If they were friends then yeah its just jokes but they aren't, that was the first time they interacted. Imagine you go to this guy and introduce yourself and they reply I hate you and your country you stink stay away from me. And then they go to other people to talk about how much they dislike you. And if you walk near them they spit on your direction, cover their nose and ask you to go away.

Like, isn't that weird?

i guess i can see why some people were upset but personally i don’t care bc

1)if étoiles was upset they can talk about it between them

2) just the usual french people are stinky stereotype which can be obnoxious but harmless

2) there are a thousand and more valid reasons to hate on france in general

Baghera just: carved her room into the wall's walls of the castle, found out how to smoke a blunt, did that, did that again with her dick out, was comfortable doing that with sneeg and tango (&Phil but yknow obv) in the room but NOT when pili walked in, went to go fish, scissored with pili after plotting murder and called it becoming conjoined twins.
