Thorns Under The Moon (My theories and interpretations) - Major Spoilers Ahead!!

Okay holy shit you guys I needed hours to gather my thoughts and theories for this one because my god was this main story quest a rollercoaster of emotions!😭

Where do I even start OMFG, there’s so much to unpack here so please bear with me if my thoughts are a little scattered! Also this will be a long rant so please feel free to ask questions or share your opinions too!!

Firstly can we please just appreciate how husband coded Zayne really is? Like him and MC have the most canonly romantic relationship in the main story quest till now! With the other boys, MC isn’t as romantically involved as she is with Zayne imo and I absolutely adore that!

ALSO JEALOUS ZADDY? Yes please I had so much fun🤤🤤 (more on that in another post!)

All in all I loved just how much trust Zayne and mc put in each other and their abilities. Like Zayne knew that MC would be able to control the metaflux with her evol, and MC knew that Zayne would absolutely finish the surgery in 5 minutes. I really admire how they’re so trusting of one another🥹🥹

Now let’s get to the serious part shall we?

I swear I felt my heart stop for a moment when I saw Zayne in dawnbreaker’s clothes. For literally a solid 10 minutes while the story progressed I thought that the wanderer had teleported MC in dawnbreaker’s world and doctor Zayne got left behind. The way he gave her a chocolate and his fridge was full of those energy drinks, the jasmine on the table and the eerie vibe of the scene gave me chills.

However. I can very confidently say that it was NOT dawnbreaker, and I know there’s a lot of confusion about the same so let me break it down for you guys here:

1. We all know that MC has the ability of distinguishing her Zayne from Dawnbreaker, because it has happened in a 4 star memory before (I’m so sorry I can’t remember which one) where for a brief moment Dawnbreaker entered Zayne’s consciousness and MC immediately recognised it was not him just by looking into his eyes, even though the physical form was literally the Same. Here, we see the way MC was puzzled by his clothing and made sure to thoroughly examine Zayne by touching his face and looking into his eyes. Once she realised that it really was her Zayne, we saw how she visibly relaxed.

2. Had it truly been dawnbreaker, he would’ve been CONFUSION! Because how is it that the girl of his dreams is in his world? But Zayne had his familiar humour, making jokes about carrots and even knowing all about the wanderer situation that him and MC were facing. Had it truly been Dawnbreaker, it would’ve been impossible for him to understand anything at all.

3. And of course there is the most important fact that we know now that the wanderer had transported the two of them into Zayne’s dreams to trap them there, as it had the ability of traversing through space and time. And since Dawnbreaker and Zayne dream of each other all the time, we got transported to the ‘nightmare’ that always plagues Zayne. There was no reality as such in this case, they were in a Dream, and the even though the two had gone missing for 3 days in real life, they were never in Dawnbreaker’s world. It was simply an illusion of Zayne’s nightmares.

Now that we have established all of this, I just want to take a moment to emphasise on just how broken dawnbreaker’s world really is. The darkness, the loneliness the must face on a daily basis hurt my soul. Like if Zayne is so fucking troubled just by DREAMING about what Dawnbreaker has been through, I do not even want to imagine how Dawnbreaker Zayne is able to live in his broken world every single day after dreaming about how Doctor Zayne in another life is happier than him. Like please don’t hurt my poor baby Dawnbreaker like this😭😭

Then of course comes the climax of the story, when Zayne and MC split up to destroy the protocore cluster. When I tell you I SOBBED seeing Zayne in so much pain you guys😭 I just wanna hug him and put him in my pocket🥺 However all this aside, there’s so much we need to focus on from that one scene alone!

Firstly we get to see glimpses of Doctor Zayne’s trauma with how he struggles to save every patient that comes to him, with voices of people begging him to save him and accusing him. We also see how William had begged him to kill him because it was too late when they were in the arctic, which deeply traumatised Zayne.

However, the more interesting part is that of Dawnbreaker’s trauma. We see how he had to kill the little child and his mother, and how they were so surprised and kind of betrayed by the fact that he had to kill them, but at the same time they also begged to be killed when they realised that their time was up. BUT! Who is this girl that was featured again and again? Who was afraid of being killed next but all the same begged Dawnbreaker to kill her?

I believe it is MC, his MC. Because we see how Doctor Zayne is visibly pained when she gets injured or well killed. This is where shit gets real dark: I think we now finally know what happened to dawnbreaker’s MC. I believe that she either got turned into a wanderer, or her protocore syndrome went out of control and so she begged Dawnbreaker to kill her off.

Of course there is no confirmation of her being MC but it is the closest possible theory because we know that the girl held a great deal of importance for him. And my god this SUCKS because just how much pain will you give to that poor guy😭

Nowwww here comes another very interesting part: we potentially heard Astra’s voice. And I HATE HIM UGH- IF it really is him, He said two lines: “you shouldn’t throw yourself in danger just for her.” “Seek your destiny, only then can you be redeemed.”

Of course again there is no confirmation that it was Astra but with what the male voice said, him being Astra makes the most sense. What absolutely pains me about this is that Zayne potentially knows that he can break himself free from this cycle of death and trauma that he puts himself in by loving MC, that he STILL has a chance to be redeemed by seeking his “destiny” despite disobeying his god. But he doesn’t want to do it at all because it would involve living in a world where he cannot be with her and that to him is unacceptable. He is ready to die and be in all this pain just so that he can get to love MC😭😭 Tell me a love purer than zayne’s🥺

This also leads me to speculate that Doctor Zayne is already also aware about Foreseer Zayne. We know that Foreseer knew of a “Zayne”. But now I think that Zayne has either regained his memories of that lifetime or through research has found something about the Foreseer. That would explain his frequent trips to the arctic which he doesn’t even explain to MC in full detail, as well as him hearing Astra’s voice.

And while we are at foreseer’s topic

Once MC started healing Zayne’s injuries, she saw a fragment of her past life with Foreseer who also begged her to leave him. That gave me absolute chills you guys because we have been able to see her get flashbacks twice now- one with Sylus and now one with Zayne. Could this mean that she will soon start spiralling because of all these unknown memories of her past? And how exactly would she be able to accept just how much she’s hurt the boys (unintentionally ofc)?

But my goodness Zayne really needs to stop putting his life on the line to save us, I mean come on he somehow froze MC’s wound or something like that and absorbed it in his heart???😭😭 MY BABY IS SOMETHING HAPPENS TO YOU HOW WILL I SURVIVE😭

Towards the ending we get to learn a very important piece of information- that Ever is creating monsters and are basically saving people or extending their lifetime who are nearly dying. And who do we know had basically gone Kaboom?? CALEB. I am so fucking sure that Caleb is going to be a part of Ever in some way or the other and it will NOT be pleasant.

What also bothers me is that Xavier and Rafayel are also somehow linked to Ever- Rafayel through the deal he made before he sent MC into the N109 zone, and Xavier through the red collar type situation that he is forced to have on which restricts his freedom. Just how powerful is this group??

The last thing that was on my mind was the ending of the main story. Zayne’s dream. He apparently finally catches up with “the girl” and just as they are happy together, they end back into the doomed hospital corridor where she seems to be dying/heavily injured. So what bothers me is that is this dawnbreaker’s past or is it a hint of what MC and Zayne’s doomed fate holds for them? Right now they’re so happy together, but with how their love is cursed, is the ending supposed to be some twisted way of telling us that no matter what, Zayne cannot truly be with us and will have to watch us die?

I swear if this is what it is I will sob and cry and quit the game because I WANT A HAPPY ENDING WITH ZAYNE😭😭

okay so this is a curt lives (yayyy!!!) gale dies (it hurts to even type) storyline. i’m still debating his death but i do have two roads i wanna go down, i’ll probably go with whatever way ends up fitting john’s character trauma later. enjoy some first meeting hc!!! ty for asking love <33 🥹 lemme know if u want more/like how this sounds lol

• John stays in the army and continues flying. There are multiple times where they attempt to promote him to Colonel or General but he refuses, always opting to be a Major because 1) he was a Major with Gale and 2) he wants to stay avid on the field, he will never be comfortable sending young boys to fight and not be right there with them. If he’s a Colonel or General he’s got to stay back.

— John’s approach to war is Episode 5 coded during his conversation with Crank. He never heals from that completely.

•In 1965 John is recruiting doing military tours and training new flyboys. He’s leaving base one day and almost breaks his neck when he sees Gale with a beard, tattoos, and a patch riding by, yelling into the open air with glee. He’s curious of course, makes it his mission to find out who he is. Whoever this person is they have Gale’s face.

• Talks to Demarco who is from Chicago who tells him where some biker gang hangs. Tells Bucky to not get into any trouble “they’re real dangerous guys, bucky, don’t go startin’ nothing.”

•This is in the post but Zipco and Cockroach take to Bucky immediately. He wears the army uniform, but none of the arrogance and he can out drink almost any of the men there. Tell the Major to come around the bar any time he wants he ain’t no damn regular G.I.

•He stares at Benny constantly which irks him. There’s a look in his eye that Benny doesn’t appreciate, a gentleness that shouldn’t be directed at him because he isn’t gentle. His name isn’t Buck and he doesn’t want John saying his name in a tone like he’s meant to be revered. He isn’t anything, he just wants to ride his bike and stick with the gang. They make conversation once (the one also in the post) and the next time Benny sees him enter the bar while he plays pool he feels anger in the pit of his stomach, building until it has reached his throat and Benny does what he does — he hits him. Repeatedly.

