That Naga Danny gave me ideas:

Python Naga Danny, almost in his 30's and built sturdy and thick like Jason. Looks like he could eat a man whole and not blink.

Runs an orphanage on the outskirts of Gotham, where most people don't bother going because it's easy to "be disappeared" into the woods that the orphanage's backyard connects to.

Red Hood, the local Draugr, has brought kids to him before, and at least one of his little ones is there because they're in witness protection. Anytime anyone comes by, there's always at least one kid either hanging off of his arms, or riding on his tail.

Now imagine his surprise to find a literal harpy (Cass) on his doorstep, with the City Spirit (Bruce/Batman) looming in the background while his daughter handed a very small child to Danny.

Usually, none of the Bats ever come in, always off to save more people.

This time, Danny's smooth whisper of scales on the floor is accompanied by the quiet clicking of talons on his nice wood floor of the entryway. Danny is still holding the child, but they're small enough (and him big enough) that he can hold them in one arm while holding the other one out for the Harpy to perch on. Bare-bones that she is, she doesn't weigh much and his enhanced strength means she seems even lighter to him specifically.

He already knows the older kids are going to tease him for it, but he'd rather that, and being able to carry such a magnificent Harpy specimen this close, than risking holes in his nice floors.

That, and the way the Big Bat is pouting at his daughter in the window while she preens at Danny's attention.

“Your feathers are beautiful,” Danny said. He rubbed the back of the child he was holding as he smiled at the harpy that was standing above him.

She stared at him with wide eyes, her wing feathers fluffing up before she shook out her wings and smiled.

“Thank you,” she said, her face turning pink.

Danny beamed at her, ignoring the way his cheeks felt faintly hotter than usual. “Thank you for bringing this child to me. I know that you must be busy.”

She shook her head. “No. I’m free.”

Danny chuckled, adjusting his shoulders as the harpy on him moved around and perched on his shoulders, her talons digging into his skin.

She was beautiful all over. Her feathers were glossy, and healthy, her talons were strong and sharp, her wings stretched above them both even as she held them tightly to her body. Her eyes were dark, crystal clear like obsidian and mirrors. She was the most beautiful creature he had ever seen.

Danny politely looked away. The child on his arms was staring at him with big eyes with a faint look of bafflement and judgement. Danny continued smiling, now feeling a bit embarrassed that he was so awed by the harpy that was standing on his shoulders.

“Where are we going?” She asked.

“I’m going to introduce this child to the other kids,” he said. After a moment, he asked, “Would you like to come with?”

“Why not?” She asked, tilting her head. Her eyes were entirely focused on him.

Danny looked to the side, where he could faintly see the City Spirit staring at him with eyes of an aggrieved father who was watching his beloved daughter being stolen away by the town fool.

“…. No reason.”

The harpy looked up and glared out the window. The City Spirit disappeared shortly.

The harpy looked back at Danny with a beaming smile. “I’m free. I’ll go with you, okay?”

Danny blinked and then smiled. “Alright. Let’s go.”

Together, he slid along the floor with the harpy still perched on his shoulder.

Graves Are A Gateway

After everything the Amity Park went through, they all became more used to Danny Phantom as Danny Fenton.

Now they're all just accustomed and adapted to the ghost fights and even advised Danny how to fight without destruction in the town while Danny's parents would go around building some ghost repellent in others home in case an actual evil ghost would come and also built a training room for Danny to practice his powers without destroying anything.

They discovered and enhanced Danny's powers and one of them seemed to intrigue Sam.

A power to go to a far place by using Danny's grave as his teleporter and they could build at least three graves for him at max.

And Sam suggested to build one in Gotham since Sam usually visits Gotham because of charity and all that and also in Metropolis since the hero there could help Danny if anything went wrong.

Sam doesn't know about Batman since she's more focused on the gothic themes.

The third one would be at his parents backyard so that Danny could go home quickly.

And so, it was decided.

One in Gotham.

One in Metropolis.

And one in Fenton Works.

One day, Sam went to Gotham and invited Danny and Tucker to test out the grave she built a few months back and the trio plans to meet at Wayne Enterprises. Sadly, Tucker can't go with Danny, not because he was busy, but because the grave only works for the owner which is Danny. Graves are a personal thing.

So Tucker took a plane instead and Danny went to his grave. But as he came out of his grave, he saw two men who looked like a thief, and the two were tied up by the people who were in costumes.

