I dunno why when it's radiostatic then I'm either indifferent or sometimes, rarely as it is, even like top!Alastor but when it's radioapple then even a thought about top!Alastor and bottom!Lucifer makes me wanna to gouge my eyes out haha

Samsies, Anon XD When it comes to radiostatic, I don't mind top!Alastor. I've actually like it on a few occasions of Alastor domming Vox. It's delicious. It's exquisite. Very yummy.

I think its the fandom-wide depiction of top!Alastor and bottom!Lucifer that turns me off from that dynamic. With Vox, Alastor gets to be more himself. He's not turned into this super suave alpha male dude (probs because Vox already fits that bill LMAO). Alastor gets to keep his fun and silly characteristics. I've seen more fan art of Alastor in a dress in radiostatic than radioapple, and I would like to thank the radiostatic community for contributing to my health. Thank you for putting my pookie in a dress, he looks amazing and beautiful just like he should.

And Vox gets to be his silly self too. He's still a boyfail. He's a mess. He's suave and charming, but obsessive and goofy at the same time. They match each other's freak.

From what I've seen, radiostatic typically feels closer to their canon counterparts than a lot of radioapple, which might be why I've been so drawn to radiostatic lately.

Their dynamic is so much more complicated and interesting than a lot of radioapple too, which is INSANE because Lucifer is literally the King of Hell, a prideful son of bitch, and an insecure, depressed mess who's been shown to despise Sinners. Alastor is a silly, girlpop, murderous Overlord who's rise to power is a mystery to EVERYONE (that should've been also impossible considering the assumption that he killed the other Overlords), he had an immediate dislike towards Lucifer that was never explained or expanded on, AND he's slowly been driven to (more) insanity because someone owns his soul, and that someone could very well be Lilith, Lucifer's ex-wife. THESE TWO ARE SUCH TASTY, COMPLICATED CHARACTERS AND RADIOAPPLE SHOULD BE THE TASTIEST OF SHIPS.

And yet, they're starting to feel like the oatmeal of ships. Bland and boring.

Don't get me wrong, I DO like radioapple. I do. I promise. I wouldn't be writing radioapple fanfic if I didn't. But it is hard to find enjoyment in the ship when most of what I see turns the characters into tropes and caricatures that strip them of all their tastiest qualities.

you and chris are sat on a stack of hay on the hayride. it's crowded with other couples along with families with young kids. soft laughter from children fills the air, an autumn breeze washing over the atmosphere.

you sit with your head on chris' shoulder, his arm is draped across your back, resting on your head as he rubs it gently. he loves this. he doesn't care who's looking at you two, he's not and has never been embarrassed to show his love for you in public.

you smile, picking your head up suddenly to look at chris before speaking, "now i get why matt loves fall so much."

chris chuckles, "why's that?" he asks, looking at you intently. your hair blows in the crisp wind and chris moves a strand out of your face as you speak, "it's like...i dunno," you shrug. "the vibes are so good."

chris smiles at your words as the hayride comes to a stop in front of the apple orchard, "yeah, fall's cool," chris says, standing up with you and taking his hand in yours gently, letting other passengers get off the hayride with their kids first.

chris walks down the stairs of the hayride, holding his hand out for you to take when he gets to the ground with a smile. you smile warmly back at him, holding it gently as you walk down the stairs and next to him on the ground. "thank you," you giggle, beaming at him as he gives your hand a slight squeeze and a smirk, "'course."

you and chris walk around the orchard together hand in hand, gazing at all the apples on the many trees. you both pick a few, tossing them into your bags each of you hold.

chris holds a red apple up to his lips that he had just picked off a tree with a smirk at you and you chuckle, "you're gonna eat that right off the tree?"

chris scoffs, "um yeah? you don't eat the apples as you pick them?" he says slightly sassy.

you cross your arms with a chuckle, "i mean...aren't they dirty?"

chris shrugs, not caring about whether they're dirty or not. he sinks his teeth into the apple, taking a bite and chewing it before humming and throwing his head back at the taste, "baby, ya gotta try it," he says with his mouth full.

i laugh at his reaction, my mind going elsewhere before i snap out of my thoughts, "it's that good?"

chris nods eagerly, holding the bitten apple up to my mouth and i slightly frown in disgust, looking at him, then back at the apple. "just take a bite, y/n," chris says intently.

you sigh, biting into the apple in his hands before he pulls it away. you chew, widening your eyes at how good it tastes. "wow. actually really good," you say.

chris chuckles, nodding before we walk to another tree, slinging his arm around my shoulders. "i told ya."

