I'm of the belief that they didn't make Fizzarolli combat savvy because baby boy would be absolutely FERAL and raise more hell than the actual rings and no one would be able to cope.

Imagine being a technically? villain in mlp but they just couldn't stop courting you. Prince Solaris gifting your opposing kingdom gifts to "mend both of your relationship". Prince Artemis giving you the sweetest dreams because even you can't stop him from dreams. Or maybe you can, no one knows.
Prince Caden and (fem)Shinning Armour agreeing with each other to pursue you. After all, two is better than one! You could easily just ruin things in the crystal empire and all they do is shake their heads and softly bringing you away to possibly lock you up as time out.
Dusk Shine and Butterscotch would be so scared to even try without a bit of help. Dusk Shine could definitely willingly try and hand you anonymous gifts. Butterscotch's animals would be scared at first but if you are ever so soft to animals, they wouldn't be after seeing you around them. Doesn't matter if you avoid them, they know you can be soft. They had to drag Butterscotch to talk to you. Bonus points if you can tower over him.
Bubble Berry is very (genuinely) happy around you. You could dumped a whole cake on top of him and he'll just eat it off thinking you want to party with cake. Just imagine the chrysalis and fluffy videos. That's you two.
Applejack is... Trying his greatest with the help of his family that is. The cutie mark crusaders are on the case! He's down bad like his dad with his mum. Like father like son I suppose. Bunny shaped apples and apple desserts all the way.
Elusive is a handful but definitely not shy. Sweetie belle is really struggling with rooting for her brother or for Applejack because of last statement. Elusive gifts you the flashiest things, even ones that doesn't really cover themselves in diamonds. I'm sure you can tolerate his efforts. Ego? 50/50.
Rainbow Blitz, I'll admit is not the best partner candidate. But he's the element of loyalty for a reason. He gets points because of his loyalty to you. He's the athlete boyfriend that wants to show off every second to just impress you. He the one that says "This is for you!" while pointing at you at his every game.
This turns more into a boyfriend thing so let's be mean.
You burn every gifts sent to you, and even slam the door on everyone if they appear in front of your place. You yell at Butterscotch and his animals when they get so overwhelming. You push them harshly that they fall when they get so close. You purposely sabotage them or make them trip like at Rainbow Blitz's.
You can do so much, what's stopping you?
But they're delusional enough to think you have a good soul deep down your dark heart. I mean just look at Stellar Gleam! (Don't feed their fantasies or do, I don't care.)

Crush
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
Content; gender neutral, no pronouns, swearing, mentions of relationship insecurity, some suggestive themes, mentions of Polyam (fizz/Ozzie/reader)
Feat; Fizzarolli, Loona, Blitz, Stolas
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
You got them acting up. When they're down bad,
Fizzarolli will constantly be touchy. Somehow, someway, he just needs to be in contact with you. Loves showing off- which means he'll do tricks, sing, and show off his flexibility (fuckin' slut). He'll brag about how cool you are, how fantastic, how amazing- to literally everyone. If he's in his relationship with Ozzie, the two of them talk about how they would integrate you into the relationship. Since Fizz actually knows how to communicate (unlike someone we know), he's very good with knowing about boundaries, needs, and expectations. Will constantly cozy up to you and will flirt shamelessly. He's just such a cutie
Loona can't hide it. She's so obviously enamored by you. Her intimidating facade shatters, leaving her an awkward, smiley, goofy love struck pup. Her tail will wag, she stands up a bit straighter, avoids eye contact, but listens so intently. Tries to crack jokes, but just ends up telling on herself. For reference, please see: "That's hot-" "Ha, I wish I had friends-". Can and will fight people for your attention. If you're in a conversation with Moxxie, oh wow, suddenly she has a reason to drop kick him into the next ring of hell. Blitz obviously knows if Loona has a crush on someone, so expect some glares, "playful" death threats, and lots of questions/comments about how you'd treat her, etc. He warms up.. Eventually. Either way, Loona doesn't care. All she wants is to be with you.
Blitz avoids it. He thinks love is stupid, that no one could ever possibly love him, and that he doesn't deserve a relationship. Depending on how close you are, he'll either: isolate, pretend he doesn't feel anything and attempt to act normal, or flirt. Tbh, I think if he's very close to someone, he'll isolate, because he doesn't know how to deal with his emotions. No matter how he handles it, everyone notices this change in his behavior, especially Loona. Like her dad, she'll be very protective and pretty harsh. Once she's sure you have good intentions, she'll be more accepting. Still pokes fun at you though. It'll take a lot of patience, determination, and a lot of forcing Blitz to communicate- but eventually, hopefully, he'll allow himself to be happy with you.
Stolas, somehow, becomes even more of a slut. We've seen how he acts with Blitz. Of course he's going to flirt and make passes. (However, if you're on the ace spectrum or are uncomfortable with it, he'll absolutely respect your boundaries). He's also one to spoil those he's interested in, whether it be thoughtful gifts, bouquets, you name it. He wants so badly to have and express his love and passion. Initially, there will likely be communication issues. It's entirely possible that he has relationship insecurity and will be a bit clingy, but will always try to give you the space you need. He just wants love. He just wants you.

I know I've mentioned it in another post or two, but while Fizz is certainly suffering in the new episode, Ozzie is too from seeing his love super stressed, overworking himself and essentially spending his time on something he knows Fizz doesn't really need to do because he's talented enough that he doesn't have to prove it; saddling himself up with Mammon for another year and putting himself in an uncomfortable position in dealing with more creeps/generating more creeps by doing this is also pretty terrible too. :(
I have little doubt that they've had this discussion before about why Fizz is doing the pageant, with Fizz probably getting more freaked out about it every year, but this time being different because he hasn't seen the competition this year thanks to being kidnapped, so he doesn't know what he's walking into. The fact he got kidnapped going to the contest rehearsal is probably also a contributing factor as to why Ozzie is being really vocal about the pageant this year too because if Fizz hadn't gone to it, then that whole traumatizing scenario would have been avoided. :/ (I know that means the reconciling with Blitz wouldn't have happened for Fizz, but that's a separate point all together :/). It is an important note that Ozzie wants to get to the bottom of why Fizz is competing and keeps at it later because even though he's not a fan of it, him at least understanding his reasoning then means he can hear both sides of the discussion he's trying to have with Fizz and possibly adjust/help versus straight saying he's right.
In the end though, there's nothing Ozzie can really do except voice his opinions and try to convince Fizz not to do the pageant because if he forces/orders Fizz not to do it, he's taking Fizz's choice out of the matter, which is bad on a consent and relationship level, but him to also seeing Fizz somehow be more unhappy/worried about not doing the contest obviously breaks his heart. ;_;
Small wonder Ozzie reached out to Blitz because it does hurt when someone you care about won't listen to you, especially when you know they're in a bad position and need to get out of it. ;_;

