I already felt like this but reading Forest's statement just reaffirms it for me. The treatment of the Koreans on the server just feels so emblematic of the character of qstudios. They built up a crazy amount of hype regarding the addition of the Korean cc's, the teases for their inclusion was heavily tied with the hype built around the reset given the cultural references. Only for them to join a server that is going through a major internal crisis (because god forbid qstudios let's all the precious hype they built up go to waste by waiting), a singular fluent admin whose got constantly ignored by the higher-ups and then unceremoniously fired, and poorly accommodates for their timezone in it's events- leaving them behind as soon as they became 'old news' for the next big things- it kinda reminds me of how the french are treated on there.
They care more about flare and attention over putting in the actual work to make an enjoyable experience for everyone- just rush into new thing after new thing and leave everything else behind with nothing but empty promises and a bad taste in their mouth. (it even kinda makes me think of the feds and all of their abandoned buildings lol)
I care a lot about the server, I just wish it was anyone but qstudios running it.
This is the kind of thing that could’ve been shrugged off as « oh well they underestimate how many admins speaking the language they would need, they forgot to amenage events taking the new timezone into account, mistakes happen ! » IF ONLY IT WAS THE FIRST TIME.
PT, FR, and KR speakers all had very few admins sharing their languages on the server side of things, leading to the admins having to multitask like crazy, and the updates accounts for these languages also were understaffed, leading to the communities being sometimes sidelined.
FR speakers complained a lot at the beginning that the events were happening at 2/3/4am for them only for the same thing to happen to korean speakers, finale was at 4 am ????
I understand that with the addition of people from Korea, the timezones covered a huge part of the good making hours fitting everyone difficult but then only add more people when you’re ready to accommodate them ? Not even talking about events, without more ccs from timezones close to them, Korean ccs would have had the fame fate that Spanish ccs had at the beginning of the server aka logging on when almost no one was online.
7 months since the last time they had added people and this is how the new community is welcomed ? 😭 God this pisses me off because I know a lot of korean fans were so hyper by this only to be left feeling disappointed.
Like a lot of things, Qstudios had a good idea that they thought would give them hype, and then forgot that they needed to work on making sure the idea was well executed.
don’t worry the pommunist customer service worked its magic, don’t forget to leave us a 5 stars review o7

Have you always known you want to be a literary translator?
Lol, no.
I think I've told this story here before, but here it goes, like, from the very beginning.
Ever since I can remember, I've always had a knack for storytelling - I actually had a short story published when I was 11 -, and got into fanfic at 12. Back then, it was only in Hungarian, and at the point like 99% of Hungarian fanfics were Harry Potter. It was like other fandoms didn't exist.
But a year or two later I got into a fandom (X-Men: Evolution) that very little Hungarian following (well, I remember there being a few fics, but really just a few and not the best), so I found myself having to venture to English sites - and what happened is that my "good for school" English got... pretty good. By the time I was 15, I was reading novels in English and trying my hand in writing fics in English (I was shameless, too. I lived in a dorm during my high school years, and I remember I was the only member of an English club there, so I got the teacher holding the club to devote it to editing my fics. Something I would definitely not have the guts to do today). In the next few years, I pretty much transitioned to English fandom places.
Then the summer I turned 17 - that was the age of Twilight, and everything was about vampires - I found a book series that spoke to me: it had vampires and a touch of Wicca, and the main character, at least it was prominently displayed in the blurb, was struggling with Math and paralell parking. My weakest subject was Math and I was struggling to get my license at the time - this book spoke to me. Looking back, the series wasn't... great, but at the time it really hooked me. I read the first four books of the series that summer.
As it happened, when I was reading the first book, it's Hungarian edition was already in the works, coming out in that September. And the publisher had a really good marketing manager at the time, who saw to it that the series had an online forum for the fans. I found this forum maybe a week after it launched, and being my shy and and not at all attention seeking self (*sarcasm*) I pretty soon became a central figure there - so much so that the aforementioned marketing manager soon sought me out and offered me an admin position there.
(It was such a great community, too. We did launch parties, and almost had a camp, which then was thwarted the last minute by the weather. I still have friends from there.)
Anyway, so the forum flourished, books in the series were steadily coming out in Hungarian, and we were having fun. Christmas came, and me being me, I wrote a little fic for my friends on the forum, as a gift (I guess I ended up translating it to English, and I think it's still on my old ff.net account). And the forum being an official one run by the publisher, my little fic got to the marketing manager, who sent it to the owner of the company and the translator of the series. And the translator loved it - like it was just fluffy piece, and apparently he said that it was "better than the original" (which is not a big deal, because, yeah, looking back the series wasn't really quality). I took the praise blushing.
A few months went by and the publication process for the fourth book in the series went underway - only they couldn't contact the person who did the editing of the previous books (later it turned out that they died, but no-one knew thaty yet). And they needed an editor ASAP.
That's when the translator, already a veteran in the business, said that hey, they could try me out. So they offered me a job - I was 17, still in high school, and I had an Adult Job, with actual Adult People. I was fucking proud of myself.
And then we did... 4 or 5 books like that. He translated, I edited. Then when I was nearing my high school graduation and we were heading towards the next book, the translator said that he didn't feel like translating this series anymore, but he would be okay with me translating and him editing. And, well, that's what happened. Like, literally I had my high school leaving exams one week, and was working on the translation the next.
He ended up recommending me to some other publishers as well (I work for neither today, either because they've gone defunct or because I wasn't satisfied with the way I was being treated), and then I was just... there. I had references, and I had connections, and I had a job I could do whenever and wherever I wanted while working on my degree. It definitely beat fast food.
Don't get me wrong, I love my job most of the time, and I think I'm good at it (i just heard it back last week that some bloggers were praising my work at some event), but it was never planned and me being where I am today is absolutely due to some events that were mostly out of my hands.