•Bucky doesn’t hit back. He takes it and imagines it’s Gale’s touch. It takes Johnny, Zipco, and a few other guys to peel Benny off of him.

hehe so ever since you talked about college au!pepe i’ve been… doing a lot little thinking (maybe like everyday since) so im gonna give you something to read bc YOU MADE ME THINK ABOUT IT 🫵 now you have to deal with me. hopefully this gives you some inspoooo and a lil smth to think about bc i had way too much fun just thinking ab it LOLL

FIRST OFF ure so right with sebas, chris and pepe being college besties!!! like i think instead of living in dorms, they’d definitely share an apartment together jdbdjfjdjf i tried thinking about who gets to choose the furniture and decos in said apartment but i feel like they’d be giggling at everything they see at ikea, and they’d bicker about whose choices are better so apartment decor shopping takes wayyyy longer than necessary with these 3 and in the end they probs made a google form of their choices (like couches, lamps, dining table…), make their families vote and just buy whatever the families’ top picks are 😭

and somehow, pepe SCREAMS insane pining to me. hear me out… this man is career focused. not interested in anything besides his studies, he lowkey struck me as someone who would want to be a little bit more stable on his feet before he thinks about a relationship? especially with his newfound freedom of moving away from home to live with his best friends too. sure, the thought of having a girlfriend in college doesn’t puts him off or anything but it’s not something he actively seeks either ??? it’s nice and all but he thinks spending his time studying, hanging out with sebas and chris and his other friends, and going back home to visit his family during breaks is just as nice, if not, even nicer. sebas, even more so than chris, thinks pepe should loosen up a bit and would actively TRY to set up pepe on dates after dates with the single girls in his major for like the first semester and eventually gives up because pepe would either 1. cancel on them last minute bc he “forgot he has a presentation tmrw” (he does not!) or 2. could not care less!!! the girlies in sebas major–who fell victim to his date arrangements with pepe–would glare at sebas the day after (bc of wtvr pepe did) and every time he’s like 🥲 guys? 🥲 what did i do? 🥲

that leads me back to the main point: pepe is acquaintance to friends to ??? to lovers coded. LIKEE i can only imagine him getting together and potentially entertain the idea of a relationship with someone he KNOWS. reader (or yn?!) would be friends with sebas or chris because they have classes together, or maybe yn are friends w their girlfriends bc girl power 🥺🤘🏻 and then yn became friends w sebas and chris too so now she has no choice but be dragged everywhere to their hangouts and everything bc they love her!!! (or maybe bonus reader and pepe has like 1 or 2 class together but he never noticed until now) and pepe is a little bit confused every time bc like ? why do you keep bringing this random girl to our hangouts ?? eventually he came around and just accepts that reader will be everywhere he is now bc his friends would not leave you out of a hangout plan. idk how yet but when reader and pepe’s relationship shifted friends-ish to ??? zone he’s a bit like… okay that’s weird. he doesn’t know what it is but he doesn’t like how he feels when he’s around reader anymore like how he did go from tolerating your presence to thinking about every small interactions you guys have ??? like he’s literally losing sleep over it. why does he wish for his fingers to brush yours for longer than necessary when you passed him that bag of chips ?? why is he upset because you asked mark that sits 3rd row from the front for lecture notes, like he’s literally right there, top student of the class ?? why did he offer you his hoodie when you guys’ friends are playing volleyball on a basketball court (don’t ask why and how) one tuesday night in the park nearby just because you shivered a bit ?? i can think of more but i think this is way too long already so i’ll stop here for now JDHDJFJF

up for debate but sebas looks like a kinesiology major, and pepe and chris had def make jokes about it more than necessary 😭😭 imagine sebas is like “guys, i can’t hang out my assignment is due today” and pepe is like “what? you have a curling biceps due at 11:59?” and they’d die of laughter bc. teenage boys. everything is funnier than it really is :D

okay first off YES them sharing an apartment is so on point. istg their families would end up getting so tired of their bad taste etc that one day sebas's and pepe's sisters (ive looked all over to find info abt chris's family situation but can't find anything anywhere 😶 so if he too has sisters then they too would be there) just appear at their door for an "intervention!!!" to make sure it all looks at least a little decent...

and yn being friends with chris's and sebas's girlfriends is so 🥺😭

correct me if im wrong but i have a feeling pepe would be interested in something along the lines of maths/physics/science because i think i remember reading somewhere that he liked that when he went to school? he seems like a smart boy to me. like i feel like he would be naturally good at everything he does in school and he could've chosen anything for his major, but he wanted a bit of a challenge so he picked something most ppl would find hard. and yes like you said, career-focused and not rlly interested in much other than his studies (like he strikes me as someone who would actually enjoy studying? esp when he has to work a bit to solve something) so he definitely enjoys that part of the college life.

also he would be a bit of a popular boy (though not the type to be overly boasty about it, more like "what? me? why??"). handsome, friendly, sweet, smart.... and everyone knows he's single, it's kinda common knowledge. so when sebas goes to people and tries to set them up with pepe saying like "oh he would adore you, you're SO his type!!" they get all happy and excited because "pepe!?! im his type??!!". but then they get stood up and eventually that becomes a whole thing lol, everyone knows that he's just a little emotionally unavailable...

and maybe pepe even went through a relationship that ended a bit badly so that contributes to his "i don’t need that drama in my life, i'd rather just study and chill with my friends" 🤷‍♀️

but about his feelings for the reader.... pepe really really didn't see it coming. he's so clueless about what happened and why his feelings changed all of a sudden. why can't he focus on his studies like he used to? why does the thought of her smile cross his mind even when he's solving equations? why is he up until 4am just thinking about her the night before a super important exam?

and suddenly, it's much more likely that he agrees to hangout with the boys (instead of saying that he really has to study like he does way too often) because maybe their girlfriends will come along and maybe they'll have brought you along aswell.

and he starts doing these little things that he can't even figure out himself why he's doing them. like when he knows you're running late for a lecture you share that's always pretty much full, he puts his bag on the seat next to him to make it seem like it's occupied, so that when you make it to class, that seat just happens to be the only free seat in the entire lecture hall... or how he just happens to have a few of those granola bars you love from the campus coffee shop (he totally doesn't keep them in his bag because he knows you don't like having breakfast before your 8:30am thursday lectures and you're usually starving by the time your shared lab class starts).....

i mean ofc it doesn't take long for you to crush on him as well. in a moment of unusual stupidity (there may have been some alcohol involved), you accidentally confess this crush to the girlfriends.... and of course they tell their boyfriends, and it doesn't take long before all of them begin plotting about how to get you together. sebas wants to tell pepe instantly, but chris stops him like "no no no, we have to think this through. this can't be like one of your usual setups, this needs to be properly planned". so they start canceling plans in the last seconds but not telling you or pepe so the two of you end up alone, etc. etc. and you think they're all so obvious that you just wanna crawl under a rock and cry – but pepe is so so oblivious and has no idea. he really thinks it's all coincidences 😭

okay this is getting too long already but i just wanna share one other thought i had 🥲 this is ofc further down the story but one night you're all out partying at some classmate's apartment, and you drink a little much... and pepe agrees to take you home, but you're way too drunk to even remember what dorm you live in. so instead, he takes you back to the boys' apartment since it's also, conveniently enough, closer to the party. when he walks you down the hall, he's got an arm draped around your waist and you're clinging onto his shirt to even stand up straight... and when you finally get in, pepe gets some makeup wipes from sebas's room and cleans you up 🥺 and then he finds you an oversized shirt and some pajama shorts for you to sleep in. and after he's tucked you into his bed and he's about to leave, your hand reaches for the hem of his shirt.

"please don't sleep on the couch... it's not good for your back, you'll be complaining about back pains all week" (bonus points if you've already stayed over before for some reason and he let you sleep in his bed while he slept on the couch, and now you're all "you complained so much last time")

and he says "no it's fine, really-" but you bat your eyes at him and go "please? for me?" and he eventually gives in, changes into another shirt and a pair of sweatpants and gets in next to you. from there on, it's just a blur for you both... neither of you can recall how you ended up on his chest... or how his hand made its way to the small of your back, holding you against him.....

but it's especially funny because when sebas and chris come home, not only do they think it's strange that pepe's shoes are by the door ("did he come back already? her dorm is a bit away, he can't be back already can he?") – the sight of your heels a few feet away makes them freak. especially when they don't see pepe sleeping on the couch as they'd expected when having you over. and, as the nosy boys they are, they can't help but peek into pepe's room and sure enough, there you two are... cuddled up like you're something more than just a friend of a friend.....

and when you wake up the following morning, you're a little freaked because !! what are we doing !!!! but then you feel pepe start to wake underneath you and you pretend to sleep again because you can't both be awake now; then you would know you both know about this sleeping position and you'd be forced to talk about it. it's much easier if you can both just pretend like it never happened. pepe smoothly gets out of bed, making his way into the kitchen to make some coffee, but he's startled when he finds chris and sebas already in there, watching him with intrigued eyes. pepe goes like "....good morning?" acting subtle and everything, but the boys just can't hold back from the teasing. "we thought you'd bring her back to her own place?" "was that too hard of a task, huh?" & so on....

and you end up texting chris's girlfriend and beg her to bring you some clothes from your dorm, because... the skimpy/flashy outfit you wore to the party yesterday to impress pepe is not something you want to wear out in public at 1pm on a random sunday.... but wearing pepe's clothes all the way back to your dorm doesn't feel like a much better solution either 😵‍💫

I don't care for ai stuff but I desperately need to tell another person that I came across a Frank Kitchen fucking chatbot the other day. It has 11k chats and I'm sure none of them are from people that know what he's from.