Hey it’s been a bit! The Mammon episode finally came out, so here’s my review!
Pros:
- The sign language scene was cute. Kinda weird that a kid was seeing a show that was clearly for adults but I love me some representation so it gets a pass.
- Despite Blitz not really needing to be in this episode, I thank god he had little screen time and more time was dedicated to Fizz.
- The fish ladies (despite having wonky color palettes that made them EXTREMELY hard to look at) were cute.
Cons:
- Mammon is so flat and uninteresting but I don’t know what I expected from a creator who always hypes her characters up that always end up being one of the three go-to personalities she picks for her male characters. In Mammon’s case he’s just a loud mouth cursing bum so way to ruin another Deadly Sin and make them boring af, moving on.
- I don’t like how Mammon and Fizz’s relationship are similar of Val and Angel’s, Viv keeps recycling stories, characters and plot lines ect, it makes Angel’s story for Hazbin really predictable/underwhelming and not exciting to look forward too especially since we already have the “mafia bad daddy” aspect to him too that they pulled for Moxxie. I guess the idea of Mammon being a controlling ruler is fine on paper but not much is done with it, Fizz just quits in the end like it was easy with zero consequences so what was all that build up for.
- Fizz himself once again feels REALLY out of character, he’s just too soft compared to how he was introduced in season 1. He’s constantly nervous in this episode and insecure, as well as walking on eggshells, and even in Oops he wasn’t THIS sensitive. I’m all for characters struggling and being kicked down but it has to make sense and not feel forced, and once again it feels like Viv is trying way to hard to make the characters she once introduced as snarky assholes to uwu innocent babies. I refuse to believe Fizz was actually INTIMIDATED by this random geeky imp who insulted him, as well as the fish ladies whom he was weirdly nice and welcoming to. It’s also weird seeing how uncomfortable/nervous he was around his fans when I thought the whole point was that he LOVED praise and loved being famous, at least that was season 1 Fizz. Now he feels retconned. Seeing him say “I just need this gig” is weird too, the explanation to why he went through all of this makes no sense, Fizz still has Ozzie and is famous in the Lust ring, and I understand Mammon is his idle but to go through all that abuse for so long for something that could have been so easily avoided feels forced to fit the plot, but it also makes Fizz look dumb.
- There’s confusing lore stuff regarding Mammon and Ozzie, and it makes me realize that Viv should have picked ONE storyline aka ONE Seven Deadly sin to go with Fizz’s story because this is getting mixed up. Fizz acts like if he looses this completion, he looses everything, which confused the heck out of me because no he wouldn’t have? First of all, Ozzie is a fucking powerful sin, how would you loose him? Second, from what we know from season 1, Fizz is a jester who performs at Ozzie’s club. It was Ozzie who built the sex robots across the rings of hell, NOT Mammon, and in season 2 we see that Fizz is under Ozzie’s care and lives in his house. Yet for some weird reason Mammon also represents Fizz and uses him for profit, but it’s not really explained in a way that makes sense, like Love’s art had said in her Fizz redesign video, Fizz’s job is really confusing on what exactly he does. Having both Ozzie and Mammon represent him overcomplicates things and the show did a poor job at explaining how this goes.
- Once again Viv dumps trauma and struggle onto her characters without building it up first. When did Fizz ever give off the impression that he was being controlled or abused, or even that he was so insecure and constantly walked on eggshells to be perfect. In Oops he was happy to be in the spotlight and happy to get the attention, he bragged to Blitz about how successful he was. He seemed happy to perform for Mammon and talked of him highly, and now you’re pulling an Angel Dust situation where he’s expected to be perfect 24/7 and it gets to him emotionally, while also being someone who’s physically and mentally abused. Yet another season 2 episode that wasn’t planned, same as how Millie wanting to feel important wasn’t planned, same as how Stolas seeing Blitz as genuine love wasn’t planned. Different episode, same issues.
- I’m so done with the Hell lore bro, this place officially has no rules and demons can just do anything without consequences. There’s no class system, there’s no rankings, there’s no power dynamics, screw anything that Viv says. There was no fucking reason why Ozzie and Fizz’s relationship needed to be a secret. There was no reason showing Ozzie threatening his workers to not tell anyone about his love life if he was just going to admit it to EVERYONE THE NEXT EPISODE IN FRONT OF ANOTHER SIN ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME— what was the POINT. What is the point of Stolas and Blitz’s conflict. What is the point of Stella being classist. What is the point of these class systems and rules if you can just announce that you technically broke a hell rule and no one gives a fuck and you get off scott free. Mammon telling Ozzie “you’ll regret that” like a cartoon villain doesn’t do anything either. What is he ganna do? Tell Lucifer, the character that canonically won’t appear in HB because the sins won’t appear in HH? If Lucifer rules over the sinners, who the fuck is in charge for the rest of Hell. Where’s the authority? And Mammon is just ganna come back for another episode to give the gang trouble cause lord knows we don’t have enough fucking villains already.
- It feels weird that Ozzie would just sit back while someone whom he knows is a piece of shit is treating his loved one badly. I get he was concerned but you’d think one of the seven deadly sins would have more power and authority.
- I was expecting some big gross bug-like thing to appear when Mammon was transforming into his final form, only for it to the exact same design but with small extra eyes and a spider lower half that isn’t even visible in most shots….GOD VIV.
Watching this episode also made me remind myself that this is supposed to be Hell. Seeing Fizz feel better and stand up for himself was sweet but these soft lessons and morals don’t belong in a show like this, and it’s extra aggravating regarding Viv’s double standard, how she can just pick and choose which characters she wants to be evil and which characters are saints. Overall not anywhere near the worst episode of season 2, but I am officially done with Helluva Boss so-

Divergent au
Yeah..so I made a new au so here we go-
Part 2!
this one I don't think I'll make a fic out of, mainly because I'm already trying to get back to my shadowpeach one (I have NOT forgotten, uni is just a bitch and for some reason I'm procrastinating too much which is scaring me but I can't stop it it's awful-)
So, this was something @/angstychilz and I discussed one day in our megop server and it was basically "what if Megatron and a few other decepticons got captured by the Quintessons while they were on the surface?"
And of course I'm in a chokehold so now you're forced to deal with this horrifying au I twisted with my knowledge of sci-fi / doctor horror.
**TW!! I might get a bit graphic with some details so please tread carefully! I don't want to scare any of you with what I have for this au, it is disturbing in some areas**
So, to start, I've considered that for now, Megatron, Soundwave, and Blitzwing would all be taken by the quintessons to be experimented on, mainly to help the quintessons understand their anatomy and to use it to their advantage in order to help conquer Cybertron (suggestions for other bots to be taken and experimented on is welcome!)
Of course, it is considered that they are different species, and in a way I believe that the quints would see cybtronian's as lesser beings (especially seeing how they managed to persuade sentinel easily with the idea of having more power in return for killing the primes and providing them with energon). This would play a big part during their experimentations, especially with Megatron because he carries a Prime's cog, that too Megatronus's, who was definitely one of their biggest enemies.
Megs and the others are kept with other mechs, some dead some alive, and they all go through terrible transformations (I'm still deciding how to ruin blitz, especially with his split personality).
I'll just summarize how Soundwave's transformation becomes bc it's really easy- he just goes from tfone sound to tfp sound (angsty's idea), since he has moveable cables similar to the quint's tentacles. He is still in control of his body and mind, and even holds conversations with Megatron to give him some sense of normality between them, but will black out whenever the quints need him to go scout on cybertron to avoid autobot patrols and seek out new victims.
Megatron's treatment I have more detail on (and why wouldn't I, he's my comfort character I need to detail his agony-). There is no anesthesia, Megatron is staying awake as they tear through his chassis and tear out the cog, forcing him to go back to his cogless form. I will also add that before he was taken, he also lost his right arm in the fight before capture, so he's dealing with two types of pain.
Through that the quints learn that mech body's can shift, so while Megs is sent to recover with the other bots they grab some poor mech and experiment with their cog, and they take their time just experimenting on how to make a cog of their own. This also includes them doing several types of dissections on a lot of mechs, pulling and twisting wires, tearing apart limbs and then forcing them to reconnect after forcing the mechs to transform. Keep in mind none of them are under anesthesia, so it's like an old victorian surgery, you're awake and watching a bunch of aliens piercing through you, dismembering you and forcing you to stay still as they go through your systems and organ parts, and even through your spark (guess how you think they learned that was what kept them alive).
Through all that, once they get some form of a twisted, functional cog that mimics an original one, they immediately do everything they did to those mechs to megatron.
By then, he's no longer filled with rage, but fear. Indescribable fear of whether or not he'd survive this. He was a miner once, and while he had his moments he was always assured by Orion he'd be fine and he'd be safe. Orion's not here anymore, and most of the time Sound isn't either, so he's stuck spiraling in fear.
Obviously he's more resistant against them, but he can't fight them anymore. At the same, his helm is forced open, leaving his core processor open for them to dig in and used what memories he has to twist him into a more submissive mech, especially his momentary regret that he got when he shot Orion, and later after dropping him to die. He's forced to endure several procedures, most that left him bleeding out or vomiting blood to the point of exhaustion, and waking up in a tank only to be pulled and put through it again. And again. And again. And again.
Until- they get it right. Now, he looks like a normal mech, similar frame and shape, but with changes. His frame color no longer is a silver/grey hue, it's green with how often he's kept in the dirty cells or in the tanks. His arm got replaced, but with a quintesson-like arm. His voicebox is damaged from the constant tests, so he speaks very little before his voice gets glitchy and incomprehensible.
His body, while accepts the cog and gives him a new alt (flier), will still reject it after a long period of time (consider it between every 8-10 orbital cycles/months), which causes internal bleeding and erratic movement from his body, often times leaving him disfigured and in agony when it occurs. This can range from his body trying to transform mid-form into his alt, to whole on twisting his limbs, or both.
I'll open my inbox for you guys again for this au, I'll do a part 2 for orion's part. But yeah, here's my twisted horror au that I keep a latch on. hahaha-
Bonus art!

