“the c in chris stands for clever” 😭😭😭
warmth
Tumblr media Tumblr media
pairing: bangchan x gn!reader
genre: slight angst, fluff
warnings: reader calls chris stupid (lovingly)
summary: bangchan, being the clingy boyfriend he is, needs your warmth in order for him to sleep; he’ll do anything, to get that.
author’s note: hiii!! i just had to pour my thoughts into a fic and it just hit me how chan’s probably the type of boyfriend that has to hug you to sleep. pardon my mispellings and improper grammar, happy reading loves <3
————————————————————————
arguements are normal happenings in any relationship. whether it be different opinions or a typical debate, these type of mishaps are expected to occur. and that’s exactly what happened tonight.
the clock struck 12, indicating it’s been two hours since their fallout. it may’ve been the lack of sleep or the stress, the two of you got into a heated arguement and spewed things that quite hurt each other. chris lied beside you, with his front facing your back. knowing how stubborn the both of you were when things like this happened, both agreed to talk it out in the morning.
you left the living room first, heading straight to the bathroom to do your night routine and dove head first into your bed, sleep quickly finding you.
chris on the other hand, had a hard time sleeping due to the lack of body warmth from his one and only. yes, he loved sleeping without his shirt on, but he hated the thought of the two of you not cuddling into dreamland.
the lightbulb in his head turned on, aiming for the air conditioner’s remote. decreasing the temperature so it’ll be extremely uncomfortable for one to sleep without someone hugging them, he smiled slightly at the idea. was it mean? he doesn’t really care, he just wants to hug his beloved to sleep.
stirring awake from the cold, you realized how chilly the room was. your thick pajamas did nothing to help you get back to sleep, so in your half-awake state, you subconciously reached out for you boyfriend who’s actually freezing; that’s what he gets for not putting a shirt on even after lowering the temperature drastically.
something inside snapped you conscious, halting your actions. remembering the arguement the both of you had earlier, you pulled away; opting to stand up and find the remote control.
the c in chris stands for clever, he hid the remote prior to your abrupt awakening.
“gimme the remote,” you said softly while putting out your hand, not fully out of your dozed state.
shaking his head playfully, he made grabby hands at you. if you weren’t pissed at him, you’d give in already; but the pride in you didn’t let you do so.
“’m sleeping outside then,” you replied, unamused with his behavior.
quick to stop your actions, he gripped your wrist and literally dragged you into bed. ignoring your tantrum, he tucked the duvet up to both of your chins. caressing your head and enjoying the warmth you’re giving him, he noticed your movements; wanting him to let go.
“i’m sorry baby, i really am,” the man hugging you whispered, “we’ll talk in the morning, for now, let’s stay like this.”
looking into his eyes with your sleepy state, you knew he was genuine. he was always sincere regarding apologies.
having little to zero energy left to fight back, you let out an incoherent okay and almost instantly, you nuzzled up againt his chest, breathing him in. smiling in response, chris placed his head right on top of yours; not forgetting to kiss your temple. letting the warmth of his hands and the duvet engulf you; drowziness swallowing you once again.
feeling both of his arms tightening its grip on you, you managed to let out, “if you wanted to hug me, just say so. no need to lower the temperature into ice age, stupid—”
cutting off your ramble with a peck that took you aback, he giggled seeing your furrowed brows and slightly puckered lips.
“sleep, you need it baby,” the man you loved said, wanting you to get the most of tonight’s rest. “good night, i love you,” he whispered while stroking your hair gently.
“mmm, i love you too, stupid.”

NARUMI GEN WITH A MITSURI! LIKE READER🌸
Tumblr media
🌸Synopsis: Although the elite forces of the first division were known for how strict and stern they are, there stands a girl who seems to act the polar opposite.
Mitsuri! reader masterlist
tags: narumi x reader, fem!reader, reader is similar to Mitsuri from KNY, fluff, reader is kikoru’s mentor sort of, narumi is a loser, can be platonic but might lean into romantic later on
Right off the bat, it’s no secret that the 1st Division is filled with elites. Led by Japan’s strongest, Gen Narumi, it houses some of the most talented, toughest hard hitters the Defense Force could be proud of.
Though most seem tight-lipped and stern, there exists one exception… one whose face full of smiles and bright demeanor seemed to make her shine amidst her more reserved peers.
You were thought of as a sort of spectacle in the Defense Force by newcomers and veterans alike. In a place where certain death came close often, where many souls have been hardened, you still greeted your comrades with a smile, your voice booming and sweet, gushing over delicious sakura mochi and voicing straightforward compliments to other officers with unparalleled excitement.
You were kind of the exact opposite of what one would envision a strong member of the corps. At least, compared to the serious and foreboding image that belonged to people like Captain Narumi.
In fact, everyone could agree that seeing the two of you next to each other when duty calls always felt jarring.
