“Mustard & Ketchup”

Summary: you’re a runaway mutant and you need a place to stay. you find one but is it worth the chaos?

Warnings: mentions of blood and knives, profanity, written with fem!reader in mind but could be gender neutral or male iyw

A/N: This has been in my drafts for weeks so I gotta get it out before the dust collects on it💀 not really proofread tbh..

You stared at the paper in you hand titled in big letters “Roomate needed” and sighed.

You were a mutant who couch surfed after running away from home. Cue typical tragic backstory stuff. Anyways, the last person found out what you were and you had to bounce. Now you needed a place to stay for cheap and quick. You had a job at some bar (that was a secret mutant friendly space) but it couldn’t really pay bills, let alone rent.

So after work one day, when you saw a roommate need flyer you grabbed it immediately. Under the title was an odd drawing of a ketchup bottle and a mustard bottle done in crayon with some red guy in the corner waving. Then under that was the following(also in crayon) : roomate needed asap. rent’s under $300. must be ok with dogs, blind old people, claws and blood. (Like lots of blood)

You sighed. It’s been a week on streets and sleeping on cold benches and that rent was enticing. Whoever made the flyer though was definitely either a child or someone extremely questionable but you definitely weren’t in any spot to be picky right now. Even though you were slightly turned away by the emphasis of “being ok with blood” (what the hell could that even mean!?!) Maybe you can save up while there and hopefully move out soon.

The address was at the bottom of the paper so you decided you’ll stop by in the morning.

The apartment actually wasn’t too far from the bar and the bench you claimed for the week was close to the bar also so after doing a quick freshing up in the bar bathroom you made your way to the apartment. It was decent enough…nothing shady..but nothing special either. The second you got to the door you heard screaming and a dog barking. Was this really the place?

Just when you were about to turn around and rethink this whole thing the door flung open. You gasped as a man with….spotted skin?? stood at the door with a knife stuck in the side of his head. He was bald and actually kinda tall? Notably, he also wore pink boxers paired with a my little pony shirt. No socks. Very odd sight to see and take in.

“Sorry, I think I have the wrong-“ you started but the man looked down at you holding the flyer and immediately exclaimed, “Oh! Logan! Someone’s seen one of the flyers I made! Oh, do come on in we were just having a friendly fight…”

All you could muster was, “Friendly?” As you glanced at the knife and blood in his shirt. Distracted, he successfully ushered you in the door as you were soon met with a small, old looking dog with its tongue hanging out. It barked at you and you jumped slightly.

“Oh, don’t mind her…he’s as sweet as pie. Well, maybe some really old and hairy pie but still sweet regardless.” The man said as he closed the door. “I’m Wade by the way.”

You smiled at the dog but soon turned to protest being in the apartment. It was quite the scene. You knew it was at least more than one person living here, not only because you heard arguing before the door opened but because of all the stuff. I mean, no way this was all him? Right?

“Hey, so, you know what…I dunno about all this…I mean..wow..” You looked around and soon noticed more blood, clothes everywhere, multiple bottles of alcohol , definitely a lot of knifes and..swords..? Half lit cigars? And why does the couch have 3 large claw marks in them? Surely, it couldn’t have been this dog.

Was that stuffed unicorn?

Wade noticed you concerned and sighed.

“You know this place was a lot neater a week ago, but let’s just say I recently adopted an alcohol addicted wolverine so everything has gone to shit. I mean, look at my head!” The man dramatically pointed to the knife. “He did this!”

You just laughed and backed up. Okay, now it’s time to really get the hell out. Of course, before you could move or even reply, soon entered another character. You watched a gruff, also taller but older looking man walk out. He was, too, covered with splats of blood.

“Speak of the devil. Hey, you got an apology yet, wolvie? Hm? Go on.” Wade crossed his arms and glared at the other man but the man just stared at you in confusion.

“Wade, who the fuck is this?”

Oh, this was awkward.

“I told you, someone saw our flyer! You never listen! Y’know, I’m starting to want a divorce!”

“Our flyer??”

“Well, I told you I was making one! Again, you don’t listen! You’re not being very mindful or demure right now!”

“What??????” Cue a head tilt which you found sightly amusing. “What the fuck are you talking about-….”

You decided to interrupt. “Um..yeah so if it’s gonna be a problem I can go….”

