Loved this interview with Justin! I've included just a few snippets relating to Walker: Independence and Walker, but he also talks about conventions, Ransom Canyon, and the mystery project he did with Larry Teng. Check it out!

I’m about half a season late, but here’s a look at some of my work from tonight’s episode of Walker: Independence. The logistics behind this scene were more significant than might appear. Take most of our wonderful actors, add a few dozen background artists, hand them all lit torches, and have them march down the not-so-affectionately nicknamed “ankle breaker hill” in the middle of a drought with no lights on a cold night. While I had the whole ridge line covered in R15s to up-light the fog and two condors in the air, we ended up turning them off during takes, instead relying on them as very fancy work lights for the cast and crew in between takes. The torches themselves produce consistent light for about 20 seconds before slowly fading to almost nothing, requiring a significant iris pull and some handheld lighting to make it to the end of a take. Each take was a ballet of special effects, props, our wonderful Steadicam operator Aiken Weiss, and our fantastic cast and background artists. And not a single ankle was harmed.

Where The Moose Led Us Mondate
It seems there are never enough rainy days to complete home chores so when today dawned as such I thought that all the contents I’d been sorting from a closet would finally make their way to new homes like the dump store or community clothing closet or back into containers to be stored for another rainy day. Apparently, I though wrong for the Cardinal beckoned and we answered the call to head…

Poetry Corner Department:
Or Poetry Department Corner. It all depends on the relative positions of the observers.
PLANCKTOWN © 2023 by Rick Hutchins
One night in bed, drifting between sleep and not, nurturing hypnagogic seeds of dreams, Willard managed to uncarefully sift down between the interstices of the Planck constant, somewhat like a nickel insinuating itself behind the cushions on the couch. He found himself in a wooded countryside where rampant wisteria bloomed in purple bunches and brooks gurgled over glacial rocks to feed a wide, rippling lake. The people in this curious corner of the polyhedriverse lived in a startling variety of crafted treehouses and commuted on their everyday errands in brightly colored hot-air balloons which were kept parked in fields and clearings where they were tended by balloon tenders. These friendly people took Willard to the oldest man who lived in the tallest tree, though quite near the bottom and was said to know most of the answers. He told Willard that sifting down between the interstices of the Planck constant was basically a one-way trip. Willard was upset about this for a minute, because he thought he ought to be, but, since he had left pretty much nothing behind, he got over it. The treehouse people let him work for food and lodging and, as he quickly demonstrated an aptitude for balloon tending, he was soon gainfully employed. Furthermore, at Saturday night campfire stories, he met a small brown woman with a big smile named Saralee who tended the local branch of the library and he was inspired to build a house in a big old fir tree by the lake. Saralee moved in with him and planted white and yellow honeysuckle in a window box. They purchased a hot-air balloon of their own that looked like marigolds and orange blossoms and they often floated over the lake on hummingbird and honeybee summer days. Throughout their long, happy lives, Willard held on to Saralee every night for fear of sifting further down between the interstices of the Planck constant and leaving everything behind.

Named Ginger Cats in Live Action Films A-M
I’m compiling a database of every ginger cat in the media. See the master post for all forms of media here.
N-Z appear in their own post because this post contained too many links for Tumblr. The cat from Breakfast at Tiffany's is on the named list because I have too many unnamed film cats already. Garfield is listed under comic strips. Azrael is listed under Animated Shows.
If I am missing any ginger cats, please comment so it can be added to the list.
Yes, some of these cats are in black and white films. But they're played by a cat named Orangey, so they're on the list.

