in his dream for the actual track." On the wildly creative new music video, she shares: "My concept for the video was initially inspired by this 1988 Polish film A Short Film About Killing, but the level of realism in those murders is hard to stomach, so I wanted to take that basic idea and put it into an otherworldly context. I got this flash of an image in my head of a surreal, heavily designed, metaphorical sci-fi world, along the lines of Holy Mountain or The Cell, and got together a team of absolute miracle workers to help bring that vision to life. I feel really lucky to have gotten to work with such talented people on the most ambitious project I’ve ever directed - I wouldn’t have been able to do it without the incredibly hard work of my cinematographer Sonja Tsypin, my production designer Eric William Palmer, my costume designer Phoenix Mellow, and everyone else involved. I actually nearly passed out on the day of the shoot because I was so stressed and dehydrated after an incredibly difficult month of prep. We were running way behind schedule and I was doing fight choreography for the first time in my life, all while tied up in ropes and directing myself without seeing playback and not drinking enough water, on a budget that was much too low for how big the project was, and there was a moment during the shoot when my brain just short-circuited. But I took a break and we finished the day! And you know what? Worth it."

Shygirl returned for a minute over the summer with the slowthai collaboration 'BDE,' which appeared on Shygirl BLU, the live realization of her ALIAS EP. Now, the UK vocalist is back again with a bumping new song called 'CLEO.' Opening with dramatic, cinematic strings, 'CLEO' clicks into gear with a nimble, clubby beat. All the while, Shygirl sings about a fantastical onscreen romance (“You got me feeling like a movie star/ All eyes on me… I could be your fantasy”). Listen to 'CLEO' below via director Trinity Ellis’ music video. [via Stereogum]

Kacy Hill collides anxiety and ease like few others. Her gorgeous third album, Simple, Sweet, and Smiling, radiates warmth. Produced largely with Jim-E Stack and John Carroll Kirby, it's a streaky LA sunset rendered as lush '80s pop, drawing on the magnetic ambiance of Kirby's music and the glitchy funk of Stack's to create something loose and unburdened. At the same time, Hill's lyrics are as dark as they've ever been: Touching on anxiety, tense relationships and a familial health crisis, it's Hill's most personal, heart-on-sleeve project yet. The title is drawn from Hill's desire for things to be just a little easier: "I would like to be your simple, sweet, and smiling..." 'Easy Going' perfectly encapsulates the tension between brightness and shade that defines Hill's art. Recalling the best of Carly Rae Jepsen's neon-lit synth fantasias, it's a bedroom-pop anthem that builds to one of Simple, Sweet, and Smiling's most indelible choruses: "I'm going through all the motions/ Oh, I gotta be/ They say the storm will stop rolling/ Hoping they're right." Like the title Simple, Sweet, and Smiling itself, it's a manifestation mantra par excellence — one that speaks to the many anxieties of life in 2021. At the same time, it might be one of the most calming pop moments of the year, showcasing the divine smoothness of Hill, Stack, and Ethan Gruska's production. "A lot of the record is written about my anxieties and desire to be a better partner," Hill explains. "I didn't want the music to make it feel melodramatic." Hill's beautiful music video for 'Easy Going,' a brightly colored tribute to '80s divas that was directed by Lauren Dunn and creative directed by Hill herself, can be seen above. [via PAPER]

Buzzy Scottish newcomer Brooke Combe has unveiled a brand new single, ‘Impress You’. Combe explains: “‘Impress You’ touches on the pressures women can feel to look or act a certain way for men. Hoping to impress them by becoming the ideal woman in their eyes which can be quite hard to obtain.” ‘Impress You’ follows up previous singles ‘A-Game’ and ‘Are You With Me?’, all of which were recorded by The Coral’s James Skelly & Chris Taylor at Liverpool’s legendary Parr Street Studios, and feature Blossoms’ Chaz Salt on bass and Aden Peets on drums. Charlotte Dos Santos returns with graceful new single 'Patience'. The singer was brought up just outside Oslo, with her house resonating to the sounds of vintage soul and jazz. These elements speed into her bedrock, resulting in some expressive songwriting, touched by a sense of the classic. New single 'Patience' exudes this, with its heavenly arrangement recalling some long lost 50s record, adorned by strings and swooping highs and lows. Digging deep, the lyrics deal with love and - appropriately - patience, before finding resolution amid an ancient Japanese story. Charlotte explains that it's “a song about love, and the most important yet hardest act, patience. It is a love story that took place in Japan, amongst the beautiful sakura blossoms, one full moon in April.” [via Clash]