You started moving towards the door but Wade stopped you and said, “Oh, no no no..don’t let this meanie beanie weenie scare you away. This monster. This..this drunk!” Wade glared at him as the man rolled his eyes and looked away. “You’re welcomed to the family as of right freaking now!.”

The older man sighed and silently cursed as Wade sat you on the couch.

“Well, I don’t have anything other than this paper I guess..oh and my wallet and phone.” You decided you should also tell them the biggest secret you normally keep from others. That you were a mutant. Luckily for you, it was more hidden but it scared the hell out of the last person you stayed with so you wanted to get it out the way now. “Um…I should have you know, since my other folks didn’t like that i suprised them.. that I am a…y’know..”

You trailed off hoping he would get it but you quickly got your answer when Wade shouted, “A mutant!”

The old man glanced at you for a second as you fearfully watched their reactions but when the older man didn’t move and Wade hugged you,rather tightly also, you felt some relief.

“Me, too girlfriend…actually us two! It’s so nice to have another mutant friend. This whole thing is playing out just like my fan-fiction!”

“Us?” You asked ignoring the odd comment he made at the end.

“Means me.” The older man spoke up. “Name’s Logan.”

He waved once and walked up to Wade.

Logan asked Wade if he could speak alone and Wade told you to stay put as they went into another room. As you heard some back and forth going on you couldn’t help but wonder what mutations they could have. Maybe that explains Wades skin? And the fact he had a nice in his head, even now still, that didn’t seem to bother him. At first you just ruled him out as crazy but this makes sense too.

You were left alone for 5 minutes until Wade came back out.

“Okay, so, here’s the deal. Logan is being a big fat baby but I say you can stay on the account this is my place. We definitely need some extra hands around here so you can just stay on the couch. All the beds are taken right now unless you wanna share with me or Wolvie. And umm, do you already have a job?”

“Well, I work at the bar not to far from here…” You calmly replied.

Wade nodded “Great! Got another alcohol fan here, you’ll get along great with Mr. buns of steel in no time! He love alcohol, any kind, including the rubbing kind!”

Logan walked out the room again but immediately told Wade to “Shut the hell up.”.

“What?! It’s true! You do have buns of steel! And i literally saw you drink that rubbing alcohol-!”

Logan rolled his eyes again, sighing heavily as he grabbed a bottle of alcohol and sat in an armchair, turning on the tv.

You and Wade went over the rent, he mentioned the other resident, some older kind lady, and also explained when the trash comes. He kind of went over his lore and why he called a man a wolverine but it was all hard to follow.

“Wait, he’s an X-Man? Like comic book X-Man?” You said when Wade brought up Logan’s past.

“Oh, yes except it’s real in his universe and many others.. He’s actually the worst one but that’s just between you and me. However, he kinda makes up for it as he’s real good with those claws….” Wade winks but you can only tilt your head.

“God..-“ Logan grumbled as he finished the bottle. “Do you ever stop?”

“Not unless you beg for it.” Wade quickly replied but even quicker added, “No homo. Actually, full homo.”

Logan just stared in annoyance and focused back on the tv, shaking his head.

“Ok, well…why the ketchup and mustard on the flyer?”

“Oh, I just call us that. Cute little pet names.. yeah.. I’ll call him cutie patootie and he’ll call me a dumbass.” Wade sighed like he was reflecting on good times while Logan laughed out once. Wade soon adds, “I’m ketchup cause my suits red and I’m the more popular, more loved “condiment” anddd Logan is mustard because he can be more bitter and not as popular..I mean ask anyone reading this and most people would say they like ketchup more it’s a fact!”

Right after Wade finishes talking Logan throws a book at Wade’s head barking at him to shut up yet again.

“…We have fun here.”

“I see.” You looked around again at the chaos as Wade rubs his head and pouts at Logan. Wade asked if you could help clean this mess up. And any other future messes.. He said you could pay a bit less on rent if you did. You just agreed, having cleaned up worse at the bar.

You knew it was going to take some getting used to but you could make it work. On the bright side, you some what enjoyed Wade’s odd behavior. You wondered however, if Logan liked you but then again that didn’t matter either. You watched as the dog walked up to you, wanting to be picked up.

“Oh, look, it’s like she chose you! Like how beginning Pokémon chose their trainers…or, is it the other way around?”

