i will say one thing i don't like about lann's romance is how passive the kc's dialogue options are if you're trying to be nice to him. let me call him hot PLEASE

#why is there 1 option to be nice 1 option to be mean and then 1 option to be unnecessarily cruel #there didn't need to be 2 mean options.#like i think i can see what they were going for (building/breaking his confidence) but it doesn't work 😭#ok actually i should've also been able to like. address the pedestal he puts the commander on. like it's delicious and i love it #but i want to challenge it. i GET the appeal of having a man who worships the ground you walk on but it's at the expense of the #kc's personhood. he sees her more as a symbol than a person. i would've liked to be able to challenge this perception #by maybe having a moment of weakness with him. allow him to see that the commander isn't an unattainable mythic entity.#and it would have worked better for his romance imo. having the kc challenge his perception of her vs #allowing him to keep seeing her as an object of unattainable desire instead of as a person with flaws and weaknesses who he can relate to #i feel like it would make more sense with his bittersweet ending too. of course he doesn't feel like she can truly return his feelings #because she is and will always be above him in some way. even if she is mortal.#because the game has moments like this!!! with seelah!! AND LANN UNRELATED TO HIS ROMANCE!!! BUT NOT WITH HIS ROMANCE!!!!!!!! tell me about wulfrun :3c or elena. or wulfrun and elena

Wulfrun is a weretouched shifter who has struggled with his anger his whole life. He comes from a small warrior clan near Kenabres who want to honor the old ways of Sarkoris, but they worship and dead and bastardized god, and see signs where there are none.

He was a curious and rebellious child, and although he doesn't have any talent or skill for magic, it fascinated him. Such incredible power, power that could help them...it makes no sense to him why they revile it so. He'd try to bring it up with his clansmen, but he would only be met with vitriol, which would inevitably lead to him escalating to violence.

He's eventually exiled for his insolence. He wanders the lands around the Worldwound as a cutthroat for hire, occasionally joining various gangs and parties, but never staying with them for very long. His volatile nature and dislike of authority figures made him very difficult to work with.

He learns a lot in his travels. About the world outside his minuscule clan and himself. He does eventually realize that his anger is the reason he can't seem to keep friends. He gets better at recognizing when he's being a bitch. He gets better at apologizing. He can never seem to stop himself in the moment, though. Because deep down, he likes hurting people. Not that he'll ever admit it.

He had no intention of joining the crusade, initially, but it seems "fate" had other plans for him. And he's doing pretty well, all things considered. He's even made some friends.

Then he chooses (and it was a choice. he'll deny it until his final breath but it was a choice) demon and any and all the progress he's made begins to unravel :]

there's also another reason but that's spoilers for literally the last quest of the game so. have fun :]

Elena under the cut because she's a personal oc who exists in my brainworld (i haven't done Any worldbuilding for it outside of what it needs to be to serve who Elena is as a character)

Elena is a lesbian werewolf who is in toxic yuri with a vampire named Isra. I'm not sure how she became a werewolf, or if she was born as one, but at some point she's captured to become a "wolf for hire", a group of experimental werewolf mercenaries funded by the crown. She accepts this fate. She can't seem to control herself, anyway, so she might as well be put to use by someone who can.

She meets Isra when she's hired by a woefully unprepared group of adventurers who are set on killing her. She's the only one who survives, and only because Isra allowed her to. Elena, humiliated by the fact she was unable to do the one thing she's good at, becomes obsessed with her. Every time she is given the opportunity to try and kill the vampire, she takes it, and every time she loses.

Isra loves it, she sees it as a fun game they play, and she knows she will always win in the end.

The more they fight, the closer they become, and they're battles start looking less like battles and more like a terrible and bloody dance.