Despite his rather unruly, loser like behavior, Narumi was able to keep up his cool image once he suited up, his large and foreboding bayonet casting a large shadow as if to intimidate those who laid eyes on him (no one would guess that he was knee deep in a Yamazon addiction and pushing his rank on shooter games an hour prior). His soldiers were no different.
And there you were, a bright ray of sunshine with red dusted cheeks full of smiles. There was absolutely no way to hide your lively expression as you gushed over how cool Shinonome was, how Kikoru looked absolutely amazing with her axe, how you even complimented Kafka’s determined expression.
“Shinonome-chan! You’re as cool as always!” “The feel I’m getting from Kikoru-chan is so intense!” “Aaa! Kafka is working so hard today.” Your expression held all that you had to say.
And of course, the compliments you had for Narumi were just as intense, and served as fuel for the fire that was his ego.
Although you came from a great place, it’d be really troublesome if he got too into his head about it, so before Narumi could ever feel the sweet wave of ego boosts headed to his way, Hasegawa would already be behind him, chopping the top of his head with a hand as he orders the captain to focus (he sulks a bit outside of missions about this, glaring at the other officers who were privy to what he couldn’t indulge in).
“If your personality wasn’t as trashy, maybe we’d actually let you hear (y/n)’s compliments.”
“ISN’T SHE ONE OF MY OFFICERS? WHY WON’T YOU ACTUALLY LET ME NEAR HER? AT LEAST LET ME HEAR MORE ABOUT HOW GREAT I AM–OI!” sulked a very fussy Narumi being scolded by Hasegawa as Shinonome discreetly tugged you further away from him.
Despite your more unorthodox personality and how you were seemingly airheaded at a first glance–not the best look for a fierce warrior, you had amassed a great deal of respect in the Defense Force. There was a reason you made it in the first division, alive and well-loved by everyone around you.
Because behind your loveable demeanor and slightly childish antics, you were absolutely merciless in battle.
It was always a treat for the personnel in the control room and your veteran officers when newcomers came in and saw you in battle for the first time, gawking at the clearly unexpected jump between what you were like on and off the field.
It was quickly understood how you had amassed so much respect. How swiftly you cleared the breached areas infested with yonju, how you handled a swarm of them all by yourself, how it seemed like you were superhuman as you bent and twirled around in the air, sticking all of your landings and landing hits with such power.
You weren’t an ordinary fighter. Not when you sped past a group of injured officers and promptly took down a kaiju speeding towards them with your feet, before finishing the job with a large blast that felt unfathomable from the gun you were holding.
Not with how you tore apart the yonju with what felt like pure strength, even with your high combat power. It largely baffled the people in the control room as they cross checked your initial assessment with your on field vitals, scrambling over the discovery of how your muscles were denser and seemed to display a sense of strength multiple times stronger than the common man. Paired with the grueling training you endured in the first division and the adrenaline from the imminent threat you were facing, you were a beast.
Yet, you never lost touch of your real self. Never let the losses numbed you in the line of work you chose. You mourned, you wept, yet you kept smiling, your touch warm to the new recruits who caught a major loss in their batch after a major kaiju attack, your words of encouragement and gentle smiles receiving more and more appreciation as your time in the first division turned from weeks to months to years.
By the time battles became commonplace for you, you had caught the heads of many in the upper command, including the gaze of Narumi Gen, who, had he not seen your feats in person, wouldn’t be able to believe that the girl who awkwardly tripped from excitement and owed 50 push ups on her first day on the job was the same girl who was able to hold her own against a daikaiju before reinforcements came.
It was a large fight that required heavy backup in the wake of a sudden daikaiju appearance, following what was initially a smaller operation in a remote landmark. With only the small team from the prior operation dispatched at the time, Narumi was immediately called for backup.
He listened intently on how the mission was progressing. How half the squad had nearly been wiped out. Not injured, gone. Help was still over twenty minutes away by helicopter.
“We’re rerouting your squadron to team B,” one of the operators spoke into his earpiece. “The daikaiju attack separated them several kilometers away. Prioritize the survivors.”
“Understood.” The loss of lives was unfortunately something you never had the time to grief over in a time and place like this. That was something Narumi knew very well. So, he simply prepares for the drop, listening in to the comms.
And then, the unexpected happened.
“High energy readings detected from zone A!”
“This–this is all from?!--”
A series of giant blasts alongside the roar of the daikaiju ravaged through the air and sea, just at their drop point. Alarms blared as their squad carefully regained their balance, weapons at the ready. “Confirm the other source of the blasts! We don’t know if it’s from another kaiju or something else!”
It had been twenty minutes since the start of the operation. The vitals of the large majority of the remaining officers had been detected near the safe zone they’ve enforced, with Narumi’s team now ordered for subjugation. As Narumi makes his way to the collision zone, he feels a strong, foreboding aura, the same one that must have taken part in that earlier series of blasts.