#this has been happening for like TWO YEARS BUT I SWEAR TO GOD I AM TRYING.#my usual art motivation (my webcomic idea) has been put on hold for a bit and because of that i forgort... everything #my will to draw specifically #but in my defense i have been writing k*arlach / oc indulgences and i've been VERY focused on finishing it #i also got a marketing manager (my friend <3) to help with advertising my comms and stuff so uh... look forward 2 that #i might need to start posting all of my art on a sideblog so she doesn't have to log into my main though #so there might be some changes #but i promise i want to do art!!!! but there's always something to do first and then months pass :(#or i get the urge to draw and then life is like ''have a cancer scare'' lmao...#(ended up being cancerous actually </3 but because it's skin stuff it was easy to remove)#(but that really took the piss out of me for most of july... not to mention that ffxiv released a new expansion and i have been...#having a good time with my new friends doing content and stuff!) i also made a friend irl after like 3-4 years of total isolation #we feed ants and watch them move around together and comment on their behaviour patterns...#but like when i say this takes literal hours.#we just sit out there and talk about random shit and watch ants walk across the floor. both of us hate ants btw.#like we don't like having them ON us so it's a bit like playing with fire.#but anyways yeah i've also been really low energy recently too bc of the heat and burnout from college...#but the good news is that i'm transferring in fall to a much more relaxing college & courseload!#i'm hoping it'll stop me from feeling so... awful ?? i guess ??#like i was taking classes i didn't need to that were really difficult & punishing #not to mention extremely boring & hard to pay attention to when dealing with literally anything. i did not want to be there.#my next college is much more interest-oriented so i will finally be able to take classes i want to and learn from them...!#and then maybe i will feel a bit more in control of my life / more encouraged to draw #anyways thank u for reading my ramble. hoping it all comes together soon.#i need to do a lot of work but most of it is so i can sell commissions again #but once the karlach fic is done we're so back on the webcomic train !!!!!!!!

I dont think at this point i can even start on classic literature if i tried, like, i have absolutely zero patience for stories that take their goddamn time "building up" to things. "give exposition talk and show your characters doing everyday things" girl only if the everyday things contribute to the theme of the story! I dont have an ounce of interest in traditional idle starting points, "this story takes awhile to warm up and nothing happens for 45 pages" lmao bye

#I used to think my attention span has gotten worse and i can't focus enough to get through books #but turns out people are just boring writers lmao #i love it when a story starts right off the bat. Dont beat around the bush;#just tell me the fucking story i have never heard of ''build up''#i dont wait for a narrative to come around the story has approximately 1 to 4 minutes to catch my attention or i'm out #my brother is always like ''nooo give this thing a chance it's gonna get better'' nah. if it's good it's good from the very beginning #in the first 5 minutes of Gotham TV you get two children's reaction to murder; utter freeze and ear shattering scream #it immediately swts the scene. you're IN the story the narrative has already started #in the first 5 minutes of Shameless US Ian is outed to the family's possible most homophobic little dude #it literally shocks you out of your skin and you're like ''oh okay!! alright; i'm awake now!''#it's not that i can't get into 570k books anymore; it's that people who write long narratives usually meander and stale so goddamn much #and dont say anything at all and the pace is hella slow #and i need a good captivating opening #this post brought to you by me rewatching Samurai Champloo #opening with a disclaimer reading ''this work is not an accurate historical portrayal. like we care. now shut up and enjoy the show.''#immediately followed by two enemy samurais executed together. like fuuuuuck this opening sequence is so sexy!!!!#i'm one of the people very much in favour of 45-episode shows being cut down to 8 or twelve #if done right #because i only want the essential plot and i love a fast paced story #no.1 hater of ''mandatory beach episode'' here #stick to the fucking plot and pack it!!!

#not sure if i talked about this here yet but I'm a recovering nail/cuticle biter #and last fall i started getting gel manicures to incentivize me to stop so i wouldnt be wasting my money lol #and it WORKED. because i got really really into nail and cuticle care #so now my nails are grown out and my nail beds have completely reattached #i have normal nails now and you could never tell i used to demolish them #i spent my ENTIRE LIFE with stubby little bitten nails and gross ripped up dried cuticles #and now i have BEAUTIFUL natural nails #except for the damage i accumulated from the gel removal over seven months lolllllll #so recently i stopped getting gel and i switched to regular lacquer #at first i was still going in to my nail tech but then i started taking the polish off in between appointments and practicing on my own #and in just a couple weeks i was good enough that i just stopped going in!#i just do my own nails now!!!#it takes me four hours to do it right lmao but its worth it because it's been a week and they're still perfect #only one tiny chip and NO LIFTING #im gonna take it off and redo it with a new color today because I'm bored of this color #but i could probably keep wearing this for another week and it'd hold up #I can't take all the credit because I'm using the Dazzle Dry system and just switching out the color with ILNP lol #Dazzle Dry is another fucking level omg #but anyway. I'm proud of myself #my nails look just as good as when i was getting them done professionally 😭#i am NOT a girly girl i don't wear makeup or shave a single part of my body #i get my hair cut specifically in a way that requires minimal styling #so the nail obsession isn't something anyone would have expected from me...#and yet my nails are always immaculate nowadays 💅