You laughed as you picked up the dog.

“Well, thanks for letting me stay here.” You began petting the dog on your lap. “Don’t worry about me being here forever, I’m gonna try to save up and maybe give it take in 6 months I’ll be out your….um”

“Hair? Ha! It’s ok sweetheart, no offense. But you don’t have to worry about rushing out, I like you already and I’m sure Wolvie here does too right?”

Logan chugged the last bit of the bottle and just stared at Wade and you, sighing. With Logan’s face unreadable, Wade just laughed and said, “Give him time, most Wolverines start this way but they warm up in a few days at most a couple weeks….”

You just nodded like you understood and relaxed into the couch taking in your surroundings. Wade and Logan started to go back and forth again but you ended up tuning them out. Yup, this is your new life. Was it worth it?

You watched another knife fly in the air, barely missing you.

What would you say the most major differences between comics!Goldie (you can specify different comic writers if you want) and DT17!Goldie are?

I'd say the biggest difference between DT17!Goldie and her comic versions is the call to adventure. Though every comic writer writes Goldie differently, what's consistent is that she settled down after the Klondike, stayed in the area, kept things simple (sometimes successfully, sometimes unsuccessfully, depending on the writer). Which is fine, but doesn't fit the vibe of DT17 so it makes sense that they did something different.

It's hard to talk about the different comic writer depictions of Goldie because most of them have only written her once, maybe twice. Don Rosa is the exception, of course. Carl Barks only wrote her once, and Rosa's version strays from that a tiny bit (as much as he didn't want it to). I think it's obvious that Rosa wanted to write Goldie as a more present character, he wanted to include her in more things, but he didn't want to contradict Barks' canon so he didn't. But you can tell that he writes Goldie with the idea that she has a whole life of her own without Scrooge.

The writer with the second-most credits for stories with Goldie in them is Marco Nucci, but tbh that's just because he does a lot of Christmas stories. Mostly takes place during the gold rush, the stories don't always fit the Barks/Rosa timeline but they just fit into the setting.

Next highest number of Goldie writing credits is Marco Gervasio, but most of those are cameos. He did write the really beautiful and excellent story King of the Klondike but as for how that comic fits with others................I mean. I love it, personally. Gervasio followed Rosa's thought process - he wrote a story about Scrooge and Goldie, instead of a story about Scrooge that has Goldie in it. It's more interesting and more memorable.

Otherwise writers have only written Goldie stories once or twice, and most of them just focus on the past. Gold rush-era Goldie content tends to be consistent across the board, and repetitive, and often Goldie's role is small. The ones where she has a bigger role we get the basic Scrooge/Goldie content - lots of romantic/sexual tension, lots of arguing, some sort of misunderstanding or lie. And then usually older!Scrooge staring at a photo of her and sighing.

As for present-day Goldie stories, the most consistent things are that she's still very tricky, still very horny, and still very prideful (though less so in Rosa's stories). Tricky, horny, & prideful I think are the big Goldie traits that need to be present for her to feel in-character.

Soooo tl;dr as for differences from DT17, yeah the big thing is the call for adventure. All differences in her personal story and personality can be tied directly to that specific aspect.

Why isn't she more mature at her age? 'Cause she's been running around trying to one up Scrooge instead of settling down and working on herself. Why isn't she running a hotel in Dawson City? 'Cause she's been running around trying to one up Scrooge instead of staying in one place.

We got to know a lot about Goldie's personality in DT17 but not much about her life, which leaves a lot of room for headcanons but also leaves us wanting. But it left enough room that we can pretty easily take content from her comic selves and combine them with her cartoon self without any contradiction and that works pretty nicely for me.

Anyway anyway. Sorry. I keep getting distracted. Adventure is the big difference. Which is fitting since DT17 also wrote Scrooge with more emphasis on his adventuring spirit because they knew that'd be a more interesting story for animation than focusing too much on the money. Good to make them match, and it also stretched out an already iconic love story into 120 years of drama. And also gave us Scheme Team which I am forever thankful for. I miss 'em. I miss Goldie...........

