Honestly, this was something I had more subconsciously than anything, so expanding on this idea is a little funny, because I think: where did this actually come from?

When I try to connect the dots the first thing that comes to me is G-rev, through the battle between Kai and Brooklyn. I mean, Kai was so f.. injured - aside from the censorship, and in the end he's totally fine, no scars, wow.

Despite being a common logic in anime of this genre, this ended up becoming an HC, so the first thing I thought was that Dranzer had something to do with it:

- I think that bit-beasts in general do this to a greater or lesser extent, and this is not something exclusive to Dranzer, in this case she just has a high healing capacity.

- Some injuries she is not able to heal, whether caused by other specific bit-beasts or from the time he was at the Abbey.

- I have this HC that has an ugly scar between his hip and thigh from the Abbey facilities.

- Minor wounds and scratches usually disappear within a few hours or up to a day. I always think about how funny it sounds for someone to see this firsthand, like some of his teammates. 

- He's probably careless about his own injuries because of this.

- The fact that he heals quickly is closely related to his mental state and his synchrony with Dranzer, obviously he is not capable of doing this if he is too weak.

- The previous idea is also linked to another HC that all bladers with bit-beasts spend a very small amount of energy to maintain their beasts (like a rental lol), but Kai is not known for saving energy when necessary, so sometimes he's not able to heal.

- Dranzer also has a mechanism to "leave" his master if Kai is too fragile, this makes him recover on his own without worrying about her (he hates this btw, but he only has himself to blame for being so reckless).

- While Dranzer is capable of providing healing, Black Dranzer is essentially 'self-destructive', she needs to absorb energy from somewhere, and if she cannot do this through other bit-beasts, she will do so through her own master by default. This would probably also explain why they wouldn't complement each other so easily.

An unrelated extra: I find Kai and Dranzer's relationship extremely interesting and I love playing with the idea that even though he has "lost" Dranzer many times, he will never get used to the feeling. And he'll be anxious and stressed without her, really restless and sensitive. If I were to put emotions into Dranzer about this, she would probably roll her eyes at Kai still being an impatient child.

I think more games with romance should include polyamory as an option. Not just because of inclusion purposes but also because a lot of these games are super long RPGs and I sure as hell don't have time to replay the game 5 times to romance everyone I wanted to.

Is it sad to admit that my reaction to all this Mr Beast drama was "What? You mean to tell me that the guy who missed the point of Squid Game and who spoke highly of Elon Musk on various podcasts turned out to be a scumbag? Who could have possibly seen that coming?!"

Danny was tired. Tucker and Sam had drifted away over the duration of high school. The ghost attacks and danger had been the main factor that started the dissipation of their friendship. Jazz had left for college a while ago leaving him to deal with his parents alone. He had eventually created his own secret base and left the house permanently even if it was technically illegal at 16. No one noticed since he still went to school.

Including being a teen hero who wasn’t appreciated in Amity just was the icing on the cake. After receiving approval from clockwork and mastering his portal abilities, he closed the portal down. It wasn’t easy to do but he made sure everyone was out of the blast range when it shut down. The Fenton house was gone but it hadn’t been home for quite some time.

It was because he was so tired that he was where he was. Drifting out of Earth’s atmosphere, Danny let himself luxuriate in the feeling of space. It made his core hum pleasantly. He moved to a good spot still in Earth’s gravity and curled up and just let himself drift along in a haze. He toned down his glow and his body started to slowly fade into the space around him till he was practically invisible.

He floated in this haze for probably a week, slowly recuperating and feeling himself slowly change. There was no one to miss him for any length of time and he wasn’t worried about his human life at all. Honestly he probably would have drifted longer but something woke him up. Some guy yelling about conquering Earth or something.

Annoyed at being woken up by a fruitloop Danny allowed his form to grow with the power of space he collected and snarled out a “Oy fruitloop! I was woken up because of you! Shut up already!” and smacked him into the sun with a giant hand. Turning his ire on the army with the fruitloop he quickly sent them flying with a blast of power. It would take them many years to gather up again with how hard he sent them flying.

Huffing, he turned and glanced at the group of people left. Shrinking down he spoke and gestures wildly. “I was taking the best nap of my afterlife and was woken up by those pests. You gotta better place I can nap?”

Luckily someone was quick to let him know they had a place. He was guided to a space station soon after and was soon sleeping on the comfiest bed ever.

Among the many unsettling cases birthed from the rise of the five new Beasts, none have been as neither concerning nor mysterious as the Lambs of Penance. Spawned from the remains of the Vanilla Kingdom, pilgrims and cookies who were once swayed by the compassion of Pure Vanilla became devoted to his ultimate truth as Penance: that the world is plagued by a darkness that can be cleansed only by him.

With robes of white and gold, bright smiles, and bandages that connect them with the Healer, the Lambs spend their days spreading the message of purity and penance to the rest of earthbread. While they seek for kindred spirits to bring into the fold, they plant vanilla orchids in different places. They are proficient and discreet with their methods: no matter how tight the kingdom’s security is, a lamb can slip in and plant an orchid, thus extending the Beast’s vision and power to where it grows. There is nowhere a Lamb goes where Saint Vanilla will not reach.

The most devoted of the beast’s fanatics is his bishop, Cream Wafer Cookie. As his right hand, he is in charge of all of the cult’s operations, gleefully aiding in fulfilling his lord’s wishes. Saint Vanilla himself has little involvement in the operations beyond certain rituals and appearances, as the bishop and his followers do everything for him in his stead. It gives the beast time to walk the world by himself, dedicating time to the affairs of the other neobeasts among other personal goals.

However, the one true goal for everyone is for Saint Vanilla to rid the world of darkness and sin, to lift the souls of everyone and give them the salvation that will usher in enlightenment and bliss. It may mean the permanent departure from everything they know, the Lambs are aware, but there is nothing they want more. They are ready to follow their god to the new reign of Penance, or die trying; and if that is so, their bodies will be used to grow the very orchids they plant. It’s only worthy of them to serve the beast even in death.

This cult may seem harmless, especially with their prioritization of pacifism, peace, and love; but make no mistake. When the Saint calls, the Lambs deliver; whether it be to plant a flower or to make a cookie disappear, a receiver of the light’s lethal embrace. After all, Penance is gospel, and all will rejoice under its wings…
