sonic and tails spent the early years of their childhood without aircon. they were homeless. when they build tails' workshop in mystic ruins (which seems to be right on the equator) its one of the first things he installs so he can work without getting drenched in sweat. sometimes sonic will come in and lay on the concrete floor to cool down. tails has to step over him

the first time knuckles comes to visit he's flabbergasted by the aircon. knuckles has gone literally his entire life without any sort of environmental control. if he wants to escape the summer heat he just sits under a tree, takes a dip in a pond, or borrow down deep enough to get to cool damp earth. aircon is a foreign concept and he very quickly decideds he hates it, it makes the air feel weird :/

Calling all blue heeler owners (or just dog owners in general)!!!!

How the actual fuck do y’all manage the shedding, bc my guy is the worst shedder I’ve seen and is even worse now that it’s springtime. I woulda never guessed it’d be so bad bc he’s a short haired dog but I was not prepared for the double coat. I’ve gotta say, my parents have a Great Pyrenees and my dog sheds WORSE than him

And I’m trying EVERYTHING! I vacuum almost daily which includes vacuuming the furniture bc it gets stuck so bad. I even bought a mini hand held vacuum for furniture and my car but it doesn’t matter bc 5 seconds later, it’s covered in fur again. I brush him almost daily and every time it’s like shearing a sheep, even after 30 min brushing sessions, it just keeps coming. I have a million lint rollers not just for myself but for the furniture multiple times a day AND I have lint roll him too to get the excess off but it still doesn’t help much. He also has a salmon diet which is supposed to be for a healthy coat in general but I’ve also heard fish oils and fatty acids help shedding too but it’s not 🥲.

So that being said, any advice? Bc fuck, the hair is literally everywhere all the time. And like I said, now that it’s spring and getting hot, chunks fall out

went to visit a long-time friend of mine for the first time in a while yesterday and google maps glitched so hardcore that it took me 20 extra minutes to figure out how to get on his street. It was literally telling me to drive through a fence behind an auto shop. And if I didn't want to drive through the fence, the other route would take me in an infinite circle

Guadalupe fur seal (L) – the Guadalupe fur seal's big "Only God can kill me" energy saw it advance in Round 0.5 with a whopping 74.6% of the vote. For details about the species, see that post.

New Zealand fur seal (R) – this otariid's name is apparently contested between the settler-colonialist nations of New Zealand and Australia, so let me just say that its scientific name is Arctocephalus forsteri and its te reo Maori name is kekeno. They live on the South Island of New Zealand and the southwestern coast of Australia. At one breeding site in New Zealand, mother fur seals will leave their pups upstream at a waterfall where they can safely swim (away from predators and strong currents) while the mothers hunt!