thank you to @birdblacksocialclub for tagging! <3
Are you named after anyone? I am named after an 80's soap opera character but I cannot say more because my real name is a Tumblr secret.
When was the last time you cried? omfg I can't remember which was last but this week I cried over a BTS clip I watched of the Curb Your Enthusiasm finale and also my GOT rewatch when Dany has to lock the dragons up 😭
Do you have kids? no lmao
Do you use sarcasm a lot? I THINK I USE IT MEDIUM for humor but I don't use it often in actual conversation because I don't want to be mean and I think it doesn't really come across over text.
What sports do you play? I HULA HOOP AND LIFT WEIGHTS IDK IF THAT COUNTS thats it that's the extent of my athletic pursuits
What’s the first thing you notice about people? in person probably their clothes, online probably THE STUFF THEY SHIP and then the tone with which they write meta 🤣
What’s your eye colour? Blue but I have partial heterochromia in my right eye so it's also brown.
Scary movies or happy endings? MANY SCARY MOVIES HAVE HAPPY ENDINGS WHAT DO YOU MEAN but scary movies
Any special talents? I can write I guess lol.
Where were you born? Long Island
What are your hobbies? fanfic writing, arts & crafts!, VERMICOMPOSTING, gardening!
Do you have any pets? I HAVE 2 THEY ARE VERY CUTE they are cat siblings named Ghost Pepper and Scrambles and they are about 21 months old!
How tall are you? 5'8
Favourite subject in school? dude idk I dropped out, I was miserable all day. When I went to college I had a lot of fun in Film Lit and the weirder photo electives.
Dream job? If I could make consistent money off photography and have it be my only job that would be so nice but the way it is now I find the business side of it so stressful that I prefer the setup I have now in which I have a cushy corporate admin job that pays the bills and allows me the freedom to have creative hobbies that I can do for fun without them being my job. I would love it if I could get into social work fields and do like community building and advocacy but they don't pay enough and/or I'd have to get more college and I can't afford it so !? Idk all I really want is something that pays me enough and lets me have hobbies but if it was something I felt good about doing that would be ideal. The company I work for now is morally acceptable for me because it helps people navigate the health insurance disaster in this country but I would also love to do work that would FIX the health insurance disaster in the first place, you know?
ANYWAY this was fun thanks!

Same anon that was talking about Ren’s glasses. I could go on rambles about hermitcraft lore and headcannons about character details for hours. Like Ren’s sunglasses being on a chain, ideas of how item storage would work, communicators and what they could look like or their functionality, how different servers interact and the concept of the minecraft servers all existing within some extraplanar space people can travel between using portals. All the little world and character building details that no content creator is ever really gonna go in and lay out, so it’s open for interpretation
i'm about to expose myself as the biggest minecraft nerd on earth but i have Thoughts about how these things work.
item storage: i think of it as being more similar to our world than the minecraft world. ie: if someone is building something out of wood they're having to haul carts of wooden panels and intricate detailing bits. tools, food, and rockets are carried on belt loops and in bags. i think this is my preference because i like to draw things that arent overtly minecrafty so this makes it more fun for me lol.
communicators: in my mind they look like pagers with a more detailed screen. but also kinda mixed with flip phones because i imagine there to be a pull out keyboard that people to type with. people keep them clipped onto waist of pants for easy access. also they can be modded to include things like location services, private messaging, basic games (i like to think people can play virtual decked out or other mini games on them while they're doing afk farms lol).
servers/worlds: since i dont think of minecraft worlds as round, i dont see servers/worlds as planets which i've seen suggested before. i see them as parallel planes of existence that you can travel between with the right technology (ie: admin priveleges/permissions). once you're approved to go to a certain place, you're able to travel to and from there at will. people move, travel, go on day trips, whatever with relative ease. admins of servers are responsible for monitoring and maintaining the equilibrium of the servers on the DL.
i have lots of other ideas about this kind of stuff lol. i personally don't really see hermitcraft as any kind of lore based thing, but i think that's what makes it interesting in a narrative lense.
anyways sorry for the longest block of text i've ever posted online lol

