#i canttt do this. i love betty and simon so much this new view on their dynamic makes me feel crazy#its undoubtedly like a strange power dynamic that simon is unaware of (heees kind of dumb but not a bad person by any means) that drives-#-betty to act how she does with him at first. like her perfect idolized interaction with a author she loves dearly#and for her to put aside her life like that for him in this manic sort of perfect scenario shes so enthralled by#gah i live them so much. simon being unaware of this and it damaging their relationship in the future unknowingly#she gives so much man. not to say simon doesn't i think hes just as great a lover as betty wanted but betty has this endlessness to her-#-devoting her time and her life and her dreams to this perfect world she gets to live in now#i do think she relaxes with it further into their relationship when she feels less like she has to be cool or prove herself to someone she-#-idolizes. and that they get better and closer and more equal (i say theyre never truly equal considering it revolves around simons whims)-#betty really learns to love for that period of their life. for however long it takes them to get to 'fianceès' its really their perfect life#and then everything happens. the crown. the portal. the war. the world ending. ice king. betty in ooo. and its all ruined again and she cant#acess simon so he is again returned to this state of a forbidden person she desperately chases and gives up her life for. she regresses to-#-when their dynamic was unknown woman and author she loves dearly appearing before her eyes#and that unnatainable aspect is what drives her insane. she cant do anything this time. he doesnt even know who *he* is. its hopeless#her trying to date ice king and freaking out about it because this perfect picture is gone and she doesnt /like/ him like this#agh. bety. siom#fionna and cake spoilers#fionna and cake#talking2myself

Knitting is singlehandedly destroying my wrists, so I need to replace its role with another creative hobby. Please give me any suggestions you may have!
Requirements are:
-Can't destroy my wrists further, at least not as fast as knitting does
-Should be reasonably inexpensive and not too daunting to start
-Calming would be nice
-Textile arts are a plus :)
-Obscure is welcome
#please i know someone here knows some obscure creative thing that wont destroy my wrists#my problem is that i love knitting but i recognize that destroying my wrists at the ripe age of 22 isnt great#but i know that to stop doing knitting i need to replace it with something because knitting is a big thing for me#i knit in a lot of my free time bcuz if i want to watch something i need to do something else alongside#otherwise i cant concentrate#so ill watch a lot of Dimension 20. or rn im listening to an unknown armies actual play. or podcasts#i listened to almost all of tma while knitting#if i don't knit i won't really be able to focus on any of these things anymore which will make me want to push through and do it anyway#please lmk your ideas. i have two projects to finish that will probably be slow going#and then I'm probably going to have to more or less retire my needles#i just like being creative and making things too much

Melli in the gear station family au is like that one lovingly overbearing family member who comes to see you at your job and tell you that you're doing a great job, except he needs an excuse to tell Akari & Rei their doing a great job so part of his getting lost is intentional and part of it is genuinely accidental (hc he has an absolutely terrible sense of direction and gets lost in a straight line, Zoro from one piece style) so when they find him and help him he's like "you two are SO GOOD at your jobs, the BEST employees here, honestly" and like half of the ten most recent gear station reviews are from Melli praising Akari and Rei.
Ingo and Emmet ask them if he needs to be banned from the subway and the younger twins are like "no, he's fine. Embarrassing but he means well and it's all good." (They have a hunch that Melli Knows Them which is why the kids are fine with hanging around him and helping him, but also all three of them are so at ease with each other that they had to ask just to Make Sure everything was fine even though they were Pretty Sure there was no issue)

(He brings that up when he wants to tease them)#The gear station crew is initially suspicious of him (why is this Unknown Man being so friendly towards the kiddos?)#Until Melli was intentionally overly obnoxious one day to a commuter who'd been giving the twins a hard time#Approached the person to talk LOUDLY about his own hair and treating his hair stylist so good bc he's so greatful for their hard work#Can you IMAGINE bring on your feet all day and having to deal with assholes who think they can do your job???#Or who get upset when one little thing goes wrong? That's why MELLI is ALWAYS so thankful to his hairstylist and doesn't give them shit#Esp when the hairstylist is running late or dealing with some sort of UNEXPECTED PROBLEM that they're WORKING ON FIXING#Obv Melli can wait a lil bit!!! Bc his hairstylist is a person too!!! And he certainly couldn't do their job!!!#And then he 'gets on the phone's and starts talking about how he's so grateful that people are SO PATIENT when there's an issue that#Employees can't immediately solve. Can you imagine being the kind of asshole that acts like a machine's fault that causes a delay#Has been intentionally done by the employees? Purely to inconvenience them???#While he's saying this he's making eye contact with the asshole commuter who squirms and eventually goes to apologize for being so short#And grumpy w the twins. And the gear station crew is like. 'ah. This man is One Of Us.'

see now i have even more questions about how the monster world functions if there are in fact still functioning scare companies (and it seems like laugh power hasn't really caught on yet) like, not only are they dealing with the need to create a massive cultural shift in the human world so kids won't be afraid of them, but like. it's not even a consistent shift. some kids are still getting scared by monsters. probably most kids are. so you now have to convince them you're not scary while they probably know another kid who has been tormented by monsters. and you gotta make them laugh

i think it's beautiful how different everyone is and how we can all work together in our own little ways to help each other out but the fact that it's so easy to feel ashamed of your own difference makes me so sad
#like you can feel alienated SO easily even though everyone is technically an alien to each other#in the sense that we're all different and unknown to the other#becahse it is kinda impossible to know someone fully like completely#only you yourself would know#and sometimes even you might not#idk if this makes sense i just feel really. sad i guess#because even after everything we rarely ever celebrate different and only try our hardest to like#force people to always be a certain way experience the same things#even though that's literally not how life works#this is not to say that i'm against community! pls don't take it that way#shared experiences and even just in general friends and community are great#(lmao this sounds like i'm talking about the TV shows)#but like y'know?#in life in general i wish feeling different was a good thing#i don't want to feel ashamed of being different becahse i An different#and that's okay#and everyone else is different too and that's great#this has just been bothering me a lot lately#zzz#ok to rb#it's not a rant just me thinking thoughts
