Long awaited part 2!
I couldn't fit all 759 voices/circles/squiggles in the last panel :(
Geez Odysseus, if I can't fit all of them in a square box, then just how exactly loud are those screams?

@irunaki’s Baby Owlthena au if Athena went on her own journey to go look for Odysseus and came upon Circe’s island (beautiful Circe design is of course by @gigizetz)
(I like to think Athena was told about the Pigs and Circe was told about Athena’s identity)
@midnightsays you hit the nail right on the head with that lol
Part 2

In Wisdom Saga, it's so funny that Athena describes her relationship ending with Oddysseus as "we grew apart" like they just stopped talking as opposed to the two of them singing an entire song dragging each other through the mud. "You've grown soft, your dead friends can attest" "I mistook you for a general" "After all, you're just a man" "Why's your life spent all alone?" "[you're] selfish and prideful and vain"
Yeah, you two really drifted apart over time, huh?

Odysseus dies during the war and by the laws of combat/due to some prophecy stating that only a war strategy from the mind of Laertiades will cause the fall of Troy, Telemachus is brought to the shores of Troy.
10 year old Telemachus, who has never even held a weapon before, who was hiding behind his teary-eyed mother's skirts when they came to fetch him.
Penelope falling to her knees, clutching the feet of the ones trying to take her son away and begging to not do this, that she has just lost her husband, that she cannot lose a son too, that her boy is so young. That her brother-in-law Eurylochus can avenge her husband.
Grief-stricken Diomedes, hovering and protecting Telemachus, risking his own life time and time again to ensure Telemachus' safety. Fighting with all the commanders to keep him from the battlefield as much as possible.
Athena always standing behind Telemachus, for the first time making her presence evidently known, lending as much as strength, wisdom and courage as she can to her Champion's son.
Eurylochus, Polites and the other Ithacans being so enraged at Telemachus' presence here, he is just a boy, their Prin– their King. He shouldn't be here. But he is, so they do their best to take care of him and ignore their breaking heart everytime Telemachus looks at them with Odysseus' face and speaks with Odysseus' voice, knowing that he is the last piece of their king they have left.

Since Hermes is essentially the god of tricks/wit, and Ody is his descendant, I just love the idea of him watching parts of Odysseus' journey and excitedly pointing and slapping the god or goddess next to him, like "DID YOU SEE THAT!?"
Think about it: Odysseus literally sacking Troy by hiding in a giant horse; bluffing so well that Athena- goddess of wisdom- falls for it; drugging Polyphemus with lotus wine (Hermes would be proud).
You can't convince me that Hermes wasn't somewhere eating popcorn during "Ruthlessness" and that when Ody opens the mother f-ing wind bag like a cocky little sh!t, Hermes didn't burst out laughing and start applauding.
He fluttered down to Uncle Poseidon after that, like, "Ohoho! My darling little grand-baby just schooled you!"

So, we know that in the Odyssey Penelope sleeps a lot. This can be interpreted in various ways.
In some cases it can derive from fairytale themes, for example the heroine who sleeps during the final battle and when she wakes up everything is solved.
If we try to immerse ourselves in her psychology we can also imagine that sleep is a moment of escape from reality for Penelope. A reality that causes her such anguish that she often begs Artemis to kill her. More than once the queen of Ithaca falls asleep because she is exhausted from tears.
We could also talk about the fact that Penelope has a very particular relationship with dreams. Some of her dreams are prophetic, others are sent by Athena, others derive from her intimate desires, as when she dreams of making love with Odysseus, as young as when he left for Troy.
But ignoring all these possible meanings for a moment, it would be so funny if Penelope slept so much because she completely fucked up her sleep-wake rhythms while undoing her shroud during the night. She spent three years undoing at night what she wove during the day, and I'm not suggesting that it took her all night every night, but surely after a few days at the very least she will have started yawning at the breakfast table.
Can you imagine the suitors discovering the deception and her being like "I'll think of something else to fool them, but finally I can go back to sleeping like a person". During the Odyssey she is still getting used to it, it will take her a while.
AND IN FACT when Odysseus returns and the two spend the whole night talking and making up for lost time, Penelope doesn't bat an eye. She had just taken the nap of her life (during the day of course). The text says that it is Odysseus who at a certain point is too tired and finally falls asleep. Obviously the fact that she is also sleeping is most likely implied BUT my new theory is that she stayed up watching him sleep, heart-eyed and finally happy again.
Sometimes I enjoy imagining stupid things.

Currently working on a graphic novel (which will still be a concept until an editor decides it's worth paying me to complete), I don't have much yet, working on concept pages. For now have those character drawings as I keep working on scenario and storyboarding-
The temporary title is Odysseus: the last journey, and it's going to be pretty much a sequel to the Odyssey. Featuring Telemachus, Diomedes, and a lot of old and godly faces.

Y'know, I don't think Zeus claimed Athena disrespected him just because she won the game. Like, he's definitely a big sore loser baby, but I'm preeeetty sure it's not that she won the game, it's because the WAY she won the game was by leveraging the fact that he constantly cheats on his wife to get Hera to vote free Odysseus. THAT'S where the "disrespect" comes in. Not by winning, but by winning via reminding Hera that he's a lying cheating scumbag, hitting his marriage and more importantly to him, his sex life (aka, hitting him where it'll actually make him hurt)

More Baby Annabeth thoughts to ruin your day:
In the show, Echidna explains that monsters trach demigods by smelling their fear; it’s part of the hunt. Once a demigod is aware of who they are and why they’re in danger, monsters will come for them. Annabeth was constantly hunted by monsters from the age of 5. MEANING THIS LITTLE BABY ANGLE WAS SCARED AND ALL HER STEPMOTHER AND FATHER DID WAS MAKE HER FEEL LIKE ITS HER FAULT!!! SHE WAS SO ALIENATED FOR TWO YEARS AND BLAMED HERSELF!!!