Nah you don't even post that much about Fandom stuff so no idt you're being chronically online for saying that in fact these kinda things don't see light if people don't comment on it. One actually doesn't even need to be chronically online to see how things work in fandom. I was actually going to reply to it cause i agreed but when i tried to find it later it was already gone. so just Letting you know that i agreed with your post.
They have suspended Multiple tae antis but all jm antis are getting more followers and engagements. If these accounts can suspend dispatch account I'm pretty sure they can get rid off jm antis too but it comes to the will to do it and seems like there isn't much in that protect GC when it comes to jimin. Just saw how they didn't ask to report solos on a tweet regarding jm and Sabrina where Tkkrs and KTHs were dragging jm and the post was up for 4 days but they made one immediately for tae when same happened with him (posts regarding both solos should have been made but it came ONLY after op made tweet for Sabrina and tae), then yesterday all tkkrs were dragging jm because jin wished him happy bday and because he mentioned jkk calling him together but all this acct did first was post all jm solos who were dragging jm and Only made post for Tkkr after multiple ppl tagging them regarding Tkkrs dragging jm.
Few days ago an admin for the FB acct @Bts_beyond_army or something like that was the name got exposed for being a Tkkr who follows vile jm antis, interacts with all NSFW tkkrs even asked if humanlouvre needs any help because one of her account got suspended and then people wonder why humanlouvre ain't getting suspended like why would she when most of her followers are in fact armys? Like imagine running a BTS FB that makes tags and helps in other projects for boys, who's in a group with 200+ FBS or something being a vile tkkr as well?
A few days ago everyone was like"They're painting tae as villain" when jimin called the guest but as soon as jin teased jimin yesterday it's "Solos don't understand jokes" but no one said the same thing for jm. Even armys made tweets Saying how they're making tae look like he's unwanted and let everyone drag jm.
This is what goes on in Fandom but when you try to voice it out all you get in return is lectures about how those people are not armys those are antis lol. Idk when people are going to be upfront about what goes on in Fandom like every single time when there's a hate campaign against jm it always comes to light because his solo fans report on it. I never got any reports regarding jm first from armys it's always his solo FB (the 3-4 i follow) and then hrs or days later armys make tweet regarding it.
Won't lie but as a jimin bias it definitely feels suffocating in the Fandom. it feels the same as how you always have to trend tags or tag hybe to give jimim bare minimum when he releases music while hybe gives them easily to others. Same with armys you always have to ask them again and again, tag them and then once in a while you'll get them move for jm
Sorry for my rant as well but it really feels helpless there 😔
Helpless is exactly how I feel too, that’s the perfect way to put it. It’s just so frustrating because I tried REALLY hard to be involved in the ARMY community and just ended up being filled with so much bitterness and resentment. I have no idea how any Jimin biased can stand it there. And I agree with everything you said 100%, always feel free to send me long paragraphs or fandom vents 😭 Going to apologize for this whole essay, but yeah, this last year especially has really killed most of the goodwill I felt towards this fandom.
The last BTS report account was run by a group of TH biased tkkrs and that YoongiPD account who is a YG-diet and JM anti (they “left” being admin at one point, but they were involved) that “Bocia” person if you know who I’m talking about was also involved and they’re a JK-diet and tkkr (idk if they’re still around tbh). This report page followed like seven or so focused report accounts for TH, several for YG and other members and NONE for JM. They ended up setting JM up from info they got from tkkrs on IG and doubled down (after initially apologizing) and all the shooter accounts got super defensive and were backing up this fake info too, it was ridiculous.
I politely asked why they weren’t following any JM protect pages and I got blocked by several of these people and I promise you my account was fully ARMY, no shippers, no diets, no weird victimization posts. It really ticked me off. They had posted who some of the admins were before this and they were literally all just TH diets/tkkrs so it was easy to tell what was going on.
One of them was in a GC where someone was bragging about getting people to drop all the charting songs except for THs and JH’s, they insulted CTT, and were complaining about LC in the US. Again, an admin of that report account was in this GC, but their friends didn’t cancel them. These people always defend each other while being the first to point their fingers at JM biased and jkkrs.
They were all friends with that random tkkr account too who was called out for following a bunch of JM antis and then they were like, “using a unit name doesn’t make you a shipper!” and they and their moots proceeded to spam tkk moments and joke about it. Meanwhile they were spouting tkk narratives and reading tkk fanfic and following actual shippers, making a thousand defense posts for tkk (ofc none for jkk), following and interacting with JM antis, but apparently they’re not a shipper?
This group runs report accounts, shooter accounts, big accounts, chart accounts, meme accounts, update accounts, just whatever, they’re everywhere. And when one of them gets called out they just back each other up. And THAT’S why JM related accounts always face the most scrutiny, because who gets called out is just based on whichever faction is currently running most of the shooter/report accounts and it’s never jkkrs/JM biased.
IDK what happened to that account, it got suspended by boycotters and they remade but I never kept up with them (I just blocked most of those people and moved on tbh). But I KNOW these same people are all over that current protect accounts GCs because if you notice ANY time they call out a tkkr they HAVE to make a report on jkkrs even if it doesn’t make sense, and they always add shady captions. Like what is this lmao???? 😭
They just made up a whole new sentence, the shady admin note, the “TH snatching JK from JM” which is a tkkrs wet dream, pretending that jkkrs are threatened by tkk or something. They deleted the post, and this isn’t the first time they’ve done something super weird like this. And if you want my conspiracy on this, I think it’s because that account had several hit tweets on “why I believe jkk are real” and I fully believe that’s why they were targeted lol. Because choosing that account was so random?
I talked about this in another post but the best way to gain a bunch of followers quickly on ARMYtwt is to get very involved in whatever fandom crisis/drama is going on at the time, such as MHJ/the cult stuff/YG situation/boycott situation. That’s exactly what this report account did, they’re clearly YG biased and suddenly gained 20k followers in a month because they were providing helpful info about that situation. I don’t think they ever revealed their main account and that’s why I’ll never trust these accounts that pop up out of nowhere and suddenly gain mass followings (and they were constantly interacting with a well known problematic YG biased account too). IDK if that account admin is entirely bad or anything, and I appreciated some of their helpful stuff for YG, but I know what their GC is full of at the very least.
Anyways, I sat and watched especially the last few weeks leading up to AYS (and after the first two eps) how the hate for Jimin and Jikook just got SO out of control, just insane, and there were hardly ANY ARMY report tweets for it. The Jimin hate is just so normalized in this fandom, they never move, they’re never surprised or outraged by it anymore. Suddenly TH joins the show and is getting hated on by jkkrs and it was ALL over ARMY twitter. Like my moots who never talk about shipping drama were ratio-ing jkkrs (some of whom were just being shady about him being a guest which is hardly as bad as what they were saying about JM/Jikook). And the fact they were freaking out about flop jkkr tweets with like 500 likes while ignoring all the tkk tweets that had thousands of likes? It was just really frustrating to see the different responses.
And omg yes, the fact that “ARMYs” were literally talking about BH editing the show to be shady towards TH and make him look unwanted was INSANE! They were literally backing up tkk narratives, narratives that have done untold damage towards Jimin for years, and these weren’t tkkrs, these were ARMY accounts! Some that are very active in the community. Why weren’t ARMYs clocking these people? Do they ACTUALLY buy into the whole BH pushes Jikook thing? It’s just so tiring, you’re right. I see BS like this allllllll the time.
But it’s why I just got so mad when ARMYs a few months ago were talking about being BTS’s shield and how they have to protect BTS. It’s this obsession with MHJ or other fandoms, going on and on about how ARMYs are their shield and all this self-righteousness. But the audacity to claim that when the call is coming from inside the house, when the rot and the worst damage has come from INSIDE the fandom for years now?
If they protected BTS then tk-lives wouldn’t have 500k followers. The massive platforms tkkrs have are INSANE and they were just left to grow that big while spewing insane things about Jimin/Jikook (JK too, even TH) for years and years and ARMYs didn’t want to do anything about it, even when their insanity has actually impacted offline, real life stuff. That is the BIGGEST source of danger and damage to the fandom and to the BTS members, not MHJ, not kmedia, not Tokki’s! It’s akgaes and shippers (especially tkkrs). But ARMYs have literally just ignored it for years now?
One example is just straight up how they ignored the role that akages and shippers played in the way Jimin was harassed during FACE era and how all the drags that now get regularly thrown around (SA insults, sleeping with PDs for remixes, tagging Spotify etc) came from SOLOS during FACE era, because they just wanted to blame it entirely on kpop stans. They acted like it came out of nowhere during Seven era and not just that PJMs were parroting exactly what JJKs were saying about JM during FACE era (and I’m NOT justifying PJMs being vile back towards JK. It's just bizarre how many ARMYs were entirely oblivious during FACE era).
Then there’s the whole situation with Jimin’s dad. Literally akgaes and tkkrs started spreading that whole narrative attacking him because of AYS and Who. Kmedia picked up on it, and maybe because of the ongoing smear campaign on BTS they were looking for things to write about, but WHERE do they think that journalist got that info? The way that ARMYs were getting hit tweets blaming it ENTIRELY on MHJ was insanity. They LOVE themselves an easy villain they can rally against, but it almost feels like they straight up cover up for tkkrs and solos sometimes?
If they actually cared about protecting Jimin, wouldn’t they want to go after the original source of that? But no, just wanted hit tweets on MHJ and sensationalizing that because they are OBSESSED with her right now (don’t get me wrong, I obviously hate her too). They’re just so drama addicted, but they never actually care about the BTS members or they would do something about a HUGE source of hurt that’s been there for years. They don’t want to put in the hard work to clean up our fandom, they just want to fight with other fandoms or be loud and feel important, or bury their heads in the sand because they don’t want to deal with this mess.
And you’re right, it pisses me off so bad when you call this out and they’re like “they’re not part of our fandom!”. That's SUCH BS 😭 they ARE part of our fandom, you can’t just wash your hands from the things you don’t like. Literally most of those tkkrs have little sevens, or a lot of solos are ex-ARMYs, or ARMYS follow and interact with them or are diets. How many ARMYs are shippers and read fanfic and AUs and follow duo accounts that are clearly run by shippers? It was ARMYs in line buying that tk fanfiction in Paris. ARMYs make up the following for most of these accounts too. I mean, damn, a big shooter account I saw was exposed for interacting with that Jay/Mina person last year, someone we’ve been asking to report NONSTOP, but no, shippers are totally not part of our fandom right?
I swear I’m not even THAT chronically online lol 😭 but it’s just… hard not to witness this stuff if you’re active in the fandom at all? I mean, maybe it’s just my algorithm on my priv, but it doesn’t take much to see all this going on ESPECIALLY if you’re Jimin biased or a jkkr, if you follow any report accounts at all, so I’ll never understand how some of them are so content in this fandom when to me it’s mostly trash 😭
There are a handful of ARMY accounts I super respect, and I know the twt community and all of this is not always representative of the majority, but pretty much any fandom space you walk into is just full of this kind of stuff and it’s exhausting. You can build yourself a nice little community to have fun and retain your sanity, but if you want to be part of the larger ARMY fanbase? It’s just so toxic and biased. And I’m not even getting into the drama about their solo releases because that is ANOTHER whole thing 😭 there’s also probably a thousand more examples of ARMYs being hypocritical on top of everything you listed too (just remembered the whole situation with that k-fanbase ugh).
Sorry this is so long, just going to quickly throw out that I know ARMYs can be weird to ALL the members, every bias has something legit to complain about, but I just firmly believe that for a few reasons (some of which I’ve talked about here before, like seeing JM as a goalpost, shippers and so on) the fandom has the weirdest attitude towards Jimin. And that’s not to say I don’t call out when ARMYs are being awful to the others either, like it was actually insane and very sad how they treated JK over that post about NewJean’s, the way they hyped up those dating “rumors” about Namjoon and gave hit tweets on that while not supporting his music and so on.
I try not to let all this get to me TOO often because these people spend all their time being manipulative in stan spaces and trying to cosplay and whatever, but look at the actual charts 😭 Jimin has a LOT of support and a LOT of people who love him. Jimin lovers might not be great at cosplaying and manipulating and running ARMY big accounts, but damn they are at least good at streaming and supporting music, and that’s about a thousand times more valuable at the end of the day. Lots of ARMYs just passively interact with fandom and don't see any of this either. And all this stuff just kind of disappears when you logoff, sometimes I give it more importance than it actually holds, but I do find it annoying lol.
It’s definitely exhausting and suffocating though, and it does feel just super helpless in this fandom sometimes like you said. I definitely do not feel any loyalty towards ARMYs at this point. I’m here for Jimin, JK, BTS on my own terms and just follow who I like, I don’t really care about what the fandom at large thinks or any of their projects, and I’m beyond caring about backlash and I’ll just say what I think if people ask. It’s obvious to see why the fandom has deteriorated the way it has and ARMYs have no one to blame but themselves honestly. I just hope things improve when BTS returns.
#ask#anon#discourse#jimin#oof this is long#as you can see i have so many complaints 😭#but yes 100% to everything you said#and i saw that tkkr who ran that fanbase#and no ARMY even cared or tried to cancel that person#but i saw the ARMY meltdown when their precious tk fanart account#was being reported#so im not surprised they did not care#anyways i wont delete my next rant#now that i know there is a follower who likes fandom rants 🫡#fandom