New York City-based artist, Nisa, is sharing 'Cold,' the second single to be lifted from her new EP, Time To Plant Tears which is set for release on December 2. Early in 2021, the 22-year-old – full name Nisa Lumaj – began work on a new collection of songs that would make up the forthcoming EP, Time To Plant Tears. The title takes its name from the final stanza of an Elizabeth Bishop poem called Sestina. Working together with collaborator and producer, Ronnie Di Simone, the songs were recorded between Brooklyn's Studio G and the Brick Box studio. The new EP demonstrates Nisa's penchant for intimate storytelling cast against the backdrop of glistening, cinematic soundscapes reminiscent of Angel Olsen, Indigo De Souza, Japanese Breakfast and Soccer Mommy. In describing the mood of the EP, Nisa has said that the songs are centered around “confrontation and focus; weathering internal and external changes; desire, and emotional rebirth.” Intersecting cinematic and poetic frames of reference, it lands between what is said and what is felt. 'Cold,' which arguably marks the EP highlight and was written with frequent collaborator, Fritz Ortman, draws on 80s inspired guitar tones whilst further demonstrating Nisa's growing understanding of songwriting and melody. Speaking about the writing of the song, Nisa explains: "Fritz —my close friend and frequent collaborator—wrote 'Cold' with the Cars’ 'Just What I Needed' in mind. We demoed it a few different ways before deciding to fully lean into the 80s with the chorus, and brought it to Ronnie [di Simone], producer, who came up with the thunderous, Adrien Beluga-inspired solo." The accompanying video was shot in Stony Point, New York with the director, Ben Klein. Speaking about the visual for 'Cold', Nisa says: "For the 'Cold' music video, Ben and I wanted to see what would happen if we combined the "hell hath no fury" trope with our favorite elements of classic Halloween slasher movies."

LA-based dark pop duo Boy Deluxe announce their forthcoming EP, RISEN (due November 17), along with its first single and video, 'Im the Blood,' premiered via EARMILK. The track is described as "a song about embracing personal power," and on it, the group dive further into exploring their original sound. The single's music video was directed by Tim Thompson and written by Boy Deluxe's Hope and True Murra.

Snoh Aalegra's recent album Temporary Highs in the Violet Skies boasted two beats from Tyler, The Creator as well as a verse on the song 'NEON PEACH,' which gets a set of flashy visuals. The video almost feels like a glossy photo editorial starring Aalegra in a versatile set of outfits, from bucket hat-wearing slacker to futuristic tin foil librarian. Tyler, for his part, is dressed just like Tyler, but he's clearly having fun performing over his Neptunes-meets-Kaytranada beat. [via The FADER]

Potty Mouth are breaking up. They have announced that they were calling it quits after a decade together, though not before releasing one final EP, 1% Happier, next month. “Since starting in 2011 we’ve been so blessed to do as much as we have, you seriously have no idea how grateful we are for all the amazing shows and opportunities that brought us to you,” they wrote in a statement. “I can’t thank you all enough for supporting us these last 10 years, it’s been a wild fucking ride.” Potty Mouth formed in Western Massachusetts in 2011 while at Smith College, and released their debut album Hell Bent in 2013. A self-titled EP came out in 2015. That was followed by a move to Los Angeles and some negative experiences in the major label-adjacent trenches. They eventually signed with Get Better Records for the release of their 2019 sophomore album SNAFU. Last year, they contributed a cover to an Adam Schlesinger tribute album and this year they put out a new song, 'Let Go,' as part of another comp. Their final 1% Happier EP will be out on November 19 and it’ll include three new songs and a cover of Goo Goo Dolls’ 'Flat Top.' You can watch a video for one of those new songs, 'Contessa Barefoot,' above. [via Stereogum]

