LOVE ships that are best friends first and lovers second. childhood friends to lovers is my absolute shit. i know everyone loves enemies to lovers rivals to lovers whatever but i love people who just know each other inside and out. who, when they’re together, are still silly and friendly first and foremost. the type of relationship that can have slap fights and know every single intimate detail about each other. who are constantly glued together and sometimes speak at the same time like freaky twins in a horror movie. i love friendship as a deep aspect of love u bitches js don’t get it

I will never make this because it would be for an audience of one (me) but ever since reading "If we Were Villains" (story about serious drama kids in college who perform shakespeare and deal with a murder) I have been entertaining the thought of a crack fic crossover with High School Musical The Musical The Series where the staff decides they will no longer put on shakespeare after the tragic accident that happened at Thanksgiving, because Shakespeare plays would only increase the tension and drama. So they hire Ms. Jen who decides their spring play will actually be High School Musical (which exists in the 90s in this universe) and it ruins the vibe so much that everyone gives up on being dark and mysterious because they're universally pissed at Ms Jen for making them learn choreoraphed basketball dancing.

Ik that most ppl just call the kinds of ships I like enemies to lovers because there’s not really a term for it- but I cannot take it! They’re not enemies! They’re on the same side, same team, they have the same friends! They just BICKER. They just have opposite aesthetics at best. They flirt by teasing each other, there’s tension when they argue, and sometimes they CLAIM that they hate each other but at the end of the day there’s respect and even possibly friendship! Sometimes the bickering isn’t even that serious, it’s often very playful! The tension typically comes from the fact that one or both members of the ship are usually in denial of their feelings, or outside forces make it harder for them to see a future with each other, or because they’re just stupid! Not betrayal or murder or war. If these characters were in a fantasy au where they had to be in a battle- they’d be fighting along side each other! They’d just bitch about it! They’re not enemies!

S1 duncney were not enemies! They were on the same team and often led said team together. Yeah they argued, but they were at their best when they both put in the effort to win a challenge together. Now if we’re talking AFTER the break up- an enemies to lovers arc would be juicy. Sypha and Trevor were not enemies, they were on the same quest and frankly it did not even take them that long to like each other romantically either. Han and Leia were not enemies, they were both quite literally on the same side of the war. No version of beauty and the beast that I’ve ever enjoyed counts as enemies either. Harry and Sally were never enemies. Darcy and Lizzie were not enemies. Caitlyn and Vi are not enemies!

there's this reddit post that's haunted me for years about a person who had everything in life (a spouse they loved, kids, just got promoted at work, owned a home, something along those lines) and yet still felt unfulfilled. And ALLLLL the comments were about how this person should transition, that "is this really it?" feeling apparently being very common among a lot of trans folks

For actual years, ever since I saw it, whenever I would start to question things that post would pop into my head, and however miserable I was, I would think "Well I don't have that 'something is missing' feeling so clearly I'm cis" and just forget about it

I realized when I think back to my happiest point in life I lived every day constantly thinking that if I died the next I would be content because those few months of joy were enough to make up for everything else

Yeah, in hindsight if I was still ready to die at my happiest, I think there was something missing
