#24.2 Endorsi vs Bam

Endorsi was unsatisfied by the match's result with Grace.

She took a lot of pride in her physical strength, as Jahad princesses should. Yet her attacks were so easily countered. And it wasn't only by Grace, but also Mask in their mock battle last week and their tag game earlier.

She definitely wasn't a procrastinator like the sleepyhead, but she also wasn't a workaholic like a certain swordsman. Yet since Mask showed up, she began questioning whether she had slacked off on training that much.

Her mock battle with Mask had ended with her defeat. But to be fair, she didn't exactly dress up properly for training, and Mask broke her heel and threw her off. Plus, he was smart enough to not block her kicks, as he resorted to dodging and redirecting the impact. And she would've gotten him earlier at the tag game if he wasn't so slippery.

However, it was different with Grace. It was as if he was making fun of her, with how easily he handled her attacks.

He saw through her needles and rendered them useless. He blocked her shinsu-reinforced kicks and without even breaking his stance. Most regulars would have suffered broken bones if they did that.

And despite everything, she knew that Grace was still holding back because he never actively aimed his bangs at her. 

She heard that Grace was also an irregular, and every irregular in the tower beforehand was blessed with power, so maybe she shouldn't be that surprised with the outcome.

That train of thought resurfaced her questions about a certain irregular's growth, which Endorsi had been itching to know ever since he was revealed to be alive.

Endorsi raised her hand, scanning at the audience area, "I request a match with Bam next."

Bam froze when everyone stared at him. It took a few beats for him to reply. "Alright."

Bam made his way to the training area, switching places with Grace. Grace gave Bam a pat on his shoulder and said, "Do your best," which was quite ironic coming from him.

Endorsi wasn't expecting much, so she suggested the same rule as she did with Grace. "Everything but reverse flow control is allowed. What do you think?"

"No problem."

Bam got into his stance, as the speedster guy went to collect the wrinkled paper from across the room in just a blink. Endorsi lowered herself, muscles tensed and ready to lunge forward.

"Ready? Five minutes. Start!"

Endorsi immediately lunged forward with a kick, and Bam responded by blocking it, mirroring what Grace did.

However, the impact sent him flying across the room and slamming into the barrier with quite a force.

Oops.

Maybe she should have gone gentler on him. Though deep down she felt somewhat relieved to know that her kick still worked.

From the corner of her eye, she noticed that Khun and Rak had stood up from their seats, looking worried and angry. They were clearly about to run to check on Bam, but Grace held them back.

Bam collected himself and stood up, teeth clenched in pain while holding one broken arm. Two bangs were summoned above him. Endorsi caught a glimpse of the third one, but it failed to form.

She jumped away to avoid the blast, but Bam didn't let a second go to waste. He reformed another bang while he shot the other, easily controlling her movement and stalling time.

She needed to close their distance if she wanted to win.

She threw a few needles at Bam, thinking that Bam would aim his bangs to block them like Grace did, or at least to get him distracted and cease fire.

However, Bam still kept shooting his bangs at her while he dodged her needles. Clearly, she was underestimating him. Bam could have won were his aim not all over the place, though she also couldn't tell whether it was deliberate or not.

Five minutes went too fast, and the match ended with another draw. But this time, she felt slightly better, having someone else that was on par against her. Neither a boring easy win nor a humiliating loss.

Though she also realized that Bam had changed a lot from the last time they met. He had grown, but so had their distance. It was as if he was a complete stranger now.

There was no longer joy in his laugh, nor bright sunshine when he smiled. His posture was no longer unguarded, and his eyes had dimmed.

But…back when they were having lunch earlier, she could still see glimpses of Bam. His soft voice, his politeness, his lack of common sense. The person that everyone adored and missed dearly.

She wanted to climb with him and get to know him again.

What is Bucket Boy? (Synopsis Time!)

BBtH is about an unlucky but hardworking janitor (with a bucket stuck on his head) that one day defeats a powerful villain... by cleaning him up. Now suddenly he's hired to fight crime all over town and people think he's a hero! (He doesn't think he's a hero, though. He thinks he's just bucket boy).

He works at a place called D'Office, which deals with superhero issues of all kinds! (applications, villain jobs, statistics, etc.) Unfortunately the higher ups there are also kind of jerks!

Some notable characters include:

Paper Mache Girl: Bucket Boy's best -and kind of chaotic- best friend! She doesn't work at D'Office.

Janet the Pin Cushion Lady: The shy secretary lady! She might have a crush on Bucket Boy. Maybe.

Dan the Janitor: The direct contrary to Bucket Boy, Dan is a very lucky (and happy-go-lucky) guy! Also contrary to Bucket Boy, he is very plain.

Rick (the Mug Guy): A grumpy 9-5 D'Office worker. 95% of the time he's pissed off about something (usually Bucket Boy). People don't like to talk to him.