“It’s…” The comms blare up as the drone accompanying his squadron scans the vicinity. Although he was on high alert from the threat. knowing what they were up against, nothing could have prepared him for the sight he was about to see next.
“--Officer (L/N) (Y/N)!” As your name rang through his ears, Narumi’s eyes widened as he saw your worn out figure balancing the machine gun left behind by your platoon leader, severely injured–but alive.
And the look in your eyes was merciless.
It was a rare occasion, something that had seldomly ever happened in his time at the Force, where Narumi had internally taken a step back in astoundment. As if the seer desperation and aura you carried manifested physically, telling people a story with no words.
It was you, the officer holding on against a large class Kaiju in those mere twenty minutes all by herself, hoisting the machine gun your platoon leader entrusted to you.
“Captain Narumi,” you spoke with so much respect, even in such a state. The same girl that was so smiley and bouncy in the dining halls, the girl that kept gushing over cute cats and how exciting love could be. The sweet cadet who was akin to sakura mochi. “I’ve led the rest of my team to the rendezvous zone. Please, let me hel…”
All you remembered next was everything fading to black, hearing a final sentence from the captain himself. “You worked hard, (L/N). Leave the rest to me.”
He later learned that you hacked, slashed, and had fired so many rounds, you weakened the entire constitution of the Kaiju, so much so that you had basically cleared a path for him.
And in doing so, you also caught Narumi Gen’s eye. He even ended up vouching for the clearance of your special weapon himself.
He came to not only respect you, but to learn more about you.
Your cheeriness was something that was quite new for him to grasp. You were so eager and outspoken, yet at the same time emotional and bashful. He still remembers how you became a flustered mess when he personally came to visit your hospital room after your run in with the aforementioned daikaiju, your hands flailing around in embarrassment as you choked on your food at his presence (was this the same girl that shot that kaiju in the eye at point blank?)
Don’t get him started on when you were to report to the higher ups about the daikaiju, coinciding with the meeting to discuss your promotion.
Could it have been worse? Definitely. But it was certainly still an interesting sight as you attempted to answer the question regarding your fight with the daikaiju.
Okay, maybe you got a bit too excited… “When I saw the daikaiju, it was like GWAHHH and then my heart felt like BAM BAM BAM, but then it went WHOOOOOMMMMM as we ran around the entire forest, THEN THEN THENNNN!!!! GAAAAAAHHH–”
“--and!” your breath hitched as you caught yourself mid burst. There, you could not only feel Narumi, Hasegawa, and some other senior officers staring at you, but even Director General Shinomiya. Your lips pursed into an extremely awkward smile as realization daunted upon you.
“...My apologies,” you bowed with your entire body, your forehead hitting the floor. “I’ll try to explain it again.”
Narumi couldn’t tell if he was mortified or still in disbelief. More mortified than you maybe. It felt like his soul had been sucked out. Even Hasegawa was at a loss for words, glaring at him from the side of his eye. Ah shit.
“I promise she has potential,” he swore to Isao after in his office, also experiencing second hand embarrassment. “Please… please don’t mind her.”
Present day, you had earned your spot as a formidable part of the first division as a platoon leader, inheriting your late senior’s position alongside their weapon, worthy from strength alone.
But things were a bit different with Narumi now, even with the man’s result oriented resolve.
Because it wasn’t just your raw power that made up your strength, it was your being—what made you, you. And it was daunting for Narumi, an entirely new avenue of consideration for him.
He never really thought about it, but your personality was the key factor that really placed the significance you had for him.
It wasn’t like you lacked strength. No, you were definitely on par with Kikoru. If he wasn’t training her, he could find the blonde tagging along with you, with you beaming in excitement as you smothered her in compliments and encouragement. You had your full trust in her and her future, something Narumi didn’t voice out as verbally.
Likewise could be said for Kikoru—she had absolute trust in you and how powerful you were, eager to have you teach her your mid air maneuvers. Narumi encouraged it, actually. You both carried heavy weaponry into the field, packing a particularly mean punch. She could pick up a thing or two.
But he also remembers you as the girl smiling ear to ear as she asked him about his figure collection. The girl who was always honest with her compliments, even though Hasegawa would make sure that your words wouldn’t reach him. The girl who rushed headfirst to comfort a child after defeating a kaiju together with him, a warm smile akin to summer warmth.
“It’s ok now,” Narumi perks up, fixing his grip on his bayonet as he turns to watch you crouch down to some rubble. “The bad kaiju is gone. You can come out.”
The child trembles in fear, seeing Narumi with his big weapon might’ve confused him even more. “It’s okay,” you softly held out your hand, Narumi watching from behind in intrigue. “That’s Narumi-niichan. He got rid of the bad guys. He’s a friend.”
