Truly its the worst that a book that wrote about abuse so badly it triggered me more than In the Dream House's detailed descriptions of abuse ever could is peoples number one #sapphic #cozy #horror read. Its kind of sickening that so many people think of it as a cozy comfort story while abuse is a decorative prop and the author gives absolutely no fucks about actual abuse victims

give them a variety of exes. give them relationships that shaped who they are but did not last. give them people they tried very hard to love but it didn't work out. give them situationships that taught them things. give them something deep that was real but could not endure. things that hurt. things that ended amicably. people with whom hot passion cooled to warm affection and became undying friendship.

no more first and only. give me the context of what made them know the next or one after was final and right.

I cant stop thinking about a post I saw that was like, well you say women can be misogynistic and harmful as mothers but its never as bad or as dangerous as dating a man can be and all I can think of is Jeanette McCurdys book where she describes the YEARS of damage her mother caused by making her diet. I think its misogyny in its own right to dismiss the damage mothers can do as just being mean. Why is a decade of a eating disorder lesser than being physically assaulted?
