Finally getting this piece into a wood kiln. While I was working on my body cast pieces I realized that those pregnancy casts people charge an arm and a leg for are nothing but plaster wrap and really aren’t a casting. They are the mold and don’t show the true beauty of the body. I decided I wanted to do a pregnancy belly cast right, really do it justice. Only took a couple of years to find a willing pregnant friend. Bump casting (38 weeks)

I’m so glad I found the time last week to make my second bump casting, the weeks just seem to be flying by at the moment.

This time I decided to make a mould of my just my belly (bump), I found this so much easier to make myself compared to my first attempt of casting my torso. I also made less mess, which meant less clean up! 🙌🏽
