Idk what it is about tt that they can‘t get into a fandom without making everything weird & uncomfortable. Especially with the sexualisation. I wonder how long it will take for Taylor to drop Blake Lively from her squad, since she's getting so much backlash for the way she's promoting "it ends with us".

Or maybe Blake and Ryan's money and power and racism will keep them in Taylor's circle, despite the critisism.

I suppose time will tell-

Personally, I think that Swift will keep the friendship going because many people who support that nasty book, and Collen Hoover, also support Taylor Swift. There is a great deal of overlap between the three fandoms involved here Swift, Hoover, and Lively. That being said, I imagine it is more beneficial for her to publicly continue her friendship with Blake- so she will be labeled as a "stand-by-you" type of friend- at least it will be so within her own fandom bubble.

That narrative would also help her current image problem with people who think she is a flakey person- or a fair-weather friend.

Besides her image regulation, I imagine Swift will want to keep Lively as a friend for her deep pockets, connections to the elite of NYC, and her power in Hollywood. I think it's clear Swift has tried to break into acting a whole bunch of times- to very little avail- but clearly will still want to keep those business connections strong.

Thus- I don't really see Swift dropping Lively. Unless- of course, the media issues get worse.

But neither of them drew a line as racism- or at the very least being complicit in reenforcing white supremacist imagery in their work/ personal lives- so, ya know, birds of a feather flock together.

(I am watching this movie go up in flames with popcorn at the ready. I think Collen Hoover is a terrible writer. It is abhorrent to me that she was ever published at all. "It Ends with Us" sends a terrible message to young girls. The only reason this trash is getting a movie is because Blake Lively saw a cash-grab opportunity because the book is popular with bored middle-aged women or braindead tik-tokers. None of these people care about DV issues or protecting vulnerable women- it's all about "grab your florals and your gal pals for a cutesy rom-com about an abusive relationship." I'm so tired of all these morally corrupt people with deep pockets controlling what stories get told- and to who they are told. So, I am enjoying the fact that Lively is being caught out as a disingenuous person.)

I'm through with Leftists and through giving people the benefit of the doubt if they're not a teenager. If someone is 20+ and can't have a single solitary second of critical or reflective thought they have failed themselves and society. So much of their shit is so willfully ignorant, so easily fixable with a basic Google search or the reading of a few pages from a history book and they can't even do that. They cling to whatever some Tik Toker or tankie says like it's an indisputable scientific fact. Antisemitism is a huge factor but also people have gotten lazy as fuck. Just something that been bugging me

I was watching Tik Tok his guy was saying how according to D&D rules Mephistopheles now owns Astarion's soul at the compleation of the ritual. AND that is why it was BAD and it bothered me cause that is 100% not canon to the game. Like the guy quoted a D&D book said that devils usually did this.

But like Astarion read The Book of Necromancy and if you get him the second book he learns more about the ritual. When you question him he even states that the contract is fulfill with the 7007 payed souls.

By the logic of the Tik Toker: If we made the deal with Raphael for hammer in exchange for the Crown AND FULFILL the contract. Raphael owns our soul. Which he DOES NOT.

The guy seemed to take the D&D book as law of how the game (BG3) works.( If it really worked that way the Sunwalker ring would work on Astarion and not grant us more dark vision. )

I just hate how people are just spreading misinformation to people like its in game-Canon with D&D books. But completely missing the game actual dialog. and his audience is eating that shit up.

I can’t believe I’ve been here long enough to see the rise and potential fall of SJM. I feel like after hofas everyone is finally just done with her mediocre books and constant cash grabs. All of it comes across as so entitled and money hungry when she can’t even give us a book a year, makes us pay $20 to watch a prerecorded interview about nothing, and has treated her readers like shit. And honestly I know she doesn’t cater to fan service but not including even a very subtle reference to Elain in HOFAS to indicate she is next was such a choice on her part and it makes me mad at her because she knows this is what we’re all waiting for.

It’s obvious bloomsbury is trying to take her to the next level of stardom, but I predict this year or next they are going to find out their efforts were not sustainable and they’ve lost half the readership. I truly don’t think people are sticking around anymore and I think the SJM fervor all around is wearing off. The people who are still here are just waiting for Elain’s book and then are leaving… even the people who were huge SJM stans of all her series.

And PS… if the tik tok ban does truly occur, I’ll bet bloomsbury will really regret letting tik tokers do their marketing…

On Goodreads and Amazon, HOFAS ratings are pretty high. In 4+ category. On social media, the feedback and ratings are pretty abysmal. So it's hard to understand what people are actually feeling about the latest book.

If TikTOk does get banned, then it will be interesting if it will prompt BB and her to be more active or not.

BB is definitely treating her like a princess, but yeah, it's all about money and popularity, so if she isn't bringing in the expected dividends will they become drastically more strict with her and won't allow her year long disappearances? Will they push her to be more present? Will they actually hire a normal PR team that handles their socials?

I am super curious about how the future will go and what will happen overall.

I do think that a lot of current readers who are sticking around for Elriel or Gwynriel will fall off after the next book. I cant imagine sticking around after that.

Like i might become a casual reader and perhaps still read her future books but that will depend on what happens next. If she botches the next book, I have no interest in continuing to read her books.

I don’t want to say the Harkles didn’t participate on this book. But there can be a small possibility that they indeed didn’t participate? Many things he said is paraphrased from other books, tik-tokers, etc….

I know the Harkles love to leak letters and they definitely leaked it to Victoria Ward. But what if Omid didn’t know what the letter says and he only decided to accuse randomly to Chuck and Kate? He knows that Kate sells…. And he knows the palace won’t sue him. And Vicky Ward mentioned only one royal…..

I know this might sound wild, but I think they mostly learnt their lesson from the first go-around and all the lies that were uncovered.

That said, I think Omid had a lot of info he didn't use in Finding Freedom that he was able to squeeze into this book. Info that didn't fit their "biography" but fits with the narrative of an allegedly crumbling monarchy.