Oops: Rushing to Catharsis, Dodging Accountability
There is much to be said about the latest episode of Helluva Boss, and it is a bit of a tragedy that the animatic release felt like a more complete version of the episode than the actual finished product. From losing out on the visual intensity of Fizzarolli's injuries to the complete erasure of Barbie in the background of the disaster, it feels like these small changes removed the visceral intensity of the scene and its repercussions. Especially as Barbie is now the obvious point of conflict in Blitz's storyline, it feels like the impact of that part of the story is now devalued by her absence.
But that is hardly the end of the issues at play.
Medrano and her team rushed this story arc.
There are clear parallels to Bojack's two major story beats of Bojack abandoning Herb and the Sugarman Summer Home season arc. It is obvious that Blitz and Fizzarolli have a relationship paralleling that of Herb and Bojack in season one. However, Medrano pulls back in a multitude of ways and fails to commit the plot to a natural conclusion. While Herb rejects Bojack due to the fact that the latter never came to check up on him following his public disgrace and outing, Blitz is absolved of even that.
In the Bojack episode, Herb makes it clear that he doesn't blame his old friend for not standing with him when he was removed from Horsing Around. While he may have been upset at one time, he had cooled off and recognized that if the studio had let them both go, that would have been terrible for both of them.
Rather, it was Bojack assuming Herb's desires and thus avoiding his best friend for years under the belief that he had betrayed Herb so completely that the other wouldn't want to see him anyway. Bojack's insecurity was his own undoing in that relationship, even though it showed that both Herb and Bojack were still very compatible friends. Bojack's background of conditional relationships from his own parents set the groundwork for his hyperavoidant personality and how allowing generational trauma to dictate your relationships in life is a good way to lose everyone you ever hope to keep.
Here, Blitz didn't abandon Fizzarolli. Skipping to the end, Blitz was kept from seeing Fizz in the hospital by a currently unknown third party. Which removes his flaws on a fundamental level. While one could argue ripping off the storyline wholesale would have been just as bad, at least it wouldn't feel like a fanfiction retelling of that Bojack episode. It feels like Medrano had a very negative opinion of Herb and how he rejected Bojack and that this reiteration with her own characters is her way of "fixing" that relationship. At the same time, what Blitz ended up doing is far and above worse than Bojack simply not risking his career.
The episode takes the sequence as dark as they'd dare, Fizzarolli crawling out of the explosion as his body burns and disintegrates. The show really does want to bank itself on the emotional impact this sequence should have, picturing how afraid Fizz must be. The amount of pain he would be in as his mangled body turns to ash as he forces himself from the fire. His flesh melted, his horns seared red and glowing like it would if they were made of real keratin, his bones themselves falling apart as he forced his body to escape the disaster. And he calls out to the one person he held such admiration for, his best friend since they were kids, who turns his back on him and runs.
And somehow, that is not the reason the relationship has become so bitter and vile. Not because Fizzarolli, most likely believing he was going to die, watched his best friend run away and "save himself" (from Fizz's perspective), leaving him to die alone in this calamity. It's because Blitz never came to talk to him. And even then, it wasn't Blitz's fault.
While that reveal worked for Bojack and Herb, it doesn't actually work for when a character almost actually loses their life. The figurative end of the world that comes with losing a job you love and a creative passion project stolen and bastardized can not begin to amount to the physical act of dying. That is actually the entire point of Herb's story as well, why Bojack's initial betrayal is forgivable, but his avoidance was not. It's because what felt like the end of life in the moment didn't actually end anything substantial for Herb. He still lived a full and complete life, minus his best friend who left him to rebuild on his own. And you can not, in fact, make up for lost time.
Speaking of comparisons, the dialogue of this sequence in particular feels quite off-putting. Blitz's line of "You have e no idea what I lost in that fire" is accusatory and draws up a direct comparison to what each character lost. Fizzarolli is physically scarred by the events as well as mentally and emotionally. Horns are shown to be a source of social pride for imps, adding self-esteem and identity to the list of things Fizz lost in the disaster. But because it is implied that Blitz's mother actually did die in the fire, that is a tragedy somehow beyond belief for someone like Fizzarolli. It would be safe to assume that Tilla's death would have been felt by everyone who survived the circus, or at the least for the kids. The dialogue sets up a divide that somehow Blitz watching how his careless moodiness almost killed his crush is not at the top of the list of traumas Blitz has to sort through from this sequence is hard to believe.
Speaking of crush.
And that gets to why this episode as a whole fails to work on a fundamental level. For what it is, what it wants to be, and what it is trying to set up, this episode consistently drops the ball. It is confounding to think that Medrano believed that the relationship for Stolas and Blitz was for more necessary to show than this.
This episode should have been a flashback.
The entire episode should have been the lead up to the disaster. Show us the relationship of Blitz and Barbie and Fizzarolli. Show us the way Blitz is treated by others at the circus even as he ages.
Show us Tilla for five minutes for the love of everything meaningful. It's so hard to believe this should be important to the characters or story when we are given nothing concrete about who Tilla was as a person or mother. We lived the flashbacks of Bojack, no matter how short a snippet they were. We experienced Beatrice's callous nature or his father's self-centered abuse. For as important as she is implied to be, Tilla is not so important as to be an active participant in the story.
At the end of all this, I believe that the greatest issues boil down to a set list
- Characters do not have any lasting responsibility to the situation, their actions or the outcome.
- Somehow a character like Tilla who has never been seen and lacks any personality outside of early Steven Universe Rose Quartz perfection is a loss that is elevated over the trauma we are allowed to very distantly experience in Fizzarolli's monologue.
- The fact that we still have no idea about who any of these characters were to appreciate the sense of loss that this episode was supposed to supply.
- Fizzarolli and Blitz make up completely by the end of a single episode.
- The lack of buildup to the disaster causes confusion as to why it ever happens. Blitz throwing the confession letter on the ground and walking away has no rhyme or reason to it.
This episode is a literal laundry list of bad choices and poor structuring. When a school teacher writes in the margin, "Show, don't tell," this is what they are talking about.

