Holy shit this would be terrifying!

I lied, here’s one more: Inquisitor!Merrin. She‘d be the scariest of them all, hunting Jedi by throwing stormtroopers and purge troopers at them. Then, when the Jedi has defeated them, she teleports in and raises her soldiers from the dead, making the Jedi fight them again, this time with her in the fold.

cool, apply that same empathy & grace to the former jedi who outright disagree with jedi ideals, who think jedi beliefs are BS & agree more with the sith or other groups of ppl & don’t malign them as “dark”/“unnatural”/“evil” etc & we’re gucci 👍🏼👌🏼

Me: Fallen Order was good but the story was pretty run-of-the-mill as far as Star Wars goes and didn’t really do anything special, was very risk averse in general, I bet Survivor will be about the same.

Jedi Survivor: This is the story of Cal Kestis, a man broken by a life of constant war, struggling to maintain his faith and morality while fighting as a guerrilla rebel under the tyrannical reign of a brutal Empire. Traumatized and worn down, he finds himself increasingly forced to compromise his code to survive, prompting him onto a quest to find a possibly mythical world where he can escape the endless bloodshed and become something more than a killer.

In his quest, he finds himself confronting the failures of the Jedi Order and learning to reject the dogma that led them astray, while also facing his trauma and embracing the things that make him human, that which the Order had taught him to repress. Yet he does this without losing the core positive teachings of the Jedi, instead learning to follow the true ways of their predecessors rather than the shallow, rigid, close-minded thinking that the modern Jedi Order had fallen into.

He finds sanctuary and closure in neither violence nor stoicism, but in the arms of his family and the love he feels for them, eventually facing and defeating individuals that the system failed, allowing him to learn from their mistakes as well. He discovers new ways of viewing the world yet retains his own self.

In the end, despite loss and struggle, he regains his faith in the Force and what it really means to be a Jedi, beginning his journey of healing and forging a meaningful life even with knowledge that the dark times persist, accepting that he cannot single-handedly change the world only do what he can, as well as that he cannot fight hatred with hatred, only with love, and that even if the times ahead will be full of challenge and hardship, life is still worth living and freedom is still worth fighting for.

From the "Cal gets sent to Birren prior to the events of Jedi: Survivor and meets two folks who are very excited to meet him" fic I decided to start writing in the middle of the month and probably won't finish before Polyship Week is over:

BD chooses that moment to climb on Cal’s head so he can scan the drinks in Tayala’s hands, which doesn’t help Cal untangle himself from his poncho at all, and makes Tayala blink, bobbling the mugs a bit, and Cal doesn’t think before reaching out with the Force to steady them. In that frozen moment after, Cal knows he looks absolutely ridiculous, and potentially traitorous, depending on how these people live their lives. He exhales, trying to decide if he should simply turn around and try to avoid Bode on his way out the door, or go for his lightsaber, or jump out the window because he doesn’t think his hands will become untangled enough to work the doorknob.

i like the headcanon that they were bros back in padawan days, messing around and giving a headache to everyone in the temple c::

Can you imagine how annoyed Hunter, Echo, and Crosshair would be by his long winded stories and how fascinated Tech and Wrecker would be

It’s such a shock to see how Cal kills in the beginning of the game vs. the end.

His execution of the ninth sister is so respectful. He sends her off with something akin to a prayer. 


We see none of this restraint when he strangles the imperial officer. It’s the opposite, he’s savoring it. There’s no reason to slowly choke out Denvik, it’s solely for Cal’s sadistic pleasure.

Finally, we get to Bode. There are no final words. It’s cold and unfeeling. Cal shoots him once, twice, and turns away. There’s no speech or prayer. There’s just revenge.
