Perhaps the worst game design choice in Skyrim is when you are told to go kill nameless bandits who you can't talk to and just exist as random enemies, and then when you're fighting one they yell "I yield" and you're okay, that's fair, I'm just here to get some random sword I don't actually want to kill you and after all, the game tips say that if they yell "I yield" you can sheathe your sword and they'll stop fighting
Then you find out that's COMPLETELY FALSE, the game does NOT allow you to do that, the nameless bandits like all enemies in the game are programmed to fight to the death, and that's what you do, you fight them to death, because they have no names no lives or anything, they are there to keep attacking you and fight to the death for a chest with 124 gold and boots with a bonus to enchantment.
Or what's worse, the game makes them yell "PLEASE NO MORE" or "I YIELD" JUST as you deliver the killing blow. It would be an interesting comment on violence in videogames if it wasn't just a fakeout because the nameless bandits aren't actually coded to do anything but to fight you to death.
Okay, that's a bunch of poor game design choices, not just one.

Last night I was suddenly obsessed with bdubs and wanted to creature-ify him(more than I already do)
I don't know if anyone else has thought of squirrel bdubs but if they have then credit to them I suppose
I wrote down why a squirrel was perfect for bubbles but the hand writing was awful so I translated it word for word

So I got @enbyhoneyfluff 's old School AU on the brain again. Plus general Human AU shenanigans
Drew more of the Human Bandit, and finally drew the adorable Human Louis design!! I love them both so so much. Legit the most perfect human designs for em, I consider them canon aa I also did human versions of my elsens Monty and Finch. Monty being a teacher who disappeared, and Finch being a new student. I tweaked the design a bit to add a personal touch, but I also doodled some fanart of the School AU's Human Seneca. I wanted to somehow include the original Seneca's unique head, and I settled on a deformed lazy eye and facial scarring.

#jasper rambles#the current sleeping fanfic is my witcher oc gwenna getting attacked by bandits and left for dead only to be rescued by her bestie eskel#and then upon the healer saving her life they realize they gotta head up to kaer morhen Now before the ppath gets too risky w the weather#and gwenna can't reasonably get up. luckily guess who just arrived on their way to kaer morhen? lambert and aiden. eskel is distrustful but#gwenna is like “so THIS is Lambert's cat” and lambert is fake grumpy abt it and then they all bond getting up the mountain and despite lambe#rts grumbling hes prolly abt as worried as eskel abt gwennas wellbeing bc unfortunately hes grown to see this woman as family over the last#decade plus of her wintering with them. aiden and gwenna bond so easily and trade stories and such. they get up the mountain and lambert and#aiden get a moment to breathe before vesemirs intereogation bc he can tell gwenna is injured. she brushes it off by telling him he can give#her a full check up AFTER theyre all settled in. by this point vesemir keeps supplies that are more specifically for helping humans on hand#thanks to her first ever winter w them in which she broke her leg. i just. love them so much <3#no clue where it falls on any sort of canon timeline. books or show. but 🤷#i think itd be cute if gwenna is there the winter geralt brings ciri up for the first time

I think Handsome Jack cried so hard he threw up once he really stood and acknowledged Angel's passing
#i genuinely believe he thought he was doing what was best for her#and maybe he was also punishing her for killing her mother on accident#hes a human there's only so much he can do#and focusing his rage over losing his wife on getting rid of all bandits#bandits that caused the death of his wife by attempting to kidnap his daughter to use her siren abilities to discover vaults#and that being the very same thing that kills her#the game doesnt show you his grief because they dont want you to empathize with someone who is pathologically trying to destroy the other#and i get that. its a simple video game#nuance could muddy things#but i think he loved his daughter#and wept as soon as he was alone#he sought power to protect her#and now he has nothing left#and sometimes i think he may have wanted to die#at the end of BL2#because he failed in completing his one true goal of saving his daughter from herself#anyways sorry#borderlands#handsome jack#redacted
