It has a special place in my heart, not just for being one of the first mdzs fics I ever read, but also because I actually lived in a freshman dorm during the same year it takes place in, which means Wei Wuxian could have hypothetically been my RA 🥺

Honestly the worst thing about being raised by and around professors is that I can't really do the whole students bitching about professors thing even when I mostly agree with it, because my whole life I have been hearing the professor's side of the story. Every time someone talks about how ridiculous mandatory attendance or participation is there's a part of me that starts loudly protesting about how actually being in class is really important for learning, and it must be so hugely frustrating for the professor when students just don't show up to your class half the time and then when they do show up they're playing sudoku on their computer.

I've been thinking about writing an AU about the DCA. Set in the past. But, this time it's going to be before the Sun and Moon. I should be able to squeeze in their AI's. Once, and if I get it constructed properly. That's what I'm thinking about, who knows if it'll be a good story. So, basically.

The Endo dca, doesn't have a name. It's character name. But, the founder just called it 'Nought.' since it's going to be the first robot. Used for performance.

It wouldn't be set on the Jester performance, as I'm writing a founder to try something different, for the festival. But it's for the dance project, he's trying to do, to get some attention to help with his show.

The Endo will start off as a child one. Having no purpose, to begin with. For now. At the moment, it's going to be as a Robot.

Until, a lady comes in, and get's hired for Robot engineering, or another profession. Then, when she meets the model, she grows a liking towards it. And want's to help it, and stuff ect.

So, I have these Ideas, but what would be really challenging for me, is my lack of constructing a story together, with Imagination. That, I don't have. My plan is to try and break up, what I wan't and fill in the details.

My writing style comes off as, i'll write blah, blah, blah, this, and blah, blah, blah, that. Get stuck halfway though. And not sure, if it's going to make sense or not.

And also, to come up with the names of the characters, the name of the company, their jobs, their personality, and how I think about affecting them in the universe.

I have been thinking about it, for a while. And my brain, is thinking on scrapping it. But, I don't want to, because it has these feeling moments in there too. And I just want to give it, my best shot.

I'm trying as much, and as best as I can. I don't know what the outcome will be. I hope it'll be a good story. And a good achievement, because it isn't something, that I have much experience with. Try something different with it.

I'll see how it does, my prediction would be. It might not make sense here, and there. As I expected. I Imagine it with the scenario's I am constructing, sounds good. Just got to put it together. The rest of it, if I do it correctly, I think the story would be okay.

So, that's what I got at the moment.

You know I didn't expect to actually befriend people in fashion school, cuz I just applied for a short course, so I bet most people are just minding their own business, not to mention I'm sure people have already formed their friend groups and are less likely to accept new people, which is a sad reality I have to accept.

And outside of my little friend group, I'm actually pretty shy and a bit of a loner. I'm also quiet but am bubbly/friendly once you talk to me.

So imagine my surprise when I randomly got invited for lunch by a stylish friend group, like a main character moment and got deep into a conversation with someone who is not only a fellow weeb, but also someone who shares my unpopular. fandom. opinions??!!!!?

Okay TECHNICALLY I'm not related to the most recent person, but he's the father of my mom's best friend / practically adopted sister. Who is also dead as of like two years ago. And her mom died the year before that. And then six months ago we lost a close family friend who was basically my uncle and one month ago my grandpa on the OTHER side of my family got a very nasty cancer diagnosis and he's still here, thank god, knock on wood, but we have no idea for how much longer.

Please god can we have a fucking break? Especially my mom, who is the epicenter of all of it. I'm going through it but she's the one who lost her best friend and also knows all of these people much better than I do. Losing people sucks. Losing this many people in a row is so ridiculous I got this text and literally yelled "will people in our family stop fucking dying for five minutes?!" out loud.

I hate time. Make it stop.

People like to make fun of YA worldbuilding tropes that sort teenagers into arbitrary categories based on arbitrary characteristics that nonetheless have a huge impact on the teenager's future.

This is not unrealistic however, because the german education system sorts 4th graders based on their "academic merit" as determinded by one of their elementary school teachers into one of three (sometimes four) further type of schools, which has a drastic impact on the likelihood of you even getting the qualification to attend university.

Yes, your entire academic career path is dependent on whether your elementary school teacher likes you or not. Don't worry, some states think that's bullshit too and instead make fourth graders sit entrance exams for the education level of their (parents') choice. (Although the teachers still get a say). That's why sometimes have news articles about the burn out rates of elementary schoolchildren in Bavaria.

But don't worry! Politicians love to complain about... to many people in recent years receiving the qualification to attend university...
