I think Simon did the best he could with an aimless script 💀💀 the entire story seemed pretty pointless and idrk what Simon (tbe character) took away from it all

Well 💀 I hope he at least had finally something to write about 😅🙈 tbh I think the story had good potential, and I was anxiously waiting how is Simon's arc gonna develop, but it kind of didn't 🫥

Don’t know if you can read this but maybe this was a review I think kind of captured the feeling when watching.

I agree with this. It’s like we watching from outside and his speaker voice on everything is kind of neutral and indifferent. And so much is happening but as you say stereotypes, like when he announced he is moving out and one is lifting weights, it’s all white etc. The aesthetics is and filming tone is beautiful and tells the story but something makes it less griping than it could be. Can’t put my finger on it.

But Simon is definitely the main character and in like every frame, he did it well I think.

What kind of bugged me was that Simon's character was so neutral and retreated, lacking confidence and feeling lost, and I was anticipating his character arc and some change to go through him, which kind of happened, but seemed very internalised within him. I bet it was better visible in the book when you get to know characters thoughts and feelings, but if it was the case, it wasn't conveyed very well on the screen. It felt similar with Simon and Max romance story, I love a good love story but this one was missing some spark. It's a shame, the story had a great potential imo, but something hard to describe was missing. Simon did very well, but I feel it was the direction he got, that he didn't get to show off his full potential.

Yesterday Damon posted an auction of a print of one of his photos, and the photo was very similar to one from Omar's photoshoot, they were both wearing white CK underwear only and standing in similar pose. In this ig post author put both next to each other for comparison I guess. I don't even know who the other guy in the photo was 🤷‍♀️ Damon removed the story now so don't really wanna post it here. //

tbf felix isn’t active at all and even hugo appears to be offline these days so it makes sense that they would miss the posts, plus zed and simon don’t even follow each other. and even if the public likes aren’t there they really don’t mean there was a falling out or whatever. for all we know (which is nothing 💀💀) the friend group probably texted/called/privately hung out in congrats (which is VERY plausible)

Wellll both Hugo and Felix liked some of Omar's latest posts so not sure... But let's hope he's had some support from his friends.

I'm glad you loved it! I've watched it last night and the story was really interesting but for me, execution felt a bit flat. I don't know if it was the visuals or direction, but it just didn't invest me like I was hoping it will. Like some emotions were missing? I think I was expecting a little more. Again I also don't think it was on Simon, but I found acting underwhelming... I think it was again either direction or overall atmosphere of the film, but most of characters felt stereotypical and one-dimensional. Simon did well, but to be perfectly honest, I liked him much better in his other projects. I enjoyed it overall, but I was expecting more I think. Hilda's appek. Hilda's appearance was unexpected 😅 that was a nice little easter egg 😁