once again begging HB fandom to please, please rewatch season 1, especially murder family & loo loo land
I saw a post claiming that Stolas made the full moon deal for Blitz's benefit, because asking for compensation with the only thing Blitz has shown interest in (sex) was apparently nicer on Stolas' part than just like... asking Blitz to rent the book from him with money or something
and I'm just like what??? this kind of take can only come from a headcanon because there's nothing in the show to support it apart from Stolas' own self-delusion (which doesn't excuse him given all the evidence to the contrary he should have noticed).
After their one night stand Blitz never shows an interest in having sex with Stolas. At the point they were at in murder family Stolas had no reason to assume Blitz still wanted sex from him, there isn't much more Blitz could have done to make it clear he wasn't interested!
Blitz ghosts him after their one night stand (by Stolas' admission on the phone call in full moon, it's 'never a good time', suggesting Blitz dodges Stolas' calls constantly and Stolas never gets a hint), tries multiple times to get him off the phone/get to the point in murder family & spends basically all his lines with Stolas in Loo Loo Land shutting it down whenever Stolas tries to flirt/make a move on him (one of which results in Stolas interrupting him mid-protest to condescend to him by saying he's 'cute when he's serious', ignoring totally the thing Blitz just told him not to do)
even later in the series when Blitz is supposedly developing feelings for Stolas and (according to stol/tz logic, not mine) enjoying being forced to sleep with Stolas he still sends him text replies of one or two word answers. it doesn't help that this interest Blitz supposedly shows is never onscreen. Even the two scenes that are the best 'evidence' of why Stolas would get mixed signals are still a reach - Blitz doesn't exactly seem super enthusiastic about sleeping with Stolas in The Circus and he's disinterested and annoyed by Stolas the whole time during their "date" (Stolas' phrase, not Blitz's) in Ozzies. when it comes to being expected to sleep with Stolas at the end of the latter episode he turns it down flat and Stolas' texts show he still doesn't get what the problem is.
Stolas' level of self delusion is his own problem. Not Blitz's. If he couldn't notice that Blitz isn't smiling in a single photo on his own then there's no reason to make Blitz responsible for not screaming in Stolas' ear to get through to him because it clearly wouldn't have worked. Stolas did not want to hear it. Going by what I suspect their convo in full moon will be like, he still doesn't and probably won't take in any criticisms Blitz is allowed to make (and goodness knows the show loves to make characters criticize Stolas in the flimsiest way possible so he can easily talk around them or rebut them)
Also saw the take repeated yet again (as many others have) that Blitz "never once explicitly tells Stolas no".
Besides the fact it's blatantly wrong & just a rewrite of what actually happened in the show - he says no in Ozzie's, he repeatedly tells Stolas to knock it off and voices his discomfort several times in Loo Loo Land - it's frankly disturbing to see this repeated so often.
Like part of the entire problem is that Stolas has put Blitz in a situation where he cannot say no. That is why this is sexual extortion: Blitz needs the book to keep his business running so Stolas has forced him into treating him with kid gloves to avoid making him angry and bankrupting his company (and putting his employees and daughter out onto the street if he can't pay them) as a result.
Even if Blitz was far less vocal about telling Stolas off when he annoys him, that wouldn't make the full moon deal or Stolas' rationalization of it OK. The fact that he does say no multiple times and indicates how he doesn't want Stolas coming onto him outside of their deal (again, the panic button for Stolas in his office & the way he has to go out of his way to clarify to Stolas that he had better not try and come onto him in the theme park - only to be interrupted and demeaned - suggests Stolas' understanding of boundaries is poor and that Blitz does not nor should not feel safe around him) should indicate well enough that Blitz is not interest in sex with Stolas and would have cut him out of his life in early s1 if he'd had the choice. But he didn't and it's disturbing to see the fandom apply revisionist history to suggest that isn't the case.
And what's worse is it's obvious Vivzie agrees with them, or wants to make it seem like she does because she can't be bothered to write actual character development for Stolas to make him a love interest that wouldn't be a total horror show for Blitz to be with. Instead Stolas achieving the bare minimum of saying Blitz's name right (and being nice to him on the phone offscreen) is enough, apparently
I remember you or someone else made a compilation of Blitz saying no or pushing back on Stolas as a video. It feels like we're at a 'don't make me tap the sign' type of point where that series of clips should just be the reply to anyone still pushing this claim.
That was indeed me, and here it is. Also, thank you for this ask, because every word is 100% correct.

Rapid-Spoiler-Season-Speculation: Apology Tour/Ghostf*ckers
Caution: some references are made to other spoilers, so proceed with caution if you wish to avoid.
Apology Tour:
Alright, I'll admit, this episode I think I understand the least, so I'm sure I'm completely off the mark in even attempting to make sense of it.
Cake will be served, and it's clown Blitz version. Heart on an item in the back, heart on the knife. How many years has it been and she's still obsessed?
WHATEVER this is, Blitz didn't just stumble into it, I wonder if some type of invitation got him there.
Blood/red stained sheet for unknown reasons.
I think I'm the only one who preferred the earlier design, but guess I just have a type.
WHAT. DA. FUCK.
Yeah, of course, this is when my imagination starts churning.
Did Stolas reach just the perfect amount of drunk before his Spotify breakup playlist reached Olivia Rodrigo, causing him to throw on last year's Halloween costume and portal himself to his ex so he could express himself properly?
No, Stolas had an entire stage prop production prepared. That or we haven't seen the full extent of his magic conjuring abilities.
(same outfit, I'm keeping my eye on the spiked collar 'cause it's new to his wardrobe)
I don't know what could bring this on. At first, I thought it was a dream sequence, but the spiked collar turns up in a later scene. Maybe I just haven't accepted that my fav character could be an asshole?
Screenshots of Blitz, sheet is now a hoodie, we really don't know what he's looking at in this particular scene.
I don't think this is a full scale concert, though. Probably more of a private event. Maybe Verosika was planning a gathering of the 'We Hate Blitzo' fanclub, but Stolas was the only one to RSVP.
If it is, a public concert, I mean, I can just imagine the headlines:
Prince Stolas shocks audience members by appearing as the opening act in Verosika Mayday's concert, preforming his original ballad, 'Imp Dicks Aren't Worth the Heartbreak'.
And if it is a regular event, there's the possibly Blitz attended on purpose..to apologize about things? (hence the title) I don't know, it just all seems too weird.
As poster bleucaesura noted, Stolas is on his couch in this scene. The red stained sheet, presumably with Blitz under, stand before him. Stolas's collar is spiked, so this seems to happen after the musical number.
This is mainly all the info we have this episode, but looking ahead to future ones, I'm thinking this is gonna conclude the majority of the Stolitz angst. Or at least the current ones.
As many have noted, this season has been following a pattern of focusing on, and occasionally resolving Blitz's relationship problems. Unhappy Campers introduced Barbie properly, adding more details to the fire incident. Oops and Mammon's Magnificent Musical Mid-Season Special added to that by focusing on him and Fizz. Full Moon and Apology Tour seem to be based around Stolas and then both Stolas and Verosika, fitting since it's comparing people from his love life.
Hence, I believe the next episode will instead prioritize Blitz's relationship with M&M:
Ghostfuckers:
The IMP mobile is totaled and appears spray painted. Therefore, guessing this scene must take place first:
But what would cause "a life on the run", as Blitz puts it, unless he wasn't completely serious?
And I'm not sure if the hooded folks, "Come out, we've got your surrounded." scene was edited in before this or not.
There are those clouds in the background and it seems to call for a more scary scene, or at least until he checks his watch.
(actually those could all take place in previous episode or the ones to come, for all we know!)
Blitz wears a bad disguise rather than using an asmodean crystal. We could read too much into that because maybe Blitz just LIKES coming up with disguises, but in other spoilers, we see Blitz using a book for portals.
The enemy is doing bad things to the character's mental health, bringing about their worse fears. In reference to Blitz, I wonder if this is this is where those scenes come into play:
Interesting how it's edited like Blitz watching a filmstrip of his life, complete with a decorative frame.
Shown in a different style, I wonder if this flashback will also be used:
And, (if my earlier theory is wrong), this has to appear somewhere:
We see a flashback to a younger, longer hair Millie (not unlike her wedding photo):
(and it looks like outside a ship? Hey, maybe pirates really did have port windows!)
Which may be used to match up with this fight:
This, however, is hopefully, just another hallucination:
Okay, for the rest of this episode, one can't really speculate because the (looks both ways cautiously) storyboards leaked last year reveal a good chuck of the action and dialogue. So without getting TOO into that, for those who want to avoid getting too spoiled, I'll conclude this episode may turn out to be a fun, scary, but with admittedly triggering subjects, that showcase Blitzø's messy and occasionally obsessive relationship with Moxxie and Millie.
...and possibly new issues with Loona? Something is hinted out, but I might get into THAT speculation in the last two episodes.