hmm ok thoughts/questions so far on hazbin hannibal au (feel free to chime in):

okay full disclosure I haven't watched hannibal in like four years but I was obsessed enough with it at the time that I can hopefully still analyze it without forgetting major chunks of plot (emphasis on hopefully)

also full disclosure that a lot of my view of alastor is based on fandom/my own extrapolation; I rewatched some of hazbin recently, and we honestly don't get much! there's a lot of room for different interps and I'm just using mine

the most obvious choice for hannibal is alastor, but the characters are just different enough that I can either a) have someone else be hannibal or b) have the whole point be that alastor is not hannibal (and why that's interesting)

hannibal is a lonely devil (but like, not from the bible): he's the only guy in the world that knows how to play chess, and he'll do anything to keep playing with the one other guy that knows how to play chess; hannibal is legitimately better and cooler than most people, and he is only actually made vulnerable by will.

alastor is like. just a guy tbh. even in hell, he's kind of mediocre; not all of the other overlords respect him, and he's not even as powerful as the goetia, much less anyone in heaven. and that's not even touching on human alastor.

hannibal is born into a lot of wealth, and I think that shapes his sense of "morality;" instead of absorbing actual morals, he absorbs a need for decorum and propriety (the aesthetic of morality basically). he kills because people are "impolite." he fucks with people because it's genuinely just interesting, and he doesn't respect them as people.

I don't really know what to do with hannibal's trauma with later being destitute and having to eat his sister; it wasn't fully explained in the show, and I think it's kind of a relic from the more human version of him in the books. maybe it speaks to a level of having to remove oneself emotionally because being invested means Something Bad Happened to Hannibal, which cannot happen ("nothing happened. I happened." etc etc), and that's why he needs to see everything as a game he can control. that makes will a lot more significant because hannibal could've chosen not to play chess, but now that he does, he needs someone to play with him (or he might have to go back to believing something bad happened). eh.

I don't think alastor was born into wealth at all; I'm good with the general fandom interp of him growing up poor with a shitty father, and I don't really see him as ever becoming wealthy in life. I doubt being a radio show host paid that much, especially since his whole thing is not being a sellout.

alastor's morality is kind of a big question mark that everyone has a different answer to. I don't like the politeness thing because again, I see it as being shaped by hannibal's childhood, and I also do think alastor is Invested. I think he's too invested, actually; there's kind of this desperate edge to him that hannibal would never have. alastor's ego is wounded multiple times and he is, at least to the audience, very obviously ticked off by it. he doesn't like that the other overlords aren't impressed by him, he has a meltdown over husk's minor jab, and tears out his own hair at the idea that other people might've thought he had a heart. he's less of a master chess player and more of a wounded animal that got really good at scaring other animals into not hurting it again. but he's still an animal. and no one has gotten close enough to heal the wound.

so I guess alastor's morality is just whatever feels good/safe. I watched swarm a while back, and I liked the use of murder as a kind of coping mechanism: "this feels bad. I don't feel safe. I don’t know how to deal with this. no one in my life has taught me how to process emotions normally, so I'm literally just gonna do murder." dre's killing is subtextually compared to stress eating; it feels good, there's a dopamine rush, and you stop thinking about the bad things. you can also eat comfort food just because you want to and enjoy it.

something I realized while I watched the show is that I'm pretty sure we don't see alastor actually kill that many people? like he fucked with pentious and tried to kill adam, plus we get a flashback about killing other overlords, but I only remember him actually killing the sharks that were after mimzy. so. lots of extrapolation still.

I think all of those examples can be read using the eating metaphor, but obviously there's some other stuff going on too. killing the overlords was a reputation-building (no one will hurt me if I'm scary enough) moment, but it was also just for the more practical side of gaining power/souls. killing for mimzy helped confirm to charlie that he could defend the hotel, and it also plays into his role as a gentleman that will clean up mimzy's messes. he gets to be a hero in a fucked up way.

there's obviously no redemption arc for hannibal. I don't even know what the fuck that would mean in a thematic sense. but I do think alastor can be softened a lot if he lets someone in to heal the wound. not sure who that would be though.