Slowly, the child crawls over to you, and you hoist him up to your arms. “Are you hungry? It’s almost time for dinner. How about we look for your mama and papa together? They must be worried.”
He sniffles a bit. Speaking a few names. You ask again out of curiosity. “My sisters…”
Narumi stiffens as he feels a few more pairs of eyes around them. Noticing them as well, your mouth forms a small “O”, before smiling again. “I’ll carry all of you to your mom and pops then! I’ll make it super fun!”
Narumi watched in bewilderment as you balanced a total of four kids on your upper body, making your way to the closest shelter.
“I promise to report back! Kids, say thank you to Narumi-niichan!” A chorus of high pitched voices thanking him broke the silence before you excused yourself, leaving the captain alone.
That was a show of your feats of strength—your true strength, Narumi realizes.
You were certainly a remarkable character in the force, and he’d never change that.
Slowly but surely, your presence definitely left a mark on him. He also learns about your big appetite, and it became a common sight to see the two of you together at the dining hall, heaps of trays on your side as Narumi gamed on his handheld beside you.
“You know, Narumi-kun,” your voice held that same cheerful note that was as soft as early spring, eyes shining in pure delight. “When I see those delicious fried onigiri they serve in the dining hall, I get hungry again!!” You beam, before regaining your composure. “Ah, don’t tell anyone else ok?”
He secretly puts in the word to make it a permanent meal, alongside your favorite foods. Hasegawa definitely notices.
Narumi enjoys sparring with you. Though he is boastful of his own strength, honed by Isao himself, your midair techniques and combat keep you a fresh and interesting opponent. Likewise, Narumi tested your finesse. Despite the physical prowess you carried, you still had to hone your skill, and Narumi was one of the best players in the game as of now. It kept the rounds interesting.
The two of you also fight really well together.
Which would you rather die from? Squadron Style Bayonet Technique Number Two: Slash Salvo, or Sixth Form: Cat Legged Winds of Love?
Spoiler: both of them. With your high physical prowess and insane flexibility, you’re one of if not the only officer in the first division able to directly tag team alongside Narumi, with his otherwise individualistic fighting preference.
If Hasegawa’s role was to actually keep the division in check, giving orders to the other soldiers while Narumi sped forward, you were the second DPS (Narumi’s gamer terms) following ensuite. You could be beside him, being his second heavy hitter to clear the path, or a reliable tank to decimate other formidable foes that Narumi wasn’t occupied with.
On the occasions where the two of you partnered up together to fight a particularly tricky kaiju, that was when the peak of your techniques used together would come into play. Acting as two heavy hitters, Narumi focuses on taking out the main body, alternating between slashes and shots.
Should the Kaiju be able to handle his regular onslaught of attacks, then it might think it’ll stand a chance, but make no mistake. When its limbs or other means of attack come into play, you’ve already lunged forward with your other special weapon—one especially crafted for you after your innate flexibility—the whip-like sword completely unique to any other weapon found in the force. Its first and only bearer.
The kaiju lets out a painful shriek as you slice its many tendrils up into ribbons, stopping any of them from even reaching Narumi. With every attempt to regenerate, every attempt in seething anger to launch attacks to your captain, you never failed to get in the way, lodging yourself in between and countering until its regeneration couldn’t keep up. If Narumi wanted an opening, then it’s your job as a platoon leader to get it done. “CAPTAIN!”
Although the two of you work well in battle, Narumi always scoffs a bit at how flashy your techniques are, a reoccuring theme in the 1st Division. “Show off,” he thinks to himself—being completely hypocritical—smiling as he readied his final stance. With Squadron Style Bayonet, the battle was over, the core taken out.
Upon returning to base, Narumi had already fished you for dozens of compliments, to the disdain of Hasegawa.
“Please don’t take advantage of the good and honest nature of our Platoon Leader,” the 1st division officers sigh, watching as Hasegawa scolds him to no end again.
You’re one of the Defense Forces’ officers that Narumi acknowledges and respects, great enough to fight alongside him. A strong feat courtesy of all the hard work and determination you’ve put with your time in the force, which only made you more admirable.
In fact, as Narumi and General Shinomiya convene in a meeting, discussing the future endeavors needed to ensure the future of the Defense Force, your name alongside others came to mind. With your years of service and direct surveillance from him and Narumi, your potential has never ceased to cap itself.
You were essential in the young generation that was to take over.
And maybe, just maybe, when it’s time to break the news…
Narumi runs his hands through the documents in his grip, your photo ID, credentials, and combat assessment printed in fine ink.
You’d rise for the potential of your own numbers suit.

