genuinely. seeing mainstream media use the words lesbian and bisexual less and less and that somehow being framed as progressive even in media about lgbt people is sooo upsetting. in reality all this does is fuel lesbiphobia and biphobia and transphobia while also robbing people of literally hearing words that not only describe their experiences but also situate those experiences in decades and centuries of history and culture. honestly if you think seeing media where lgbt characters use labels for themselves makes them less relateble, that's a skill issue! get good!
