Gosh I am so tempted to write a lil spinoff crossover between my cryptid batfam story and ATLA. Like you cannot tell me Bruce wouldn't adopt the banished fire prince if he got even the smallest of chances.

Angry traumatized vigilante child? Who gets mistaken for a spirit and creature which is this world's versions of gods and cryptids? He would snatch him up in an instant.

I love imagining swapping the protagonists of totally incompatable shows.

Aang from Avatar the last airbender and Danny Phantom.

Aang sets up a therapy program for ghosts so they can talk out their problems without the need for excess violence. He and Sam get along very well, as they have many ideals in common. He and Tucker also get along well, because Tucker reminds him of Sokka. Aang is essentially on vacation from being the avatar for a bit.

Danny feels obligated to do Aang's job, since he's the reason Aang isn't here. But unfortunately, ghost powers and bending aren't very similar. He can mostly do the bridge-to-the-spirit-world job since he's a half-ghost anyway, and he has a ton of fun fighting Zuko. But an entire army is a little out of his ability. Mostly he's fine until they get to book 3 stuff.

Aphmau from Minecraft diaries and Izuku Midoriya from My hero academia.

Izuku shows up in Phoenix Drop with no idea what's going on, but he gets the scoop pretty quickly. Suddenly their Zane problems go from 'insurmountable' to 'yeah, Midoriya can take care of that in a couple of weeks'.

Meanwhile, Aphmau gets to spend some time in an enviorment where there are people already used to dealing with young people who have no idea how to control their powers, and she gets some time to actually practice with competant teachers.

Star Spirit Douxie for an ATLA AU I've been contemplating

I have... so much made up lore for he

Douxie is an ancient spirit who, like Tui and Lah, lives amongst mortals

He was an ancient being, heralded by the Fire Nation centuries ago as "The Guiding Star" or "He Who Lights The Path". He's been lost to the people, and fallen out of common knowledge. Now the only people who know of his mythology in the FN are the Fire Sages, who believe he's nothing more than an old wives tale, and the Sun Warriors, who are more inclined to believe he existed and probably still does

Douxie went to live on Earth shortly after Raava fused with Wan, because he was her friend and couldn't bear to leave her on her own. In doing so, he fell in love with a mortal, and so committed his (slightly less immortal) existence into keeping an eye on the Avatar and to be with his lover

He has tried to otherwise befriend every Avatar since Wan out of respect and love for his old friend

It's only slightly a coincidence that he happens to need Aang's help this time around

French Narrator: Meanwhile.

(Godzilla just went into Burning mode from hearing about how Ozai treated his adopted daughter)

(Godzilla proceeds to fire multiple heat rays where Ozai is standing, stomp and tail smash the smoldering remains and fire enough heat rays to drill halfway through the crust just to be safe. All while roaring and this music plays.)

Azula/Ursa: ...

Azula: ...I think he had some issues to work out.

Pyro and Demo are firebenders each for their own reasons. Soldier is a non-bender from the Fire Nation Colonies

Soldier: The Fire Nation is an extremely patriotic country that revers their leader. They are also shown to be highly militarized as well. I feel like Soldier would be a Fire Nation reject born in the Fire Colonies who voluntarily forced himself into a war where he was not wanted, and proceeded to kill Earth Benders until someone told him that the Avatar brought an end to the war. He's a non-bender, but that doesn't stop him from using a homemade cannon that shoots fireworks to launch himself into the air.

Pyro: Self explanatory.

Demo: A combustion bender (because explosives). He struggled as a child to use his family's gift, and unlocked the ability to combustion bend while sweeping a library in the desert as a kid. No Degroot worth their mettle have lived to thirty with an eye in their head and both arms intact!

I just wanna give a special shout-out to the FIRST character that Tumblr voted to be a potential Joel Miller; Prince Zuko from Avatar the Last Airbender!

Through two different polls, he was determined as someone who would:

* become emotionally attached to Ellie Williams (in my opinion, maybe he might see her as a younger sister-figure, which doesn’t bode well for Azula’s fate in this TLOU AU. Alternatively, she might remind him of his younger self, leading to Zuko paralleling his relationship with Ellie with his own relationship with Uncle Iroh)

* is capable of escorting Ellie through the fungi-zombie apocalypse to the Fireflies’ hospital (the firebending should help a ton)

* doesn’t think twice about going on a murder spree when he learns that the Fireflies are going to perform fatal brain surgery on Ellie

Let’s give it up to our first alternate universe Joel Miller, Zuko. Or should we say…Zuko Miller?