Audiovisual artist, vocalist and experimental producer DEBBY FRIDAY is back with a new single and video, 'FOCUS'. The track originally premiered on Adult Swim on their latest Digitalis compilation. Speaking about the meaning behind the song, FRIDAY said "I wrote this song in 2019, when I first started thinking about writing an album and the possibility of pursuing my creative passions as my career was making itself known to me. I kept debating with myself, 'do I want this? or do I not want this?'  It's a heavy question. The video also speaks to this. The whole process was like undergoing some sort of fire baptism. It was difficult and chaotic and supernatural. I felt like I was the mountain, cracking open and spilling forth." The video for 'FOCUS', filmed on 35mm, opens on the astonishing scene of a live avalanche - a torrent of snow flying across a frozen mountain range. The vision behind it was created by FRIDAY herself and director Ryan Ermacora.

Jeon Somi has unveiled the music video for new single ‘XOXO’, a cut from her first studio album of the same name. Out now, it follows the Canadian-Korean idol as she deals with heartbreak by embarking on a revenge mission on her ex-lover. She playfully wields a sledgehammer as she skips around a graffiti-covered car in an outdoor parking lot in some scenes, and completely trashes a hallway in others. “Hate you so much but I should let it go / Don’t wanna see you again, XO / Don’t say such things / The half I gave you is mine now,” she sings bitterly on the song’s refrain. [via NME]

Hiatus Kaiyote shares a new video for the single 'Canopic Jar,' a haunting, cyclical track exploring the descent into the darker corners of the mind. The video features the band as they take a spooky wild ride through a haunted house while performing the song. Nai Palm shares about the making of the 'Canopic Jar' visual, "Halloween is my happy place and seeing as we have a Halloween release for 'Canopic Jar', it was only right to take a spooky ghost train ride with the visuals. Our manager Si came up with the concept, and director Grey Ghost (auspicious name, yes…haha) brought it to life with the help of an amazing art department and crew. We all got to choose our alter egos. Anyone who stepped foot on set got roped into being a ghoul or spider monster, etc." Director Jeremy Koren (aka Grey Ghost) adds about the concept behind the video, "I liked the idea of creating something that felt more like comic book halloween than all out scary shit. I’ve always wanted to give a nod to all my favourites in one jam while giving a whole new spin on things, this one was a tip of the cap to Lynch, Burton, Hype Williams, Beastie Boys & The Mighty Boosh."

Following 'See You In Tears' with Illira and most recently the dance floor banger 'Touch', the multi-talented Amber Van Day is back with her new single 'Uh Oh' and presents the finest upbeat pop sounds. With 'Uh Oh,' Amber Van Day shows once again her talent for irresistible pop anthems with power, melody and edgy beats. Amber Van Day masters the seduction with a perfect mix of pop and dance, and above all else, her breathtaking voice. Her songs address empowerment, self-confidence, and self-love, but also tell of formative moments and encounters that are emulated by audiences around the world. The origin of 'Uh Oh' is an everyday experience: “Someone was late for our songwriting session. So producer Paul Whalley and I sat on the front door steps and waited. 'Uh Oh' was made in about half an hour, the song wrote itself. In the end we even kept all the original lead vocals and lyrics,” says Amber Van Day and adds, “'Uh Oh' is a conversation to my inner monologue. It's about the unpredictability of this tyrant who lives in my head, who can hijack my thought process at any moment and become the star of the show." The message of 'Uh Oh' is to fight against such negative thoughts, but to also recognize that they exist and can pull the mood and the day in one direction. But the song is also the energy booster to get through the upcoming fall season and feeling blue.

Dalmeny House by FotoFling Scotland Via Flickr: Dalmeny House is a Gothic revival mansion located in an estate close to Dalmeny on the Firth of Forth, to the north-west of Edinburgh, Scotland. It was designed by William Wilkins, and completed in 1817. Dalmeny House is the home of the Earl and Countess of Rosebery. The house was the first in Scotland to be built in the Tudor Revival style. It provided more comfortable accommodation than the former ancestral residence, Barnbougle Castle, which still stands close by. Dalmeny today remains a private house, although it is open to the public during the summer months. The house is protected as a category A listed building, while the grounds are included in the Inventory of Gardens and Designed Landscapes in Scotland [Wikipedia]