SEVENTEEN ATLA HEADCANONS
genre. headcanons. avatar the last airbender au. warnings. none. featuring. ot13 seventeen. wc. 1.6k. (around 100 words each) request. no. a/n. obviously i've been on a svt atla kick since burnt promises, second chances. i'd be open to writing fics for any of these small headcanons if anyone is particularly interested :)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
SEUNGCHEOL
Ugh, Cheol is really hard. I kinda see him as any nation and also none at the same time. For the lack of other Water Tribe on the list, I’ll give him Water Tribe, but I don’t even think he’s a bender. He’d be a passionate hunter of the Southern Water Tribe, and a very good one, but not a bender. He’d always be eager to help out and fit his role as a true leader. He’s looked up to because he protects his people without fail. He’s good at strategics and known for his bravery. I see him fitting a role like Sokka’s father, but I don’t see him as anything glamorous like Water Tribe Royalty. He’s down to Earth and humble and honest. He leads and the people follow.
JEONGHAN
Jeonghan is an airbender. He’s witty and intelligent, and a great asset to his nation. He’d be in an Air temple close to the Earth Kingdom, and he often helps out with strategics if they ever need it. Definitely a kind and angel baby, but if there’s anyone who needs dealing with, he will personally take the task up. He’s world renowned and has allies and friends in every single nation. When he’s not busy, he’ll spend his time travelling around and immersing himself in the different cultures of the nations. He’s beaten Water Tribe hunters at their own hunt, evaded earthbender attacks in the ring because of how light he is on his feet. And his agility and wit proves to be useful whenever he goes head to head with a firebender. He can often predict their next moves and avoid attacks before they’re even fired at him.
JOSHUA
Joshua is Water Tribe!! Definitely a Water Tribe prince, or even a poor boy from the Northern Water Tribe whose parents couldn’t afford water bending lessons for him, so he would sneak around and watch lessons without getting caught. He’s mostly self taught, so he’s not exactly the best, but he can still hold his own. If he’s a Water Tribe prince, then he probably got bored with water bending very quickly as a child and started figuring out ways to skip his lessons lol. He knows clever ways to bribe or fool his masters into letting him slack off, but he also has to build enough skill to show at least a little improvement. He’s probably more interested in carving proposal necklaces to give to his future girlfriend than improving his bending skills.
JUNHUI
Jun is Fire Nation, and he’s extremely talented at Fire Bending. He probably runs a tea shop with his family and takes lessons on the side; just a regular middle class kid. He’s not aiming for a military position or anything high up, but he uses his skills to help him in daily life. He might have friends from places higher up in the city, and because of that, he got to take a visit to Royal Fire Academy for Girls. Definitely turns some heads— practically the whole school is crushing on him by the end of the 2 hour visit, and he enjoys the attention that he wouldn’t usually get at home. It’s safe to say that he’s invited back given the significant improvement in attendance and performance after his initial visit.
SOONYOUNG
Another airbender, only because he’s so agile. Like the spider choreo really makes me see him as someone who just likes to swing around upside down for fun. He’ll play pranks on the older monks, or just anyone he can get his hands on. He’s a lot like Aang in that way. He definitely creates his own airbending moves, because he is a choreographer!!! Somehow takes a trip to the Earth Kingdom because it was his life goal to see a tigerdillo in real life. Once he meets one, he somehow adopts it, and settles down in the Earth Kingdom from there on! He’s perfectly happy, and can he even pose as an earthbender if he’s smart about it.
WONWOO
Anyone could probably guess that I see Wonwoo as Fire Nation. I wrote an entire 14.5k fic about it which is expecting a part 2, but I just think he fits it so much? Especially in a role like the Fire Lord or some notable higher up who is skilled at firebending and definitely owns a dragon (if we’re talking a time period before/during the dragon hunts). He’d be the type to just be a natural at it and reach a high mastery at an early age. He’s such a skilled fighter, and definitely knows how to control his flame. He prefers to study directly from dragons instead of old masters, whose teachings feel regurgitated and watered down, which sounds pretentious, but it’s one of the reasons why he got so good.
JIHOON
I see Jihoon as an Earth bender. He’s short and stout but HE'S SO BUFF. He definitely has the density in him to move some rocks, he’s practically built like The Boulder but without the height????? I definitely see him as part of the royal guard, but definitely not an Earth King. He might teach Earth Bending or get posted out on the coast near the Fire Nation or something— but he definitely has a military position. Somewhere where he can use his earthbending to its full potential. Not the most talkative, but definitely the most efficient, so he climbs the ranks like nobody's business and everyone knows to respect every word that comes out of his mouth. If you say even a word about his height, he’ll throw a rock at your head before you can finish the sentence.
SEOKMIN
It was hard to pick between Water Tribe and Fire Nation for Seokmin, but I think he’s ultimately Fire Nation. I see him as an actor for plays, and he definitely uses his firebending to win over the audience. It got to the point that even though he’s from a small town in the Fire Nation, he became a household name and got increasingly popular until he eventually found himself acting in front of the Fire Lord. Once he got rich enough from it, he got a spot in the most infamous acting troupe in the Fire Nation. His favourite role to play is, of course, the Dragon Emperor in Love Amongst the Dragons.