Yes, Stolas did spring this on Blitz and he absolutely should have let Blitz process it, Stolas certainly created a scenario with a self fulfilling prophecy by scripting a conversation and being so sure Blitz didn't return his feelings that almost anything Blitz said would have gotten under Stolas' skin and been a sign of failure, probably
I do still want to challenge the idea that Blitz would be 100% blindsided by this confession and it's coming out of nowhere
Yes, as the audience we know much more about how deep Stolas' feelings are, we see it clearly and plainly on the screen, but it's not like Blitz has had 0 hints
One of the most telling scenes in the show was when Blitz was ranting to Fizz about how Stolas sees him as an exciting sexual conquest, but in the midst he lists off a ton of non-sexual, sweet things Stolas does like try to ask him about his day and whatnot.
We also know from the encounter with Striker that Blitz honestly kind of thought Stolas was invincible, he wasn't worried about him getting hurt and neither was Stolas at first- so why, then, in episode two did Stolas insist he needed a bodyguard and why did Blitz eventually go along with it? Why waste an entire day of work just to go to a carnival with some pompous asshole? To my memory they didn't even bang or anything like that. Obviously Stolas used some sexual language but ultimately he just wanted to spend time around Blitz, maybe show his daughter that Blitz was protective and capable or something, idk, and what could Blitz possibly conclude from this other than Stolas at the very least just wants to be around him a bit more?
These are only two examples from the top of my head, not even mentioning Stolas' excitement over the romantic context of the invite to Ozzie's and how he acted afterwards, and there are probably a few others I'm not remembering right now.
Obviously, none of this means that Blitz should have expected a sudden love confession or been prepared for it, but even in the start of the episode we see Blitz acknowledge he's not really sure where they're at, things are at risk of getting complicated and he's trying to avoid that, he wants it to stay purely sexual where he's comfortable but something has given him reason to suspect it's not, because his entire half of the song is him declaring he's worried about Stolas trying to change their arrangement so he's gotta focus on the sex.
Again- Stolas should have given him a minute. But this did not come out of nowhere on his side of things and acting like Blitz has 0 clue that Stolas has deeper feelings for him is ignoring, like, large chunks of previous episodes and even parts of this episode that have established otherwise.

I 100% think Alastor's behavior is a trauma response tbh. It feels like something happened that inhibited his ability to be fully open with other people, sorta like Blitz. In fact, how about we look at differences and similarities between Blitz and Alastor, since we know Blitz's behavior is a result of trauma?
Both Alastor and Blitz take pleasure in hurting other people. With Alastor, he doesn't care who he hurts (although I 100% think he'd feel guilt for hurting Rosie), while with Blitz, he cares about hurting other people when they're close to him (most recently made clear in Full Moon and Apology Tour). Blitz enjoys hurting people as long as he's not close to then/doesn't know them, which is, in my opinion, a likely reason he started a freelance assassin business (and I actually wouldn't be surprised if it contributed to IMP changing their business from a general Hell assassin business to an assassin business that focuses on offing humans that have wronged sinners). The main difference here is that Alastor's emotional responses are muted (which is why he's significantly less likely to act out), while Blitz's resemble splitting in BPD.
Both Alastor and Blitz are reckless and impulsive. Alastor's recklessness is most clearly seen in The Show Must Go On when he fights Adam, while Blitz's recklessness is made clear throughout Helluva Boss (takes his team to the human world without proper disguises, visits a party where if anyone except Verosika and Stolas knew he was there he would be murdered for it, etc). Alastor also berated Husk on an impulse born from already being stressed out. I can't really think of any specific examples of Blitz's impulsivity and I can't decide if it's because he's so consistently impulsive or if it's because I genuinely can't think of any examples lol
Neither of these two assholes (affectionate) will open up to people unless something forces them to (and potentially not even then in Alastor's case). The only times Blitz has opened up is if he's forced to (Truth Seekers) or if circumstances lower his inhibition (emotional outbursts, Queen Bee, arguably also Truth Seekers). The closest we've gotten to Alastor "opening up" is his mental breakdown that he had when he knew he was alone.
They're both still capable of making genuine connections. Alastor is incredibly close to Rosie (something I personally think is because she has motherly tendencies), and Blitz, despite all his tendencies towards them, seems to consider Moxxie and Millie friends. They're both capable of forming genuine connections, but don't, at least not often; for Blitz, it's because he's afraid of it, and for Alastor, it's likely because he either views it as a weakness or would just rather manipulate people for his own benefit.
It feels a lot like Blitz and Alastor have similar types of trauma; their responses to that trauma are simultaneously similar enough to be comparable and on wildly different ends of the same spectrum. Blitz craves connection, so he seeks it out, then sabotages it when he thinks it's going too far. Alastor avoids connection aside from a few genuine close friendships here and there that he can count on one hand.
I don't think Alastor is incapable of forming genuine emotional bonds with other people, and Rosie and Zestial are proof of that. It comes off more like he actively avoids connection; he doesn't interact much with the hotel's staff and residents aside from Charlie and Niffty, and when everyone's partying in The Show Must Go On, he's watching from afar with Niffty. I also feel like you can easily interpret Alastor's muted emotional responses as him actively trying to mute them; he sounds like he's actively trying not to have a breakdown after he gets slashed by Adam.
He would've largely grown up probably between 1895 and 1915 (or something close to that, depending on his age when he died) as a mixed race kid in New Orleans. You absolutely can not convince me that alone did not in some way contribute to how he is now. Add in a potentially abusive dad and yeah, is it really surprising that Alastor is the way he is? It genuinely just feels like he's a product of his circumstances in childhood. This is doubly the case if the theories that 1, his first murder was that of his dad, and 2, he basically did vigilantism turn out to be true. He himself implies he finds it cathartic to kill the loan sharks in Dad Beat Dad and is pretty much content the rest of the episode after that, he doesn't even seem to care that he's sharing a space with Lucifer after that. I'd be more surprised if his killings in his human life weren't him taking out his trauma on people he thought deserved it to be completely honest.
*Also as a last minute addition, I think it's also easy to interpret Alastor's attitude towards emotions and relationships as viewing them as a weakness, something that it's very likely is also a sign of him being a product of the time period and circumstances he was raised in.
#hazbin hotel#hazbin hotel alastor#alastor the radio demon#jinxed chatter#jinxed analysis#tw child abuse#tw abuse#i also feel like you could extend this analysis to stags (male red deer) being seen as protectors tbh#thats not something im gonna analyze right now though because its 2am lmao#im curious about other people's thoughts on this though. pls let me know your thoughts in the reblogs/replies#side note every new alastor analysis i make makes me more and more excited for alastor lore drops in season 2 lol

One thing I hope they explain sometime down the line, if not in season 2 then in seasons 3 or 4, is the whole fallout between Blitz and Barbie
We know that fire that Blitz caused on accident killed their mom, but I wonder whether there is more to it than it meets the eye. I'll elaborate on that thought right now.
In episode 6 of season 2 we heard that someone blocked Blitz from seeing Fizz in the hospital and the same person told Fizz Blitz didn't ever come to see him and from the season 2.5 trailer, we saw that the person actually preventing them from seeing each other was probably Blitz's dad, Cash.
Secondly, we see that Barb doesn't really have bigger scars on her body compared to Blitz who was in the middle of the fire when it started, which leads me to believe that Barb maybe wasn't in direct line of fire or was not in the circus when the fire broke out.
Now, we don't need to question why this tragedy would lead into Barb's heavy life battle, she lost her mom in the most horrific way possible, but one thought just doesn't want to leave me since the moment I watched "Unhappy Campers"
The way Barb talks to Blitz and how she avoids him, even telling him how he ruined her life, is very telling to me for some reason. Its not a secret that Cash hated his son, so I wouldn't put it past him to turn Barb against Blitz with his many manipulation tactics (which we saw he's capable of in the backstory episode when he sold Blitz to Goetia). Also, I am a firm believer, at least from what we saw from Cash, that he was way more pissed about his circus and main cash cow (Fizz) being destroyed/hurt rather than being furious and sad because his wife just died and his own twins are probably traumatized.
So yeah, I truly believe that in his pissy and petty revenge, Cash decided to make everyone hate Blitz, even Barbie
This makes their whole situation that more heartbreaking for two other reasons: due to her dad's possible manipulation, Barb probably truly believes Blitz burnt down the circus out of jealousy towards Fizz which also killed their mom and caused many more casualties, so I understand her obvious and heavy disdain for her brother.
Secondly, knowing Blitz's tendency to self-sabotage, he doesn't even try to deny that the whole incident is his fault when Barbie calls him out and tells that she hates his guts to his face
But, because we saw a certain progress, mostly in a way how Blitz explained to Fizz what actually happened and how he finally defended himself, I have faith something like this might also happen with Barbie. I just hope we get to see it sooner rather than later.
I want for Blitz to start healing properly and one of the best ways for that is him finally explaining to Barb what actually happened that night.