I run a plural discord server, or, did. We had to stop for health reasons and tech teasons.
Our chronic illness got so bad we were bedbound and couldn't pick up our phone, our pc died twice (and is still broken ffs).
It's extremely inactive, I barely know how to get back into running it because I literally don't remember how, and my two main mods have left, so I'm stuck doing it alone.
I own it with three other people (two singlets and one plural), but none of them can be online enough to run the place. One has work, another has full time education, the last currently isn't brave enough to socialise.
I'm not able to run it full time, but I don't want it to just die. All of the people that are still there are lovely and I don't want to give up purely for them, but it's been at least three months since I became inactive and I think it's too late to let people know that I'll be inactive lol
I still do admin, but not interacting. Idk honestly, I desperately want to get the community back up and running, but I'm scared to commit to it in case my health gets worse again.
Oh I’m so sorry about that anon :(

I was saying to my boyfriend that if I'd been a kid today, I'd be on booktok and idk whther that's really true or not, but the reason I was saying it is because my first online communities were somewhat analogous to booktok
But that comparison inevitably let me to think about all the differences between my childhood, literature-centric online experiences and the ones that are popular today
I spent a lot of my time as a tween and early teen on a forum set up by danish libraries for youth to discuss and review books. I said it was my first online community and community is the central word here -- there was not a "creator and audience" relationship. To the extent that the space doubled as a fan community of certain popular books of the 2000s, that made us fans of distant figures not involved in our space, not of a creator whose comment section we were in. A Danish fantasy author may do a q&a on occassion, but no authors were a constant presence. The only hierarchy there was, was the admin powers of the one librarian in charge of running things, which was akin to a teacher keeping an eye out for trouble on a playground. Maybe a few older teens had some amount of mod powers and responsibilities, I don't remember. If they did, it wasn't in a way that made the social space feel hierarchical
The same community also spread into review blogs on blogspot and the like, usually for very short-lived blogs that only survived as long as the project kept our attention. Even there, I think we were mostly reading each others reviews -- there could have been an economic incentive in theory in terms of publishers sending us stuff and certainly there was for some people in the blogging era, but at least my experience was a lot closer to what I've been told about livejournal than anything centered around a single person. Which is probably why when most of us got tumblrs, those blogs died off
(also, none of this involved any of us putting images of ourselves online lol)
#skud ud til boris#i hope weird nerdy kids are able to find community only nowadays and not just 'content'#that probably happens on discord nowadays#or? i'm too old to know#*online not only