MINGYU
Just a bulky earthbender I don’t know what to say. He probably got recruited to some military position because he’s fit and can hold his own in a fight, but boy’s just really a sweetheart. He doesn’t enjoy smashing people with rocks, so he tries to get out of the military as soon as possible. He instead works as a carpenter of sorts? Builds elaborate structures with his earthbending, and has a surprisingly artistic touch to his creations. Popular with the older ladies because he is a gentleman.
MINGHAO
I see him as an airbender, but I cannot imagine him with a bald head LIKE HELP. But let's say he is, and for aesthetic purposes, keep the long haired Minghao. He practically floats and flies through the air with his airbendings. He’s probably more of a lemur guy than a sky bison guy. I can imagine him having 1 or 2 lemurs who he spends most of his time with. Obviously very light on his feet and into meditation. He’s one of those star students in the class that the teacher picks as an example for the other students to watch and learn from.
SEUNGKWAN
A waterbender, and he’s good because he focused and studied the traditions of it. He knows the importance of the basics, and when he’s teaching, he can get mad pretty quick if he catches a novice waterbender doing a technique lazily. He teaches them the hard way, making the floor an ice rink or slapping in the face with a water tentacle if they make a silly mistake. But he’s a respected master. (Not to say that he’s old, but he holds the respect of an old master). Also a great healer for the Water Tribe. He thinks it’s important for the men to not just learn how to fight with spears and slices of water, but also to heal the tribe, and he offers his lessons to the women of the tribe as well.
VERNON
Another Fire Nation boy. He’s so skilled he can redirect lightning and all that jazz. He’s a worldwide guy too, so he’s definitely familiar with the other nations and their bending to a certain extent. (Like Iroh, studying the Water Tribe helped him with creating new techniques within firebending). He has a dragon because he’s hot like that, and would hold master firebending classes lol. Definitely has connections to the Royal Family and I could even see him serving as a personal guard or something of that sort. His skills aren’t to be wasted, so he can snag a high paying position practically anywhere he wants.
CHAN
Earth Kingdom kid from a poor family™, I mean it’s just so clear in my mind. I imagine his mom runs a corner store, and he likes to use his very limited earth bending skills to make the shop look prettier. If the wooden tables break down over time, he’ll earth bend a makeshift counter to display the trinkets for sale. He’s quite charming even though he doesn’t have much to say about himself. In the lower class of the Earth Kingdom, practically everyone knows him because he likes to go around and make new friends when he’s bored. He’ll help out the elderly if they need it, and flash a toothy grin to anyone he comes across.

Camping Vlog | OT8
Ot8 x Gn! Staff Member Reader - platonic but one member seems to be a littleeeeee flirty ;)
(xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx)
You and the Stray Kids members arrived at the campsite in the early afternoon, the sun shining brightly overhead. The group was excited, chattering about their plans for the short weekend. As a staff member, you were there to ensure everything went smoothly, but you couldn't help but share in their excitement.
Your days were going to be packed, as you were filming a vlog for not just this camping trip, but using footage from this to also compile multiple other videos that you would release in the future; to make it look as if the Kids were going on multiple trips.
With a few outfit and scenery changes, it wouldn't be to hard to make it look as if they were filmed at different times of the year. But deep down you felt a little sad and guilty. The guys overworked themselves and to see them get excited over a mini vacation but still have to work made you wish you could help ease their load. And to make matters worse, they had to put on face as if they had been relaxing more than they actually were.
You sighed as you helped pile things out of the truck, looking at the immense amount of hair dye and wigs you needed to mess with to further the story of different time periods.
“Who’s ready to set up tents?” Chan asked, clapping his hands together.
You quickly rushed over. "No-No it's okay! We'll set them up! You guys don't have to-"
Chan shook his head and grabbed your flailing hands. "It's okay... we want to help. You guys help us a lot, it's time to return the favor."
You sighed and conceded, because how could you say no Chan, especially when he had the rest of the boys already working.
With everyone’s help, the tents were set up in no time. You made sure each tent was properly secured and that everyone had the necessary supplies. Han and Changbin worked together, with Han occasionally getting distracted and making everyone laugh with his antics. Seungmin and I.N were surprisingly efficient, while Hyunjin and Lee Know took their time, making sure everything was perfect. And Felix went around with Chan helping everyone.
“Hey, Y/N, can you help us with the firewood?” Lee Know asked. You turned and nodded at the cat eyes boy.
“Well, thats actually on the filming list!” you replied, motioning for the multiple cameramen to follow, grabbing an axe and handing it to Changbin. "You guys will be lumberjacks!"
As you cut and collected firewood, you made sure everyone was handling the tools safely.
Although you had to admit the way I.N. was handling the axe made you extremely worried. The minute he turned around with it, trying to respond to a question Han was asking, just barely missing the quokka's arm you squealed.