I'm blown away..

i feel like that would not be hard to code seeing as i imagine 9 out of 10 times it would give no response and just send back a pic of mrod's big sad brown eyes

i thought perhaps it was the motivational speaker frank kitchen who comes up when you google the name but i see the chatbot description is "assassin" so prolly not lol. that person's also made a chatbot for jujube the cat and i can't imagine how that works. although now that i think about it the cat must be able to talk. it can't just be her making cat noises. i wouldn't put it past her though. how the hell does the frank chatbot have 11k when rain ocampo only has 7k? i think you must be right that they don't know who it is

okay i caved and used a tempmail to make an acc. now that i've closed the window i can never log back in and i did a really good thing earlier today so it'll balance out morally i think. here are the takeaways:

1) every time you ask him a question he "shifts in his seat evasively" and demands to know who's asking so at least they have that down

2) the bot doesn't know any of the events of the movie or its other characters although it will bring up its love of dogs at any opportunity

3) somehow the wires have gotten crossed because bot!frank is clearly supposed to be a trans man. it will start telling you with very little prompting about its teenage gender dysphoria and how it always wanted to be a boy and its dad beat it because it wanted a son

basically it's a sullen dog-loving trans guy child abuse victim chatbot. i'm pretty sure i've read at least five f&f fics where that was somehow brian's deal so i understand why it would be wildly popular

pierresteban: amnesia pt. 2

<-pt. 1

All their years in Formula 1 together, nothing between their relationship has changed. Being in a professional environment has helped things cool down a little so that the risk of a screaming match doesn’t seem constantly around the corner but there’s still nothing but tension and bad memories. Pierre’s the only one who knows Esteban isn’t straight, and for the first few years Esteban constantly felt like Pierre was just teasing him, drawing out the wait until he’d eventually tell everyone the truth and out his ex-best friend. During that time he was terrified of the monumental leverage Pierre held over him and even as he started to feel a little more relaxed a little more sure that Pierre really wasn’t going to tell he never understood why…

Anyway it’s no secret that Formula 1 races in a lot of countries with extremely homophobic attitudes, sometimes to the point where it gets dangerous. I’m not going to go into any further research or call any place out because that’s not fair, so let’s just say it’s a nameless circuit that falls under this description. It’s a few nights before the first practice, so everyone has time to go out and get to know the area a little. Esteban ends up at a bar and is surprised when some guy starts chatting him up immediately, he instinctively is like holy shit this is risky but the guy isn’t unattractive (maybe he’s got shaggy dirty-blonde hair and blue eyes who knows) and Esteban is a little drunk so he figures like we can get away with it right? So they leave the bar and are about to go to someone’s hotel room when they get jumped.

Not just by a few people either, there's like a whole group ambush, the other guy books it and manages to get away but Esteban stays and tries to fight because like he’s an athlete he’s strong he’ll be fine right? And maybe he would be except it’s like 5:1 or more and yeah he gets the living shit beaten out of him. Someone smacks his head into the corner of an iron bench and he blacks out, head split open, ribs cracked, face a bloody mess. Eventually the guy from the bar who ran away calls the cops, and the gang gets busted and they haul ass away, but even when emergency services get to Esteban it’s almost too late because he’s been hurt bad.

Back at Alpine everyone is losing their shit obviously but also making a really extreme, yet disorganized, effort to keep this as under wraps as they can before they have to make a statement. People are talking to each other in code and yelling at bystanding film crews and rumors are flying but nobody really knows what’s happening– including Pierre. People make a significant effort to downplay the story as much as logistically possible to the point where it almost makes no sense, Pierre knows he’s being lied to and he’s getting increasingly frustrated and he doesn’t know why he’s panicking but he feels lost and anxious and trapped and he can’t stop imagining horrible things happening to someone he thought he hated so finally he leaves HQ without permission and goes to medical on the track cause he has no idea where else to go, he just knows he needs to see Esteban if he’s ever going to be able to think straight and that’s when he finds out that shit, it’s serious Esteban is in an actual hospital. In a coma.

And Pierre isn’t allowed to visit, not by the hospital team and definitely not by his own team who are still trying to pretend everything’s okay and can tell he’s just going to get even more out of control so they call in a reserve for the rest of the season and Pierre has to go through the whole race weekend constantly saying “no comment” and pretending like everything’s fine. He DNFs in the race because of a stupid and totally preventable mistake, he actually gets taken to medical himself because when his engineer asks him if he’s okay he won’t answer. He just totally loses it and he’s not taking the time at all to ask himself why he’s losing it.

And then they have a few weeks off and Pierre’s still a wreck, he makes multiple phone calls a day trying to get an update. No one will tell him anything because of confidentiality rules and finally he loses all his resolve and calls Esteban’s family, he’s originally just trying to get some answers but he ends up sobbing into the phone half-apologizing half-completely incoherent like, “I’m sorry, I never thought it would be like this, I never meant to leave him, I’m so sorry, please tell me he’s okay…”

Throughout the next few weeks Pierre just spends way too much time in his own head deep-diving into flashbacks, remembering how it was between them when they were just kids and all the moments he’ll never forget and everything he used to suppress. And he thinks that even after everything he wouldn’t change a bit of how their relationship was, even though it ended, because some of the best times of his life were spent with Esteban. And for the first time in his life Pierre lets himself properly grieve for what the two of them lost in each other and it fucking hurts.

And then Esteban wakes up… an eventually his parents let Pierre visit him in the hospital he got transferred to (I’m making this the hospital in the town they grew up) because Pierre is basically begging them and Pierre walks into the room with absolutely no idea what to say and his mouth is dry and his hands are shaking and he nearly collapses, he has to hold on to the wall when he sees how broken Esteban looks but also from the overwhelming relief that’s he’s awake.

But all Esteban can weakly rasp is, “Did I use to know you?”

1. What made you ship it?

First off they are constantly touching each others chests MY GOD. Not to mention how often they get up in each others faces holy shit.

That is ZOKE levels of closeness. Jesus

I think you have to be dumb to not see why people ship it. Also that whole “need to be dominated” scene with dawn, then jo shows up right after that and bosses him around. COME ON. Then the rest of that scene and how it played out. Him poking her chest and then she pushes him away in a way that’s like “oh I’ll show you who’s boss.” Squat thruster ‼️‼️‼️ (why did she do that) Plus she seems to have genuine respect for him which is really nice. She’s given him the most nicknames out of everyone too.

Also 2/5 of bricks confessionals are about jo. The other three times he’s just talking about himself. I thought that’d be fun to mention. Jo wants to feel good about herself and brick wants to be a fashion designer and he can make her cute clothes i think.

I am never going to let anyone ever forget about that “maybe brick and jo wanna kiss and make up?” line UGHHH. Even Chris low key shipped it. There’s just sooo much to them. Also comedy potential with lightning thinking Jo’s a gay twink the whole time and idk maybe there could be something with jock and lightning. I’m convinced at least a few animators shipped them.

Just WIWJWJEN there’s so so so much. She’s the only person who convinced him to go against his code. That man is devoted. And then when she pulled him out of that grave and there was music playing and they zoomed in on them holding hands.. I initially shipped them because when I was younger I was looking for fanart and came across a fake screenshot of them kissing and 9 year old me beloved it was real 🥲 you can imagine my disappointment when they didn’t end up smooching. In the finale they’re constantly next to each other too. There’s way too much going on between them, I also take Jo’s dream about letting a guy win because she found him ‘attractive’ as a jock crumb. + they have a good ship name.

That rock climbing scene where brick talks about his rock wall climbing badge or something and jo seems genuinely impressed for a moment, then he goes on and says how he dislocated his hip and jo is like “oh never mind he’s weird.” LMAOOO. Brick really wanted to show off there huh. They’re both so fucking stupid iwhwnsnens

Plus we know Jo’s type is dark hair and cleft chins. She really needs to kiss her rivals okay

2. What are your favorite things about this ship?

Basically everything I mentioned before. Bricks “need to be dominated” basically confirms that jo would be his type, what can I say. And he calls her ma’am, and is just generally very respectful even when she gets under his skin. I really really love how jo tries to get under his skin, it’s so fun. And brick is slowly losing his mind. Also he didn’t vote for her in ep7, he voted for lightning, and we know that because jo got her marshmallow first, meaning lightning got one vote from brick. That is soo. Yeah. He probably would feel bad if he voted for her. He probably didn’t vote for her in ep4 either.

And he breaks his code for her. Like, his entire thing is never leave a man behind, and jo convinces him to leave everyone behind. And that causes his first elimination but MANNNNN…. He really really respects her. And I really like women who bully their boyfriends, it’s so fun. There’s probably so much more that I could say about them that I forgot to add.

3. Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?

When people write their platonic dynamic in fanfics is always so. Meh. They treat it like she just harasses him but he views her as an equal, and she sees him as a competitor she can actually have banter with. Also please stop calling them mlm/wlw solidarity. I’m not saying that because I ship them but because she has made it her life goal to make his as miserable as possible. HOSTILITY.

I’ll make my own analysis on their rivalry, not to be shippy but so people just understand how they interact because a lot of people don’t get it.

Jock is very very special to me. The only way I can enjoy m/f ships is if they’re fighting 24/7. It’s awesome. Plus he’s also the only man I can ship with Jo tbh. Other m/f Jo ships make me like ehhhhh I dunno

A Sky of Falling Birds

As I mentioned before, SFB is my next big project, which I plan to submit for BAF VN Jam. That's... 7/1.

It's okay, I still got... 20 days.

There's a lot of work left to do and not much to show off at the moment.

Pre-Make

Or Pre 🕰 Make (P-M), I haven't completely decided on how to advertise the title yet. It's a "small" project that I came up with back in 2020 and still haven't finished. I thought I'd dedicate a few days' time to it and see how far I'd get. There's still a bit of work to do, but much of it is done.

The art's quite old and the story telling was the original test I did for SYVNH's looping mechanism so it won't be anything novel. The screenshot above is from this game. If he looks a little familiar, don't worry. That's not your imagination.

The Beauty Which Only Beast Knows

My other big focus for this month, we're hoping to finish it for Otome Jam... which also ends 7/1. I've a loose schedule for achieving that, but the team's health is the top priority so we're playing it by ear. It may take a little longer to finish up.

O2A2: Because I couldn't sit still!! I started planning for O2A2 2024! It'll be another entry into the kill series, but I hope to include some point and click elements to it. Last year I finished 9 VN projects, something I don't want to do again-- but!! I don't want to only finish one project this year!! I've been skipping and fomo-ing all the jams in the first half of the year. Well, no more! I'm going to get some work done this summer!!