lisa cuddy: server admin. not actually a huge minecraft fan she prefers games where you kill monsters a lot and build skill trees etc but likes the smp community aspect with her gaming friends. built her base in the nether. usually trades with people for supplies she needs instead of going out to mine for them.
greg house: Ass Hole. the reason explosions are now disabled. usually not online at the same time as anyone else and if he is it's to bother wilson into giving him his best gear (only to go throw it into lava). actually really good at building when he bothers to make anything tho. occasionally gives really heartfelt gifts to other server members too.
james wilson: LOVES going mining. awful at building bases. paid house to build him a base. with real life money. refuses to disclose the amount. he also has a huge animal farm. probably really bad at combat tho despite having really good gear. one of the highest death counts on the server.
robert chase: always doing something that looks cool followed by smth idiotic a second later. Slays a zombie epically then falls down massive hole. lol. only person on the server to have every advancement. mid builder. has like a little corner in everyone's home.
allison cameron: loves making intricate and epic builds. wilson gifted her a pair of feather falling iv boots cause he was sick of seeing her die of fall damage all the time cause she's always building high up with no cares in the world!!! she's just here to build and sometimes tame some animals!!!!
eric foreman: only person on the server smart enough to use redstone. not even like.. that complex of redstone he just uses it a little bit and everyone is like Oh my god ur a geniusss. he plays pretty averagely besides that. he does refuse to build his own enchanting table tho, he just steals wilson's whenever he needs to use one. also a big fan of trading with villagers.
lawrence kutner: Why is this man wearing a leather chestplate and diamond boots. good god. and is that.... a Gold sword???? this man always has something strange going on but his base is gorgeous and luxurious. Huh.
remy hadley: built the nether travel hub bc she was so irritated when she joined the server and nothing was optimized. also knows how to use redstone but hasn't shown it off bc she's amused by the way everyone treats foreman. someday she'll build some fancy resource farms with it and shock them all with her modern minecrafter skills. for now she's content with her beachfront base.
chris taub: not really sure how he ended up playing minecraft. kind of a noob. watched a bunch of videos but still doesn't understand what he's doing. tags along whenever people are doing stuff. house built him a base out of sheer pity and taub has just been vaguely building more on the back of it. it's .... interesting, to say the least.

re: toxic fanbases. I'm not good at telling what fanbases are toxic. I'm both a doormat ("that rando who started yelling at me all of a sudden probably has a good reason and I'm dumb for not seeing it 👍") and a weirdo who tends to stay within very small circles. With Danganronpa, I feel like there's *something* that makes it a little jarring compared to other communities, although it's by far not the worst community I've personally interacted with.
Its popularity definitely plays a massive role; it's actually impressive to see how active Danganronpa circles remain after all this time, but the downside is that there's a lot of brainrot, distant memories, and most importantly people who've been involved with it for WAY too long. I myself have definitely grown horribly bored of having the same tired debates be brought up time and time again - I can imagine people with a different personality from mine getting very upset over that.
Though I don't feel a connection to that aspect at this time, the prevalent young fanbase also comes with its qualities and flaws.
I could go on, because this community is so large and so old that it's genuinely, like I already mentioned, jarring at times. I'll turn my back from being told DRAE is irredeemable media because it uses dark humour to see someone draw a Komaru with giant tits requesting coitus. There are times when interacting with Danganronpa fans has made me wish I'd just never known about Danganronpa at all, so all things considered, even if I can't put words on it, there's a strong negative aspect to it.
At the same time, I don't know how it being Danganronpa specifically relates to some negative experiences I had - was some of the abuse I endured as a Wiki admin related to the way the DR fandom is? Or did it have to do with Wikis more than it did with DR, with French users more than it did DR? Maybe the problem is that this series has given so many of us such intense brainrot and we can't stop getting involved with it.
Sorry if this long ask is annoying in any way - I figured you might be interested in exploring the conversation around how the DR fandom might come across as toxic, objectively or subjectively OTL
One thing I remember for sure is that when I posted Akudama Drive LGBTQ headcanons, I felt perfectly fine and happy about it - but when I decided to post my Danganronpa headcanons too, I had a strong feeling that I was taking a risk, however small. That's not a very nice feeling to get as an adult who's just trying to be a little happy and silly with PNGs.
Oh, I don't mind a long ask at all! I'm grateful for the detailed thought you put into this, honestly. :) I'm a pretty wordy person myself — you may have noticed.
I think a lot of what you're describing as negatives within the DR community are unfortunate constants with fandoms of ANY popular media these days. Not ALL of it, but....
Every piece of media is gonna be declared irredeemable/offensive/problematic by some parties now if it delves into any kind of darkness or deals with any kind of major crimes, it seems like I've seen more than one person online state — with a straight face, mind you — stuff like "Danganronpa is toxic AF, many of those characters are LITERALLY murderers" and I'm just over here thinking are you fucking serious? I don't remember seeing people say stuff like this in my fandom circles before 2019 or so, but I see it everywhere now. It seems to have grown more prevalent since the 2020s hit? There are people who just can't stand to deal with any moral grayness, any dark theming, etc — and they don't think anyone else should allowed to enjoy that stuff either. (Now I'm wondering whether there are people similarly dismissing Akudama Drive. Much smaller fandom, so maybe you don't see that. But I can imagine someone grumbling "These characters are LITERALLY criminals, wtf." LOL)
We all know Internet Rule 34, but I feel like there are certain built-in multipliers to it that increase how widespread it is. Animated media? That's a multiplier that will cause even MORE porn to exist. Japanese media? That's another multiplier. Which means there's tons of porn of DR characters — even for the teen characters that're underage in most countries like Komaru. At least I've never stumbled across porn of the small children like the Warriors of Hope, THANK FUCKING GOD. I sadly don't doubt that it exists, but I hope to god it remains in a dark corner, out of my goddamn sight.
And I definitely feel much, MUCH more afraid to say anything about LGBTQ headcanons for popular media than I do for relatively small fandoms. Maybe that's partly symptomatic of being American in an era where tolerance and acceptance of LGBTQ people is sliding horiffically backwards? At least I think I'm safter to share such things on Tumblr than I would be on Reddit. I'd be afraid to talk about my personal DR LGBTQ headcanons, too. I've even drafted a post about that once and then been like "You know what? No. I'm not opening myself up to abuse for this," leading me to delete it. I've done similarly for the Madoka Magica fandom as well... too active, too big = too likely to result in blowback. I believe Akudama Drive is a pretty small fandom, though, so it makes sense to me why that'd feel like a more comfortable place to talk LGBTQ concepts.
But with all of that said, I can't claim that the infighting over interpretations of characters and events that I see on the DR Wiki is something that every fandom deals with. Maybe some of them do; honestly, Fandom Wikis weren't really so huge a thing before I got deep into DR in the back half of the 2010s, and I haven't really gotten involved with any of the Fandom Wikis I've come across afterwards either. So I don't know for sure! But it seems like that could be uniquely unpleasant about the DR fandom — the way people define "canon" as a matter of personal interpretation.
Since I'm stuck on the English side of the DR Wiki, I'm not certain whether you deal with the same stuff in the French incarnation. Characters like Komaeda and Ouma are especially difficult to police — they have so many fans who think they are pure of heart, and so many fans who find them loathesomely manipulate, and you can't necessarily be certain what about them is true or false. Put all that together, and it's hard to keep things to "Just The Facts" when people fundamentally disagree on what the facts ARE, which can lead to a lot of infighting among the people editing the thing! God... even deciphering the truth about what's going on in V3 and determining how we should or shouldn't explain that haziness is an awfully sticky wicket all by itself.