BALLROOM BLITZ
***
...
Y/N sat on the living room couch; the television in front of her wasn't showing anything of particular interest to her. The light filled the room, casting shadows onto the walls. Apart from the television, there was no noise in the house. Karen and Graham were out together somewhere, Eddie had left not long ago, giving a very awkward goodbye to Y/N, and she didn't know where Warren was.
Y/N had a bottle of whiskey open next to her, and she occasionally took a swig, letting it burn down the back of her throat. She could be out partying right now, and instead, she was sitting alone on the couch, drawing her feelings in alcohol. Grabbing the bottle, Y/N took another swig, a longer one.
"Woah, what are you doing here?" Warren questioned, walking into the living room.
"Drowning my sorrows," Y/N says, "Care to join me?" She held the bottle of whisky.
Looking like he was about to go out, Warren took the bottle out of her hand and took a swig before collapsing on the couch next to her.
"You don't have yo stay, y'know," Y/N says, "You can go out."
Warren waved his hand, "Nah, I'd rather spend my time with you anyways."
Y/N smiled before taking another sip of the whisky and passing it back to Warren.
"So, what's got you down?" Warren questions.
Y/N sighs and rests her head on the back of the couch, "Everything."
"Well, I'm here to hear all about it." Warren says, copying Y/N's actions.
"I'm sure that you won't want to hear about most of it." Y/N says.
"Why?" Warren chuckles, "It's not like you're screwing any of us."
Warren laughed, but Y/N didn't. When Warren noticed this, he turned to her; his laughter slowly faded, "You're not screwing any of us, right?"
Y/N pressed her lips into a thin line before taking the whiskey out of her hands and taking a long swig. Warren watched with a confused expression on his face.
"Who is it?" Warren presses, "Actually don't tell me, I don't want to know," He pauses, "Actually I want to know."
"For christ's sake, Warren, it's Eddie!" Y/N exclaimed.
For some reason, telling someone gave Y/N a sense of clarity, and some weight crushing her was lifted.
"Wow," Warren says, "And to think if you screwed any of us, I would be the one."
Y/N chuckled and rested her head on Warren's shoulder. The two sat in silence for a while. The silence between them was comforting; she always felt at ease in Warren's presence. Despite all of Warren's flirty comments, she knew he never meant them.
"So when did it start?" Warren questioned after a while, "You and Eddie?"
Y/N sighed, "Well it happened twice, once at that party just after Billy came back from rehab and then the day Billy and Camila moved out."
"So you're not screwing anymore?" Warren questioned.
"No," Y/N says, "After the first time we both agreed that it was a one time thing, then when it happened again, it changed everything."
"I did wonder why the two of you were acting weird with each other," Warren states, "How did it change everything?"
"Well he refused to even look at me," Y/N says, "He would avoid me constantly, he then met that girl and brought her back to the house."
"Oh shit that was the girl who looked like you!" Warren exclaimed, "She was dull."
"That's what Karen said." Y/N says, lifting her head from Warren's shoulder.
"So what else happened?" Warren asks, "Because you two seem pretty hostile with each other, you more to him."
"Well that party at Camila and Billy's he cornered me and wanted to talk about that night, finally after ignoring me for so long." Y/N says.
"Was that the night you were with that James guy?" Warren questions.
Y/N nods, "Yeah, he was quite dull."
Warren chuckles slightly, "Yeah, he was asking me all night about him, asking me about who he was and why he was with you. He barely paid any attention to his date."
Y/N pauses, thinking about Warren's comment for a while, "He came to find me that night and we had an argument," Y/N says, "He said that that night meant nothing to him and I said the same. After that we just kind of avoided each other."
"You seem to be holding back from something," Warren says, "You can tell me."
Sighing, Y/N reached over to the nearly empty bottle of alcohol, "We're going to need a lot more of this."
***
Y/N and Warren lay sprawled on the couch; Warren's vest was discarded, leaving his bare torso in the open. Y/N had also discarded her cardigan, leaving her in just her top and shorts. There was a nearly empty bottle of wine between the two, and the whisky bottle was empty on the floor next to the two.
"And then I told him to not talk to me." Y/N says, her voice beginning to slur.
"Wait, wait, wait, so he tried to kiss you again that night?" Warren says.
"Yep," Y/N confirms, "At the album cover shoot he tried to apologise for it again, but I set him straight, I said that our friendship wasn't working out, that night really ruined everything."
"And that's how you ended up here?" Warren says.
"Yeah," Y/N says, "I could be out there screwing whatever guy I want and I'm sat here drinking my sorrows away."
Warren pauses, "Y/N, I'm going to say something but you have to not interrupt me, okay?"
Y/N furrowed her eyebrows, "What do you mean?"
Warren sighs, "You're leaving one thing out of this explanation, that fact that you fell in love with Eddie."
Y/N opened her mouth to protest, but Warren shook his head, "You promised you wouldn't interrupt. Now, I can't speak for Eddie but what I can say is that everything I've noticed about him is that he has been different since you've been around. He's been happier, he doesn't complain as much. You wouldn't be hurting this much if you didn't love him."
Y/N was silent; she didn't say a thing.
"Now I could be wrong, but I think you love Eddie and you are scared to admit it and I think he is in love with you." Warren says.
"I am in love with him." Y/N says, finally speaking.
"Then tell him." Warren urged.
"I can't," Y/N says, "Because if your hunch is wrong and he doesn't love me, then whatever friendship we ever had, no matter how small that is now, will be completely ruined and then that will make things awkward."
"But there is that chance that he does love you back," Warren says, pulling her into a hug, "And I'm sure that I'm right."
Y/N didn't respond; she only hugged Warren tighter. Everything he had said was true, and she hated that he could read her that well. Despite everything Warren had said, Y/N wasn't sure if she would tell Eddie. There was still a small slither that he didn't love her, and then she would mess things up even further.
"You wanna know something?" Y/N says.
"What?" Warren questions.
"Your future wife is going to be one lucky woman to have a guy like you." Y/N says.
Warren smiled before kissing Y/N's cheek, "And your future husband, maybe one we already know and love, is going to be a lucky man."
Y/N only offered Warren a small smile before resting her head on his chest. Thoughts continued swirling through her head, her eyes closed, and she drifted off into a dream-filled sleep, Warren following shortly after.
***
Much later that night, when Eddie walked into the house, his hair was a mess, and his shirt was messed up; lipstick stains were present on his skin that he tried to wipe off, but they were still clearly visible. He sighed when he walked through the door, immediately kicking his shoes off and shrugging his jacket off. He didn't know how to feel.
As he walked into the living room, he froze. There on the couch were Y/N and Warren. His heart stopped, but once he realised that they were both asleep, he sighed in relief; he didn't want to explain himself.
As he walked past the two, his heart twisted. Y/N was asleep on Warren's bare chest while his arm was wrapped lazily around her shoulder. He only wished that he were in Warren's place.
Walking past the two and into his room, Eddie collapsed onto his bed, not bothering to change. Thoughts were swarming around his head. Eddie needed a distraction, and he got one, but he wasn't exactly sure how much this distraction would impact his friendship. Sighing and turning over on his bed, Eddie let out a sigh. It was a problem for the next day.
***
When Y/N and Warren woke the following day, she recalled the previous night's conversation. A small ounce of weight was lifted from her chest, but most of the weight was still there.
"What I told you last night, can we keep that between us?" Y/N says.
"What conversation?" Warren questions and sends her a wink.
Y/N smiles before rubbing the sleep out of her eyes and heading into her room to get ready for the day. They were wanted at the studio again, this time early in the morning, and Y/N wasn't sure how many more early moringa she could take.
As she got ready and headed into the kitchen to make a quick breakfast before she left the house for the entire day, she bumped into Eddie, who was exiting his room.
"Oh, hey." Y/N says.
Eddie only offered Y/N a tight-lipped smile before he walked down the hallway and out of sight. She heard the front door open and close, signalling that he had left the house. Y/N knew that she was the one that suggested that they just remain civil with one another, but after her conversation with Warren, she wanted to retract that statement.
With a shake of her head, Y/N continued her route towards the kitchen to make breakfast.
***
"You regret me and I regret you."
As Billy walked into the studio, Daisy sang to Y/N, Karen, Warren and Graham, "You can't handle your liquor, and you can't seem to handle the truth. I'm a slippage in the system, and I'm perfectly ready to strike. So go ahead and regret me but I'm not easing up on this mic."
Daisy stands up with a piece of paper, "I wrote one for you this time."
Billy takes the paper and gives it a quick read, "This isn't going on the album."
"Why?" Daisy questioned.
"We agreed to write everything together."
"You wrote 'More Fun to Miss' without me, right? That's going on the album." Daisy replied.
"Yeah, well, this is different." Billy protested.
"Why?"
"Cause I say it is, that's why." Billy says, agitated.
"Like that's a reason that will hold up in court." Y/N mumbled.
"Show of hands," Daisy says, "Who thinks this song should go on the album?"
Y/N immediately raised her hand alongside Daisy's. Karen's hand raised not long after.
"It's a good song, Billy," Karen says, "Isn't that what we're all here for?"
"She's right man." Warren spoke up, "It's good."
From inside the booth, Teddy raised his hand, solidifying that the song was going on the album. Y/N smirked at the pissed-off look on Billy's face.
"This is bullshit." Billy says before leaving.
"See ya," Daisy says, taking a seat.
"Hey, where you going?" Warren asks.
"Come on, Billy." Karen says.
"Like a fucking toddler who doesn't get his way." Y/N says.
Daisy smiles at Y/N's comment, "Should we run through it?"
As the band recorded the song, Y/N had a genuine smile for the first time in what she thought was forever. She got to do whatever she wanted, record backing vocals for Daisy, and she was having a good time recording the song.
However, as she looked over at Eddie from across the room, her smile faltered as he looked directly at her, no emotion on his face. A look between the two could usually say so many words, but Y/N couldn't figure this one out or if he was even saying anything. As he looked away, Y/N allowed a smile to appear on her face once again.
She pushed aside all of her feelings and focussed on the music, and for the first time in a while, Y/N was truly happy.
…
DAISY JONES: And that's how we ended the Aurora sessions.
GRAHAM DUNNE: We had a three-week break before rehearsals started.
WARREN ROJAS: I chartered a boat, and I sailed down to Mexico with these, these two sets of identical twins…
Y/N L/N: I remember Warren asked me to go with him, but he had his hands pretty full. During that time, I bought my own house and moved in there [laughs]. I had a lot of parties in that house.
EDDIE ROUNDTREE: I just stayed around, you know. Just to see what happened or whatever.
KAREN SIRKO: I don't think we did anything actually…
…
Y/N danced around her living room with a group of complete strangers; Karen, Graham, and Eddie were somewhere in her house, but she wasn't sure where. As the song on the radio changed, she smiled, immediately recognising the song. Grabbing the nearest bottle of alcohol, she began to dance around the room, pulling people in.
Her body moved to the music, her hips swayed, and her hands were in the air. As she gripped onto someone new, he wrapped an arm around her waist, swaying to the music with her.
"What's your name?" Y/N shouted over the music.
"Andreas!" He shouted back.
"Nice to meet you Andreas!" Y/N shouted, "I'm Y/N."
He grabbed the bottle from Y/N's hand and took a sip, "You're a part of this band."
"Yep," Y/N says, "I'm the rhythm guitarist."
"I'm not exactly sure what that is but It's sounds great anyways." Andreas says.
Y/N threw her head back, laughing, and she continued to dance with Andreas.
From across the room, Eddie held onto his drink. He spoke to a few people who approached him, but he was focused on Y/N and Andreas. If looks could kill, Andreas would be six feet under.
"I think there's someone staring at you." Andreas says into Y/N's ear.
Turning around, Y/N made eye contact with Eddie, and her heart felt heavy. As soon as she looked, he looked away, turning to have a conversation with the person next to him.
"He loves you." Andreas says, "That is a look of love."
Y/N raised an eyebrow, "Well he's been avoiding me for weeks, so I really don't think it's a look of love."
Since that night Y/N had that conversation with Warren, Eddie had avoided Y/N at all costs. If she walked into a room, he would usually walk out. If she said something to him, he would give her a short reply before dropping the conversation entirely. It hurt her that he was acting this way with her. Finally figuring out her feeling for the bassist, Y/N wanted to talk to him, maybe build to that conversation she dreaded. Still, every time she interacted with him, he would dismiss her.
Not only was Eddie treating her this way, but Camila was as well. Y/N had called her multiple times to hang out for the day or have a girl's night with her and Karen, but she always said she was too busy with Julia or Billy was taking her out somewhere. The first few times, Y/N let these excuses slide, not thinking anything of them, but as Camila continued to dismiss all of Y/N's efforts to hang out, Y/N finally figured out that Camila was avoiding her as well.
"Well if that's not the look of love, then I'm blind, darling." Andreas says.
"What about you, huh?" Y/N questioned, "Because that guy standing over there has been giving you 'the look of love' ever since you've been with me."
Andreas looks behind him, and he sighs, "It's complicated.”
"Well we have that in common," Y/N says, "Now why don't me and you just get fucked up and forget about everything troubling us."
"I like you, Y/N," Andreas says as Y/N grabs another bottle of alcohol.
"Good because I like you too," Y/N says, "Now, let's dance!"
…
Y/N L/N: Parties like that were frequent at my house in the weeks leading up to rehearsals. I invited the band to everyone; Karen and Graham showed up to most of them, but Eddie stopped coming after one. Despite my feeling for him, having the space from him did me some good. I felt like I wasn't constantly worrying about what was happening between us. I felt like I could finally breathe…well, until the tour started.