Fan Projects: I don't think I need to keep my involvement in fan projects a secret anymore! I took part in the D. Gray Man 20th Anniversary Project, which we actually started work on late last year! I also took part in the Narumitsu Big Bang 2024 event, which... also started work late last year 🤔 Huh, I was really busy back then. Maybe that'll teach me to sign up for too many fan events... (😂 no ofc not!)

Misc: I finished some tedious updating work that I promised myself to do a while back. I'll admit I make my blog easiest for me to navigate, first and foremost. But if there's something that's bothering you, or have an idea to make navigation better, feel free to let me know through an ask! I also updated all of my itch io pages' images. They were originally linked from discord, which changed its policy and broke all direct image links. Thankfully, I had everything labeled in a private server so I could easily retrieve and reupload to update the pages. Yes, I should've done that long ago. And I'm sorry I just... didn't;;

2. What’s a classic work of literature that you’d consider yourself a fan of?

Hm.... Does The Haunting of Hill House count as a classic work of literature? I suspect no. The Bell Jar?? The Left Hand of Darkness?? Strange Pilgrims by Gabriel Garcia Marquez?? I've read Pride and Prejudice, which I suspect is the closest to what is meant by 'classic' here, and I admire Austen's writing but it's not really the first thing I think of when asked what I'm a fan of. Sorry, this answer's kind of boring, turns out I'm not much of a classics person!

4. Do you have a crack ship? Explain them to me.

I... don't think so? I have trouble framing character relationships as shipping even to myself? Just in general? Like. It just doesn't occur to me that I might want to do that. And I don't think it's as if I don't ship people, more that someone says the word shipping to me and my mind goes totally blank. So. You can imagine how it's even worse when I try to think of a crack ship I might have. Wow, two in a row for Answers That Aren't That Fun -- let's see if we can make it three >:]

10. Recc me a new piece of media you think I’d enjoy!

Ooh... Nimona! By ND Stevenson. I just glanced to the side at my bookshelf and saw this and went, "Ah, yes, found family, magic powers, sweet and silly and sad. Perfect." It's a graphic novel about a shape-shifting girl (Nimona) who wriggles her way into the life of a villain by the name of Ballister Blackheart. The two of them team up to cause some trouble with a group called the Institute, Ballister might have a bit of A Thing going on with the hero of the Institute, and Nimona makes me real fucking sad every time I read it.

Aw, dang, this answer was fun, I broke my streak!

13. Praise an obscure favourite character.

Oh boy oh god oh okay!! I'm giving you this answer with the full knowledge that it'll change again within a month or two, probably. Pixlriffs! From the Minecraft series Empires SMP (Season 2)! I mean, I assume I'll like him in season 1 as well, but I haven't watched that yet. He's just... so enchanting to me as a character concept. And specifically as a Minecraft character concept?

Right, okay, so. He's an archaeologist. He pulls entire cities out of the past. He lives alone in a warren of ancient catacombs. He can see, as holograms, the places that overgrown ruins used to be. In a series that is so much about not being able to escape the past, he's, like, a walking thematic capstone, and that's just so. I am a moth to a flame about that. But also. He's so fucking funny as a character and everything I aspire to be. He's the definition of "friendly and competent guy that everyone takes for granted as The Normal One but then it turns out that no, he's as batshit weird as the rest of them"!! He's really nice! Utterly unflappable! One time he ripped up a guy's carpet because his favourite shiny rock got stolen!

But the actual thing I haven't been able to stop thinking about is. Pixlriffs The Actual Guy Who Makes The Videos (as opposed to Pixlriffs The Character) is making a point this season of not really doing a character arc or a central plot for his character? On a Doylist level, this is so The Actual Guy can stick to what he's more comfortable with: being in the background doing work to support other people's stories -- The Actual Guy himself describes it as kind of being like a DM. But on a Watsonian level? All of this is so. He builds ruins and structures and dots them across the landscape for the other players to find. He guides them to plot hooks interesting sites and suggests they talk to each other when there's thematic parallels in their stories they have problems in common. I keep thinking about the line from the End Poem: and the universe said you are the universe tasting itself, talking to itself, reading its own code / and the universe said I love you because you are love. And. The idea of a person who is here specifically to act as a mouthpiece for the history of the world, to speak on a past that -- on the level of the game -- doesn't exist. The idea of Pix being in some ways very much his own person but in others acting out the will or narrative of a place overflowing with those things and unable to express them. Like the universe itself saw these people telling stories and building homes and living lives with so much care and love and went, Yes, let me help. Yes, I love you, here is another story, tell it with me. Yes, let me play the game with you.

I saw a post about y'all vs. you guys and I have two ideas:

1. What if Clark says "y'all" and Superman says "you guys"?

2. I kinda need a fic now with all the misunderstandings around "yea, no" and "no, yeah".

Okay okay okay you must be on the same wavelength as me because ever since those posts started going around I have been thinking about this exact topic.

First - I personally think that Clark would say y’all but Superman would actually be a bit more formal most of the time. Some examples below:

Clark: Ya’ll okay?

Superman: Is everyone okay?

Clark: ya’ll’l never get away with this!

Superman: You will never get away with this!

~*~

Clark: I’ve got you! Ya’ll are gonna be okay.

Superman: I’ve got you! You guys are going to be okay.

Etc etc. I imagine he would say “you guys” to the right audience, but overall I personally headcannon that when he’s Superman he actively tries to hide some of his affectations that might give away where he’s from. Both as a way to protect those he loves and not bias other people against him or let him think that he could be from anywhere so he’s accepted everywhere, ya know?

Someone either on tumblr or in a fic I read once (if you know where please mention it so I can properly source!) mentioned Superman accidentally slipping that he was from Kansas while rescuing someone as a way to connect with them. Buuuuuut then realized how stupid that was and started telling everyone he rescued he was from where they were to cover his tracks. And that has always stuck with me as exactly the type of thing he’d do. Head empty - no thoughts - connect with others and save everyone he can and think nothing of his own security (or even sometimes how his own actions can effect the security of those he loves - at least when he’s young and just starting out)

BUT - this leads me to a second point on topic #1 (and into #2) Which is the beautiful, hilarious possibility of code switching between Clark and Superman ways of speaking in different situations.

Just imagine Superman in the watchtower. He just got done kicking some villain’s ass. He’s simply covered in some sort of alien goo and a light powdering debris from his fight and desperately needs a shower. Several of the other members are sitting around playing cards/shooting the shit when he walks in.

“Oh man Superman you look rough my dude.”

And because it’s been a hard fight and he’s also thinking about his personal problems he snaps back without watching his vocabulary. “If y’all’d’ve helped a little more maybe I wouldn’t be so—” He gestures to the suit and its immediate need for cleaning.

And wouldn’t that just stop them in their tracks a little. Big blue just said…y’all? Not only y’all but a strange rushed conjunction that feels out of place for him (they think). But then. THEN. He keeps doing it. Little bits and pieces slipping out to his fellow superheroes and friends.

“I’m fixin to go to China for a ribbon cutting ceremony. All y’all want takeout?”

“No. Yeah. I’ll be there. You coming with?”

“Mom really made the best pies for the state fair this year. Y’all’d’ve loved it if y’all’d’ve come.”

"Oh for cryin' out loud. Batman isn’t that scary. Just talk to the man, he’ll understand.”

Whiiiich brings me all the way back around to your point number two. God I would LOVE a fic full of misunderstandings. And one around “no, yeah” and “yeah, no” would be so much fun! I don’t know if I’m the person to write it because I literally say those two things in my head with such different inflections that I can’t confuse them. But it would be ~g l o r i o u s~ if it happened! I’ve been trying to wrack my brain for a good scenario in which they could be confused.

Maybe one where Bruce finally gets the courage to ask Clark around for dinner. “Are you free for dinner this Sunday at 5?” “No, yeah.” And Bruce just walks away unsure of if Clark understood or not? I know I personally have a habit of adding more to my sentences that sort of clarify “no, yeah” via context. Like, “No, yeah. I’ll be there.”

But “yeah, no” ? Now that one is easily said alone. But I personally always say it with a bit of distaste on the no, or laced sarcasm. Or as a question. So here’s some scenarios for anyone who needs examples of this

Person 1: You going to that party?

Person 2: Yeah, no. (No said with a hint of ‘I’d rather get teeth pulled without Novocain’)

Person 1: Did you get a raise this year?

Person 2: Yeah, no (No said with anger)

Person 1: Did you remember to do [insert chore/obligation that is ridiculous]?

Person 2: Yeah, no (No said as in ‘I am not going to do that. I never planned on foing that. I’m laughing on the No because it’s such a stupid ask)

Person 1: Did you do the dishes?

Person 2: Yeah, no? (Sort of. This means sort of, kind of, in a roundabout way, but probably not the way the question asker intended)

Part 1

I’m so excited about this, I hope you guys like it.

Warnings: none other than smoking weed, smut comes in part 2 :)

You didn’t have a label on your sexualities, you just knew you wanted to be together all the time and be as close as possible. You loved each other, but you both also liked boys.

It was no secret that there was something about him in the air, remaining unsaid but not unacknowledged. You had this friend, Eddie, who was also your dealer.

Most times when you bought weed from him, you were with her and there was a way that he looked at the both of you that you had picked up on even though he tried to be inconspicuous.

It was a very bad attempt every time, his face getting warm and pink and his palms a little sweaty. He’d look at you, then her, then you again.

He was always imagining something, not necessarily always filthy. Sometimes he just wondered how you look when you kiss her gently, treating her with care because she’s so sweet and fragile.

Or maybe just the two of you laying in bed together, not naked but maybe half naked. How you’d cuddle, what kind of things you’d talk about when you were alone together or how you’d run your hand through your hair as she slept next to you.