🌟 About the Blog 💫
What's the main purpose of this blog?
This blog mostly focuses on INFP related content. I'm not super knowledgeable when it comes to typology, so I mainly just focus on INFPs in my posts. It made the most sense to me because it's my own type, so obviously I have the most knowledge on it lol. Of course, anyone can enjoy this blog if they want! Not just INFPs!
Stuff I've done:
INFPs irl and in fiction
INFP moodboards (based on the enneagrams that fit w the type)
INFP playlist
Examples of romantic relationships between INFPs and other types in fiction
And more!
Why did I create this blog?
I’ve had an interest in typology for a while. I think my main goal was just to create fun content for myself and others to enjoy. I've always wanted see more of this kind of content when it comes to mbti, because a lot of people take it too seriously imo. I see a lot of people using typology to dictate their entire views on themselves and other people, and while I have a huge interest in psychology, using mbti to form your opinions on other is no better than using astrology to do so. Mbti is a pseudoscience anyway, so this blog is really just meant to be fun!
🍰 More About Me 🧁

🌙 Typology Journey ☁️
How'd I get into mbti? Well basically it all started one day in 5th grade. I was bored and procrastinating classwork lol. I've always enjoyed taking tests that analyze your personality (like the uquiz ones), and so I googled "personality tests." Then sure enough I came across 16p, and my obsession with typology began. I got INFP-A the first time, and I've gotten INFP-T ever since. I sent the test to like everyone I knew cus I wanted to compare results w them, and I got really into mbti skits and youtubers (basically Frank James lmao).
Then a couple years later I discovered PDB (Personality Database) after looking up "infp fictional characters" or something like that. I then found out that 16p wasn't super accurate or something, because they typed people by letters and not the cognitive functions. I actually had no idea what they were and why they were important, or why letter typing was "less accurate." It turns out letter-typing is frowned upon and seen as less accurate by like half the community because the cognitive functions were actually part of the original theory. I learned that the letters are basically just an oversimplified version of the actual functions in order to help beginners understand better, but when you type someone you don’t actually ask if they're more introverted or extroverted and what not.
Anyway now back to the important stuff lol.
I was one of the lucky people who was actually typed correctly by PDB. I took more "accurate" tests like Sakinorva and Keys2Cog, but I still got INFP even then. I even read more about the functions and my type online through my own research, after I found out that even the more "accurate" tests weren't always reliable. I also asked a few of my friends I met through PDB, who understood mbti better than I did, and asked them. Pretty much everyone said I was an INFP, so there was that.
As for enneagram, I just took a test and got 2w1. I didn't have as much knowledge on enneagram, so I went with that. Then when I asked people what they thought for my enneagram, a few people said 4w5, and once again I didn't question it. As for my tritype and ivs those were pretty easy to figure out with some explanation, and I went with 496.
But for a while I always found myself relating to the 9 traits more than 4 traits, especially sx 9. And a lot of people actually agreed with me, some said my 9 traits were too strong to only be one of my fixes, so then I typed as INFP 9w1 for a while.
And then, pretty recently I found out that was actually impossible. As you may know, not all type combinations are possible—and that includes INFPs and 9s. At first I thought people were being stupid and over-exaggerating, how would their traits contradict? But then I eventually found out that most "INFP 9s" are actually 6s, because 6s and 9s look very similar— especially sp 6s. So yea now I'm officially INFP 6w5! I basically ended up switching around my tritype order a bunch of times lol
As for the other parts of my typology, like socionics. I didn't really put much effort into that lol. I can somewhat understand mbti and enneagram, but I barely understand anything else. So once again I asked other people what they thought and pretty much everyone agreed on EII, and that was it!
So yea, sorry that was so long lmao. Thanks for reading! :)

Just wanted to send a post out there to all of my mutuals :).
This is gonna be extremely random and unexpected, but I just wanted to thank all of you. Those who interact with my posts, those who send me asks/questions, and those who throw me into a pit with other random Tumblr users and have me fight to the death (you know who you are). I really feel like I'm starting to build a little community here full of people who support one another, and it reminds me of where I was several years ago.
This was back in 2019/2020. I had been playing Roblox fairly consistently--still do to this day--and had recently stumbled upon a Roblox group. It was very small; there weren't even 20K members in it when I first joined. I didn't say anything for some months because I had never made a major presence in any form of social media before and was anxious. But I eventually started talking in there, and quickly became well-known and well-liked. As I said, the group was very small at the time, and everyone knew one another as online friends and buddies. There were a collection of active members--including me--who would often play Roblox games together, mess around, and have fun. Eventually, a few of us group friends are in a Roblox chat with the only admin in the group, and a couple of my group buddies came up with the idea for me to copy the group owner's avatar. I did that, but used the opposite colors--the owner's avatar was red, mine was blue/purple. It was such a big thing that the group admin adds the group owner to our chat, and we all have a conversation and generally have a good time. I got a higher role, and not even a week later, I became the second admin.
I was the admin--and later senior admin--for that group for a very long time, about a couple years. Eventually though, I left. The group had gotten so large--it had a couple hundred thousand members, and it has 317K+ members as of typing this. I left because of a couple reasons. One, the group was primarily focused on horror and things related to horror, as the group owner created horror-focused games. My interest started drifting away from horror and into other genres, and I wasn't as enthusiastic. The other reason is because moderating the group simply wasn't much fun anymore. It was fun back when the group was small. As I said earlier, everyone knew one another, and we played games together. That was what made the group so enjoyable. But once the group started growing, it got cluttered. We all stopped playing games together. And over time, the ones I knew from the beginning left the group, one by one. It felt different. So I left.
The reason I'm mentioning this is because this, Tumblr, reminds me of that time. A time when I had made my mark in a community, even if it was a small one. A time when I would chat and interact with others almost like I knew them IRL, even though I did not. Those memories are some of the happiest memories I have, and I'm really glad Tumblr is giving me those same feelings and memories.
I know I can be fairly random, silly, and forgetful sometimes. I know I can make goofy mistakes. And I know I have a habit of constantly posting about specific fictional characters I adore *COUGH Lancer and King/Spade King COUGH*. But honestly, Tumblr is one of the only places where I'm comfortable being me. Where I don't feel like I'm being judged or looked down on. It's a really nice feeling to have.
So, again, thank you. Even if you're not a mutual, thank you. Thank you for being here, for following me, or just being a random user and interacting with my posts or sending an ask. All interactions make my day, and I've been happier overall the longer I'm a Tumblr user. I'm so glad I've stumbled upon this platform, and I wished I had discovered Tumblr sooner.
And to think the entire reason I made an account on here was to tell someone how much I loved their art and what they did on here, lol.
#long post#silly ramble#i know this post is out of the blue and random#but i really wanted to get this out there#thanks so much ^-^