The Dionysian Aspects of Queen Bee
Looking at Bee through the lens of a devotee of Dionysus is very interesting. So, I thought I’d make a post about it.
Dionysus is often mischaracterized as a drunk, but in reality he’s all about consumption within reason. He encourages drinking to excess so far as it brings you pleasure and joy, but the moment your over-indulgence brings you or others pain or shame, you’ve gone too far. He doesn’t approve of making an ass of yourself.
Which is exactly what you see with Queen Bee and Blitz. The moment Blitz is no longer enjoying himself, but drinking to forget and avoid his problems, she speaks up. If he’s not enjoying himself, she can’t enjoy the energy coming off of him. He’s tainting the punch, killing the vibe.
Dionysus also encourages (especially women and the disenfranchised) to free themselves from the bonds of social restrictions and norms. He influenced women to throw down their weaving, uncover their hair, and run wild in the woods during a time when they rarely got to leave their homes.
We see this with Bee’s party. The guests are all Imps and Hellhounds - those of the lower classes. She chooses to socialize and consort with these classes. While you could say this is because they’re her people, and she’s the progenitor of Hellhounds, she doesn’t have to party with them. She still has a higher position than they do. And while having an affinity for Hellhounds makes sense, she also seems to prefer imps which I personally think points towards simply enjoying the company of lower class demons.
Bee strikes me as someone who would willingly lower herself to their level to an extent for the fun of it. And she may potentially have a preference for those who are more downtrodden in society.
Note I say “to an extent” because she still has power and shows no signs of not wanting it. And she can be a bit rough with her encouragements to party. Her reasons for doing so aren’t entirely altruistic either. She wants others to feel good because she wants to feel good, too.
Dionysus can also be harsh and forceful with his liberation and freedom. It is not always something he allows his followers to choose to engage in. Sometimes, he also throws you into the punch bowl lol.
He’s a powerful God and he has no desire to be anything else. He uses that power and status to get things he wants, fuck with people for fun, and have his own good time. Bee is no more equal to the Hellhounds at her party than Dionysus to the bacchanates of his thiasos. So, in my interpretation, neither wish to actually be equal to the downtrodden they seek to uplift.
I do like to imagine Bee could incite her Hellhounds into a Dionysian frenzy and it would fit with her bee influence fairly well. That is of course just a head canon. But I think it would be a fun power.
Dionysus was also about sexual liberation, and I think she showed a bit of that with her musings over Satan lol.
But, I think, much like Dionysus, Bee is likely an extremely morally complex person. I don’t think she’s as purely good and benevolent as I’ve seen some speculate. Who in Hell is? She’s likely got her darker shades even if on the whole, she’s much more interested in others having fun than some Sins probably are.
Disclaimer: this is just a ramble because I really liked drawing the parallel. It is not an attempt to say that Bee is a terrible, horrible, evil bitch since I know someone will misconstrue it that way somehow, this being the internet and all. But she has notes of a God I worship so it should be obvious that I like her and this is not an attempt at slander.