I have a lot more, but just one little thing to end on and get y'all's thoughts going: what if vox is hannibal? not in the full character sense, but just to fill the role as the rich guy that psychoanalyzes people. he's probably more obviously suited to a freddie lounds-type role, but maybe he does hypnosis "therapy" and realizes it doesn't work on alastor, which sparks his interest. just some food for thought.

and as someone had once said: if your story/character doesn't need rape, don't write rape. in my opinion, this story doesn't need that. jimmy already tries to kill the whole crew, in fact, jimmy already berates and gets pissed off at anya. you don't need rape to show that jimmy is an asshole, nor to even show that he's horrible to anya. and if you took the rape out, this story would still be basically the exact same. Jimmy. Does. Not. Need. To. Be. A. Rapist.

if you have a counterargument go ahead but i feel like rape is that One Thing you can't just put into a story without tact and care or just offhandedly. this is one of the few cases where if someone went "im going to ignore the rape part of this story" that i feel it would be justified, as it truly just ain't that great here.

(( Hey guys, it’s been a few days. I’m so sorry I left so suddenly, I was experiencing burn out yet again and this case was ESPECIALLY bad. I kept guilt tripping myself over my break too because I felt horrible for leaving everyone in the dark.

The TDLR is I got too ambitious with events again and I keep poorly managing both threads AND asks and I need to fix that.

-I won’t be doing colored replies anymore unless it’s for added emphasis, it was taking too long and it gave me a headache ngl. I have eyesight problems and I honestly made them slightly worse doing that.

-I don’t know if I’ll do any events for a while, up until I’m in the swing of things again. I got too ambitious and got severely burnt out and tired. :,]

-Threads are not time sensitive, assume they’re in their own time bubble unless it’s A stream RP or auction event. I make those interactive on purpose! Otherwise the rest of them are again in their own time bubble!!! This is so I don’t drive myself insane with time sensitive scenarios.

That stuff about the guys being told about yuu's got me also thinking about being told about their myths, legends, and fairy tails. A world without magic still has all these stories about mers or fae....tho they prob shouldn't be told about some darker stuff...theres certainly an interesting one about how eating the flesh of a mermaid's tail will give eternal youth/life and a lot about fae eating or stealing kids.

You are very ok friend, the differences between our world's fairy tales and twst's is something I have been thinking about specifically because of things like this σ(￣、￣=) As long as you don't actively describe the process of eating other people I'm usually ok.

The mermaid flesh myth is more or less specific to Japan (at least i think) and while it does grant you eternal life it's also extremely taboo. You gain eternal life, but are more or less cursed and forced to live a solitary existence. Twisted Wonderland actually sort of references this in the first Halloween Event. As part of their plan to spook off the magicam monsters Azul tells them that mummified merfolk used to be seen as a sort of cure all by humans, which also is true of human mummies in our world, but we don't know if that's a real "fact" in this world or shit Azul made up to scare the guests. The octotrio in general do not seem to shy away from darker implications, so I could see them not being so disgusted they don't want to learn about it. (I could see Floyd maybe making a few rather tasteless jokes that get worse as Jade encourages him. Azul just wants to assure you that his flesh has no medicinal properties.)

As for the fae... I think Lilia would be the most interested in learning these things, which I say a lot in these posts but I want to point out that he places a big emphasis on learning about how other people see the world. He might not want to be active in Briar Valley politics anymore, but I could see him encouraging Yuu to talk about how their world sees fae with Malleus specifically so he can think about how to responsibly use his power. It's obvious to them that they don't eat children or steal them away, but why might people think that way? Lilia seems to think it's important to try and understand that, which makes me really like him tbh

What I would really want the octotrio's (and diasmonia gang to a lesser extent) opinion on is things like Selkies. I mentioned in my long fic musing that how Disney's Hercules and the myth of Orpheus and Eurydice play out are very different, but the same sort of goes for other love stories in our world. The concept of stealing yourself a wife is featured a lot in certain myths, and the couple doesn't always live happily ever after. I rather like the idea of a Yuu who despite being the more good aligned character is extremely resigned to tragedy and things ending baldy vs the twst boy their in love with thinking that specifically because they are in love with Yuu things should work out because in their world myths about love end happily. You could make that dynamic toxic, but I like to think of it in the sense that despite not being the best person, whoever you ship Yuu with will literally move the heavens and earth for them so they can get that happy ending.

I checked lmao. 2022? Nothing, except 2 vacation posts with n (who used to be in those vacay pictures but they’re deleted now). Maybe some friends posts in these years were there before, but if so, they’ve been deleted as well which means Omar changed his posting habits and just doesn’t share the kind of stuff he used to (and omg the yesterday’s archive account show us what we lost 😭).

