Silly Little Headcanons

(To make up for my lack of fics I promise I'm writing something, also late Halloween stuff but who cares! I forgot to post this earlier)

Wanda Maximoff

Apart from the very obvious witchy costume, I feel like Wanda would also dress up as a cat. I very firmly believe one of her costume choices would be an orange cat to match with Natasha's black cat. Maybe for funzies, maybe a genuine costume she wanted to have matched with, but she would wear it at least once.

I also think she would dress up as another Avenger to poke fun at them, probably as Steve and imitate his voice whenever she talks, or maybe Clint and hide in the vents to jumpscare him whenever he does eventually go there as well.

In an AU (my brain) where Pietro is still around circa Avenger days, she'd also for sure have matching costumes with Pietro. Everyone would think it was his idea and she got dragged along, but I can imagine her being equally as excited. Probably dressing up as their favourite characters at the moment.

Natasha Romanoff

Natasha strikes to me as a very vampire person. Probably doesn't really do much for Halloween, but dresses up to make the others happy, and for that she chooses to be a vampire every single time, but every year she makes it look more real, to the point where the others wonder if she truly is a vampire.

Also a black cat, as stated in Wanda's. Matching with her because Wanda practically dragged her into it. No more else to say. She is so black cat coded.

I also for sure think she would have dressed up as James Bond at least once, and this comes from having watched her watch Moonraker at least 6 times (Rewatching Black Widow much). Probably had Yelena convince her into doing it and then never did again. “Romanoff..... Natasha Romanoff....“ Followed by a disappointed sigh and an “I'm never doing that again“.

I don't really think it's fair to dismiss the idea that that guy might have been framed for killing the CEO as like an unfounded conspiracy theory when NYPD has a proven history of planting/fabricating evidence on people. in 2011 there was a massive investigation of the NYPD and hundreds of cases against people were dismissed after a former police officer testified that they literally have a name for planting evidence on people: flaking. you cannot be out here acting like considering the possibility that cops who do this shit under normal circumstances might possibly also do it when they're under intense global pressure and scrutiny is the same as republicans thinking democrats run a secret pedophile ring in the basement of a pizza restaurant

#it astounds me how willing people are to cosign any shit cops and feds say #cops literally call testifying testi-lying. because they lie so much. its normal for them and they think little of it #that ones pretty easy to source and is well known in the industry wo i wont link you but if you google it you will see lots of sources #like just google the word testilying. so many articles come up its actually sad

I Saw the TV Glow is such a uniquely, devastatingly queer story. Two queer kids trapped in suburbia. Both of them sensing something isn’t quite right with their lives. Both of them knowing that wrongness could kill them. One of them getting out, trying on new names, new places, new ways of being. Trying to claw her way to fully understanding herself, trying to grasp the true reality of her existence. Succeeding. Going back to help the other, to try so desperately to rescue an old friend, to show the path forward. Being called crazy. Because, to someone who hasn’t gotten out, even trying seems crazy. Feels crazy. Looks, on the surface, like dying.

And to have that other queer kid be so terrified of the internal revolution that is accepting himself that he inadvertently stays buried. Stays in a situation that will suffocate him. Choke the life out of him. Choke the joy out of him. Have him so terrified of possibly being crazy that he, instead, lives with a repression so extreme, it quite literally is killing him. And still, still, he apologizes for it. Apologizes over and over and over, to people who don’t see him. Who never have. Who never will. Because it’s better than being crazy. Because it’s safer than digging his way out. Killing the image everyone sees to rise again as something free and true and authentic. My god. My god, this movie. It shattered me.

Prowl would SO not approve keeping humans around. Kids would hate him #but also he would be completely right. Because by keeping humans that close Autobots basically show that the humans can be used as leverage #against them you know.#He would immediately suggest getting rid of kids and hiring actual competent adults instead. So all hacking can be done by professionals #and all infiltrating can be done by people who are at least old enough to drink you know #yea kids would haaaate him so much #he would also build make all kinds of little annoying gadgets bc I have read Covenant of Primus and tfp Prowl is smart like that #he would be going around sticking trackers on every enemy he fights #and then triangulating Cons positions by the coordinates where their signals stop tracking #bc Nemesis blocks them #He would also keep sending Smokey to ghost through walls and steal all kinds of valuable shit from Megsy #they would be such a menace together #man this is getting kinda long I should probably stop

The real reason everyone makes fun of Dicks Discowing outfit is because he's the only one that can somehow pull it off

Every superhero and vigilante has has a costume like that at some point, something daring or a bit ridiculous that in hindsight that they just couldn't make work for whatever reason. Nightwing? The pretty motherfucker not only made it work, he slayed in that outfit. It looks ridiculous by itself on display in the batcave but not when Nightwing puts it on

The only reason Dick doesn't know this is because all his siblings have collectively gaslit him into thinking that it's his worst costume to date.