“Hello??” You ask, waiting for Eddie to snap out of his distant thoughts.

“Sorry, what was the question?”

“You’re so stupid”, you say, rolling your eyes but smiling at the same time. He really was.

“We need a couple of grams, can we meet at the picnic table after school?”

He pats his pockets as if he’s looking for something.

“Shit, I knew I was forgetting something this morning. Don’t have anything on me, you’ll have to come by my house, is that cool?”

“Fine”, you say, “we’ll see you around four”

“Hey… if I ask you something can you promise not to get mad at me?” Chrissy asks from the passenger seat.

“I won’t get mad at you, sweet girl. What is it?” You reply, resting your right hand on the top of her thigh as you drove.

“Do you maybe think… I don’t know… that Eddie’s kinda… cute?”

You laugh. “Hmm, I guess so. Why?”

“I think he might like me. Or maybe you. Well-“

“I’m pretty sure he likes us, Chris.” You said smiling. “You think I haven’t noticed the way he acts when you’re with me versus when it’s just me by myself?”

“….oh.” It clicks in her head. She looks as if she’s cracked the code, figured out the worlds biggest secret.

She can be naïve, but you love that. Adorable.

“So you like him too?” You ask.

“Maybe, I- not if you’re not okay with that” she blushes nervously.

“I kinda have to be because I can’t say I don’t like him either.”

She seems relieved, so scared that you were gonna get upset with her. You pull into Eddie’s driveway, rocks crunching beneath the tires as you park.

You both head to the front door, which opens right as you raise your hand to knock on it. It kinda scares you. “Jesus, how did you get to the door that fast?”

“I think he was probably waiting by it. Maybe looking out the window too, waiting.” Chrissy comments, looking over at you and laughing.

He steps back so you can enter, closing the door behind you.

He had recently stopped wanting to meet in the woods behind school because it was getting too cold.

“Look at your girlfriend, she’s always wearing that little cheer uniform. She could freeze to death.” He had insisted.

This was the first time you’d been in his house, you’ve only ever seen the outside. Inside, it was cozy, a little warm and stuffy but overall comfortable.

“I’ve got it just in here, how much did you say you needed?” He asks, heading towards his bedroom as you follow him.

“Just 2 grams for now, don’t have that much money at the moment.”

“Gotcha.” He pulls it out of his bedside drawer, putting your order in a little ziplock bag and handing it over to you as you hand him the crumpled $20 bill from your back pocket.

You say thank you, see you around, but he stops you before you get out the door.

“Do you guys maybe wanna smoke with me? I mean, you’re already here and it’ll be free weed”

You look at her, she looks at you. You both nod to each other, as though to say “yes, that’s okay with me.”

“Uhhh, sure, why not? We can makes some time, fit you into our schedule.” You didn’t have plans.

You just wanted it to seem like it was more of a chore to stay and let him smoke you out. It was funny.

“Alright, cool. I gotta roll a couple of joints then, I’ll be right back. Gotta find the papers.” You both nod.

Eddie’s bed had all kinds of stuff on it, including some mystery stains so you both opted to sit in the floor next to it while he sat on the edge.

You take a hit of the joint he’d made you all, and leaned in close to your girlfriend’s face. She parted her lips slightly, breathing in as you blew the smoke from your mouth to hers.

A moment after this, you pass it back to Eddie. His hand looks shaky and sure enough, he drops it right onto the floor, fumbling to pick the lit joint off the ground where it had left a small burned spot on the carpet.

You both laugh at him, of course. He was so, so nervous. He loved hanging with the both of you but didn’t want to scare you off.

You continue to pass it in circles (actually, more like triangles) until it’s down to the filter. He drops it in the ashtray on his nightstand and pulls out his pack of cigarettes, taking one out and putting it in his mouth.

“Hey Munson, I know you wanna give me one of those because I’m your favorite customer”, you said teasingly.

He pulls out another and tosses it at you, you catching it with ease. He throws the lighter down at you next, and you light the cigarette before passing the lighter back.

“Can I-“ chrissy starts.

“No, baby, you can’t smoke cigarettes. Only weed. They’re bad for you.”

She pouts. She just wants to be like you, to like what you like, but you couldn’t risk giving her a nicotine addiction.

She tended to have an addictive personality already.

You pull her by the waist into your lap, wrapping an arm around her as the three of you continued talking.

Before you knew it, your high had worn off and it was starting to get dark out. “Thank you, but we should go, it’s getting late. See you at school tomorrow.”

You told Eddie as you headed to the front door. “Bye, eds”, Chrissy added after you.

“What was that, three joints? Maybe four?”, she asks after you get in the car. “Do you think he gives other people that much for free??”

“No, Chris, I told you. He likes us.”

You start the car and pull away, and you see her out of the corner of your eye with a cute smile.

“Did you guys find anybody?” Felix asked, as the number of players still showed just 7 of them. They could just start now, but the game would be way more fun with a full lobby.

“Yeah, Lily’s joining. I just texted her the code, so she should be here at any moment.” Sykkuno replied after receiving a text message from the said girl. “Oh, and Corpse also said he’d be joining soon.”

“Great. Anyone else?”

“I think Jack was also bringing someone, right?” Dave asked.

“Huh? Oh yeah, I have one coming, she’ll join us in a few” the asked man replied at the same moment Lily’s character appeared in the lobby.

“Who you’re bringing Jack?”

“What can I say, my charm is irresistible” Jack replied nonchalantly, causing everyone in the lobby to laugh at his fake deep voice.

The number of participants changed to 9, as a little black astronaut with horns on his helmet appeared in the lobby.

“Corpse, you’re here!” Rae’s character ran up to the man, circling him excitedly.

“Hey man!”

“What’s up, Corpse?”

“Hello everyone” his deep voice sounded out “Sorry to keep you waiting.”

“All good man, we’re still waiting for one person.” Felix reassured him “Sean, why is she not here yet? Are you sure you’ve sent her the right code?”

“Of course I am!” he all but shouted at Felix “And about that, she just texted me to give her a few more minutes and that we should start without her.”

“We can just wait, right?” Lily offered, earning a few hums of approval from the others.

“I think it might take a little longer than a few minutes, she has some problems with her microphone.”

“Who are you guys talking about?” Corpse asked, completely unaware of who Jack was referring to.

“Wait, Jack, you mean Y/N from Y/C/N?” Sykkuno asked suddenly, only then realizing why this name sounded familiar

“Yeah, the one and only” Jack replied, a smile evident in his voice.

“Oh my god, I love her videos!” Rae exclaimed at that “She’s so funny and sweet!”

“Yeah! Her new video is so freaking cute, I wish she’d upload more often.” Poki agreed.

“Right?” Jack said, clearly very proud of his friend. “But don’t let that sweet demeanor fool you guys cause she’s one of the best players I’ve encountered in this game.”

“That’s true, she’s a secret big brain genius” Toast confirmed, making Pewdiepie gasp once again.

“wHAT??YOU TWO PLAYED WITH HER?!” Felix’s offended voice boomed through everyone’s headphones “HOW DARE YOU. HOW COULD YOU NOT INVITE ME?!”

“That’s for not inviting me to your latest Cringe episode!” Jack was quick to respond, making others in the lobby laugh at their mini fight.

“Oh, so that’s where I recognized her from!” Sykkuno nearly shouted when he finally put two and two together. “I can’t wait to meet her, she seems like a really nice person.”

“She is! When she got impostor for the first time she refused to kill me” Toast explained, earning himself a couple of Aww’s from his friends. “So we just ran around the emergency button until I called the meeting and voted her off.”

“Yeah, only to be her first victim in the next game.” Jack all but giggled, clearly very amused at the memory of Y/N going into a full berserk mode. No one except for him and Toast knew how good she really was at this game...

“She’s basically the wolf in sheep’s skin” Felix concluded with a chuckle “Very soft wolf, however.”

“She’s like the complete opposite of Corpse, both in voice and personality” Jack suddenly said, making Felix laugh wholeheartedly at something only two of them understood at the moment.

“I don’t know how should I take that” Corpse admitted with a chuckle. He remained silent for most of the conversation since he didn’t really know who the guys were talking about. But he would lie if he said he wasn’t intrigued by this girl at least in the slightest. Although he heard about her channel, he hasn’t seen any of her videos, so he didn’t really know what to expect. But hearing what gamers like Sean and Felix said about her, he knew he’s not gonna be disappointed once the girl joins them in the game.

“Imagine Corpse and Y/N talking.” Felix said suddenly with a seemingly very amused voice.

“Imagine Corpse and Y/N both being Impostors” Toast said, which resulted in many of them shouting over each other at how crazy that would be.

“Alright, now that you mention this I start fearing the moment two of them meet” Jack confessed with loud laughter following the sentence. Corpse chuckled deeply under his breath, at the same time glancing at the questions his audience was asking him in his stream. He could hardly read any, as there were quite a lot of people asking, so all he saw was just a bunch of comments moving at the speed of light in his chat. He wouldn't say it out loud, but he was slightly nervous, seeing the growing number of people watching his stream. It was still a rather new thing to him, and he feared he'd say something inappropriate, or just make a complete idiot out of himself.

"At least no one can see me..." he mumbled under his breath after muting his microphone.

"Oh! Y/N just texted me! She's joining the call right now!"

"Fuck yeah!" Felix shouted excitedly "Just so you know Jack, I won't forget that you two played without me."

"Uh-oh. Is that a threat? Are you threatening me now?"

"It's a warning" Felix replied, receiving a series of gasps from other players. "If I get impostor, you're the first one on my list."

"Okay, everyone heard that! You know who to vote off when I'm dead!"

"It's so cool to play with someone new, I wonder if she's as good as you guys depict her" Sykkuno spoke up, but before anyone could answer his question, a new character popped up in the lobby.