So why all of a sudden he decided to share 3 work-unrelated posts from his vacation, that included photos that were questionable? Posting the photo of him leaning on Simon with double hearts on his story as if to put emphasis on this photo which btw was not the first one in the post so that was not automatic. And then the spainmar tiktok with a glimpse of Simon? FOR WHAT PURPOSE, if not to soft launch. He’s not stupid, he knows all this would be questioned and investigated by fans. He admitted to watching people’s reactions on twitter. So why? For promotion? It’s not like he posted photos with Shawn Mendes lol, Simon is just a random person for his international fans. Simon, whose social media presence at the moment is super rare. Why would Omar randomly shone a light on him?

Think about how we have like 5 pics in total of Omar and Simon being in the same photo/video from 2020 to 2023, and now all of a sudden we have so many this year? Those black and white photos on the bed from someone’s birthday in April. The parade. I know Hugo was apparently there as well, but still. And the family picnic with loofs (hugo was also there, which makes me think he’s dating hilda maybe?). and the concert with loofs (and hugo, which again, hilda?). that Pedro person birthday from a few weeks ago. the selfie at the concert with a third-wheeling hilda. I know omar has some bold photos with many of his friends, but why this particular one was posted and deleted because it belonged to his private account? Simon at grona concert, which on its own no big deal, but that’s my entire point – on their own, none of these things are much/convincing. It’s when you put them together, when you see the patterns change, when you connect the dots. C o m e  o n. Has omar EVER said „hey, i have a bf, this is n?”. no! And he won’t say anything directly now either.

Which brings us to the last thing, the nail to the coffen: the stolen man tiktok. Let’s recap. 1. Omar’s not stupid and knows his fans are little detectives 2. Omar doesn’t say relationship stuff directly 3. Omar doesn’t post his friends outside of work (Sabotage TT was an exception) 4. Simon's kinda lowkey so Omar implying a relationship of any kind for shit and giggles makes no sense. So we take all that and still think that Omar went to Simon on a random day, in between formal events, radio interviews and Zoom interviews, in the same clothes, just to shoot a TikTok with him, shirtless, with a bag on his head, in his flat, playing the role of his „stolen man”. • The one thing that inspired me to make this post, a bit about WYB’s side account. It’s not a secret that he has one, probably even multiples but for some reason this one got leaked. especially back in 2019 when his phone number got leaked and some people allegedly verified that this same number was used to register the account. they noticed it followed a couple of motorcycle related accounts, bobo’s true love at the time lol and well the most juicy thing here is that he was visiting the bjyx supertopic.

Then by the end of 2019, it gained followers. WYB might have noticed that he was somehow discovered so the account cleared all it’s watch list and never moved again. Everything is gone. That freakin moon profile picture does not help at all cause we all know his fondness for it and how it’s one of the fandom’s symbolism. The way it was created on 3/14 is also very sus.

We have all CPN’d that he visited the ST and why not tbh. Even if you don’t believe in BJYX, i think you can say that he has visited it and at the very least knows of it’s existence. I wonder what he saw tho. LOL. I would love to get more information on this account’s watch list and it’s just so funny to have some confirmation about one of his side accounts.

no i’m lying, there is another alleged side account from 2018. A weifen gave the tip ( allegedly lol i’m gonna use this word a lot ). It is also cleared but people did capture that he kept an eye out on XZ and XZS, and also liked a motorcycle video that was not really popular. So maybe someone who knows about the moto world would recognize. I just noticed the times both accounts were created. I don’t think WYB has the time to maintain his side accounts anymore with how busy he is but i imagine this gremlin having all the accounts and just looking at everything out there.

• I have always loved personal stories from turtles and while I am wary of some, there are ones that particularly make me soft. this one for example:

My uncle is the kind of staff who works with the crew, he is ten years into the circle. I usually ask him about gossip in the circle. This year (2019 ) I carefully asked Bojun Yixiao if it was real. Uncle said he didn't know them that well, but he knew that the relationship between the two is very good. It is said that WYB & XZ are modest and polite. They have no personality problem and have always been real and not fancy.

He also said (emphasis!) he will help me get Xiao Zhan’s autographed photo in October. The time was right to take advantage of the work appointment, and after the end of XZ’s work, he signed one, my uncle said that “my niece likes you two very much”. Xiao Zhan raised his head in a daze, and said, “huh” My Uncle was about to explain, Xiao Zhan laughed a bit and said, "Is it Wang Yibo?" Uncle also laughed.

