Had nothing to do and recently none of my digital drawings are good enough so i drew Lagoona from Monster Highest.

I understand being nostalgic for Cleo and duece as a ship. Trust me I do. I get it’s part of a lot of monster high fans childhood.

But some diehard cleuce fans act so gross and insidious towards g3 cleo dating Frankie and G3 deuce being aromantic.

To the degree it feels like you’re using the front of a ship you like to vent out some deep rooted Homophobia/Aphobia.

Especially when the g1 story is still on going in the form of comics. The ship you like still has its place where it very much still exists and can continue to do so.

You don’t need it to be canon in g3 too. All that would serve at this point would be to erase important relationship disinterested aromantic representation, shove cleo in a box not letting people write her in new stories and entirely remove an honestly stellar example of amicable ex’s and how a friendship doesn’t have to end just because you’re not right for each other.

G3s queer rep is super important in our current political climate. More than anyone could possibly conceive. It deserves respect and protection.

Not just to be steamrolled over to restore a status quo you’re more comfortable with.