I wonder how many people that've reblogged this know what Guilty Gear is lol Abridged history of the GG archive, for those that are curious/interested:
In the beginning (circa 2002) there was Edward Chang. Him and a few other archivists (bungiefan12, Roni, Calico) discussed and gathered lore materials on LiveJournal. Chang and Roni ran thegearproject.org where they wrote lore FAQs, summaries, and shared what few things there were scans of back then. Chang handled all Japanese to English translations. Bungiefan seems to have done a majority of the image collection from this period and Calico was a primary collaborator with Chang on projects. I don't know which projects. Most of what we have and know from this period comes from half-broken Wayback Machine archives of the gearproject site, bungiefan's (still online) website, and LiveJournal archives.
Most of these archivists were active from roughly 2000 to 2007 with the release of Overture. Overture was NOT good for the English language fandom; a lot of people weren't thrilled with the direction the lore was taking with that game. Ed Chang in particular was extremely annoyed with what happened with Dizzy and mostly moved on to other, non-Guilty Gear, projects. His name pops up in few discussions and archives after this. I don't know what happened with the other archivists but presumably they got busy with real life and other interests too.
Continued...
The Guilty Gear archive after this point stopped being maintained. Web domains expired. Forums shut down. File and image hosts went defunct. Guiltygear.ru, a bilingual Russian-hosted fansite, saved some things but Wayback archives of this site from before 2007 aren't great. Blade became active around this time and seems to have been responsible for saving at least the raw .TXT files of Ed Chang's translations. Between 2011 and 2012, gg.ru rehosted these. This may be, as far as I can tell, the only reason we have these translations still.
The Guilty Gear Wikia (now Fandom) was created in 2008. The founder did few edits before other editors (mostly Piconoe) picked up the torch. Its first few years were pretty rough before Remnant13 and Danseru-kun took over in 2011. More recent major editors were JustAToucan (now inactive) and ShiroxCloud, the last remaining major editor and admin. The Fandom GG wiki was the most accessible source of Guilty Gear lore to English speakers for well over a decade.
Sometime a bit before Sign's release (~2014), Volcanic Fighter (aka nincopyjasb) began putting together an actual archive of everything Guilty Gear. This included images, translations, lore documents, game assets, and anything else he could find. A LARGE majority of the current archive is built off of his work. Volcanic also did major translations in English and Spanish, including Spanish translations of Begin and Lightning the Argent, and some side stories for drama CDs. We owe a lot to Volcanic.
In 2021 I got into Guilty Gear. There were still a ton of untranslated materials and I was surprised at how few books had been scanned, especially since the series seemed relatively popular and it was coming up on 25 years old. For the hell of it, I got my hands on Artworks of Guilty Gear X 2000-2007 and scanned it. I had studied Japanese a little bit before that point because I wanted to be able to read the packaging for the art materials I use, most of which are written only in Japanese. The Artworks '07 captions were pretty short. It seemed like a good practice project.
In no world was I prepared for the sheer ecstatic reaction the community was going to have over this.
My translations were flawed; I was still learning, and was self-taught, but they were good enough. They got the point across. I was feeling confident and really liked Sol Badguy. There was a Sol-focused novel, Begin, no one had translated into English yet, and my Spanish isn't good enough to have read Volcanic's Spanish translation of it. I figured, if I beat my head against it enough, I could get it into English. I did. It was flawed, I'd like to redo it some day. It's readable though. Shoutout to pissdykebutch for hammering that thing into a readable state.
While working on Begin, Volcanic reached out and invited me to the Lore Rev server. Most of his archive was hosted/shared within this server or scattered across Dropbox/Google Drive links. I downloaded all of it. Neocities was becoming popular at the time too. I'd always wanted to try making my own website, so I built one and collected all the links from this server on there to try to make it as public as possible.
Sometime in 2022, Tillman and Lesbiangiratina got into scanning books. I bought more art books and manga volumes too. The archive exploded in size. Many other people contributed scans when they could, or sent me their books to scan. There is very little missing from the archive now. A lot of texts still need translated, but we have them and that's better than nothing at all.
November 2023 we started forking the Fandom GG wiki to a wiki.gg host and launched it in March 2024. With the fork, we got GG World added, cleaned up articles, started adding missing pages, added a BUNCH of missing images to character galleries, and a ton of other stuff. It was a hell of a lot of work though. I don't ever want to be involved with forking a wiki ever again lol
And now here we are—September, 2024.
The current Guilty Gear archive—all 230 some-odd gigabytes (not even counting the wiki!!)—is an insane collaboration across nearly three decades of people. I couldn't even begin to try listing everyone that's contributed, it's so many. It's a group project though, and it always will be. Sometimes people give me a little too much credit for it, to be honest. I think maybe I am responsible at least for rallying the current generation of archivists, but I absolutely am not the only person involved in getting it all together. Every person that's ever reuploaded a file, copy-pasted a text document for their website, or saved something in Wayback Machine has contributed. You would be shocked if you knew how many files in the archive only exist today because someone used a different file/image host than the original poster or reuploaded/reposted it on their website instead of hotlinking it.
As I said in the post I'm reblogging this on to: Files and websites break. Save or reupload the things you love, if not for yourself then for the next generation, because the internet is not permanent.

If the Internet Archive goes down or stops allowing the uploading of books, the other GG archivists and I have everything backed up and are working on disseminating the archive amongst ourselves to make it more infallible. We'll reupload it if we must. I hope it doesn't come down to that, but I'm grateful we were all here to save everything while we're still were able to
As I've said before, will say again, and will say some more in the far future: The internet is ephemeral. If you love it, save it. Your copy may one day be the only copy.