What gets me in this is how XZ is confused then it immediately clicks for him — is it WYB? ☺️ I mean, granted that 2019 was such a big year for them as a pair and who could someone be referring to when talking about “you two..” This exchange ( true or not ) lives in my head rent free. and the fact that people in the industry have nothing to say but good things about them really says a lot.

• The COVID test schedules that were leaked actually showed it was the same date and time. down to the second 02:23:38. I know this is bad, people shouldn’t actively seek out things like this but my brain won’t let this piece of information go. 💀💀💀

• WYB’s “Changsha” residence when he was still actively working in TTXS was provided by Hunan TV network. It’s not his, it is located very close to the station to make it easier for him. Other staff also stayed in that same area. The candy is, XZ allegedly sends things to that address.

• This video and fake rumor that is going around recently. People are speculating that WYB’s reaction in this routine was because of something that happened and that the dancers are actually teasing him. The rumor is XZ visited the set of SDC and he was just lounging, WYB was there and was about to kiss him but some dancers saw them, and our boys ended up being embarrassed.

you can definitely give a more plausible explanation of why he reacted like this but that’s not the point of this whole post. it’s the cpn that could be connected to it. and i mean if had someone like XZ, the love of my life just lounging, looking all gorgeous — how can you blame WYB for wanting to kiss him 🥺

• I’m not really a kadian enthusiast like all the other BXGs but the recent 232323 timing is making me 👀. Yes we know you Love Zhan.

Time is 14:30, but it can be 2:30 so it keeps up with the 23. I think the reason why i’m drawn to this CPN is it was posted a day after the whole yibo relationship rumor. If you look at YBO’s page, after the post saying the rumor is fake, the next one is this. So it’s like saying, those rumors are false and I only love XZ. 23. 🤍

• the emoji similarities between xzs and ybo used in their douyin posts. not only that, it’s a match for ones during OOL ( Gu Wei ) and BAH ( Chen Wei ). I mean, do they ship them too?

• I don’t really believe in 🍉 unless they are about upcoming product endorsements cause I think those can be leaked by the brands themselves. but during HB’s initial run, there was one with 2m followers who shared that XZ bought multiple screening slots for the movie.

i assume u mean genderbend! and by that i'm gonna assume everyone with a binary gender switches to the other one (and laken stays genderqueer).

yes it actually changes quite a bit of kane's backstory and family relationships! this is something i've talked about a little when discussing a trans man kane au, but noble vampire society is absolutely drenched in TRADITIONAL GENDER ROLES. if kane and bellamy were both women (cis i assume), it'd change a lot!

kane would be even more outcast, but has a new avenue to acceptance: marry well. she would likely put more emphasis on this goal at first, but fail at that, since no high-status nobleman wants to go for a bride with no persuasion. failing that, kane would move on to plan B, which is kidnapping jim. (everyone would have different names but i'm not getting into that) things would mostly proceed as normal after that.

bellamy's hobbies (sewing, clothesmaking), unlike in canon, are gender conforming in this au, which makes her parents approve of her more. however she would be a lesbian, which her parents would not approve of. she also wouldn't be the heir, no longer being the eldest son, so there's a bit less fuss when she abandons the nobility.

jim & liz's stuff doesn't change as much, tho i'm sure their lives would be at least a little different. imagining liz as a big scary hunter man is kinda 😳😳😳... i'm very bisexual. liz is probably taken more seriously by his peers as a man, vampire hunting is mostly a male-dominated field.

kane's treatment in captivity would probably vary. there would be hunters less likely to hurt her because of not wanting to hurt a woman, and hunters more likely to hurt her because of an excuse to hurt a woman who can't fight back. i imagine it kind of evens out? tbh a lot of hunters prob wouldn't be moved either way, as vampires aren't thought of as "men" or "women" but as less than a person, a thing not thought of enough to be gendered.

assuming laken stays unchanged (being an amab genderqueer person) and liz is a cis man, them having kids goes differently. i do imagine that in canon they end up having a bio kid and an adopted kid (maybe more but at least those 2 i haven't ironed out the details yet), the adopted one being orphaned after their parents are taken by vampires. here, they would just have the adopted kid.