Robin (Damien) was right behind Danny's grave and saw the whole thing.

Before Danny came, Batman, Nightwing and Robin were on patrol. Nightwing is there to catch up.

And the three just saw a grave digger so they went and easily apprehended the criminals.

Nightwing read the tombstone for whose grave that they were to dig up, it was Danny Fenton's and he died quite young. Close to Damien's age.

Nightwing was mad and questioned the criminals while Batman called for the police and stuff while Robin was just right behind the grave when he saw the ghost boy coming out.

the batkids are all arsonists. not, like, on purpose (well, mostly not on purpose), but something about fire and chaos seems to follow them wherever they go. bruce is exhausted, alfred’s threatening to retire, and no one will admit they’re the problem. but they all are.

dick is a human disaster when it comes to fire. he swears it’s never his fault, but somehow, flames just happen around him. one time, he was trying to impress a date with a candlelit dinner on a rooftop. super romantic, right? except gotham’s wind did what gotham’s wind does, and two minutes later, there were tiny fires everywhere. when bruce asked why he thought a rooftop candlelight dinner was a good idea, dick just shrugged and said, “it’s gotham, it’s already mostly on fire anyway.” bruce was not amused.

then there’s jason, who doesn’t even try to deny it. he’s the only one who uses fire on purpose, and he has zero shame about it. take the time he literally firebombed a warehouse full of black mask’s weapons. bruce was like, “you can’t just blow things up, jason!” and jason just looked at him and said, “sure i can. i did it, didn’t i?” another time, he got into an argument with bruce about restraint, and his actual response was, “fire solves everything. name one problem fire hasn’t solved for me. i’ll wait.” bruce did not have a rebuttal.

tim, though, is the sleeper agent of the arsonist squad. his fires are never intentional, which is maybe more concerning. like, he’ll be working on some dangerous experiment at 3 a.m., completely running on fumes, and then boom, something catches fire. “it’s fine,” he always says. “totally under control.” (it’s never fine. it’s never under control.) there was one time he set off a controlled explosion in the cave, and alfred just deadpanned, “master tim, the next time you feel the urge to ‘experiment,’ kindly do it somewhere that isn’t my kitchen or the batcave.” tim promised he’d try, but no one believed him.

and damian? damian is the wildcard. he doesn’t mean to start fires all the time, but he’s definitely more comfortable with flames than any kid should be. one time, alfred caught him with a blowtorch in the backyard, trying to “practice survival techniques.” when alfred asked where he even got a blowtorch, damian just said, “you don’t want to know.” another time, he tried to enhance the bat-signal with fireworks because “it needs to be more intimidating.” bruce nearly had a stroke.

and don’t even get alfred started. that man keeps at least five fire extinguishers within reach at all times. if he hears so much as a match strike, he’s already there, extinguisher in hand and murder in his eyes. he’s confiscated flamethrowers, lighter fluid, sparklers, and a bottle of whiskey jason once tried to turn into a molotov cocktail. (“it was for science,” jason argued. alfred was not buying it.)

bruce, meanwhile, has just accepted his fate. no matter how many “no fires in the house” rules he makes, someone is going to find a way to set something on fire. at this point, he’s pretty sure they do it on purpose just to mess with him. and honestly? they probably do.

This year, GOCO’s offshoot Generation Wild is distributing over 100,000 free packets of wildflower seeds to collection points at museums, Denver Parks and Rec. offices, and libraries all over the state to encourage kids and families to plant the seeds in their backyards.

The Save the Bees! initiative aims to make the state more beautiful, more ecologically diverse, and more friendly to pollinators.

According to a new report from the Colorado Department of Natural Resources, 20% of Colorado’s bumblebees are now at risk of extinction. Even in a small area like a backyard, planting wildflowers can make a positive impact on the local ecosystem and provide native bees with a healthy place to live.

“The Western Bumblebee population has declined in Colorado by 72%, and we’re calling on kids across Colorado to ‘bee’ the change,” said GOCO Executive Director Jackie Miller.

Named after Generation Wild’s official mascot “Wilder,” the Wilderflower Seed Mix was developed in partnership with Applewood Seed Co. and packets are now available for pickup at designated partner sites including more than 80 Little Free Library boxes.

By distributing 100,000 Wilderflower packets, Generation Wild is providing more than 56 million seeds for planting in every nook and cranny of the state. All seeds are regionally-native to Colorado, which is important for sustaining the living landscape of bees, birds, and other animals.
