I love Adrinette very much, they're everything to me. That said. I need a wacky highjinks scenario of Adrien going to visit Marinette transformed as Chat Noir and Mari FREAKS OUT because that's her EX (they had one kiss). that's her past SITUATIONSHIP (it lasted one day). What if her loving perfect amazing boyfriend discovers and gets upset (He hasn't realized her inner turmoil). can we talk about how much queer and trans joy was this season? maggie and nina. they/them muriel, saraquel, beelzebub, even GOD. "you're a good lad" "im not actually, either". that one shopkeeper and his non binary spouse, played by a non binary actor. beelzebub and gabriel. shax, nina and maggie all thinking azi and crowley were together. also yes i'm gonna mention: crowley and aziraphale's kiss. it's just, i get that everyone's hurt and so am i but can we please focus on how beautiful this season was to us? we got so much and i'm so happy, despite the ending.

Was anyone going to tell me that the Boy and the Heron is only the international title. The original and real title is How Do You Live?, which is the title of pre existing book that is referenced in the film. More importantly it made me stop obsessing over what makes the heron a deuteragonist so essential his bond with Mahito is crucial to the title and instead look at the themes of progressing in life and over coming grief, something I consider to be a much more moving part of the film. Deeply upset that I was working off that title which feels much blander than How Do You Live. Help

I have been thinking about this for a while but can someone explain or their own interpretation of the relationship between Kabru and Milsiril? I have been seeing people post their thoughts about them and I'm really interested in seeing other people's opinion about them

I think understanding Milsiril is important to understanding her relationship with Kabru. But Kabru's relationship chart pretty much says it all "Overprotective adoptive mother"

Milsiril from what I understand is an outcast among other elves, since she was bullied by them before, as her bio says in the adventurer's bible, she seems to have very negative feeling for her own race.

So she has a preference for other races and likes to raise orphans which can be considered an act of altruism (and it is obviously something positive that she's helping children with no home)

But, just like other elves it seems she doesn't really respects their individuality. In this one she wants Kabru to consider the sweet from his hometown the elven one.

Even other Elves (like short lived species lover Otta) have a bad interpretation of what she does

But I think in the end of the day she just wants a family and someone to love, while a little misguided I believe she's doing her best. Meanwhile Kabru is a rebel son that doesn't want to be smothered by her love (and he's right, I'm glad he confronted her to get what he wanted). And he does call her mother (although it's the more formal version) so I believe he considers her family, there's even an extra where he asks her to take him to a family reunion.

I think they're a great representation of a type of family I don't see often in fiction. I think its great Milsiril isn't a perfect adoptive mother and I love that they're still family despite it all.

This might have been way longer than you expected but I had to jump on the opportunity to share about Milsiril.

what do you think malleus has been doing this entire time during his long absence

honestly it's kinda...mushy...how much time has actually passed in-universe, since all the dreams seem to run differently and we've been popping in and out all over the place. so I think chances are it hasn't been that long for him, and he's still getting the run-around from Lilia!

(just let Malleus destroy everything in order to trap you in an eternal dreamworld like a normal person, gosh)
