OK listen...... this little combination of clips is why my personal headcannon for Shepard is that Zaeed is Shepards sperm-doner dad that she never met. Then, when Shepard recruited him, she figured out who Zaeed was, but Zaeed knew who she was when Cerberus recruited him. He wouldn't have even said yes, but.... that was his kid. He used cash as an excuse to go.

Zaeed knew he was her dad.

Shepard knew he was her dad.

Neither of them knew the other knew and tried to keep it to themselves, but they couldn't, and they both confided in Garrus and told him not to tell the other and it's madness in my brain.

And I feel like the party was where all the secrets come out and they started working together to protect Shepard. 😂

Anyway, that has been my personal headcannon for these guys for a long time.

"Shepard, sweetie, love of my life.."

I've been recently thinking about that woman soldier on the human embassy asking for help with her asari daughter.

There are SO many sad things about that whole situation, I mean:

• both her and her spouse are soldiers, meaning that child will probably be an orphan by the end of this war

• the woman had to abandon her family because they didn't approve her relationship with an asari (which hurts me deeply because it reminds me of parents disowning a child just because they're queer)

• that attendant probably has to deal with this kind of thing everyday, that takes a toll on one's faith that everything is going to be okay

But wait! There's a spark of hope here! The asari finds a way to take the child to her family on Thessia, away from all this war and with people that will take care of her! The Goddess smiles on them today.

Then Thessia falls.
