in lieu of having posted any writing/headcanons/asks in the past few days because i have been *so* busy and unable to do anything fandom-related which is terrible and evil, i have a poll out of morbid curiosity and self-indulgence. i've been meaning to ramble here about how i feel about DC's lack fo Deaf representation and which Batfam members i would personally make Deaf, but i am mildly curious about the larger opinion and now i will subject you all to the question, i would love to hear thoughts/opinions/headcanons on any specific choices. (would love d/Deaf/HoH opinions esp but i'm mostly expecting this to reach the hearing crowd, so opinions from hearing ppl are ones i'm very curious about. if you've never given it thought before you are going to now or else /lh)

Overwatch: Because the developers refused to elaborate further with the lore on account of corporate greed and mismanagement, everything is up to speculation and you can basically do whatever you want with these settings and characters.

at this point I don't even know if tag fragmentation in the general russian holmes space is worth addressing. a few years ago I successfully kept the ancient customs intact because I wrote a post so deranged and pretentious it displeased people into doing what I wanted but nowadays what's the point in making a grand return of being terminally online if yall kinda right

i thjnk that in the end what bothers me about a lot of ragbros reconciliation fan content is that it seems to treat their making up as a single event. as if they just need to have one heartfelt conversation and apologize and hug each other and then they will be officially reconciliated. as if they wouldn't need to rebuild their relationship slowly! (as if they haven't already started to, albeit tentatively). as if they wouldn't need to first let go of old grievances, both the big ones and the little ones. let go of the guilt they place on both themselves and on each other. it cannot possibly happen in one night! it's learning to talk to each other again until it isn't awkward anymore. until the smallest annoyances stop bringing back all the bitterness to the surface. it's learning to open up to each other again! this time with no awful secrets between them! it's discussing those secrets! discussing their shared grief and making an effort to understand the sorrows they do not share. i cannot stress enough how much i want you to understand it needs to be a very painful very saddening but also very hopeful and maybe cathartic process

Nobody ever talks about how sassy Smokescreen is like in predacons rising while they are talking to Predaking somebody way stronger and bigger than Megatron and while Bumblebee is trying to be respectful by calling Predaking "your highness" Smokescreen follows bumblebees lead but calls Predaking "your highness" in the most sassiest and taunting way 😭

Your son has a death wish this boy has no fear he did similar things like that to Megatron he told this man to "think fast" and snatched the key from his hand and when Megatron ask for his name he responded with "why? Who wants to know?"

Smh Smokescreen has no sense of danger 😭

And yesssss!!! He’s so sassy!!!! One of my favorite moments is from the movies when he goes up to Bee and tells him he might have been a Prime and wraps up that conversation with “yeah, I said.” Like chill out my dude!! I quote it all the time. He didn’t have to be that way but the movie really is Smokescreen’s series of reckless one liners.

I need more sassy Smokescreen content. More “dumbass who thinks he is hot shit but has foot in mouth syndrome to the max”. I also have the need for that cocky dumbass to get checked by literally anyone.