So we were on the go'mmunist stream and of course imma defend Sarah even when we all know I'm a cynical liberal lol
Boomer: Capitalism made your iphone (ACP reeees)
Sarah: No... Labor made the iphone. Isms just determine who gets paid for it.
Boomer: You get paid to work unless you live in China
ACP admin: You don't know shit about China
Sarah: The labor theory of value even states plainly wage is theft. A fraction of the worth of the goods and services is paid for to us only bare minimum while the rest goes to thieves
Me: Based
Sarah: Hon not now lol
Me: I mean under communism iphones wouldn't even be a thing
Boomer: Exactly
Me: AND HERE'S WHY THAT'S A GOOD THING
ACP Admin: Oh boy lol
Boomer: Yeah yeah I've heard you talk before. You hate moderators and getting banned
Me: No bitch, you don't get it. Technology as you interact with it would be completely different. Sarah is arguing the labor theory of value, I'm arguing a different Marxist point: Material conditions. Conditions determine the culture, the setting, and future of technology. Tech is a big part of my tisms. The Soviets had their own set of home computers and mostly focused on stock trades, columns, and calculations. You wouldn't have video game and social media slop as the foundation of your tech.
Boomer: So what you're saying is communists hate fun. We're still agreeing.
Me: I'm saying that things would be totally different. Like I've theorized of an intronet North Korea plays around with and was experimented with in the 80s. Localized internet. That's how your Gameboys used to work. This wouldn't compromise billions of user data nor leave any reason to track them. Thus if you value privacy and free speech, that'd be the way to do it.
Sarah: Get him babe!
Me: Furthermore the cost would be pennies. I remember when internet was ten dollars a year because dialup was so slow to crank up but once I was online, a little drizzle outside didn't fuck it up, it didn't suddenly crash unless someone picked up the phone to call, it worked practically. Communism does advocate practical usage. Capitalism should do if it was founded on the basis of profit or convenience. But it's not. It's just humiliation, annoyance, and Jews.
ACP Admin: Was the Jew part necessary lol
Boomer: Well than get a different provider
Me: You dumb bitch you didn't listen to a word I said. Systemically it's this way. It's designed to be bad. It's designed with the intention in mind "we hate you, we want you to die, but not before you work your ass off." Thing is: I hate you, I want you to die, you're fucking stupid. And now you're gonna pay me crypto for being so stupid. I expect 200 XRP by the end of this stream.
Sarah: Don't you hate XRP?
Me: It went up like +720% do to some glitch
Sarah: Oh wow
Boomer: I ain't paying you shit
Me: Then get the fuck out of here boomer
Boomer: I thought you believe in free speech?
Me: You don't. So get the fuck out or pay me
Boomer: What does what I believe have or have not to do with...
Me: Don't care, you suck, your wife is a whore, go awau
Boomer: You can leave my wife out of this
Me: Your wife is ugly. Your kids are ugly too. Your dog is ugly and should be ran over. Pay me or gtfo
Boomer: YOU'RE A RUDE LITTLE TROLL
Me: gtfo
Boomer: You only talk this way because you're safely behind a monitor capitalism made
Me: Gtfo
Boomer: You wouldn't say this shit to my face
Me: Gtfo
Boomer: How'd you like it if I talked about your girlfriend that way? Sarah is ugly.
Me: I'd doxx you and people would be calling your house sexually harassing your gorilla wife. Gtfo.
Boomer: AND THAN I'D SUE YOU
Me: No you wouldn't. Gtfo
Sarah: lol!
Boomer: I... The fuck you mean no I wouldn't? Yes I would.
Me: No you wouldn't, you're dumb and don't know how, gtfo.
(boomer leaves)
Me: Fucking dumb ass
Sarah: Babe that was amazing
Me: You're amazing. Sarah: You are.
ACP Admin: Ya both are holding up half the sky lol

Wasnt sure I turned off admin so here:
Why do you care what I think and make crazy assumptions lol the internet isn't real life. I know you'll just insult me and call me fascist or whatever but have you asked yourself why it matters? Myself I just like riling people up on the internet with my honest opinion cause it's funny. I'm a whole person without virtual signaling online, I put my money where my mouth is. Why do YOU do this? If you cared about social causes you'd be out serving the communities you act like you care so much about or protesting the things you don't agree with.
Anyway you're not helping anyone by shit talking other women on Tumblr bro
Why did I ask questions? Because I’m interested in what you think. As someone who has never once given a shit about what girls or women should do in regards to how I look or dress, I am fascinated by women who claim to love things like skimpy clothing, high heels, makeup, bikinis, etc. I want to know why, if they wear those things for themselves, they want to put themselves in such uncomfortable clothing and get-up. I want to know what benefit they see in their lives from shaving their legs, plucking their eyebrows, or learning to do the perfect cat-eye. I want to know why all of the ways women are supposed to look just so happen to involve making them look a certain way that’s attractive to men, and why more of them aren’t irritated by that. I want to understand how you end up writing “you’re just jealous” to me because I can’t do makeup? Like it’s a skill worth knowing. Why?
The Internet’s not real life, sure, but I’m a person and you’re a person, right? And you might be having a kickass time riling people up, live your “git gud” or whatever - but if you’re here sharing your opinion and I have questions, I don’t see why you being a troll should stop me from asking them. To be fair, I ask a lot of women in the “real world” the same questions. 🤷🏻♀️
To answer your third part, it’s 1:30 AM on a Saturday where I am. The social causes I volunteer for and donate to aren’t open, most protests don’t happen until the sun comes up, and the job where I work for the communities I serve has seen it fit to give me, like many other people, the day off. But thank you for your concern as to my real-life activities. I appreciate it.

hey barbie! i hope you don't mind me venting here ;v; i've been an admin of a long-running rp for the past 6 years now and it's been a great time! i love the group (obvi i've been here this long lol) even though we've kinda become a slightly "smaller" group (about a dozen members at this point) over the years through people and coming and going and just who's stuck around and wants to be here (at least 8 of these people have been here 5-6 years like i have). i just recently ran a 2 week m!a event that we have every year and everyone's always loved it saying it's so much fun and how they always look forward to it every year, although this year it.. idk it fell kind of flat? like half of the group (as usual) showed up on the first day or two to send out anons and start threads but there was the other half just sitting in the ooc waiting for people to come to them with anons without reciprocating or starting threads. and then after day 2 everyone just vanished and the dash has been crawling, ooc's been dead, co-admin hasn't done anything or been around, even my closest friends in this group that i talk to daily have been barely online to even talk and idk. sure our dash has had quiet moments as our real lives pick up but usually it gains life during events like this. i know it's just an rp but i feel so disappointed and demoralized that i put in all this work on this event and it feels like no one cares this time around and i'm this close to canceling the rest of our group's events this year if no one wants to show up for opportunities i provide for writing and plotting. 🥲 i don't know if you or anyone might have any advice on how to handle this situation?
hi anon!! first of all, i'm so sorry you've had that happen –– i know it sucks major ass when effort as an admin feels unappreciated. i hope it's just a perfect storm of everyone suddenly getting busy but, at the same time, if no one's communicating that with you (like i think members should) then how are you supposed to know what's really going on behind the scenes??
personally, that would be my first instinct too to stop hosting events after something like this in a group that's ran that long. if players aren't going to appreciate the effort then why waste the energy, y'know?? but then again, this might be a more passive aggressive approach 😅 alternatively, you could either talk with your members or host another event and see if this happens again before canceling all other events. ideally, this was just a one-time thing with shitty timing.
either way, i hope it works out for the best for you, anon. if anyone else has other advice for the anon on this topic, please chime in!! 💓