Minor Characters in Brooke’s Series
-Kaitlin Borden: an 18 year old that babysits Brooke and her siblings during the events of Meet Brooke, she is attending Pierre’s School of Cosmetology. At the moment, she is recovering from two cracked ribs due to attending the infamously badly handled Woodstock ‘99 festival. -Ms. Carole Breault-the grandmother of Brooke’s friend Alicia, she works at Cyro as a boss. Even when she wants to watch ‘her stories’ (soap operas),she’ll let her grandkids and their friends play Super Nintendo instead. Has a bit of a dry sense of humor. -Mr. Bussiere: a 6th grade teacher at Willard. Brooke has a grudge against him due to him thinking that she was having a Tourette’s fit on purpose. -Mrs. Robin Donarumo-a neighbor of the Meyers, she has her own business making balloon arches for special events such as weddings. Seems to have a huge amount of patience, especially when it comes to her only child Kailee. -Mrs. Jones: Brooke and her brother Austin’s 4th grade teacher. She isn’t too amused when Brooke sings the song Mr. Jones by Counting Crows after introducing herself. Other than that,Brooke enjoys having her as a teacher. -Ms. Margaret Maurais: the 3rd grade teacher of Brooke’s brother Christopher,as well as Brooke and her siblings before her. She works at Margaret Chase Smith Elementary,a grades K-3 school. Many of her students speak highly of her. -Dr. Pierce: a doctor at Goodall Hospital, he sees Brooke’s brother Jake during the events of Happy Y2K,Brooke, when Brooke accidentally cracks three of Jake’s ribs while the two were using Socker Boppers. -Mr. Charles Potter: the principal at Willard School. He is mostly seen during the events of Brooke’s New School, when he tries to calm the girl down when she’s accused of acting up on purpose. -Mr. Christopher Ridge: Jake and his twin brother Stephen’s 5th grade teacher. Parents and students either love him or hate him. Brooke becomes one of Mr. Ridge’s students by the end of her fifth book. -Ned Shanahan: a new kid from Australia,he’s in Jake’s 5th grade class. Brooke seems enamored with what he has to say about his home country, such as the wildlife being largely dangerous and lethal,as well as how you can get ice pops at the school canteen (cafeteria) or a Sunny Boy to beat the infamous Australian heat. His favorite snacks from his home country are the Polly Waffle,Fairy Bread, strawberry & lemon Calippo Shots, and Vegemite Snackabouts.

Hamatreya BY RALPH WALDO EMERSON Bulkeley, Hunt, Willard, Hosmer, Meriam, Flint, Possessed the land which rendered to their toil Hay, corn, roots, hemp, flax, apples, wool, and wood. Each of these landlords walked amidst his farm, Saying, “’Tis mine, my children’s and my name’s. How sweet the west wind sounds in my own trees! How graceful climb those shadows on my hill! I fancy these pure waters and the flags Know me, as does my dog: we sympathize; And, I affirm, my actions smack of the soil.” Where are these men? Asleep beneath their grounds: And strangers, fond as they, their furrows plough. Earth laughs in flowers, to see her boastful boys Earth-proud, proud of the earth which is not theirs; Who steer the plough, but cannot steer their feet Clear of the grave. They added ridge to valley, brook to pond, And sighed for all that bounded their domain; “This suits me for a pasture; that’s my park; We must have clay, lime, gravel, granite-ledge, And misty lowland, where to go for peat. The land is well,—lies fairly to the south. ’Tis good, when you have crossed the sea and back, To find the sitfast acres where you left them.” Ah! the hot owner sees not Death, who adds Him to his land, a lump of mould the more. Hear what the Earth say:— EARTH-SONG “Mine and yours; Mine, not yours. Earth endures; Stars abide— Shine down in the old sea; Old are the shores; But where are old men? I who have seen much, Such have I never seen. “The lawyer’s deed Ran sure, In tail, To them and to their heirs Who shall succeed, Without fail, Forevermore. “Here is the land, Shaggy with wood, With its old valley, Mound and flood. But the heritors?— Fled like the flood's foam. The lawyer and the laws, And the kingdom, Clean swept herefrom. “They called me theirs, Who so controlled me; Yet every one Wished to stay, and is gone, How am I theirs, If they cannot hold me, But I hold them?” When I heard the Earth-song I was no longer brave; My avarice cooled Like lust in the chill of the grave.
