I had this hilarious thought.

Jane calls the baby bump 'bug' - which Neytir doesn't think much of, but then Nora tells him it's because there is a famous sci fi franchise on earth about aliens planting parasites inside human hosts who's abdomen explodes.... Neytir suddenly doesn't like the nickname.

Jane of course loves the bump but she's a morbid freak.

MOUNTAIN NA'VI LORE: THE REMIX

Due to environmental differences in the early stages of the evolution of the mountain na’vi, they adapted into two different races:

Cold Mountain na’vi, who adapted to the cold, dry mountains, and high altitudes of Kyuyetxa.

Warm Mountain na’vi, who adapted to the warm, humid mountains and lower altitudes of Myuntsoka.

For simplicity, we may refer to these races as Kyuyetxa na’vi and Myuntsoka na’vi.

Mountain na'vi have the weight of a forest na'vi on a more compacted body, this helps them to store energy to walk very long distances, thick thighs, thick arms, shorter and bulkier, they're very sturdy to keep up with the temperatures, altitude, and pressure of the mountains.

Pure Mountain na’vi have an average height of 7,1-8’3 ft, being the females taller and sturdier than the males.

Hooked nose to breath better in the altitudes of the mountains.

Smaller ears, rounded ear tips and larger earlobes.

Prominent/high cheekbones.

Hooded eyes, with double eyelids also called nictitating membrane.

Very tough rough and calloused hands and feet, needed to climb cliffs and walk around the rocky mountain soil.

Tendon locking.

Mountain na’vi are born with bunions, as an adaptation to climb better. They also have a larger toe to grip better.

Thick bodies and bone structures adapted to withstand great falls.

Myuntsoka na’vi can adapt to the cold mountains, burning the extra fat to keep warm, while Kuyekxa na’vi adapt to the warm mountain storing more fat as they do not need to warm themselves.

Gurjin is probably my favorite to draw in this au cause he’s gorgeous 😔 he doesn’t change like at all in this au, but I am trying to figure out how leadership works in this au. I still think Naia should be next to rule but eh

Naia is also fun to draw and honestly I think she’d be a lot like Neytiri and I’m not sure how to explain why. Also the second picture there is still Gurjin.

Thought process behind this:

It's a shame no one—absolutely no one—grabbed Zuko by the ponytail in book 1.

The general consensus that Katara acts like a booktok boyfriend.

Katara's pose is wrong perspective wise, but she came along so beautifully I didn't have the heart to change it. My job's to make the cow walk: whether it's on legs or nipples is none of my business.

Sorry if my handwriting is a bit illegible- but essentially just like in the show, Deet only knows of her clan and the world around her. She and Amri maybe snuck out a few times but she herself wouldn’t go too far.

I’m pretty sure I’ve said this somewhere before, but since the skeksi’s are kinda an invasive species, they’d be human in this au (lemme know if you wanna see their designs). Like one of the books say, Stone in the Wood is closest to them physically and so the clan is also closest to the “humans”, Rian included. I’m not sure what will happen to make Rian distrust them just yet, I mean Mira could die again but we’ll see.

And then we have Jen again. I personally think that as a father Rian would act a little like Jake Sully. But that is because of the way I think this au would go. He would still be a good father don’t get me wrong I just- I don’t know how to explain lol
