chan loves to help you paint your nails.

you are sitting on the sofa, chewing on your lip in concentration. in your non-dominant hand, you shakily hold the brush, attempting to make the paint come out smooth and professional. you would've gotten them done at a nail salon, but you've just been so busy...and what was so hard about doing it yourself? hell, if your boyfriend did his own, you'd be fine.

you are, in fact, not fine, because it looks like the remnants of a paintball massacre are splayed over your hands. it is so damn frustrating.

"baby, i'm home!" chan says eagerly, throwing open the door. "god, today was so long...i'm so happy to be home with you."

he sees you on the couch and absolutely melts. he hasn't even noticed your dismay. his coffee-colored eyes are swimming with adoration. just seeing you, even for a minute or two, is enough to make his day.

he sets his things down swiftly, coming to bombard you with kisses, but stops abruptly when you try your best to signal that your hands are full and your nails are far from dry. instead, he settles for using one hand to maneuver your head so he can press a soft kiss to your lips.

it's gentle and romantic, and he savors the display of intimacy until it feels like eons have passed by, and his long eyelashes flutter open and a dazzling smile stretches across his face. his lips part, as if he's about to bless you with some lovely hymn, and then his eyes fall to your hands, splattered with nail polish.

his trademark squeaky laugh can be heard reverberating through the home.

"awww, do you need some help?" he giggles, his hands trailing down your body until he reaches your own hands, and he takes the brush from you. "may i?"

here you are now, sitting cross-legged on the floor across from chan as he expertly paints your nails one by one, blowing on them when needed and using a small cotton swab to dab at the parts that he messed up on. once he's done, he admires his work.

"absolutely lovely. it's so good on you, babe." he compliments wholeheartedly, leaning in to place a quick peck upon your nose. "i mean...you can pull off everything, since you're so stunning. so damn ethereal. but this is just your color, you know?"

you look away, knowing you're getting flustered by his words.

"hey, keep those pretty eyes on me." he murmurs, his arm wrapping around you, his hand rubbing gentle circles upon your soft skin. "we still have to paint mine so we can match!"

so i've never been into any of the hair and nails stuff (got my nails done professionally once in middle school, got sick of em after a week and ripped em all off) so i don't know how correct the lingo is, i kinda just went based off what i know from my sister, so i hope you enjoy :D

Warning: this post contains yandere-themes, including a small bit of delusional behavior, a small bit of obsessive behaviors, no specific pronouns used for the reader but a lot of mentions of reader having their hair/nails/lashes being done, and the rest is just sorta soft. Please read at your own risk!

Yandere!Zhongli, if you think this man has the mora to pay for anything you’re funny. There is an upside to this though, while he can’t pay to have you get your nails and hair done, or your lashes or for whatever else you wanna get, he can learn to do it for you. Hair and lashes take him a while as they can be more finicky but nails he picks up instantly. Not only is it cheaper but you can describe to him exactly what you want and he’ll be able to do it because he understands you and knows what you mean when you describe things. Plus you don’t have to worry about looking good when you get them done, you can just hang around in your pajamas until everything is finished.

Zhongli listened as you described the design you wanted on your nails, sorting through the assortment of polishes he had collected over his time with you. He’d do anything to please you, and while he couldn’t pay for the things you loved, he could certainly learn to do it for you. He understood wanting to maintain a certain image to the public but he’ll always insist that you look your best when you’re just you. When your hair hasn’t been done in a while, no fake lashes, and when your nails are just painted, no extra things on it. He doesn’t mind appearances, finding that he’s lived too long to base his relationship off something as simple as that, but he does appreciate both sides of you. While he’ll gladly chat about things while he does your nails or gossip while he does your hair, he’ll occasionally remind you that regardless of how you look, he’s always going to love you.

Yandere!Ayato is on top of it, like he schedules and pays for everything. He hires only the best and has them come to you, so that you can get the proper treatment you deserve in the comfort of the Kamisato Estate. You have personal stylists who do your nails, your hair, lashes, wardrobe updates, anything you want and they can do it. They also have some of the hottest gossip about the happenings in Inazuma, giving a proper salon treatment everytime they’re around.

You weren’t sure how Ayato made time to always schedule your appointments and such, keeping more on top of them than you did some days, but you weren’t about to complain about it. Your nail tech and hair stylist were amazing at their jobs, catering to your every whim and doing a phenomenal job at that, like they were born for this kind of work. The stories they brought with them were always just as great, the latest happenings around the city and the nation as a whole, who was doing what now and such on and so forth. Ayato would come to check in on you occasionally throughout your appointment, checking that everything was going well. And of course, when it’s done he expects you to come to his office and show off. He doesn’t care if you interrupt anything, to him you’re his top priority always. Plus he loves to see his darling all dolled up, feeling like the prettiest person in all of Inazuma. In his opinion, you always are, dolled up or not.