"Hi everyone! I’m sorry I left you just like that, but this stream would be completely useless without me being able to answer your questions. Fortunately it wasn’t anything serious, I just had to readjust my mic and go through the settings to find what was wrong. Took some time, but here I am now!” Y/N chirped into her microphone, smiling apologetically at her webcam. At the moments like this, she really appreciated how supportive her audience was. No one was hating on her when she had to get off the stream for a couple of minutes, and everyone was just so understanding that it made her heart melt. Perhaps her audience wasn’t very big, but it felt almost like a second family to her.

“Anyway, as you already know from my twitter, today I’ll be playing Among Us with my friends and their friends! I can’t wait if I’m being honest, last time I played this game was so much fun, and there was only a few of us.” she admitted with a genuine smile on her face. “Let’s just text Sean now so we can get into the lobby...”

Y/N: Ready to play with you guys ^^

Jackaboy: Great! You got that mic fixed already?

Y/N: Yes, everything is fine. I’m sorry you had to wait so long.

Jackaboy: It’s all good kiddo, no worries. I’ll call you and send you the code in a sec.

Y/N: Perfect, thank you Sean :)

Jackaboy: Btw, everyone can’t wait to meet you ;-)Y/N stared at the screen for a moment, only now, seconds before joining the group, realizing how nervous she felt. From Sean’s tweets she saw earlier, she figured that the lobby was right now full of many famous streamers, those she wouldn’t even compare herself to. It’s not that she thought of herself very low, but... being among such youtube celebrities like them made her panic a little bit. She didn’t want to look like a complete fool amongst them.

Playing or recording with Sean and Felix was something else because she knew those guys for years (and yet still sometimes found herself thinking how lucky she got to be able to call them her friends). She felt good in their company, not worrying about choosing the right words. But amongst the rest of the players, she knew only Toast and talked with Rae maybe once in her life...

What if the rest won’t like her?

Y/N cleared her throat, realizing that she was still staring at her phone like hypnotized and her audience was already asking her what’s going on. She quickly typed in the code Sean had texted her and readjusted her headphones, before joining the discord chat.

“THERE SHE IS” screamed Sean, making her grin from ear to ear, hearing how excited he was “Little wonderchild!”

“I think you meant little TRAITOR” Felix corrected him with a scoff. A silence settled in the lobby as everyone was waiting for Y/N to speak up.

“Um... hello everyone..” she said softly, almost inaudibly, a sudden wave of shyness taking over her. “I’m Y/N”

“Oh, you were right about that Corpse thing!” replied another, also very soft and very sweet voice, and Y/N saw the image of someone named Lily pop up. “It’s like the exact opposite!”

“See? Told ya. Everyone, meet Y/N/N, the little angel from Y/C/N.”

“Hey Y/N!”

“Hi there!”

“Hey, what’s up?”

“H-Hi, so great to meet you, Y/N!” a very friendly sounding voice said, and a little lime astronaut with the name Sykkuno above it started running around her. “Can’t wait to play with you!”

“That’s so nice, thank you” she replied with a wide smile on her face, moving around his character as well. “I can’t wait to play with you too, actually with all you guys. It’s so great to be here with you.”

“Jack I swear she’s the cutest little thing I’ve ever heard. Where the hell did you find her?!” Poki all but yelled at the man, making Y/N giggle to herself and in-process loosen up a little bit. They all seemed like someone she’d happily be friends with.

“Or rather, where do you get one?” someone else commented, making them all burst into laughter, Y/N included.

“Guys, what did I say about that sweet demeanor...” Jack said after calming down from his fit “Don’t put your guard down just because she sounds like that!”

“Wait- what did you tell them about me?” Y/N asked confused, the tone of her voice making him laugh even more “Jack!”

“Don’t worry, only the good stuff” a very deep, low voice spoke up, leaving her taken aback for a moment. Her eyes widened slightly and she glanced at the name of that person, reading out CORPSE. Now that’s something she didn’t expect...

“Corpse, mind your manners! You didn’t even introduce yourself!”

“Oh, shit- yeah, sorry. Um, I’m Corpse, it’s very nice to meet you Y/N” he replied right after, making her lip corners curl up into a smile.

“Nice to meet you too Corpse, you have a really pleasant voice.” she spoke sweetly, completely unaware of the chaos that was taking place in her stream chat. She didn’t even think of it the way her audience did, she just simply spoke up her mind, and being an incredibly nice person - turned it into a compliment.

“Oh- wow. I mean, thank you so much. I love your voice too, it’s really sweet” he replied, nervously chuckling at the end, before muting his mic. It was, however, enough for Felix and Sean to start teasing him, as the two immediately screamed:

“SIIIMP!!!”

“It’s the voice Felix, I told you he’d fall into her trap!”

“Wait- he was just being nice, guys! Stop making fun of him” Y/N immediately defended the man, trying to speak up over the hysterical laughter of the other players.

“Oh my god, but what if they both get impostors and they both pull the voice cards on us?!” Rae managed to yell through all the noise, making Y/N even more confused.

“Wait, what? What do you mean? I don’t understand.”

“Don’t worry Y/N, that’s how I feel all the time around them.” Sykkuno seemed to be the only one who heard her question, as the rest continued their gabbing without giving her as much as a glance.

“Alright, let’s start the game maybe. I might have a few old scores to settle” Toast cleared his throat theatrically, his astronaut coming face to face with Y/N’s.

“Oh, you mean me? I thought I already apologized!” she replied frantically. “You gave me no choice Toast, I didn’t even want to kill you in the first place...”

“BUT YOU DID. IN THE VERY FIRST ROUND”

“I’m sorry!”

“Alright, enough! Toast, just don’t kill her right away, okay? Let her run around the map, fearing for her life for a moment.” Y/N gasped upon hearing Jack’s words, clearly sensing the smirk behind his voice.

“Wha- Jack?! Since when are you against me?!”

“Don’t worry Y/N, I won’t let them hurt you. You haven’t played with us yet, I’ll protect you.”

“Oh, thank you so much Sykkuno! I’ll protect you too!”

“Great. Another one simping...” was Felix’s last words, before the game began.

Y/N sighed in relief upon seeing the word crewmate forming on her screen, but at the same time feared Toast’s inevitable revenge. She thought they'd already buried the hatchet, but it seemed that he was desperate to make her pay for the last time they played together.

“Aw, Sykkuno was serious” she mumbled with a smile, when his lime astronaut started circling her white one, so she would follow him. “Okay, let’s do some tasks.”

They both made their way towards the medbay, Sykkuno patiently waiting nearby as she did the scan, then Y/N waiting for him to do the same. The moment his little character stepped towards her, a meeting was called by none other than Felix.

“What happened?” Rae asked.

“I called the meeting because I’m afraid of Jack” he responded, causing everyone to laugh. “Seriously though! Dude’s been following me around the whole time.”

“I was just making sure nobody kills you.”

“Yeah don’t go all Sykkuno on me!” Felix screamed, making the call erupt into even more laughter.

“Alright, are we skipping?”

“Yeah.”

“Guys, my life is in danger!” Felix wouldn’t give up. “Come on, show some support! Y/N? You played with him, you know his techniques!”

“Sorry Felix” Y/N giggled, clicking the skip button.

When the next round began, Sykkuno was quick to join Y/N on her way towards admin, where they both found Poki doing the upload. They did the card swipe and left her there, when the lights suddenly went off.

“Uh-oh. Let’s head the opposite direction, Sykkuno” the girl murmured, dancing around his character and heading towards Comms instead of going to Electrical. It was the easiest way to die, after all.

Once they entered the room and waited for someone to fix the lights, Y/N could see another figure appear in the same location. She couldn’t recognize whose character it was, but upon seeing the horns on the helmet she smiled to herself.

“Hey there, Corpse” she said, walking up to the black astronaut, who was standing still in the same place as if he was just watching her and Sykkuno run around Comms instead of doing their tasks.

They stood like that for a couple of seconds until Corpse turned around and ran away, and that’s when the first body was reported.

“Oh no, Jack!”

“Poor guy. He’s gonna haunt us now.”

“Where’s the body?”

“Navigation” replied Rae, who was the one to find Sean’s green astronauts’ body “Didn’t see anyone around, but I’m pretty sure someone just vented right in front of my eyes...”

“Any suspicions?” Toast asked.

“Um, not really sure, it was the exact same moment the lights went off. I was doing tasks with Jack and then he just died. I only saw the vent close, nothing or no one else.”

“Okay, where are you guys right now?”

“I’m in admin with Dave, we only passed Poki when we got there.” Lily’s voice sounded out, quickly being joined by Poki’s explanation.

“Yeah, I was finishing the upload when you guys came in, Y/N and Sykkuno saw it”

“Did you see her?” Toast asked, addressing his question towards the white and lime astronauts.

“Yes, we were doing the card swipe before going to Comms. Corpse joined us for a moment and then left.”

“Yeah, I was on my way to fix the lights when I stumbled upon them in Comms, the body was reported the exact moment I left.”

“Can someone confirm this? I mean, did someone see you besides the two of them?” Toast continued his questioning.

“I think I only saw Felix in Medbay.”

“Hmm, so no one really knows where you were this whole time. You could easily lure Jack into Navigation and kill him there. Is that what you did, Corpse?”

“Woah, that’s some serious accusation” Corpse replied in his usual, low and calm voice. “Where were you Toast? You seem the only one who still doesn’t have an alibi”

“Neither does Felix.” Y/N spoke innocently, and the mentioned man quickly started his explanation.

“Okay, I was with Jack at the beginning but he clearly can’t confirm this since someone snapped his fucking neck. We’ve split up in O2 after doing our tasks and then he must’ve gone with Rae. I just wandered around the map, escaping from the death.”

“Hmm, so not only were you one of the last people to see him alive, but you also admit to not doing your tasks” Y/N said, trying her best to keep her voice steady and stop herself from laughing. She was sure Sykkuno was doing the same thing, they both refused to do any tasks after the lights went off, after all.

