I've kind of realized that I don't care what "aesthetic" my favorite characters have, I don't care if they're more fem or masc or anything at all. I only care that they have the same core personality traits they have in canon that make them who they are. Hopefully their aesthetic is a reflection of this, or enhances this somehow but if people like to get creative in how a character looks or presents, I don't mind that at all!

i’m so sick of these genshin fans saying that natlan feels ‘out of place’ in genshin. when we have the literal ancient god of china wearing a modern western suit. there isnt a single liyue character wearing traditional chinese clothing. you can have your criticisms about how natlan characters don’t feel culturally inspired, but this is not a problem unique to natlan. the divergence from traditional culture and traditional fantasy was there from day one.

and the way it’s being compared to fontaine and mondstadt, which are frequently referred to as ‘the real genshin regions’ because they fit their ideas of fantasy. they fit specific genres of fantasy, namely medieval fantasy and steampunk. i hope i don’t have to spell out why it’s problematic that they only think of the two europe-inspired regions in genshin as the ‘real ones’. or, that all other regions are not as cozy/homely as criticism for the non-europe regions, without any forethought that they might simply be accustomed to western culture and fantasy.

all this while genshin verges on sci-fi with the intergalactic stuff and the whole ‘we are living in a simulation’ thing teyvat has going on. like it’s definitely not ur normal fantasy rpg.

Mostly hcs for sexualities and some gender shit lol (albeit some are old and I might change that) and also it's been a while for some sources so the time they appear on screen might be incorrect jvjdggdjgd

I'm fine with sharing literally all of them, even Apetrully whom I have a bit of a special bond with because he helped me get through one of the hardest times of my life. I'm way too compersive tbh lol