"JEONGIN BE CAREFUL!" Your voice had an echo and you turned to see Chan rubbing his temples after saying the same thing.
“They can be a bit much can't they,” he said with an exasperated sigh. "But I love them. You know, you kind of act like a parent of them as well, maybe you should join the group." You laughed, feeling a slight blush on your cheeks but kept focused on the task at hand.
The rest of the afternoon was spent collecting firewood, setting up the campsite, and preparing for the night. As the sun began to set, you all gathered around the campfire, the smell of burning wood filling the air. You ensured the fire was built correctly and safely.
You spent quite a bit of time looking through the recorded clips after the guys had seemingly gone to sleep.
"Y/N?"
You jumped in the chair you were sitting in. You turned to see a bare faced Chan, looking at you with wide eyes.
"Oh, Bangchan, hello. Are you not going to sleep?"
Chan laughed. "I never go to sleep." He said winking at you, and motioning towards the chair beside you. You nod, grateful for the company.
You sit in silence for a minute, both of you typing away, until Chan speaks up.
"You know...it's nice to be far enough from the city to see stars." You turn to see him looking up at the sky, with a soft smile on his face.
You sigh and nod, looking up as well. "Where I grew up, I could always see the stars. I miss it, but I wouldn't trade the life I have right now for anything."
You were to busy admiring the natural lights in the sky to notice the tired leader looking at you. And the way the shadows of the fire in front of you danced across your face.
"Beautiful, isn't it?" He murmured quietly.
"It really is." You stated quietly, mesmerized by the beauty laid out above you.
The next morning, you woke up to the sound of birds chirping and the smell of breakfast cooking. Felix and Hyunjin were in charge of breakfast, making pancakes and bacon over the campfire.
You were surpised Felix hadn't managed to catch anything on fire, due to his cooking skills- or lack there of.
“Morning, Y/N!” Felix greeted. “Hiking is on the agenda today right?"
You nodded and yawned as Seungmin motioned to plate filled with a bunch of yummy things. "Hungry?"
“Absolutely,” you replied, grabbing the plate. You made sure that everyone had something to eat, and sat off to the side, as the boys breakfast was recorded. You couldn't help but stifle a yawn. Absolutely, drained already.
"Tired?" You heard a friendly Aussie ask.
"Are you not tired? I'm more than sure you stayed up later than me. Although, I'm not even sure when I fell asleep. I must have been so drained I didn't realize I had walked myself back to the trailer."
"Oh well, thats 'cause you didn't." Chan said scratching the back of his neck. "You fell asleep in the lawn chair so I carried you to the staff trailer if that's okay... I promise I wasn't trying to be weird or anything..."
You choked slightly on your water. "Oh!" You wiped a little bit of it off your face. "No-it-it's fine. But I'm sorry that must have been such an inconvenience."
"No! It wasn't." Chan laughed nervously. "I just wanted to make sure you were comfortable."
You nodded. "You do always make sure all the staff are comfortable."
Chan nodded with a close lipped smile. "Yes...staff..."
You heard Seungmin clear his throat loudly. "Ya! Channie-Hyung stop flirting with the staff and get over here!"
You looked at Chan wided eyed and he mirroed the look. You laughed and scratched the side of your nose. "Looks like your kids are teasing you. Go and mess with them back, so we can get it on video."
Chan scurried off, the tips of his ears red as you got up to clean everything.
After a quick check to ensure everyone had proper gear and enough water, you set out on the hiking trails just a little while later.
The path was beautiful, winding through the forest and offering stunning views of the mountains. Chan led the way, with you and the rest of the members following close behind.
Throughout the hike, Chan stayed close to you, occasionally pointing out interesting sights or cracking a joke. “Look at that view!” he said, gesturing to a particularly breathtaking overlook. “Isn’t it amazing?”
“It really is,” you replied, smiling at the sight while making sure the group stayed together and on the marked trail.
You could hear the guys giggling behind you, and you kept turning to see what was up.
“We should take a group photo,” I.N suggested. An impish grin on his face. You knew he was up to something, but as long as it gave you some footage you were all for it.
Setting up the camera on a timer, the guys all posed for the picture, capturing the moment. As the camera clicked, Han added, “Everyone say ‘cheese’… or should I say ‘Y/N and Chan’?”
The group burst into laughter, and Chan rolled his eyes playfully. “Very funny, Han.” He said, but his smile didn't fully reach his eyes. You just chuckled behind the camera, disregarding Han's words and taking the pictures, humming to yourself at the product.
On the third day, you all decided to spend the day at the lake. The water was clear and inviting, perfect for swimming and kayaking.
“Last one in has to kiss JYP!” Changbin shouted, running towards the water. Seungmin getting into the water so quickly, it almost made you believe in teleportation.