“Yeah, but does that already makes me an Imposter? I’m just scared for my life, that’s all.”

“Y/N has some good logic, but I’m not really sure it’s Pewds. I mean, I saw him in Medbay and he really seemed to be just jogging around.” Corpse said, his voice almost immediately doing its magic, as people more or less willingly agreed to skip this round as well.

“I think it’s Felix. I mean, I haven’t played with him yet, but I have this feeling that he’s just acting.” Y/N said to her chat after muting herself. She went towards Weapons to do another task, seeing Sykkuno’s little character follow her once again, but the doors were suddenly locked and his lime astronaut remained in Cafeteria. “Oh no, Sykkuno” she sighed with a pout on her face, deciding against waiting for him and risking getting her neck snapped. She finished her task in Weapons and moved towards another location, when suddenly Corpse appeared in front of her, coming right out of nowhere.

“Oh- Corpse, you scared me to death” Y/N breathed a laugh, watching as his character stood still for a couple of seconds, before circling around her white astronaut. Y/N nodded her head with a smile, even though he couldn’t see her, and followed him in Shields, where they found Poki’s dead body.

“The body is in Shields” Y/N replied right after reporting the body, only to gasp in shock when she realized more than one person was killed. Red crosses decorated not only Poki’s name but were also visible next to Dave and Lily.

“What the hell?!” Felix all but yelled into his mic, obviously shocked just like everyone else who was still alive.

“Now that’s... a lot of bodies” Sykkuno mumbled under his breath.

“Alright, who’s in Shields? Y/N, you said you found the body there, which one?”

“Poki’s, Corpse was there with me” her reply was followed by his short and low hum.

“Sykkuno, where are you? I didn’t see you anywhere since the last round.” Felix asked, clearly accusing the lime astronaut of being a murderer.

“I was... doing the wires in electrical, Toast was there for a moment as well.”

“Yeah but I was only searching for the body, so I saw you maybe for a second” Toast replied, building even more suspicions around Sykkuno.

“But- guys, you know I wouldn’t kill two people in one round, let alone four of them.”

“No one says you did that, I only mentioned that you were nowhere to be seen. You could’ve been sabotaging the map for the other Impostor” Felix said nonchalantly.

“Guys, I-”

“It’s him! It must be him!” Rae shouted through her mic.

“Sykkuno is 100% innocent, I can vouch for him” Y/N’s voice sounded out in everyone’s headphones “We were together since the start of the game and he didn’t kill me, even though he had quite a number of chances to do so.”

“Weren’t you with Corpse this time?” Felix asked suspiciously.

“I was! But at the beginning, I was with Sykkuno, until someone locked him in Cafeteria. That’s when we split up.”

“And you haven’t seen him ever since?”

“Well, no, but-”

“Then I can assure you it was only a matter of time before he’d stab you in the back” Toast concluded, making Sykkuno gasp in confusion.

“Wha- No, I would never do that! Y/N is our guest, I was just making sure she was okay!”

“Sykkuno, simping won’t save your life right now”

“Wha- I- Guys!” he tried to stutter out some logical explanation “Y/N, don’t believe them!”

“I don’t, I know you’re innocent! C’mon guys, he wouldn’t do it!”

“Yeah yeah, let’s kick him out. Corpse, who are you voting?” Toast asked, and Y/N could see the I voted sign next to his character.

“I kinda feel like Felix tries to shift the blame onto Sykkuno. He didn’t even tell his location, and was already throwing accusations on someone else.” Corpse replied after a moment, making the smile widen on Y/N’s face. Someone was finally on her side!

“That’s because he can’t even explain himself!” Felix exclaimed, voting as well.

“Besides, I’m pretty sure if it wasn’t for whoever locked that door, Y/N would be dead as well!”

“No, I told you I-!”

“Guys, we have ten seconds to vote. Rae?”

“I think it’s him as well. He was acting suspiciously since we started this round. I vote Sykkuno”

“But..!”

“No, Sykkuno...” Y/N whispered with a pout on her lips, when she saw the number of people who voted for her lime friend.

Sykkuno was ejected.

“Alright, I’m pretty sure it’s Felix. I saw Rae multiple times and she didn’t kill me, Toast also doesn’t act very Impostor like, but maybe that’s just one of his strategies... Corpse is with me again, I don’t think that’s him, I mean, he followed me around last round, but still didn’t do anything, and even vouched for me and Sykkuno when we were both clearly chilling in comms. It can’t be him... right?”

Dead body reported.

“I just saw Corpse kill Toast, then vent!” Rae’s voice blared through Y/N’s headphones, as she looked in shock at the red cross next to Toast’s name. If not him, then..?

“What?” the accused man asked calmly “That’s a self-report, she’s trying to frame me. You guys can’t possibly believe her.”

“I believe her. I saw you enter the Electrical with Toast, then he’s suddenly dead” Felix said.

“That’s because she vented in there and killed him.”

“No! I swear, Y/N/N you have to believe me!” she directed her words towards the girl who remained silent during their discussion, processing her accusations over and over in her head. “I was fixing the wires, Toast was doing another task, and then boom! I see Corpse snapping his neck!”

“How could you see that if the lights were off?” Y/N suddenly asked, making Rae cut her own sentence off “No one went to fix them, they were off the entire round.”

Silence.

“It’s Rae, it must be her” Corpse couldn’t help but laugh wholeheartedly at how small was the mistake which completely blew Rae’s cover. “We’re voting Rae, right Y/N?”

“No! Guys, I mean, let me explain, I-!”

Rae was ejected.

“Now that was something I didn’t expect. I would’ve never thought it was her, I even suspected that Sykkuno might really have been the other Impostor, but now... It’s just me, Corpse, and Felix. I’m clear, clearly, so it must be one of them. And since Corpse protected me for the past few rounds, there’s no other option than...”

Her eyes suddenly widened when the realization hit her, and she quickly turned around to speed towards the emergency button. Fortunately, no one was around to stop her from calling the meeting.

“Felix.” Y/N started, trying to contain her excitement and sound seriously “Where were you when Sean was killed?”

Neither Corpse of Felix said a word, as it was probably the last question they expected her to ask. Felix cleared his throat, however, and finally replied:

“Y/N, that was literally the beginning of a game. How am I supposed to remember what I did then?”

“Well” she said nonchalantly “I, for example, clearly remember the things you said even when we were in the lobby.”

“What are you implying?”

“Wasn’t it you, who told everyone that Sean was your number one if you get Impostor?” she asked with a wicked smile on her face. Felix was dumbfounded, he obviously didn’t expect her to pull that card on him, hell, he didn’t even know how she knew about it since she wasn’t even in the call at the time.

“FELIX” Corpse suddenly broke the silence, simultaneously breaking the said man from his train of thoughts.

“Okay, first of all- YOU WEREN’T EVEN IN THE CALL WHEN I SAID THAT” he yelled through his mic, making both Y/N and Corpse laugh, as it only confirmed their suspicions.

“See? You only proved my point.”

“Oh, fuck’s sake- I was just joking okay?!” he tried to defend himself, but hearing how he couldn’t even contain his own laughter anymore, it was clear he already accepted the defeat. “It wasn’t serious, god damn it!”

“You know what to do, Y/N” Corpse’s voice asked through her headphones, and surely, she knew exactly what to do.

“C’mon Y/N, that’s not fair! At least let me explain myself!”

“Bye Felix” she said in an overly dramatic tone before Corpse voted as well.

Soon enough, the sign VICTORY could be seen on her screen, which made her squeak and joy. This game was really fun, even though she was so scared of being killed first.

“I knew it! I knew you would figure out it’s him! That son of a bitch who murdered me!” Jack basically yelled out, clearly very happy about the result.

“Y/N, seriously now, how did you know I’ve said that?” Felix asked without even hiding his surprised tone.

“Let’s just say I might’ve stolen some of your viewers, Felix” she admitted, winking at her webcam, a new wave of comments landing on her chat. “Thanks guys!”

“Okay, that is rude and not fair!”

“It helped me win, so I’ve got nothing else to say” Y/N grinned from ear to ear, before muting herself for a moment to finally answer some of the questions from her chat, while the rest took a quick break to eat something or go to the bathroom.

She was halfway through telling the story of how she met Sean when she noticed she got a message from a private discord chat.

CORPSE: That was really impressive :)

Y/N smiled to herself upon seeing his text and quickly typed out the answer.

Y/N: Thanks!! I wouldn’t have done that without you though, you stood up for me and Sykkuno and all

Y/N: Also, thanks for protecting me from being murdered ^^

CORPSE: No problem, I knew you were innocent right away.

CORPSE: Anyway, good game, Sean was right saying that you’re one of the best players

She couldn’t help the blush that arose on her cheeks, it was very sweet of him to say that, even though she didn’t actually do much except for exposing Felix.

Y/N: I wasn’t an Impostor though, so you didn’t really see much :)

She watched the three dots beside his name, that signaled he was still texting. The chat was completely forgotten, but people seemed to quickly notice that small, shy smile on her lips, and the pink tint decoring her cheeks.

CORPSE: Okay, now I’m intrigued...

Y/N: Maybe we’ll both be Impostors one day ^^

CORPSE: Can’t wait for that to happen.

Soon enough, they returned to the lobby to begin another game. Y/N glanced at her chat for a second, and the moment she returned her eyes to the game, her jaw basically dropped.

IMPOSTOR was written in bold letters in the middle of the red screen, right above her name.

Corpse’s little character was standing beside her.