Yandere!Pantalone appreciates your intense take on your looks as appearances are a huge thing in his line of work, both on the business aspect and the intimidation aspect. He wants people to see that his accumulated wealth doesn’t go to waste, that he didn’t work for nothing. No, he uses his mass amount of mora to spoil his beloved, someone he has no problem writing checks or opening his wallet for. Anyone else can mind their own, his money is yours. The only downside to this is that he’s a horribly busy man, he’ll find whatever stylists you want and find some way to bring them to the Palace so you can have your appointments in the security of the Harbingers, but it’s up to you to schedule the appointments and keep track of when you’ll need to see them again. Just make sure you tell him when they are when you go to flaunt your new hairstyle and nail’s to him.

Pantalone’s soft smile spread just a bit farther across his face as you came bounding into his office, a bright smile of your own. You had just gotten your hair done and nails touched up and he could tell you were back to feeling like yourself again. While he appreciated all your looks and sides, he loved seeing you smiling and happy, and if that meant spending all this money for you to get pampered, he didn’t mind. He didn’t understand a lot of the words you used as you described what they did to your hair and nails, but he happily listened anyway, his delicate smile never faltering as you retold the whole chain of events. Even if his smile was often for show, when you were around it was never more genuine. He holds your hands in his larger, gloved ones as he looks over your nails, his fingers lightly tracing over the designs with an amused glimmer in his eyes. You were certainly something, and he intended to keep that bright light of yours shining.

Novel I have the funniest story

So I have Discord, right? And recently, my mobile Discord notifications haven't been sending. I don't know why, I have all the permissions turned on, but it won't work—whatever, right? As long as I check my phone regularly, right?

And it's been a really good day! I got the highest grade on my essay, I totally nailed a presentation, I made my favorite soup for dinner—a great day. It's around 6:50 PM and I'm cradling my soup in one hand on the couch, just relaxing from the day. It's my first break from homework for a while, and I'm enjoying it. I decide to share the positivity in one of my group chats on Discord with my close friends. So I send "@everyone love you" and I close Discord, thinking nothing else. I finish my soup, I do the dishes, and I go upstairs to play some video games on my computer.

All the while, I haven't checked my phone. I don't have Discord open on my PC, and I've been trying to cut my hours on my phone to focus on the real world (aka touching grass). I play a game, and while I'm waiting for another player to take their turn, I check my phone because I'm bored.

Strangely, I have one notification. I don't recognize what app it's from, but it looks like a text or call. I unlock my phone to check and find out it's my friend Catherine calling me on Whatsapp. Strange, right? We only use Whatsapp for sending videos that are too big for other applications and for when my internet kills Discord. (For context, Catherine is my best friend and basically the Novel to my Ritz. Also, my wifi is awful—probably why I've been struggling to receive notifications)

I think the call is weird, especially since there were no Whatsapp texts accompanying it. I try to call Catherine back, but she doesn't pick up. I reason as to why she did it—most likely I didn't respond to Discord fast enough so she tried to get my attention elsewhere. That makes sense, we do it all the time to each other. So I go and check Discord.

It opens to the channel I left it on, where I pinged my friends and told them love you. I notice I had 6 DMS, but I noticed my friends had replied and I was curious to see how they were. had already forgotten I did that, to be honest, so I go and read the responses. Let me just:

Do you get your nails done?

I'm not a girly girl, so I've never wore make up (unless face paint for Halloween or something) I don't feel like I need to, just look at my profile pic just a little spot treatment on the random pimple, and I'm good! But I've also never liked nail polish on my nails it's always been uncomfy for my hands, I always feel the polish like I have weights on my finger tips. (I also used to be a nail biter.) But my cousin came over the other day and she had french tip nails and they looked so pretty!! I always loved the French tip. So I went a picked up a pack of fake French tip nails, and I put them on, and I instantly fell in love with them!!!!

Back to my point, do you get your nails done professionally, or do you just do polish (gel or otherwise) at home?

And if not ignore me like I normally say!!!

And let me say Bakugou would be all over me, and having me scratch his back or head with these nails!!!

I’m super super lazy so I don’t get my nails done as much as I’d like to! I polish at home when I can be bothered but I normally only get my nails done for when I’m going on holiday now. But I hate acrylics so I usually only get gel on my natural nails! I just feel like fake nails feel weird? Like when you’re scratching yourself or like trying to do shit I can never get used to the feeling?

But oh my god Bakugou (and Kiri) would absolutely love you leaving marks down their backs. It’s even more reason why they insist on paying for your appointments and they get so excited when you let them pick out the colour.