Da Big Boss: As his name implies, he's the boss of D'Office and runs everything behind the scenes! For this reason his face is never seen. But though he seems grand all the time he actually completely sucks. People never say anything about this though, as they'd prefer to keep their jobs.

Anna Gems: A hoity toity rich lady who is also affiliated with D'Office, though she doesn't work there. She has a gem as a head, tiny glasses, and her favorite pastime is insulting the lower D'Office workers.

Rubber Band Bro: He's Rubber Band Bro!!!

Sampo looked up from his cup of coffee. It was bitter, with no sugar and some milk. His eyes study the Vidyadhara's form. Dan Heng seemed unsure. Nervous. Most likely from the question he proposed and from the eventual answer he'd get. Sampo looked at his coffee once more. Taking note how it was in a perfect light brown color. Which could fool anyone into thinking it could be sweet.

He imagines this is the same for the Nameless standing before him.

"If it's not something you chose to be, then yes." He said softly. "I can't stand in the way of your growth. Growth is important, things can't stay stagnant. But if it's out of your control, not something you chose to be, I will."

And that is his answer on the matter. Of course he couldn't imagine that that's not at all what Dan Heng meant. Personal growth wasn't the problem. But the feeling was all the same there. Should Dan Heng ever clarify things.

THE MYSTERY TWINS ⇆ THE ORIGINAL MYSTERY TWINS

Stanley and Stanford Pines take on the roles of Dipper and Mabel! Stan's curious and is the more mystery focussed one whereas Ford is more energetic and active than his base counterpart.

Stanley is an adventurous young boy, looking for the next interesting trip to go on, initially thinking spending the summer at Levity Rises was going to be a waste of time. Though after arriving and finding the scrapbooks alongside the anomalies happening across Levity, he and his brother quickly became obsessed with finding out the secrets of the Rises, as well as who the mysterious Smile Pup(swapped with bill cypher) is.

Ford (often going by 'Six' or 'Sixer) is a happy go lucky and optimistic young child who is alot tougher than his base counterpart was at his age. Since it's typically only just been him and his brother, so he's eager to make the best of his summer by meeting new people, though he hides his polydactyly with gloves he changes frequently.

DIPPER ⇆ STANLEY

Dipper takes the role of Grunkle Stan in this au!

Owner of the mystery shack, Grunkle Mason- or (Big) Dipper to people around Levity Rises- is the resident faux scientist of the town. His personality is more eccentric, tending to get hyper fixated on paranormal paraphernalia, to the point in where he does lock himself away for periods at a time.

Not much is known about his origins, he just kind of always existed on the outsidea of the town, but after opening the shack to the public, people quickly accepted his presence due to his quirky personality.

MANLY DAN ⇆ SOOS

Dan actually takes the role of Soos in this au, being the resident handyman of the mystery shack! Though often the lines blur between his role and Wendy's from the original. Wanted to keep it flexible yk?

Dan's a real dude's bro, pretty dim witted and blunt but often chill and level headed- Unless he's challenged- dude's competitive as hell, it's actually crazy. His mother, dubbed 'womanly wendy', is the toughest lady in town, owning a diner, aptly named 'Wendy's'.

Dan enjoys working at the Shack as it's one of the few places that'll let him freely experiment with his logging with the nearby trees for his own projects and adding fixtures onto the shack, which Dipper is pretty thankful for since he can focus his efforts on other things. It's also because of this reason that Dipper puts up with Dan's outbursts and semi airheaded personality. So it's safe to say, he's there the majority of the time.

Stan admires Danny alot and the events of 'Into the bunker' happens with Dan in place of Wendy. This does mean Stan had a passing crush on Danny during the episode, but even afterwards Stan kind of puts him on a pedestal. Ford enjoys Dan's company often being called 'little man' and playfighting on occasion. The twins act like his little hype men and he enjoys hanging with them.

As for Soos in this au, he initially built the mystery shack and is frequently seen around Levity Rises taking on odd jobs and making people as happy as they can be, though it's implied that he hasn't found his true calling yet.

LAZY SUZAN ⇆ WENDY

Lazy Suzan takes the role of Wendy in this au! Hazy Jane is a part time worker at the mystery shack, and is stan's first crush upon arrival to the Rises. She's a bit of an odd soul with a less than perfect memory, but is incredible at making a homely environment for the shack. Despite that, she can be extremely co-dependent in some situations, especially with her boyfriend. Otherwise she's earnest and does her best at her job. The events of 'Soos and the real girl' occur with Jane instead of Soos (and Rumble instead of GIFanny). Despite wanting to help, Stan is incredibly pouty throughout the episode.

Gopher Wood didn’t gentle parent her or Sunday so she had to do it herself 💀)

Sunday

Often kisses you with his eyes wide open. Like WIDE OPEN. You don’t realise at first because you’re normal and close your eyes when you kiss, but once you do realise, kissing him will never be the same