(In the movie there were several Eva). 2) Are all humans aware that robots have feelings (or will be)? 3) The kids were able to leave with the reader once they returned to earth? 4) Humans who went to space gained weight? 5) Will we be able to have friendly interactions with Vanessa once Auto (or whoever the evil robot is) is dismantled? (In the movie the captain was very excited about what was involved on earth, imagining Vanessa like that is nice). 5) Do you think the humans who stayed will be able to get along with the ones who came back? After all they left the planet to rot. 6) Is the Eclipse form part of their coding or something that Moon&Sun developed? 7) Do they fly around like Eve? 8) How skilled are they at taking care of plants, or will the reader teach them once they are on earth? 9) Do they have a weakness for children or humans in general? 10) What will Sun and Moon do once the reader passes to another life? She can't live for centuries like the robots. 11) If Vanessa is the captain, does that mean she is kind of the owner of everything related to the fazbear franchise? 12) Will the reader end up with prosthetics or was that just an idea? 13) I understand that there are few animals, many of the large marine and terrestrial or carnivorous animals are extinct, do you think there is a way to revive them? Not sure!! I think maybe that could be something up to interpretation- they could be unique, but it's also impractical for them to be the ONLY ones when the Earth is so large and they'd need multiple bots out there searching for life.

I think it's something that most humans are unsure of! Most of them still treat Robots kindly though- like looking at your Roomba and giving it a name and treating it like a little Creacher. It's this odd middle ground for the humans on the axiom- this limbo between believing in their sentience and believing that it's just their programming. They would fully learn later on!

I assume you mean the babies on the ship!! I think the nanny bots would still be good with taking care of them but Y/N would probably take them to the human headquarters to learn from experts about the world, it's history, and how to take care of it (and themselves!).

That's something I haven't been sure about! I like the message and themes of humanity becoming something unrecognizable in their generations of carefree dependence on the axiom after abandoning the Earth, but I also don't want to err on the side of fatphobia- I'm unsure of the right call here! Originally I made Y/N shaped like that, completely covered and with clothes like that (laced with metal and poofy) so that Sun and Moon wouldn't initially recognize them as human. Both because there's metal in their clothes and because they don't look like the humans they're used to. I don't want to make the human's physical appearances the butt of any joke, and as a fat woman myself I certainly don't want to make any fat folk feel bad because their bodies are framed as "bad end capitalism, a ridiculous outcome that we Cannot Let Happen." It's tricky! Let me know what y'all think. I could leave it up to you guys too!

Of course! She's not a bad person- she's just as much a victim of Fazcorp as everyone else on the ship. 5.2 (because the numbers are repeated and I don't want this to be confusing!) I think they'll get on just fine! C: It's been hundreds of years since the original humans left the Earth- these people are not their ancestors, and that's understood (though I'm sure their initial attitude is unsure and gruff about it). And to be fair, it isn't completely the original human's fault either. Fazcorp is the one that did it, destroying the Earth and leaving, and a lot of things that needed to happen probably weren't in a typical citizen's control. That isn't to say there's NOTHING they could have done. And I'm sure many tried. But the outcome of "Post-apocalyptic world destroyed by a single monopolizing organization destroying the Earth in their pursuit of money and control" isn't something that happens with Fazcorp coming out with a squeaky-clean moral record. They had their avalanche of illegal, shady activities and deals. And when one company has a monopoly on EVERYTHING? There's little people can do unless they ALL unite together. And they didn't, not in time.

It's not part of their coding! They hadn't ever done it before the scene that I sketched out. It comes out with extreme emotions that are mutual between the both of them- intense stress, anger, panic, etc.

Y/N teaches them how to take care of plants! Their original purpose was only to find life and bring it back as proof, but they didn't know a thing about growing plants and keeping them alive at first. Something they and Y/N can bond over!

I'd like to think they do! It may not be programmed into them the same, but I think they like kids. Children are the most likely to treat a robot as a person anyway- humans pack bond easily in general, but children are just generally more open-minded.

ON GOD EVERY TIME THIS THOUGHT COMES INTO MY HEAD I JUST BRUSH IT OFF. YEAH y/n (probably) can't live forever but I'm not sure what comes after! Sun and Moon will have other people in their life to lean on and they'll probably go forward with Y/N in their heart, determined to continue repairing the earth in their name.

Nah, Vanessa's not the owner. Even in the original movie, the captain wasn't someone who was in COMPLETE control- they had surprisingly little control, less than they thought they had. There are other Axioms out there all owned by the enterprise too. Perhaps somewhere out there there's a CEO, but perhaps not. At this point, everything's running on autopilot.

It's an idea I feel really good about! I think it's something I do want to make happen. Now if only I could draw prosthetics well 😔

I do believe they have that technology! When shit started taking a turn for the worst, a lot of scientists did their due diligence in storing the necessary components and DNA to someday revive as many animals as they could down the line. They couldn't get everything, but in time many animals will be able to come back C: 13.2 They have to go through an extensive cleaning process for their water. They may have a machine for it, but I think a lot of it is also manual labor to boil and ensure the water isn't contaminated. They have ways to store a larger amount of water so they can stock up and not have to worry about it every day, but it isn't easy!

Maybe Y/N can have one of the first Dogs/Cats to be revived 👀 like, the animal isn't perfect- it can't reproduce and they still need to flesh out some things. But this animal is here now, and someone needs to take care of it! Now Gregory the Roach has a buddy 😊

No but in the beginning it's the entire class realizing they all like Izuku and fighting each other for his attention (especially the more possessive ones like Katsuki and Shouto)

But then they see him do something absolutely insane and reckless and the class collectively realizes 'holy shit keeping him alive is gonna be a group effort'

And that's how the class changed from 'competing for Izuku's affection' to 'tag teaming to ensure that Izuku is properly healthy and also spoiled to all hell'

Iida and Momo run meetings where the class plan out schedules to make sure everyone gets an equal amount of time with Izuku in half-dates half-babysitting-duty

Izuku has no idea these meetings are happening or that he now has about nineteen/twenty girlfriends and boyfriends until Kaminari finally points it out and he has a crisis.

"I'm not that bad, am I?"

"Deku, if I hadn't known you since the day you were fucking born, I would've been convinced your quirk was a villain magnet."

i love me some loving deku hours!! and i’ve been pushing the underground “deku fanclub” ran by uraraka for so so long so this one feeds my tiny soul

ok but imagine the creation of the deku fanclub:

it all starts with kirishima and bakugou’s first interaction about midoriya.

kirishima and bakugou are long friends already, hanging out and having fun, but one of the pros of being friends with bakugou was kirishima seeing midoriya in different settings outside of being his gym partner and school work and stuff. he sees midoriya in a different light and thinks, i wanna be more than bros with mido.

so he tells bakugou, asks him if he has a chance or if bakugou would grant him his blessings to ask midoriya out, but, well, bakugou likes midoriya too.

“shitty hair i like him too what the fuck,” bakugou says, tired because he knew.

even if kirishima didn’t realize his feelings yet, bakugou could clearly see it and recognize the shine in kirishima’s eyes is the same as the shine in bakugou’s own eyes, both caused by their nerd.

and kirishima’s like “ohhh shit ok bro.” so they create this bro code of not asking midoriya out yet and if they really want to, to tell each other for transparency’s sake.

well their bro code doesn’t last because todoroki comes along with sero.

“you’ve got to be fucking kidding me,” bakugou says as they’re all gathered in todoroki’s room.

“hey man, no need to be angry because have you seen him? walking adonis if i know my greek mythology that well,” sero replies back.

bakugou introduces the bro code which they both agree but, again, it doesn’t last long because iida, uraraka, and asui come along.

“we have to stop meeting in icyhot’s room,” bakugou hisses, squeezed between both todoroki and kirishima, “why the fuck are you two even in the boys’ dorms?”

“i heard the ugly bro code from todoroki and i think we need to think bigger. the fact that you guys think that suppressing your feelings is healthy is to both you all and deku-kun is crazy. so we’re here to propose a better way,” uraraka chirps in reply, smiling prettily as though iida’s hulk of a mass isn’t squishing her to todoroki’s wall.

so uraraka officially calls them the deku fanclub.

the purposes:

allowing all simping for midoriya (this includes trying to impress him or spoil him)

support group especially for todoroki (who doesn’t know what love is really so they’re helping him get to terms with the actual emotion) and iida (who is too embarrassed to admit that he has feelings for his best friend and often can’t function in normal setting anymore)

the group gradually increases because kaminari, tokoyami, aoyama, and jirou realize that they want to be part of the deku fanclub. tokoyami swears he’s not in love but the way dark shadow exposes him during their meetings, of course, disproves him.

eventually all of 1a (except midoriya) becomes a part of the deku fanclub.

with both momo and uraraka organizing the official deku fanclub, plus iida finally getting over his embarrassment, the club officially rolls.

the rules change and get scrapped, but everything officially changes after the school festival when they learn that midoriya’s ambushed by gentle criminal and la brava.

they met up in the common rooms this time, especially careful because according to tokoyami, sometimes midoriya wakes up in the middle of the night to grab a glass of water.

“he was just trying to get apples. APPLES,” mina hisses, eyes wide in both wonder and worry.

“who even allowed him to go out alone?” shoji asks.

“hey maybe that should be a rule. always go with midoriya.”

“but isn’t that too constricting, ojiro-kun?”

“fuck you’re right.”

so everyone silently explodes in a flurry of trying to discuss which would be more helpful for midoriya. it takes them 30 minutes to gather themselves and from then on, iida and momo finalize the club’s rules.

deku fanclub rules (the essentials):

1. never tell deku (midoriya izuku, sunshine ball, the nerd, etc.) about the existence of this club

2. the founder of the club cannot run as one of the presidents (bakugou, the founder, tried fighting this rule but was beaten by both uraraka and momo. currently, the presidents are uraraka, momo, and iida.)

3. the club members are divided into three groups, under one of the three presidents, to help coordinate everyone.

4. unless it’s on schedule, no one should interrupt each other’s time with midoriya

5. whatever midoriya says, goes

6. if midoriya’s going out BY HIMSELF, ask him if you can assist him

7. never tell all might about “deku fanclub” because he can’t hide a secret from midoriya

8. midoriya likes dark shadow – this doesn’t add up with tokoyami’s time so no one complain!