You joined in the fun, but also made sure there were enough life vests and that everyone knew the safety rules. Lee Know and Hyunjin took turns on the kayak, while Seungmin and I.N tried their best to play chicken fight with Changbin and Felix, but failing miserably without good areas for footing.
“Y/N, come try the kayak!” Hyunjin called.
You shook your head, as lakes weren't really something you enjoyed. But after you got a few puppy eyes, you reluctantly padded out. Not realizing Chan was right next to until his arm brushed against yours, causing you to flail in fear.
He grabbed onto you and looked at you with wide and concerend eyes, but smiling still all the same. "You good, Y/N?"
You nodded and hear Jeongin fake a gagging noise, as Chan brought you back into a position to paddle.
As you paddled together, Chan glanced over at you. “Be careful." He warned. You nodded and laughed, as you pulled yourself into a kayak with Hyunjin.
Back on the shore, the other members couldn’t resist teasing Chan. “Looks like hyung has a crush,” Han said with a smirk.
Chan laughed it off, but you noticed a slight blush on his cheeks. “Focus on yourself, Han,” he said, shaking his head.
"But he's not wrong." Felix lilted.
"I feel like I'm watching a drama." Changbin said mimicking an overly romantic scene with Minho.
"Oh, oppa..." Minho said in his best female voice.
"I saranghae you." Felix said, making his voice even deeper than normal.
Chan frowned and got everyone to shut up as you walked over, rambling about the late evening activities, to preoccupied with your list too notice all the looks the members were shooting between you and Chan.
On the final night, you all gathered around the campfire once again. This time, it was for storytelling. Each member took turns sharing their favorite campfire stories, some spooky, some funny, and some heartwarming.
And Han's making absolutely no sense whatsoever.
This was going to be footage for one of the extra videos, so you did it earlier in the evening, while it was dark but not too late.
When it was your turn, you shared a story from your childhood, making everyone laugh with your animated retelling. Throughout the night, you kept an eye on the fire to make sure it stayed under control and checked in with everyone to see if they needed anything.
Although it turned a bit chaotic when Jeongin and Seungmin thought it was a grand idea to run around chasing each other with sticks that were on fire. Accidentally catching a baby sapling on fire and looking at you with utter shock and guilt as you and the rest of the staff rushed to put out the growing fire while Changbin, Minho and Chan scolded the two boys.
As the night went on, you made your way back to the fire the conversation shifted to reminiscing about the trip and the memories made. Chan, sitting next to you, leaned in and whispered, “This has been one of the best trips ever.”
You smiled and nodded in agreement. “Definitely. I’m glad everything went smoothly.”
Chan opened his mouth to say something else but hesitated. And by the time he had mustered up enough courage to tell you something else, you had gotten up and moved out of frame so they could film Chan.
You caught his fleeting glance and smiled at him, nodding at him encouragingly.
Minho chuckled as he took a sip from his canteen, and you raised an eyebrow, more than sure the liquid in there was not water.
The next morning, it was time to pack up and head back. The campsite was quickly disassembled, and soon you were all ready to go. Felix helped you pack up the staff van, but was surpirsed whrn you didn't pile in.
"Are you not going with the rest of the staff?" He asked.
"I need to record some car footage. And the staff member who was supposed to be in the van with you guys got poison ivy so they left earlier." You said adjusting your recording equipment.
Felix smiled. "Hmm, I bet Channie-Hyung is happy about that."
"Why would he be happy about that?" You ask innocently, pulling the camera over your chest.
Felix chuckled. "And I thought Jisung was dense..."
In the van, you recorded the Kids antics, smiling and feeling happy that they were happy.
It was nice to see them joyful, and not stressed. You knew how much they cared for their fans, meaning they put themselves first to make sure they were always there for you.
But by putting themselves they only ever took care of their physical health so they could work more. So to see them relax and put their mental helath first gave you hope in aiding them from being burnt out.
Chan was sitting in the row in front of you, watching as you giggled at something Changbin had said. He didn't even realize the soft smile he had on his face as he watched you, until Minho poked his shoulder.
"You practically have heart eyes." He joked, and Chan scratched his neck.
He couldn't even find it in him to deny Minho's accusations, which caused a satisfied hmph from the second oldest member.
“Thanks for making sure we didn’t set the forest on fire,” Jeongin joked, his cheeks red from embarrassment.
“Anytime,” you replied with a laugh. Snapping a few pictures of Felix asleep on Seungmin's shoulder, the younger one with a jokingly tense and disgusted posture.
For the rest of the ride, you let yourself get sometime to sleep, agreeing to allow the members to take pictures and videos.
But little did you know that was a mistake, since they now were all aware of Chan's newfound crush. Taking the time to focus the camera on his eyes locked on your sleeping figure, figuring the footage will come in handy at somepoint.
Although, probably not for their vlog. ;)