Since Ozzie and Fizz are supposed to appear in "Ghostf*ckers," I'm still willing to bet that the main reason for them being there when no one was expecting them is about investigating the attack in Lust as it's something very important that hasn't been discussed and because Mammon is also supposed to be there, so he could be trying to stir the pot over that; he also could be working on a smear campaign of Fizz since he quit him, but obviously we don't know yet. :/
If it's the investigation theory, I'm really hoping that if they see that IMP was involved, they'll also see that the cherubs were the initiators as well as they were targeting Blitz because while Ozzie has every right to be upset/angry about the destruction in his ring, seeing that this was a hit as well as is someone he likes and is so important to Fizz will likely make him more sympathetic/forgiving; he fortunately is a good listener as we've seen, so he'd still be willing to hear IMP out over this anyway I'm sure, albeit his temperament going in depends on how much he see of the attack. :/ Plus, if he sees it's IMP and goes there, that could lead to the hilarious visual of Ozzie and Fizz in the IMP office with a flustered Moxxie given his last encounter with them and possibly Ozzie squeezing into that tiny space before he shrinks down. ;) XD
If Ozzie and Fizz shows up there asking questions, there's every chance Moxxie and Loona will leave out that they got caught by humans, which is how they were able to get enough funding to make a portal and such, but I would hope Ozzie would focus and be more concerned on the issue of cherubs actively working with humans to attack Hell as except for Pride, angelic forces aren't supposed to be doing anything else down there and as far as we've seen, Heaven isn't being attacked on their home turf. True, the cherubs got kicked out of Heaven and aren't really acting on behalf of them as they want vengeance against IMP, but I highly doubt Ozzie would let it slide that the cherubs or more so the DHORK agents are trying to start an all-out attack on their home and the semantics of whose fault it is doesn't matter, especially since the agents' goal seems to have been to destroy Hell all along; plus, the cherubs full-on working with humans likely violates some cosmic laws or at the very least would be infuriating considering it makes Heaven no better than Hell when it comes to influencing the Earth and may even be worse since these cherubs are actively helping humans enter a realm they're not meant to be in unless they go there are Sinners. -_-
Another possible reason too for Fizz and Ozzie's presence is that if Blitz is doing the same thing with Fizz that he's doing with Moxxie, Millie and Loona and acting like everything is fine (or possibly ignoring any messages from Fizz all together), they could still show up at IMP to get to the bottom of it as they can put two and two together that something must have gone wrong with Stolas for him to be behaving like this. :/ Sadly, Stolas is not in this episode according to IMDb (or he doesn't have any speaking lines at least), so it means we won't see for ourselves how he's doing until "Mastermind" it seems, which makes me worry that Stolas is avoiding others and isolating himself further as his way of dealing with the breakup, which could also be why they go to see Blitz first if Stolas isn't responding to messages along with Blitz is Fizz's best friend after all. ;_; ;_; ;_; It'd be worse in my opinion though if Stolas is actually doing the opposite and taking a page from Blitz's book where he's instead going out to more parties to get wasted and hookup with random people. O_O >_< Ugh. I just want these two to heal and start to come back together to a healthier place. ;_; ;_; ;_;
Obviously, I could be totally wrong, but I'm just hoping for the best case scenario here as we know things are going to get worse for IMP, Blitz and Stolas it seems based on the trailer, so it'd just be nice to have Fizz and Ozzie still be in their corner wanting everything (or at least Stolitz) to be okay and doing what they can while also hopefully being okay themselves. :/

FIC REC WEEK 26 – ROM-COM
SERIES: A Royal Romance by BladeoftheNebula
Pairing: Steve/Tony Rating: E Words: 40,452 Tags: Modern Royalty AU, News Media, Pre-Serum Steve
Reasons why I love it: This could legit be made into a Rom-Com, and everyone would gobble it up like royal wedding cake. Seriously, if you like modern royalty romance, this is an absolute must-read. It's fluffy and funny and more swoon-worthy with every fic that gets added to the story. Please go and check it out, I promise you won't regret it!
This series consists of:
Heavy is the Head that wears the Crown
Pairing: Steve/Tony Rating: T Words: 22,293 Tags: Romance, Getting Together, Hurt/Comfort
Summary: “Just remember, and this is essential, you call the King ‘Your Majesty’ during the first introduction and afterwards it’s ‘sir’. Queen Maria is likewise ‘Your Majesty’ and thereafter ‘ma’am’, and Prince Anthony is ‘your royal highness, the Prince of Wales’, and ‘sir’ thereafter.” Steve was never going to remember all this. Thank god he was never going to meet any of them. -- When Steve Rogers moved to London he was expecting the bad overpriced flat and the metric system. What he never could've expected was that the heir to the throne would fall for a skinny asthmatic from Brooklyn.
Reasons why I love it: This fic has everything. A meet-cute, romance, drama, angst, fluff, humor – it's a smorgasbord of everything I love. The whole thing just puts the biggest smile on my face. If you haven't read this one, you absolutely have to. I can guarantee that it'll suck you into the rest of the series.
Royal Lockdown
Pairing: Steve/Tony Rating: G Words: 2,136 Tags: Fluff, COVID-19, Quarantine
Summary: “Your majesty, please,” the palace advisor, Mr. Collins, begged, sounding more and more frustrated. “It’s hardly without precedence. Your grandfather evacuated during the blitz. A king should be protected.” “My grandfather was at risk of being bombed,” Tony dismissed. “This is something we can fight by simply staying put. We can set a good example by self-isolating and not travelling unnecessarily.” -- Not even Kings and their consorts are unaffected by the global pandemic - and Steve is determined to be part of the solution.
Reasons why I love it: Oh my god, Steve is such a little shit, and I love him for it. So does Tony, clearly, considering how happy he makes Steve with his little monetary investment there. I love this fic, and you should definitely read it!
Rules of Engagement
Pairing: Steve/Tony Rating: T Words: 10,689 Tags: Humor, Weddings, Paparazzi
Summary: It's the most highly anticipated event of the year: the Royal Wedding Steve Rogers, formerly of Brooklyn, will finally marry his King Charming ...provided they can survive the tabloids, annoying relatives and the occasional swan
Reasons why I love it: I laughed so hard at all of the media formats in this – they really take this fic to a whole other level, it's so good. In general this fic is really goddamn funny and sweet besides, so if you need a good laugh today, put it on your list.
Dancing in Dubrovnik
Pairing: Steve/Tony Rating: E Words: 5,334 Tags: Beach Holiday, Tourism, Humor and Fluff
Summary: “We haven’t really had a chance to talk about the elephant in the room,” Tony murmured, his chest humming against Steve’s cheek. Steve sighed, even as they rocked from side to side. “I know. I’ve been avoiding it if I’m honest.” He tilted his head to look at Tony, giving him a wobbly smile. “Sorry.” -- King Anthony and his consort Steve go on holiday in Croatia and have some Real™️ Talk.
Reasons why I love it: What a lovely vacation they're having, I'm kind of jealous. I love all of the friendship feels in this, Rhodey especially cracked me up several times. And oh my god, the dancing scene? Goes from sweet to hot as hell in the blink of an eye, and I am SO here for it. I love this whole series, and you should definitely read it, if you haven't already!
